"Dad, why don't you let me see your next door neighbors?"
"Because Ethan, they're very suspicious, I mean, they're CARTOON CHARACTERS for crying out loud!"
"Please dad, can I at least say "hello"?"
"...No..."
One snowy afternoon, A boy was walking home from school, he was very exhausted from his day, all the lessons and teachers really hit a nerve today. He really needed to just go home and lay down. he wanted to get away- wait, he's home already? that's odd, he usually has to walk a little bit further. anyways his room's upstairs, so he just needs to get upstairs without collapsing-
"Uh, what the heck are you doing here?"
The boy turned around, ...Oh my god It's a talking bat.
"U-uh, W-well, I was walking home from school a-and-..."
The bat gave a suspicious look.
"Ethan, was it?" The bat asked,
"U-um, y-yes...?" Ethan replied, "W-Wait...h-how in the world do you know my name?" he continued.
"...Remember that bat who slammed on your window and was stuck there for a half hour?" The bat questioned.
"Yeah..?" Ethan answered, still a bit scared that he was talking to a freaking bat with cartoonish eyes.
The bat gave a little smirk.
"That was me, the name's Gwen. Now, get out before they see you here!"
Ethan was confused, who was "they"? and why doesn't she want him to see whoever she was talking about? this is just as confusing as a plot twist in that visual novel his brother was playing, no, actually, it was slightly less confusing, but still pretty dang confusing-...wait, an anthropomorphic cartoon bat named Gwen, the smirk she gave me, and "they"...*gasp*
"You're that bat enemy from Bendy in Nightmare Run aren't you?!" Ethan exclaimed, realizing that there's a chance that the other cartoons are alive and in the real world! Including the ones he watches!
"U-uh...no...?" Gwen replied, frightened that this 8-year-old boy knows her identity, and probably won't leave now.
"Aw, c'mon! The resemblance is uncanny!" Ethan exclaimed, still excited.
Gwen was silent for a bit, specifically 1 minute, and then sighed and said, slightly under her breath, "Fine, you got me, just don't tell anyone you saw me and-...oh shoot."
Ethan was confused again, why did she cut her sentence short, and why does she look terrified? like someone was behind him? Ethan turned around, oh my lord, it the spider and weird creature with only arms enemy that he can't remember the names of for the life of him. ...Wait what!?
All of them looked at each other in silence, until Gwen blurted out,
"Now, before you make any assumptions...I didn't kidnap him, he came in thinking that this was his house, so please for the love of GOD,don't kill me, okay?"
silence again, but only for about 10 seconds, then, what I can only describe as all their common sense going into that one particular sentence, Ethan answered, despite the statement not being directed at him,
"Yeah, their gonna kill you anyway."
"Kid's right, you're gonna die by our hands whether you like it or not." The spider also said.
"And so, the fight begins, huh? Eh, I lived long enough already, I should be fine with death by now." Gwen said, under her breath.
And she was right, a couple of seconds later, the spider and that weid creature wit only arms pounced on her, causing a fight to commence, Ethan took this time to get the heck out of that house before anything else happened, once he had finally gotten home, his dad asked him where he was, Ethan could only reply with the, "I was invited to go to a park with some friends" excuse. But, Ethan's dad was having none of it and gave him a good scolding about how he shouldn't be out immediately after school and that he could end up getting kidnapped, long story short, Ethan decided to keep going there, but only a few minutes after school and as a secret.
sorry if this was weird, I'm pretty weird, so it's inevitable that the stories I make are weird.
