Ch 2

three years later (academy)

'Ahh, finally the graduation exam. My favourite time of the year.' came the thoughts of a certain brown haired chunin. 'Everyone has grown so much from the loud boisterous class that I had two years ago' thinking back to the hardly ninja worthy students he had. Now most of this class would become genin no problem… well except for one person. As Iruka looked around at the students his eyes lingered on the student of thought.

Naruto Uzumaki. One student that iruka didn't know what to make of. He was a complete enigma. Never talking and showing only enough skill to barely pass. He also wore the most intimidating clothing. Consisting of a full black mask obscuring his face with black shoes track pants and shirt finished with a black trench coat. He was the last in the class yet when in combat always seemed to win. The only skills Iruka had seen from him were seals and senbon as that's all he showed.

Suddenly naruto looked straight at Iruka scaring him enough to look away

'Wonder what his problem is' naruto thought his emotions hidden behind his mask. Suddenly Iruka began to talk about how the will of fire burned bright in everyone. It was nonsense, just a bunch of random words.

To say that naruto was nervous for this test would be a lie. Naruto was completely ready being able to complete the henge, kawarimi and clone jutsu without hand seals. But that wasn't all he learned in the past two years, far from it in fact. The one type of combat method that naruto adored with his heart's content was puppetry. The act of controlling the fight from the shadows is what a true ninja should do.

Naruto had succeeded in creating chakra strings the first day he learned them which is the life blood of a puppeteer. So far he has made three puppets. Shi, Doku and Seikatsu

Shi is a red fox about 0.5 M tall that is used for recon ind info gathering as its fashioned after a real fox down to its joints. It has receptors in its eyes that connect to a computer screen inside of naruto's trench coat. It also has a small senbon launcher in its mouth which can shoot up to 100 poisoned senbon a minute.

The next puppet called doku is a human based puppet standing taller than naruto and holding kunai and senbon launchers in its arms as well as a storage of poison gas in its mouth doku looks like naruto in every way possible but instead of a black mask he has a white mask that on the front says doku.

His last puppet is a giant centipede around 10 M long called Seikatsu which acts as naruto's main protection in battle as it can quickly coil around him and with it hardened skin ward of many attacks. It also has storage in its back which can act as a cage for enemies. The last feature is a poison gas dispenser in its mouth which when in battle can dispense enough gas to fill a 50 M radius. These puppets were all stored on his person in seals along his arm

But puppetry while naruto's favourite means of attack still had its flaws. So naruto made up for that by learning genjutsu. Which helps cover his weak spots and fool his enemies.

"Naruto Uzumaki" yelled Iruka signifying that it was his turn for the exam. Naruto casually walked up to the exam room and stepped inside.

On the inside naruto was met with the faces of Mizuki and Iruka. "Naruto can you please do the kawarimi jutsu" asked iruka signaling to some logs. Naruto then seemingly teleported with the log and ended up on the other side of the room. "Great now can you do the henge jutsu please." asked Iruka which in response Naruto seemingly turned into a carbon copy of iruka. "great , now can you please do the clone jutsu" asked Iruka one last time in which naruto inwardly sighed and a clone popped into existence beside him "Great job naruto" said Iruka "please Pick a headband"

As Naruto walked out he felt proud sporting a black clothed leaf headband along his neck. As he reached his seat Iruka started talking.

"Well class.. It's great that nearly everyone passed, and I will be seeing everyone here tomorrow for team placements, have a nice day!" finished Iruka whose eyes lingered on Urushido. signalling for everyone to leave iruka left to go to the back room. Right as he finished Naruto got out of his seat and left the academy heading to one of the training grounds outside of the city to train.

As he got to the training ground he felt someone there. Not to be deceived Naruto sent a shadow clone over to investigate. When he got there the clone saw a man dressed in all grey holding a scroll. Upon closer inspection Naruto noticed that the scroll had the hokages personal seal on it signifying that it was either gifted or stolen. Deciding on the latter Naruto's clone dispelled and signaled the original naruto to come and interrupt.

As the original Naruto neared he noticed something. The person in question that was in the middle of the field was accompanied by another and were seemingly arguing. As Naruto neared he heard what the two people were bickering about.

"Iruka, don't Try to stop me." said The man in grey to the identified Iruka. "Don't do it Mizuki, you will be branded as a traitor." said Iruka to the now identified Mizuki. "What are you to stop me!" yelled Mizuki before pulling out a demon wind shuriken and throwing it at Iruka. But suddenly before Iruka could react Mizuki kawarmied behind him and with a kunai stabbed him in the head causing his body to go limp

As this happened Naruto unsealed Doku which jumped down from the trees to confront Mizuki. Mizuki turned towards the trees just in time to see multiple kinai coming his way courtesy of Doku. Mizuki dodged all of them and as he went to pull out a weapon of his own he was met with the sight of doku not even two feet away running at him. Mizuki pulled out a kunai just in time to parry the attack from doku. As Mizuki hit away the kunai he didn't account for the chittering sound behind him. As he turned around all he saw was a cloud of purple before breathing in. as he breathed in Mizuki realized what had happened and desperately tried to get out of the smoke but to no avail.

As Mizuki fell to the floor in pain all he saw were black boots walking towards him.

'First kill huh…' was all Naruto thought before sealing Mizuki and Irukas bodys away. As Naruto was about to head back he saw something glint in the corner of his eye and as he turned around he saw the scroll that Mizuki was holding.

'Wonder what that is?' Naruto thought before running towards it and opening it. 'Scroll of sealing? I wonder what's in here.' As Naruto searched inside the scroll he was amazed by the techniques in the scroll he sealed it away as well on his arm. Then deciding that this was enough for the day he headed back right after cleaning the area up so that it didn't even look like a fight happened.

When Naruto got back to his house he summoned 4 shadow clones to read the scroll inside and out so he could learn from it. That night all Naruto did was read. Just like any other night. But this book was different instead of reading his puppetry book he was reading another book. The contents were of his second favourite ninja art. Genjutsu

Naruto yawned as he woke up. Not that you could see it though as his mask covered his face. As he got ready for the day and made his coffee he thought about the contents of yesterday. As he did he absentmindedly dispelled the cloned reading the scroll of sealing. Nearly choking on his coffee he reviewed what information he had gathered. He had found that there had been a scroll in there that was labeled sasori. And when the clone opened the scroll up he read that it was one of sasori's journals and waited for the original Naruto to awake to open it.

Suddenly bolting to the scroll Naruto practically tore open the pages of the book trying to devout its contents. Suddenly looking athis clock he relaized it was nearly time for the academy. Quickly summoning a shadow clone read the rest of the book Naruto bolted off towards the academy.

As Naruto neared he saw many kids hugging their parents and telling them how they would become awesome ninja! 'Oh how wrong they are' thought naruto before entering the academy and sitting near the back.

Suddenly a new teacher walked into the room surprising most of its inhabitants. All except for Naruto who knew that there would be a new teacher. As everyone's shock settled down the teacher started reading of the team names which is when Naruto promptly zoned out.

"Naruto Uzumaki," said the teacher getting Naruto's attention "Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha. You will be team seven and your sensei is… Hatake Kakashi." concluded the teacher. As the sasuke fangirls settled down Naruto looked for his teammates. 'Haruno Sakura… one of the most devoted fangirls to sasuke and a medic type ninja. Uchiha Sasuke… the last loyal member of the uchiha clan and a ninjutsu type user.' though Naruto as he grabbed one of his books on sealing.

"Ughhhhh, when will this excuse of a sensei get here!?" yelled sakura. It had been three hours since the last team got picked up and kakashi still hadn't got there. Right as sakura was about to get up the door slid open revealing a lanky man wearing a mask that covered the bottom part of his face along with hair that was shaped like a pineapple.

"Meet me on the roof." was all he said before using a shunshin to seemingly teleport there. As he left they all got out of their shock and travelled to the top of the academy. As they arrived kakashi eyed them his eyes staying on sasuke a little longer. "Okay let's start" said kakashi "what are your likes, dislikes and dreams? You start pinky." kakashi finished while pointing at sakura. Sakura started to get flushed at the insult before talking.

"My name is Sakura, I like ummm I dislike Ino and my dream is ummm..." kakashi internally sweatdropped at this. Why was he stuck with the fangirl? "You next emo" said kakashi pointing at sasuke. " my likes are training, and fighting. My dislikes are a certain man and my dream is to one day avenge my clan." this time kakashi was mildly surprised by this as he hadn't expected sasuke to be this far on the path of revenge. "Okay now you darky" said kakashi while pointing at naruto. After Naruto didn't say anything for about a minute, Kakashi suddenly stood up and started talking. "Okay I want all of you to meet me at training ground 7 tomorrow at 6. Don't be late." As kakashi finished he shunshined away leaving sasuke and sakura shocked.
