Hey guy! Welcome back to Kodama! I had a really fun time writing it and I hope you have fun reading it. All I own is the plot and my OC character.

I twiddled my thumbs as I stood outside Class 1-A door, dressed in my hero costume. The main top is a light green, with leaf green strap-like decorations. I wore a white and grey leaf-like skirt that had leggings, which are dark green, with light green tree-like decorations over it, connecting to my boots with the same color scheme and pattern; and the white, translucent, baggy sleeves that wrap around on my lower arm, connecting around the back as well.

My wavy waist length brown hair was down and had a braid crown that had a vine mixed in. My make up was all natural aside from two green stripes going from cheek to cheek. Around my waist was a white belt that held a little sac that had my homemade pollen bombs.

I looked down at my lesson plans and waited for Shota to show up. Class 1-A students quirks were amazing, many perfect for rescuing while some not so much. "Maybe I could have them double up. Two brains are better then one. I could probably use the gym and arrange the Help Us Company to come out for the day. They can be a little mean but at least they can inform the students on what their doing incorrectly."

"You still think out loud." I turned my head to see Shota standing with his hands in his pockets.

"And you still look bored. C'mon you're half way through the first day and all your students passed your 'test'. You should be happy!" I teased. He sighed as he stepped closer to me.

"It doesn't matter what I feel." He said. "And I am. This is just my happy face." He opened the door and walked in.

"On what level of happy is that face?" I whispered before entering the class room.

The student took their seats and began to settle down. Confused filled their face as they all looked from Shota to me.

"All right guys. I wanna introduce you to someone. She will be teaching rescue lessons through out the year." He looked at me and we switched places at the podium.

"Hello, My name is Harumi Anko, also known as the Nature Hero: Kodama. I specialize in mountain and nature disaster rescue. It's a pleasure to meet you." I said with a sweet smile. The room filled with whispers and comments.

'Kodama? I've never heard of her?'

'She's so pretty!'

'Almost like a fairy!'

'36...24...36... so hot...'

'Dude that's a teacher.'

'He's not wrong though.'

"Quiet!" Shota said in a serious tone flashing his quirk. "Be respectful."

"It's fine Eraser. They're just excited." I said. He sigh and began to walk toward the door.

"I'll leave you to it then." I nodded and with that he left.

"Now as he said I'll be teaching rescue lessons for the year. Whether or not you choose to join a rescue agency, a hero should always know first aid. How many of you actually know first aid?"

A couple student raised their hand.

"Okay, good. What about CPR?"

No one raise a hand.

"That's expected. Rescue is 20% of a hero's job. Saving lives its the greatest achievement a hero can have. I'm here to make sure you all understand the requirements that goes into it. For example: You just arrived to the disaster zone and there was a person stuck in the rubble that was crushing them, what do you do?" I looked around the room. "Kaminari?"

"Aa.. pull them out?" He guessed.

"Hm... essentially, but heaven forbid you pull and end up tearing the victim apart, or the rubble caves in even more. There so much to be done before even thinking about touching the person. Though you don't want to take too much time. You have to be fast and efficient." I explained. I talked to them more about what's to come in the lessons and by the time I finished 15 minutes had passed. I pulled out papers from my planner and passed them out.

"Today is just an introduction. I'll be coming by every Wednesday to teach you. This is just a summary of what you'll be learning through out the year." I smiled brightly. "That's all I really have to say today. Any questions?" No hands. "Well then I'll see you all on Wednesday."

With that I collected my planner and walked out the door. I walked toward the nurse's office and was shocked at who was there. On the bed next to my desk was Shota, dead asleep. My heart skipped a beat while my legs walked me over to the bed. I sat on the edge and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Shota, c'mon. You can't fall asleep on the first day." I said lightly shaking him. "Falling asleep at school is just as bad as fall asleep on a date."

"Didn't you fall asleep one time?" He said as he just opened his eyes.

"You're the one who wanted to have a study date til 1 o' clock in the morning." I teased leaning back.

"Worst date ever..." I laughed out loud as he sat up bending one knee up. "How did the class go? Any trouble?"

"No not at all." I said calmly. I walked over to my desk to put down my planner. I fell in to the swivel chair. "Most of them don't really know much about rescue which is fine."

"Sorry about the comments. From the boys at least." I blushed a little

"They're teenage boys, what can you do?" He grunted and stood to feet. "You're leaving already?"

"All might's got Class 1-A, doing combat training. I'm heading to the monitoring room."

"Oh do you mind if I come? It would be nice to know what my students quirks were." I twiddled my thumbs as my nerves grew. "Plus it would be nice to catch up. It's been more than ten years." He stared at my thumbs and then at me.

"You ok?" He noted.

"Huh?"

"Your thumbs. You always did that when your nervous." I looked down at my thumbs and stopped.

"It's just first day jitters. Nothing to worry about." I stood to my feet and grabbed my lunch. "C'mon I bet its about to start."

He smiled a little as he lead my out of the nurses office, to the monitoring room. We both took our seats then he logging into the system. He pulling up the camera feed.

"Aw there so cute in their costumes." I exclaimed as I opened open my lunch.

"No doubt they will change through out the year." He said as I could clearly see the students drawing lots to see their teams.

"I remember you looked so cute with your big goggles on and Mic would always tell you to change it." I giggled.

"I see you no longer have that creepy mask." He teased back. My mood dropped.

"Yeah, well when I returned home it kinda started to scare the kids so now I just wear make up." We both laughed."Oh here!" I dug through my bag and took out a small container. "I made these a few days ago and packed a few today. Plus I know these are your favorite."

He grabbed the container and chuckled. He took a bit of the food and sighed. "Your mothers sour plum recipe is still amazing." I took out my bento out. "And I see your love more spicy mushrooms haven't changed."

I looked down at my bento to see that there was; King oyster mushroom, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms. I held out the mushrooms. "There's trout in there too, not just mushrooms."

He picked out a shiitake and ate one. "I think your cooking has gotten better." I blushed pulling out a water bottle and pointing it at him. He looked at me, confused.

"Give it a minute." He looked at the bottle then at me then back at the bottle. His eyes widen a little as he snatched the bottle and chugged. "You know you can't handle my level of spicy."

"I think I'll just stick to the plums." I laughed.

This reminded me of the time I had him try my mushrooms for the first time. One chew and he was spraying his mouth down in the fountain at the park. My heart skipped beats just thinking about the past. I remember after kissing him he would still taste the fire sauce on my lips.

Our attention turned toward the screen as we sat silently and watch as the first group fought. Or rather, Bakugo fought mostly. That boy seriously has some issues and it might cause him problems. By the end of it, Izuku and Ochaco were both on the ground but had won. Little robots rolled in and placed Izuku on a gurney.

"It's only the first round and I'm already needed." I sighed as I stood to my feet. "So much for catching up with old friends." I walked to the door and was stopped.

"We could go get drinks." I turned to look back to see him scratching the back of his head. "Why don't we go to that cafe that has your favorite matcha cheesecake?" I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"You still remember Mrs. Asuka's cafe and my favorite cheesecake, my nervous twiddling." I placed my hands on my hips and smirked. "Did you miss me?"

He chuckled lightly and shook his head. "So is it a yes or no."

I giggled as I nodded. "I would love to. See you later." I turned back around to exit out the room. My heart was beating wildly and my face heated up. I felt giddy and was anticipating our outing. Standing in front of the nurse's office I patted my cheeks trying to stay focused on the task. I opened the door to see Recovery Girl already treating Izuku.

"Sorry I'm late. How bad were his injuries?" I asked as I washed my hands.

"His body is to exhausted for my quirk. We'll have to wait til tomorrow." She explained. "I did first aid but only time will tell."

"Sorry to cause so much trouble especially so early in the year." Izuku apologized. I walked up to the boy and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I promise you, it's nothing to fret over. I'll make you a special tea that'll help."

"Special tea?" He asked. I stood up to walk over to the little corner kitchen that was there and heated up a kettle of water.

"I'm a bit of a herbalist and studied for years on different plants and roots. It also helps with my quirk." I headed toward the window that held a variety of potted plants. Grabbing one of the pots and turned toward the boy. I looked down at the plant. "Do you mind lending me some help?"

It was like the plant had come to life as it grew 2 inches, producing more leaves. The boy gasped at my quirk. I picked of a few leaves and 2 roots along with a fruit. I also picked off some lavender leaves of another plant. "This plant enhances energy, but it also helps with inflammation. The leaves and roots do all the work while the berry from it takes away the bitterness. The lavender is just to calm you down and relax." I placed the roots and leaves in a tea pot and added the hot water.

I poured him a cup and handed it over. "Here... drink it while its hot."

"Thank you." I walked over to my desk and sat in the chair. "Oh wow! Its really good."

"Thanks." I noticed that his eyes began to fall and he laid back back instantly falling asleep.

"Wow. That worked a lot quicker than I thought." Recovery girl stated.

"Well it is from the nightshade family." I joked as I logged everything that happened in a book. Silence filled the room as we worked.

My mind flooded with the memory of the monitoring room. The little time that me and Shota shared, reminiscing on the times in high school. I was amused that he still couldn't tolerate my spicy cooking. I was shot out of my mind as the door slide opened and Shota walked in.

"You left your lunch box in the monitoring room." He said as he walked up to me, holding out the bag.

"Oh wow I really did just up and leave. Thanks." I grabbed the bag and looked at him. "You ate the mushrooms didn't you?"

"No they were too spicy." He turning away from me. I smirked at him and held out a few tissues. He looked at me with a confused face. "When you really like something you eat like a 3 year old. Plus, I can smell my homemade fire sauce from here and its all in your scruff."

He gave me a look and grabbed the tissue to wipe off his face, while I giggled in my seat. He seemed to have enough of my teasing for the day and turned to walk out.

"About your question that you asked." He turned to me and we both locked eyes. "Yes. Yes I did."

With that he left and left me confused. Question? What question? I bought back to the monitoring room, replaying any conversations, and suddenly my face turned beat red. My hands immediately covered it.

'Did you miss me?'

"Oh my god! I was just teasing! Why did I have to go and asked that? I'm so stupid!" I freaked out.

"Aw young love!" I squealed in surprise totally forgetting that I wasn't alone.

"I forgot you were here." I said calming down. "Sorry you had to see that."

"It's no biggie. I was the same way when I was younger. It seems that you and Aizawa are pretty close." Recovery Girl hinted

I smiled at her statement and sighed. "To put it bluntly, I would say its like watering a dried out plant that didn't get to bloom."

"A little advice from an old lady." I look at her. "If two people are meant to be together, they'll eventually find their way back to each other, no matter how many detours they take."

I took those words to heart as I glanced at the door.

...

Eventually, huh?
