CHAPTER 2*

I look into the mirror wearing the overalls he gave me. Yes, I'm right. They were too big for me. I looked around and saw a sewing kit on top of the table near the TV. If that boy was right about the whole quest and marrying stuff. I better do it without feeling uncomfortable. I started adjusting the cloth and made it shorter and fit. Just a little bit above the knee.. and there! I changed my clothes and looked again. It was much more comfortable this way.

I was about to go out when I noticed that my blonde hair kept tangling in front of my face.

Whenever we had filming in the fields, I often saw farmers tie their hair up to keep it from falling down. I tied my hair into a pony tail and march off.

Once I've opened the door he was there. Obviously waiting impatiently for me.

"I'm sorry it took so long. I uh.. made a few changes."

I said a little bit embarrassed.

He look at me and snarled. Do I look hideous?

"Who told you to show some skin? Is that really necessary for you to escape this game right away!?"

He growled. Wait what? No. I'm not showing skin out of.. I just want to be comfortable. So wearing a shorter version of something is wrong now? I don't get it.

I just looked down and tugged my hair out of frustration.

He looked away and grabbed the tools he collected before and shoved it to me. "I don't know why you got the easy route. When someone begins the game the farm is usually dirty covered in weeds and stones. But here you are with an already completed one. You probably didn't started the game. You just started a save file, did you?" He asked.

"What? No! The game files was empty when I opened it."

I said explaining everything. After I told him the details he looked rather more concentrated than ever.

"Here. Plant this beside the pond you see there. That's your first job."

He said pointing towards the cleaned tilted piece of land.

"How?

" I asked. "I've never planted crops before." Like I said, all my life was studying academics and showbizness. No adventures, no experiences.

"Do I have to teach you? Learn it on your own."

He said as he turned his back and walked towards the forest. This brat.. If only i wasn't patient enough I would have stabbed you with this axe. Sigh. What should I do? I walked towards the soil and looked at the bag of seeds. When I was filming in a farm, I saw them kneeling down like this and gently putting the seeds in every whole and covering them. Might as well do it.

If it worked in real life it might work here as well.

After doing so I took the watering can and gently watered them. Turnips, Huh. It states here that it needed 5 days to grow. Wait.

Five days? Which means that I might have to be in this game for days, will my parents be searching for me by then? Or my dozen of fans be in frantic by now?

To be honest I don't know myself. My aren't were never there for me. They are always busy at work. I don't blame them tho'. And my career? People only like you based on your looks but doesn't really care about how you feel.

So does it matter if I'm gone just for a few weeks or.. maybe a year or two?

I was brought back into reality when I felt tapped on my shoulder.

When I turned around I saw a huge guy!

He was tanned all over and wearing a white tank top.

"Wait. You aren't Jack. Who are you? His cousin perhaps?" The huge guy asked. He showed me his hand, implying for me to shake it. I slowly reached out and did so. "Um.. no. I'm Claire and I didn't kn—"

"Zack. What are you doing here? It's not yet Five."

Before I could continue my answer the boy butt in and shove me behind him.

"Well Harris supposed to be the one who'll deliver this package but unfortunately he hit his wrist and currently unable to lift heavy things." The huge guy whose probably name is Zack answered.

"Thanks, that must've been the new feed I ordered. I'll handle it from here."

Zack put down the box gently and smiles at me.

"Well? Aren't you gonna introduce me to the newcomer?" he asked.

"A friend of mine who came to stay for a while." He nonchalantly replied while inspecting at the feeds inside the box.

"Friend? Of you.. ugh, no way." I whispered begging to differ. "Hi, Zack? I'm Claire. Pleasure to be your acquaintance." Zack shook my hand again and left.

After he left I took the watering can again and started to water the remaining plants I haven't watered.

"Hey.. Hey you!"

"..?! Wha.. me?" I asked pointing at me. He suddenly shouted I almost stepped on the poor plant. "Is there anyone else here besides us?" he asked sarcastically.

"Well I have a name you know." I said irritated. This is going nowhere with this guy. He is the true reflection of a ball of pride.

"And so? Did I ask? Go bring this to the Winery." He pointed towards the basket of strawberries. They were so big and beautiful. Did he.. that guy who only see himself and no other than himself grew this? Wow..

"But I don't know where's the winery." I replied. "Just go straight and you'll find it. Don't be such a crybaby." He said as he walk towards the house. Goddess, being with him is much more difficult than being in a rpg game.

I did as what he told me.

I walked out of the farm and went forward. When I was walking I saw guy walked out of the building clenching his fists. He must've been in an argument judging from his face.

"Tsk. What are you looking at!?" He growled as he noticed me staring.

"Calm down. Are everyone in this town impatiently rude?" I said crossing my arms below my chest. He looked at me nervously and shook his head. "Uh.. no. They aren't. I'm sorry. It's okay just.. " He said rather shy. Well, at least he apologized. Better than someone I know.

"Having a bad day Huh? Tell me about it." I said. While walking towards him. He sighed and sat on the cold paved floor. "It's my gramps. Never seem to appreciate anything that I do." he said as he tilted his hat down to cover his face.

"Then why are you still here?" I asked. Lowing myself as well in order to have a better look see of his face. "My parents force me to. They said that If I want to accomplice something I need to be with him." He said in annoyance while pointing at the house behind us. "I see." I nodded. "Well then, if that's the case, everything fine then." I said while standing up.

He looked at me dumbfounded. Ah. I finally saw his face up close. I felt like I blushed a little. Seeing those blue sharp yet kind looking eyes. Before I stare for too long I took a grip of myself. I

"Fine? How?" He asked.

"One could bear hardships at the beginning but do remember that no student can ever be as good as his teacher without a proper teaching." I said.

"Don't give up. Fight today win tomorrow." I said as I lend my hand to help him stand up. He was clearly speechless. "Thanks.. " he softly whispered and smiled. "I'm Gray by the way."

"Claire."
