Sandra sighed, glancing in the mirror. Her odd, copper-brown hair was neatly done in a ponytail; pale lavender eyes sharp and clear; and her wrinkle-free skin was no longer pale as a vampire's. She'd recovered after taking a few days off, and was ready to try and make it up. She triple-checked to make sure that she had everything required before walking out to her car.
Reid was barely walking in when a familiar red mustang peeled into the lot, windows and top down with music blaring out. He sighed in relief, waiting. This meant that Morgan would stop sneaking her files into his pile. She stopped the car, the song she was blaring to the world cutting off. Learning what she'd normally listen to had been startling, she was not one he'd suspect to be a metalhead, especially with her chill attitude. Considering she'd been sick and miserable, that was even more impressive. She smiled, walking up and surprising him with a considerably literal bear hug.
"Thanks for taking me home a couple of days ago."
"Er- okay?" He said in confusion, looking severely uncomfortable with the situation. She released him from her death grip, walking inside.
"So catch me up to date while I work on some paperwork?"
"Sure, although everyone pitched in to help with yours. Otherwise, the stack would have probably ended up at the ceiling. We had a case go bad."
"Ouch, that must've sucked." She winced.
"It did. How's Squeaker?"
"Shy as ever. Though he also did eat, which was good. BPs typically are very picky, rather painful to feed." She stepped into the elevator. He stood beside her short frame. "Also, if you DARE use me as an armrest I will prank you for a month."
He grinned, laying his arm on her head.
"Dare accepted. Your turn."
The grin she gave him in return was bone chilling, sleep-with-the-lights on, jump-at-every-little-noise, and heart-stopping level of terrifying.
So I had a little change in pace, decided to have a prank war ensue since we don't see much of that. I get the feeling that Reid is going to hate himself for taking advantage of short statures. A bit more will eventually sprout up about Sandra, but now you know her height at least. Approx will come up eventually. I actually do what Reid does to one of my friends, she's a short ginger who quietly judges everyone. She doesn't prank me for it though! Reviews much appreciated!
