second chapter V&S POV

hi guys, the chapters will get longer. these few are just to kick start the story

Valkyrie was bored. She had been dragged into a car and forced to drive around Ireland for 6 hours before skulduggery told her that they would have to go over to England but not flying because apparently he couldn't live without his Bentley. So instead they were crossing the sea on a boat.

Skulduggery hadn't even told her who or what they were looking for and she had finished half a packet of leaves due to the multiple emerging headaches. She was now staring out of the boat window silently cursing him and his attachment issues..

"Have you been to the New Forests," Skulduggery was back, in one of his revoltingly chirpy moods.

"Skulduggery, if you are about to tell me some story about a fox you vanquished from a town of rabbits or something just as stupid, i will set fire to one of your hats."

"Well there was that very nice group of genetically mutated squirrels but that's not the point. A body has been dumped outside the forests, no sign as to how he died, definitely sorcery so either we have new assassins on the radar or... "

"Skulduggery Pleasant," Valkyries voice was low and menacing," tell me right now who or what the hell we are trying to find or i will not only set fire to your hat but i will cut it to shreds then set fire to it and i will then feed the ashes to Xena."

"Oh haven't I told you?"

"No"

"I could have sworn… are you sure i didn't say it and you just weren't intellectual enough to pick up on it?'

"SKULDUGGERY YOU TELL ME RIGHT NOW OR I WILL DRAG YOU OFF THIS BOAT FIND XENA AND LET HER HAVE YOU AS HER NEW CHEW TOY"

Skulduggery visibly shrank at every word, he disliked dogs enough by themselves but with an angry Valkyrie behind them his life would just about end. He started talking.

" We're searching for two girls, age 264 ,appearance 18, they are wanted all over the world for countless assassinations they're teleporters and look exactly alike apart from their hair colour and eyes. I was looking for them in the years you were gone and then Abyssinia came along and I was forced to leave."

"Why have you started now?"

"There have been reports of twin girls vanishing, rather like how we found Fletcher. But we've heard about twin girls running on walls and sending waves of blue energy at other sorcerers."

"So either we have the strangest coincidences ever or.."

"Or we have two extremely dangerous girls that have mastered three adept branches of magic."

"But that's impossible."

"Or not, these girls are experts in sigils and symbols. And if there is a language of sigils and symbols maybe they created their own word."

"Stop talking in riddles." Valkyrie was fast becoming irritated.

"What- if -they- created- a- new- sigil."

Valkyrie started to catch on, she didn't like what she was hearing one bit.

"You mean a sigil that lets them take three powers? But no sorcerer has ever had more than two, ever."

"Worse, I know what their motivation is."

"What"

"Their best friend was killed by the Diablerie 200 years ago."

Skulduggery paused, then resumed talking.

"China, they want to kill China Sorrows."
