Chapter Two

Kagome's POV

It's finally time! It has been two months since I was told about the Hunter Exam and me being ordered to attend them for Sesshomaru. I have been training practically non-stop. I mainly have been reconnecting with my fox self, meaning I have been tracking, hunting, sparring with Shippo to hone my fox demon abilities, practicing using my reiki and youki, and now after a harsh two months in the wilderness, it's finally time to leave. I have received a summons to Sesshomaru's office, just like before. I bet you're wondering why I'm training with Shippo, well to answer that I have to explain that he has lived through the five hundred year separation from be to be in my era, He is now five hundred and fifty-three years old. He is now a eight tailed fox demon. Just like before, I knock on the door to his office and wait for him to tell me to come in.

"Ohayo, Fluffy-sama. Now when do I leave." I smirk at him to tease.

"For the last time Miko, stop calling me that." He growls.

"But, Fluffy-sama, you always say it's the last time I should call you that and that's never the case." I say with a giggle and walk around to his chair. "Besides, you know it will be boring without me here to bother you until I return home." I purr whispering in his ear.

"Imoto, it will be quiet while you're gone." He says simply, and I see his 'smile'. "Now to business." He says seriously I make my way back in front of his desk and stand at attention.

"Yes, Sir." I slip easily into the mask of a soldier and co-leader.

"You will be leaving by plane in three hours. You be given currency for the continent and an allowance for both before and after you pass the exam. I will be providing you with a new video phone from our R&D department. It will be used before and after the exam since you are not permitted to use tech that is primarily used for talking. Once you succeed in the Exam, Shippo will be sent with to help you establish a new branch of Taisho Industries in the Republic of Padokea near the Heaven's Arena. After you are done, contact me and you will be given further instructions from there. Any questions?" He asks after giving his orders.

"Yes, Sir, what am I to be doing with Killua Zoldyck after the exam?" She asks.

"Ah, good question. The answer is simple, you will be accompanying him until we are instructed by the Zoldyck clan that he is no longer needed. Usually the Hunter Exam isn't completed when you receive the license, but when you are rated by a Ren instructor you will be considered a full fledged Hunter. After that happens, you will be allowed to travel the continent without any issues. Killua will also be needing to do this as well. From what I've heard about the boy, he has already been trained by a Ren instructor, but since he hadn't had a license yet he still has to be evaluated. You will be required to do the same thing, Ren is very similar to using your reiki and youki so you shouldn't have much of a problem. You may also use that time to get on Killua Zoldyck's good side." He answers.

"Understood, Sir. I will be packing and at the airport as soon as possible. Will I be taking a regular charter or the private jet, Sir?" I ask.

"You will be taking the Jet of course Imoto." He does the lip twitch smile again and I relax back into being me.

"Thank you Anki!" I say happily. "Permission to hug you goodbye?" I ask. Instead of answering he gets up from behind his desk and comes to me wrapping his arms around me.

"I will miss having you here Kagome. I know I don't usually share such words, but it is true." He says and kisses the top of my head. I smile and wrap my arms around him.

"I know, Sesshy. I will miss you too, but I will not fail you. I swear on my life...Sesshomaru-sama." I look up at him with my chin resting on his chest.

"I know you wont, Kagome. I wouldn't send you if I did not expect your success." He replies, nuzzling my neck taking in my scent. I nuzzle up under his chin and do the same, purring lightly.

"I'll be going now, Aniki. Take care of yourself." I say cheerfully and heading off to my room.

It isn't long before I'm packed with my katana and throwing knives as my two weapon skills. I head off to the airport with phone in hand sending a text to Shippo telling him I'll see him as soon as I finish the exam. After a two hour flight, I land pulling out my phone and shoot both Sesshomaru and Shippo a text about my arrival. I make my way to the exam sight. I see a whole horde of people. I proceed to check in and receive my number which was 202, and wait with my stuff along with everyone else. That's when I spot him, Killua Zoldyck, and my heart starts to race.

"Holy fuck! He's hotter than his picture." I hear my inner beast Hikari say in my head.

"That he is...and I can smell him from here. He isn't human." I reply back to her and wait.

Killua's POV

It's time again for me to head off to the Hunter's Exam. Gon and the other's bid me farewell at the port on Whale Island. I have trained and finished the book that I got from the Hunter library. The ride on the boat to the first Exam sight is boring. I sigh and end up doing nothing but meditate. A storm doesn't hit, like when Gon said he took the boat, so that makes it even more boring. Its a week after, when we finally get to the cave and I get through check in, my new number is 44. Great I have the same number as that psycho. I narrow my eyes at my badge and head inside, that's when I remember I'm supposed to find Kagome Higarashi. I look around and I spot her, instantly my heart starts to slam against my chest. What...what the hell is this feeling. I think to myself.

"Brat! It's her, it's Kagome..." I hear Raichi practically whimpering, I thought he was an elemental not a dog.

"She...she smells good." I think to him.

"Get us to her NOW!." Raichi growls and I start to move. It isn't long before I'm next to her.

"Excuse me Miss, is this your first time taking the exam?" I ask her calmly.

"Yes it is, is it that obvious?" She asks shyly.

"This is my second time taking the exam. Hey do you want to try to get through the first part together?" I offer.

"Thanks, that would be great!" She smiles at me and stands up. I look her over and try not to drool on myself. Fuck me she's even better than her picture. I think to myself.

"My name is Killua Zoldyck, what's your name?" I introduce myself and extend my hand.

"Kagome Higarashi, it's nice to meet you Killua-sama." She smiles at me and takes my hand in hers. I feel my heart speed up and lean in.

"Say...Kagome-chan...you're not human, are you?" I whisper in her ear. She steps closer to me and is practically pressed against me smirking playfully.

"You're absolutely correct, Killua-sama. I'm a hanyo." She whispers a purr in my ear, I have to use all my restraint not to grab her and kiss her.

"Neither am I, and please just call me Killua." I respond, my hand brushing her waist experimentally. Damn she feels good so close.

"I know, Killua, and please just call me Kagome." She purrs again and I stiffen feeling her nuzzle against my neck.

"H..how do you know?" I ask her trying to keep my breathing even.

"Your scent, you smell like a thunder demon...a familiar one at that." She answers and on instinct, I bury my nose against her neck taking in her scent that's when I hear a growl from Raichi with one word. "Mine!" I have to keep my eyes from going black.

"You...you smell amazing. Fuck me Raichi is throwing a fit." I mumble the last part hoping she doesn't hear it. I hear a cute little giggle.

"Let me guess...you heard the word 'Mine' screamed at you." She says and does something unexpected again, purring still she nips the spot where my neck meets my shoulder and it takes everything in me not to slam her against the wall and fuck her senseless.

"Yes...that's exactly it, fuck you feel amazing." I mumble into her neck and nip the same spot on her she did on me, pulling her as tight against me as I can.

"That means one thing, Killua." She shivers at my action before she speaks.

"We're mates." We say at the same time. Next thing I know, I'm being dragged to a dark part of the tunnel and shoved against the wall. She kisses me hard, I groan against lips gripping one hip tightly with one hand while my other one finds itself in her hair deepening the kiss. I force my tongue into her mouth possessively and flip us so she's pinned. I hear a little moan and I feel my fangs extend, on pure instinct I sink my fangs into her neck, a moan escapes her and I feel a set of fangs buried into my neck groaning against her neck, grinding my hard on against her. She shivers at my action, but pulls away.

"We...we...need to stop now." She says between kisses.

"We...should...at least until we aren't in public." I chuckle against her neck.

"True, if any female looks at you I'm liable to rip her head off." She growls at the thought.

"Same if any male looks at you the wrong way." I growled and sat on the floor waiting for the first instructor to come. "You might as well get comfortable we will be here a while." I say and smile as she sits next to me.
