Abbey's POV
So we're all settled into Michael's car that was really nice I might add.
We were in his car because I wasn't ready for them to know which was mine.
I am always paranoid when the subject of cars was brought up.
It's a car and I needed one, whatever.
I glance out my window in the backseat since Dwight insisted to be apart of this.
The car has an awkward vibe around us since the silence was overwhelming. I could feel Jim's eyes on me from the other seat.
Obviously he must be concerned for me about my passing out.
I finally admitted the reason behind it. I think it was simply his good looks. Or the way he smiled at me. I go through possibilities that last until we arrive at the Sushi diner.
"Hey... you alright?" Jim's voice is panicky and his eyes search mine as I stuff my hands into my jean's pockets which were scarlet red by the way.
I swallow to gain confidence but only end up nodding.
Why was I flustered? I'm usually carefree!
Michael held the door open for him. Dwight shook his head at us submissively. He entered the diner next.
Jim and I exchange smiles when he opens the door for me like a true gentleman.
"Thank you!" I beam at him suddenly and all troubles from before subdues.
I can hear him walk behind me, probably to ensure I don't fall if I pass out.
I smirk at my thoughts.
Michael led us to the counter where they cook the Sushi right in front of you as you wait.
I see him drag a chair out, a hand out gesturing for me to sit there.
I smile appreciatively, fluttering my eyeslashes; not aware of anything else.
I sit straight and he pushes the chair close to the table.
I grin at him while he sits beside me.
Dwight on the otherside.
Jim sits beside him.
Dwight's POV
I look at my surroundings with pure interest.
The new girl is weird I'll have to admit. But I shouldn't judge because well, so am I.
The fainting was unnecessary but I guess she was hungry? Or nervous. I couldn't tell.
Something catches my eye.
She was looking at me as if considering me in her life. I didn't even know her name I've been too occupied with work.
"Hi, I'm Dwight Schrute," I introduce myself grandly, being somewhat macho for her to respect me.
"I'm Abbey- nice to meet you," she responds brightly, flipping her hair back messily.
We shake hands since we are now acquainted rightfully.
We ordered our food and are soon consumed with eating.
Jim's POV
I was hoping to sit next to Abbey to get to know her well.
Stupid Dwight had to sit there.
I'll get him back soon, I always do.
We make conversation either behind or in front of the person obstructing direct view.
"What kind of car do you drive?" I press, drinking from my beer.
Her eyes land everywhere but mine.
She shakes her head persistently.
This is getting more curious everytime.
She has on a thinking face which I stare at without her noticing.
"How old are you?" she asks with wide eyes.
"Twenty-seven," I respond immediately, ignoring Dwight and Michael's conversation.
"I'm thirty," she tells me- an humbled look appears on her features.
I wonder what it's like to be thirty; I know it's only a few years away but I've always wondered. Now I can ask her some things.
Abbey's POV
I'm on my way home to my house.
It was small but decent.
I think about Jim, Michael, and Dwight as I drive but make sure I pay attention to what's around me.
•••
After getting ready for bed, I flop myself down on the king sized bed, letting a relieved exhale out.
I lay that way for awhile before my eyes shut, finally drifting off.
