The prince was also a sheepdog. He looked about their own age and was wearing a silk, white shirt, black trousers, a red overcoat which was gilded with gold, gold buttons were gleaming with a coat of arms on them and an enormous red hat, also detailed in gold. A single pink feather adorned the hat, swaying lightly in the breeze from the open window. His mouth was opened in a magnificent smile, His startling blue eyes looked as though they were smiling too as they glinted in the light.
A pig helped him down from his throne, he smiled even more broadly, and rushed forward. Grabbing Shifu's paw he shook it wildly. "this is such an honour!" he cried. "meeting my real life hero's, it's so fantastic I can't even believe to tell you" he continued to grin at Shifu who gave a weak smile back.
"ummm likewise your highness" Master Shifu replied, his mouth twisted into what he hoped was a realistic smile.
"and here is the dragon warrior! My goodness it's such an honour" he bowed deeply to Po who was still rather startled by his bizarre appearance.
"and master tigress, and monkey and ohhhh crane" the prince seemed to be getting more excited as he met each person.
Viper was rather quiet throughout this whole ordeal. She was just watching the little sheepdog as it greeted each master full of childlike enthusiasm. The prince grinned at her and she felt her cheeks burn and her heart speed up.
"and this is master viper" he cried bowing so low to her that his hat fell off. Blushing, he put it back on his head, the before spotless pink feather now a dull grey from the dust. "I heard dad decided that you would show me around. Thank you very much I promise I'll be good" he gave a quiet chuckle.
Viper smiled and nodded. "yes, the scroll said" she murmed trying not to allow the sweat beads that had gathered on her tail to drip onto his shinning black boots
Master Shifu smiled at the prince. "I must return too my ancient scrolls please make yourself at home, everyone else see you at training" and he left, his eyes glowering at Monkey and Po who were both fighting the urge too start an arm wrestle with each other.
"ooo training. Kung Fu training I presume, how fascinating" the prince smiled.
"well this is a kung fu temple" tigress explained in her try-not-to-be-too-rude-to-important-people voice. She was starting to get rather annoyed at the prince.
"would you like some breakfast?" asked Po.
The prince was astounded by the different wondrous foods on the table. He had never tasted anything like it and for a few moments there was silence as everyone enjoyed the meal.
"so what's a day here like?" He asked energetically, trying not too look as keen as he felt.
"well we get up, get yelled at by Shifu, eat, get yelled at by Shifu, train, get yelled at by Shifu-" Monkey explained then he noticed Tigress's glare and immediately turned back to his bean buns.
The prince was fascinated, oohing and ahhhing like an excitable ten- year old as Po told him about Tai lung and lord Shen.
"and is Shifu a difficult master, master viper?" he asked as he turned around too face her.
Viper who hadn't really been listening gave a start at her name and chocked on her noodles.
Po thumped her on the back. "you alright?"
"yea..h…I'm…just…choking" she gasped, massaging her neck with her tail.
"it's so interesting, how you handled that gorilla bandit I mean" the prince complemented. He hadn't noticed her choke.
"well, I just danced for it I suppose"
"ooo do you do ribbon dancing?"
"just a bit, I haven't done any for a while now" lied Viper.
"you did some yesterday!" Crane barked indignantly.
Viper was saved from salvaging that situation by the training gong. Everyone stood up and left the kitchen, leaving viper and Prince George alone in there.
"so why don't I show you the village?" viper offered.
"what? Oh yes please" the Prince mumbled and followed her, trying to think of a reason why she would lie to him.
The village was busy as usual and the sky was beginning too clear up. The two jostled through the bustling crowds as viper told George about each stall. "that's the apple stall and that's the abaci Shop and that is Mr ping's restaurant"
"who's Mr ping?"
"po's father, now come on. You want to try the noodles, don't you?"
"certainly"
The restaurant was crowded with people. Mr ping was floating around, taking orders and collecting bowls. At the sight of viper he smiled warmly and prepared a table.
"master viper, how Good Too see you!" he cried.
"you too Mr ping" viper replied. "and this is prince George of England, he's staying at the jade palace" she introduced to mister ping's confused face as he watched them enter together.
"oh a Prince! How marvellous, do sit down and what would you like?"
"I think we'll have too special ingredient soups please" viper decided, Tearing her eyes away from the menu.
Nodding, mister ping left. "so why did you want to come here?" viper speculated.
"well I've always been obsessed with kung Fu, quite a strange obsession as it's not popular in England, but I always thought it was fascinating. I asked my parents time and time again too come here and eventually they agreed on two conditions"
"and what were they?" questioned viper. She felt calmer now, she could still feel her face blushing when he looked at her though. In an attempt to hide this she plastered on her best smile.
"well the first one- are you alright? You look constipated"
"I'm fine please continue" she blushed, trying to smile normally but looking mostly like she had an awful toothache.
At that moment mister ping came over. He was grasping two China bowls. Inside both was steaming, swirling soup. Glad of the distraction, viper took her bowl gleefully as Mr ping bustled off, shouting at two rabbits indignantly (don't touch the dragon warrior's mop. I've already told you before!).
"try some you'll like it" she told George as she placed a spoonful into her own mouth.
"I'm sure I will"
The Prince picked up his spoon and tipped the steaming liquid into his open mouth. All at once an assortment of exotic flavours all exploded over his tongue. Grinning at viper, he took another spoonful.
"this is excellent!"
"I knew you'd like it!" chucked viper, unintentionally giving him her normal, gorgeous smile.
The Prince smiled back. Dad was right, she is the perfect person. He thought too himself. "what's it like being a snake? Only I can't help but notice. You have no limbs is that a problem for kung Fu?"
"oh no. But it was the first thing master shifu said too me. He admired the others, telling them what they had that they could use too their advantage as a warrior but all he said too me was that I had no limbs" she frowned, and hung her head as she remembered.
"oh I'm sorry I mentioned that. I was just intrigued I didn't think about what people might have said before." Mumbled the Prince apologetically as he watched viper's smile deflate.
Hidden behind a rubbish bin, a few feet away a harsh voice whispered; "we've seen him. He's sitting in that restaurant and he seems too be with some sort of reptile. We'll be able to take her out no problem!"
