A/N: I hope everyone enjoyed chapter one! A special thank you goes to my friend KyzerAndTheVoices for giving me permission to write this and for giving me a special reaction! Now we are beginning the game. Get ready for a wild ride ladies and gentlemen!
Kyzer looked at the time. It had been an hour since the skele-bros had begun recording. After the Outlast 2 incident, Kyzer had been on edge with the brothers playing horror games. "Maybe I should check on them, just in case." He said as he set his controller down, with the DOOM Eternal heavy metal music playing in the background. He cautiously approached the recording room door and knocked on it.
"Guys? Is everything okay in here?" Kyzer asked as he peeked inside. Although he felt a pit of despair and dread fill his stomach when he noticed that the computer chair was now empty.
"Oh God… No no no no!" Kyzer gasped as he ran inside, checking the game that was still playing. He quickly sat down and put the headphones on, listening to both of the boys. He felt his heart launch into his throat. He could barely breathe. This happened again! He didn't know anything about the game and yet two of his closest creations were now trapped within this twisted video game.
"OH no...Not again!" He cried as he watched in horror as Blue and Stretch began their descent into the hospital.
~Meanwhile~
Blue and Stretch sat on the gurney, surveying the area. "God this is really creepy." Stretch mumbled, as he hopped off of the gurney with the sound of his bony feet making a clicking sound against the floor.
"You're telling me. It's so dark that I can't see a bloody thing!" exclaimed the smaller skeleton as he wriggled his way off of the gurney.
"Please don't use the word bloody while we're in a horror game." Stretch groaned. The boys looked around until they noticed a hallway. "Come on, let's head towards that hallway, but stay alert. You don't know what may be lurking around the corner." Stretch said as he and Blue began walking down the hallway. Blue noticed a flashing object, which he picked up. It was a notepad and key! On the notepad was written, "WHY DID YOU DO IT?" with a sad face drawn to the left of the words. This would have been interesting, if it hadn't creeped the brothers out.
"What did we do?" Blue asked, afraid of the answer that he might receive.
"I was about to ask the same thing…" Stretch gulped. "C-Come on, let's keep walking."
As they walked down the hallway, they noticed a door, which they proceeded to walk towards. Blue used the key to unlock it, which they then walked out of.
"THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! Everyone must evacuate the building immediately!" A voice screeched out, repeating itself multiple times.
"Ugh that is really annoying!" Blue said, covering his ear sockets.
"Yeah it is! I wish it would shut up!" Stretch yelled as he covered his ear sockets as well.
Stretch grabbed Blue's wrist. "Come on!" He said as he and Blue turned towards the right and walked down the hallway. Blue again noticed a flashing item and picked it up. This time it was a newspaper that read, "MAN BRUTALLY MURDERS WIFE."
"Wait… on that notepad it had "Why did you do it?" and this newspaper is talking about a man murdering his wife... Are these referring to our character?" Stretch asked.
"I-I'm not s-sure. I-I sure h-hope not…" Blue stuttered.
The boys then looked up and noticed a room to their right. It looked to be unlocked, so Stretch turned the doorknob and opened it. They walked inside and noticed on a nearby wall the number "081399" written in blood. Blue quickly wrote this number down and once he had written it, he and Stretch explored the room, but found nothing of interest. They walked back out into the hallway and noticed something quite alarming. They saw a blood trail heading towards the right. "Follow the blood, remember?" Blue said, looking up at his brother.
Stretch sighed. "Yes I remember. That was from Outlast. However, I suppose you are right. It seems to be telling us where to go." He said.
The boys then began following the trail, turning right, then going straight. Stretch and Blue continued to follow the trail until they saw a grotesque monster, pulling a bloodied woman by her hair and dragging a blade of some sort. They gasped and hid behind a corner, watching as the monster opened some doors and dragged the woman through, with the woman screaming out in agony. After the monster and woman were gone, the boys ran towards the "Emergency" doors that they had witnessed the woman and monster go through.
"Fuck! They're locked!" Stretch said as he pulled on the doors.
"Let's go left okay?" Blue said as he pried Stretch away from the doors. The two skeletons made a left turn and walked down the hallway. Blue noticed another flashing object on a cart and picked it up. "It's a flashlight!" He said in relief as he turned the flashlight on.
The brothers explored the area for a bit but again found nothing. They made a left and walked down the hallway until they came to a red door. There they saw a keypad, so Blue entered the code he found on the wall from earlier. The door became unlocked and the boys hurried inside. Once through the door, they noticed a severely bloody and dead man lying on the floor. Blue gasped as Stretch pushed him forward. "Ignore it Blue. It's just an NPC."
As they scooted past the dead body, Stretch noticed a nightstick. He picked it up and held it near him. "Finally, something to defend ourselves with!"
"Alright! Now we have a weapon!" Blue exclaimed.
"Here trade with me. I'll take the flashlight and you take the nightstick." Stretch said as he and Blue traded items.
The two skeletons continued to make their way through the asylum's hospital. They looked inside a room to their left and noticed a map. "It's for the 7th floor!" Blue exclaimed.
"Guess we're on the 7th floor of the hospital." Stretch said, observing the map.
They continued walking cautiously through the hospital, walking into a storage closet as Blue picked up two bottles of medicine. After they picked up the medicine, they walked back out and noticed a scrawny and bloodied humanoid with an exposed heart. Blue and Stretch screamed as Blue hit the humanoid's heart, causing the heart to explode with a splatter of disgusting green slime onto the boys. They gagged as they slung as much of the rancid slime off of them. "What was that thing?!"
"I'm not sure… I've heard some call them 'Freaks,' but I'm not sure." Stretch panted, his soul pounding in his chest.
"F-Freaks are a good name for them." Blue stuttered, holding onto Stretch's jumpsuit and holding the nightstick near as Stretch shined the flashlight out for them to see.
They began walking again and soon noticed all the mangled and broken pieces of the computer monitors. Stretch noticed a cage and got a little closer to it. He gasped. "It's a SHOTGUN!" He pulled on the cage, trying his best to pull it open. He groaned in frustration.
"Damn! It's locked." He grunted as he pulled on the cage again.
"Maybe we can find a key?" Blue asked, a sliver of hope in his voice.
Stretch nodded as they walked back out into the hallway and continued to follow the blood trail. As they turned right, the boys heard a noise that caused them to stop dead in their tracks. "That doesn't sound friendly…" Blue said as they continued walking again. Another Freak came lumbering out, moaning as it tried to hit the boys. Blue hit the Freak's exposed heart multiple times, again causing the heart to explode into the disgusting green slime again.
"That's really gross…" Blue mumbled, wiping his mouth as best as he could to get the slime off.
"It is, just try not to get that gunk in your mouth." Stretch said as he shined the flashlight around.
"Trust me I don't want that yuck in my mouth!"
The boys cleaned themselves as best as they could and soon they continued walking. They took a left and walked into the men's restroom. The smell of fresh blood and urine permeated the air in the restroom as the boys peeked into each stall, afraid of what they might find. Many of the stalls were splattered with blood, but there was nothing in them. They then looked at the mirror and saw a message written on the mirror, but it was illegible.
After exploring the bathroom, they walked back out into the hallway and turned right. They walked up to the Patient Ward doors and opened them. As they made their way through the room, they noticed many bloodied and mangled bodies scattered on the floor. Both of the boys stood in the middle of the room and began listening. They could hear breathing. One of the bodies got up and began to attack the boys. Blue began hitting the Freak's heart, causing it to explode. After the Freak was dead, Blue walked around and hit the other bodies, just to ensure his and Stretch's safety. Once the boys finished, they walked down to the double set of doors that were splattered with blood. They walked into the next room, where they picked up some medicine behind the counter, and continued on their voyage.
As they went through another blood splattered door, both of the boys grimaced when they noticed a swarm of cockroaches.
"Gah! Roaches!" Stretch groaned.
"Ugh! Come on! That's disgusting! Who puts roaches in a hospital?!" Blue whined.
"I'm not sure… Maybe it wasn't cleaned regularly here. Either way, it's gross." Stretch grimaced.
As they stood there, watching in disgust at the roaches scritter up the wall and across the floor, the roaches crawled over to the brothers and began to crawl up their clothes, attacking them.
"Ew! Get off of me!" Blue gasped, knocked them off as some of the roaches bit him. "Ouch!"
"Gah! Get off you nasty little fuckers!" Stretch said, getting bit as well as he knocked them off. "Let's book it!" He said as he grabbed Blue's wrist and ran with him. After they escaped the disgusting vermin, Stretch and Blue took some of the medicine, then continued walking, taking a left. They walked down the hallway, noticing that the path was blocked, so they walked through the doors with the words "STAIRS" written on the windows.
"Can't go down, it's blocked off, so let's head up." Blue said as he and Stretch ran up the stairs. At the very top of the stairs, they noticed a sign with the words "ROOF ACCESS" written on it. They opened the door and felt the cool air of the outside world. They walked through the door and stepped outside, onto the flat rooftop.
