Qi Qi stifled a yawn and pulled away the covers as she awaken to the brightness of a new morning. It has been a while since she could finally sleep past 5 am without hoarding the feeling of longing and disappointment. Who would have thought that her life has became so dependent on Bo Hai's presence. Rubbing her eyes open, she realised that her "Good Dreams" bracelet was still sitting on her bedside table. Smiling at her unusual defiance, she could not help but think of how her break from not wearing it to sleep last night would affect Bo Hai. "Don't you think you deserve this? Leaving me for one long year," uttered Qi Qi as she once again recalled the dreams she had the night before. Unexpectedly, it was again that proposal by Bo Hai in the field which stood out among a number of other scenes that she could vaguely remember. Was her dream life getting more out of control? Perhaps, she needed much more rest and relief from this past year's ordeal, all thanks to Bo Hai...

"Hmmm...shall I get back to work now that he is back?" Qi Qi wondered how her current CEO position in the company which she has taken up on behalf of Bo Hai while he was away would be affected or changed. She quickly grabbed her cellphone and turned it on. Rather unexpectedly, what she received was a "over" full inbox with hundreds of text messages from none other than Bo Hai.

"What the...Just what are you trying to do to my phone?!" Qi Qi fumed and scrolled impatiently through those messages which she may never get a chance to reply to.

"Qi Qi,

I know you may be still angry with me...Like the daisies in the field which hide their love within their hearts, I have been saving these messages every day all the while I was in France for the past year...Like you, I know very well that I should make known my love to you, even though these messages are long overdue...I know too that I should work hard to assure and win you back, and I will not stop myself from doing so...Always, Bo Hai..."

Setting down her phone, a tear trickled down her cheek and Qi Qi simply wiped it away fast. Indecision hovering over her mind and heart, Qi Qi disregarded the messages and climbed out of bed. Heading out of her room, she saw that dad and mom were already busy having their "sumptuous" breakfast at the table.

Walking over to them, she found her low appetite being revived by the sight of deliciously tempting plentiful dishes after dishes of dim sum. "Wow, Mom and Dad, just where did you get all these so soon at 9 o'clock in the morning?" She quickly sat down and begun to hastily help herself to the tasty crispy doughnuts...

Qi Qi's dad quickly clarified, "Even your mom and dad can't believe upon seeing Bo Hai after so long! He just showed up 2 hours ago with all this feast and waited for 2 hours before he decided to leave. Your favourite wonton noodle soup is definitely not missed. We really wanted to wake you up but he insisted to let you sleep on and awake naturally...I can't believe how we miss him so much all this while...He's simply the best fit for our new family member!"

Upon hearing her dad's last sentence, Qi Qi got choked and coughed hard. Mom hurried to grab a glass of water for her daughter, "Oh dear, why didn't you let us know earlier that Bo Hai has come back...Even if it's been a while, we are still concerned about his health, you know..."

Upon having her throat cleared, Qi Qi heaved an exasperated sigh, "Just don't say, I still have a lot of doubts and missing pieces...Oh, my mind is like so clogged..."

Qi Qi's mom quickly inquired with concern, "Is there anything wrong between you two, Qi Qi? It couldn't be, Bo Hai is still as caring as he was about you, dear..."

Qi Qi simply let out a weary sigh again, "Anyway, I need to get back to my routine work first..." She got up, not regarding her favourite wonton soup and went straight to the bathroom, earning worried stares by her mom and dad.
