A/N: I've decided what direction I'm going with this story. It's mostly going to focus on massive worldbuilding, and might not follow canon religiously. Japan's going to be attacked by the Dan Ui guild, and since I don't know who participates, I'll have to make some OCs (okay, a lot of OCs), and Saku's going to eventually explore outside of Japan, and maybe go to Europe and other places. Just a warning for when that eventually happens.

Yami. That was his name, the branch manager of Japan, I idly thought while logging onto the Abyss Auction. You'd think he'd be killed by now... unless the Abyss Auction has to replace him every five years. Hmmm… Nickname? I guess… Sakukaze. Now… What do I want to buy… I do have quite a bit of money, but judging from what Han Jee-Han saw, likely not enough.

Speaking of him, I'll need to see if he still exists in this world, I do have his power, so he might not. Oh well, that's a question for the future. Now? Now it's time to do, in the words of Han Jee-Han, "The most honorable and ancient gaming pastime." Or, as it's normally called- grinding.

"Instant Dungeon Create: Zombies!"

+10 EXP - [Instant Dungeon Create - Lv. 3, 2.33% (70/200)]

As the world crumbles away, I ponder. 'So far, what I know, using Create Instant Dungeon gives me 10 EXP, and the EXP requirement increases by 200%.'

[Incorrect. EXP requirements increase by the past level requirement. For example, if you were to level up a level 2 skill, the level 3 skill's EXP requirement would be equal to the level 2's requirement plus the level 1's requirement.]

'That's… actually rather helpful. Huh.'

[My job is to ensure the survival of The Gamer 2.0, and therefore, you. My partner, 1.0's duty is to ensure the survival of The Gamer 1.0, as well as Han Jee-Han, and we both provide the information we deem necessary to allow your survival, and although you could have learned this, it seemed easier to simply tell you.]

'Well, I'm not complaining. Guess Han Jee-Han still exists, too. Good. He's going to save a lot of people.'

[Speaking of safety, you should... probably dodge.]

'Dodge? Oh, right'

Using my DEX stat, and some stamina, I dodged out of the way of the zombie who had tried to bite me in the neck and proceeded to try and analyze the situation. There were three zombies, the one who had attacked me, or- as I'm going to call him, Gregory Bill, a zombie about a metre away, and another one about to attack me, knees tensing as if to lunge at me. Quickly bending backward, Matrix-style, the zombie flew over my head, and, before it could get out of my reach, I, still with an open hand, jabbed the zombie in the stomach, knocking the wind out of it.

[-25/100 HP]

Standing up, I followed up with a few punches at Gregory Bill, knocking his HP down a bit.

[-70/100 HP (Gregory Bill?)]

I dodged the third zombie, who had just now reached me, and, deciding to try something new, grabbed Gregory Bill and the zombie, who will now be named "Unlucky Fellow", and cracked their heads together.

[New Skill Created: Facebreaker - Lv. 1 0.00% (0/100) "Why not both?"]

-Smash two enemies into each other. Does STR*2+((Facebreaker Level/5)D6, rounded up)). -Can stun.

-Costs 40 Stamina

"Rule One of Ionian Fight Club is: Don't talk about fight club."

[-25/20 (100*) HP (Gregory Bill) DEAD]

[-25/100 HP (Unlucky Fellow) STUNNED]

Given that Unlucky was stunned, I reached over to the lunging zombie, still with the wind knocked out of it, and proceeded to punch it a few more times, and then a few more. And, just for good measure, punched it. Just a bit more.

[-200/75 (100*) HP (Zombie #2) OVERKILL]

Bringing my attention to Unlucky, who was just starting to stand up, I punch him. Her? Yeah, it doesn't matter. What I'm about to do renders that a moot point.

"Shigan (Finger Pistol)."

[-100/75 (100*) HP (Unlucky Fellow) DEAD]

[New Skill Created: Rokushiki: Shigan (Imitation) - Lv. 1 0.00% (0/200)]

-Push your finger into a target, but fast. Does (DEX*2)+STR+1d4

-Imitation Skills can level up to Lv. 50, and then be upgraded into the real version.

"A bullet isn't needed to pierce the human body"

-Costs 50 Stamina

Huh. That actually worked? I've been working on that for a bit, I guess being able to correctly do something is dependent on the difficulty of the skill?

[Correct. This is why you were able to learn Facebreaker in one attempt, and yet required a few days of practice to even accomplish a, quite simply, amateur imitation of one of the strongest techniques of the One Piece world. Also, Imitation skills will be 200% harder to level up.]

Speaking of leveling up, did I gain any experience from the zombies?

[Yes.]

[You have gained 1200 EXP (1200/19900) Double EXP for 1 Zombie (OVERKILL)]

[You have gained 10,000 Ryo.]|

[You have a new quest.]

New Quest: Graveyard Shift

-Kill 15 Zombies

Rewards:

-100,000 Ryo

-10,000 EXP

-5 Points

[Y/N]

Well, I was looking for something to do for the evening, and I guess this will be it.

Returning to my apartment, I thank Gaia for the hundredth time that I had an actual Credit Card registered under my name, and that I could find an apartment within the week, not that I didn't like living in the streets, but I'd prefer to not go to sleep and wake up with a slit throat. Sitting down on my couch I look at my stats.

Name: Saku Kazegafuku - The Gamer

Job: The Gamer

Title: Abyss Newb (-10% Damage - Will be removed at Lv. 25)

Lv. 12 - 0.00% (15,700/19,900)

HP: 240/240

MP: 240/240

SP: 240/240

STR: 12

VIT: 12

END: 12

DEX: 42

INT: 12

WIS: 12

LUCK: 42

Stat Points: 5

I wonder, which stat should I put my points into? I think I'm going to save them up right now, but I'm probably going to put some of it into DEX, so I can get the bonus for 50 DEX, but I also want to increase my STR, so I can do some damage… oh well, doesn't matter right now, that's a problem that future me has to deal with, and then, and only then will I think about that. Well, I'm bored. I'm going to go to sleep.

I wake up to the sound of screaming, and the smell of smoke. I was sleeping goddammit, I just want to have a good sleep for once in this world! I couldn't sleep for the first three days, I was on the street, so I didn't want to die, but to get woken up four days in a row by ridiculous coincidences!? That settles it. Whoever woke me up should be scared.

Still, in my pajamas, I walk out of my apartment complex yawning, only to stop in my tracks. Across from the complex is what can only be described as an inferno. If the inferno was on fire. And then doused in chlorine trifluoride. No, seriously. I think the air around what used to be an apartment building is on fire. Who the fuck does something like that?! I wanted my sleep, not a murder mystery!

[You have a new quest]|

New Quest: Killer King! [Level 15 Quest]

-Stop whoever did the heinous act of disturbing your sleep.

-Oh, the horror.

Rewards:

-1,000,000 Ryo

-3 Levels

-10 Points

[Y/N]

I feel like the game is mocking me. I just like my sleep!

Well, I better head out then. I wonder what the '[Level 15 Quest]' thing is all about?

[Accepting this quest will put you in the middle of an Abyss War. Not a large one, but you should be very cautious.]

My first encounter with the Abyss? This is definitely going to be interesting…

A/N: I'm excited to see what this story evolves into, but who knows. To anyone who thinks I'm planning on updating this often, I will, but only for the first few chapters, and whenever my muse decides to bless me with more ideas. For the first arc, expect regular updates of short amounts, then, once it's complete, expect slower updates, with more content and worldbuilding. This first arc is going to be the Fire Gang Arc, and is mostly going to be showing how Saku isn't powerful in the slightest when compared to even the weakest gang face-to-face. But, then again, who said Saku was going to fight fair? His sleep is on the line, after all.
