OW.
Foxy groaned. He was lying on something soft, but somehow it still hurt. He remained still on the ground. A odd feeling was surging through his body. The only way he could describe it was strange. It was then that he noticed something terrifying.
It was completely silent. No clicking of servos, no clanking of metallic limbs, not even the whirring of a power source. It chilled to the… Foxy didn't even know what to think anymore. He looked down. He was lying on what looked like a green spiky carpet that itched at him. He scrambled up, trying to get away from the carpet. He felt overwhelmingly odd. The move he made to get up from the ground made him bend his back. His endoskeleton's spine should've snapped. It was then that he looked at himself.
He no longer had cuts or slashes in his pelt; it was almost as if he was just like new. His red fur was soft and plush instead of ragged or itchy, and his hand...Foxy couldn't even call it a hand. He no longer had thumbs. There was no exposed metal whatsoever; it was so unfamiliar it was almost scary. At least he still had a hook.
Foxy tried to stand up, but for some concerning reason, he could not stand on his two legs. Unstable, he fell forward onto his four limbs, and a feeling came over the fox. Standing like this felt...right. His hook dug into the carpet, where the texture was soft and wet. Confused with this new substance, Foxy tore his hook out of it and shook it, chunks of dirt flying everywhere.
"Hey! What are you flinging?!" Foxy whirled around. He'd recognize that guitarist's voice anywhere.
"Bonnie?"
"Foxy? I'm over here!"
"Why can't ya come over here?"
"I'm… stuck."
Foxy's expression became concerned. He followed the direction of Bonnie's voice, stumbling awkwardly on his hook. He found what looked like a large patch of strange looking salad growing out of the ground in a oval-like shape. Bonnie was indeed stuck, his long hind foot wedged inside the odd contraption.
Bonnie was changed as well. For one thing, he was tiny in comparison to Foxy. His ears were a lot longer, and, like Foxy, his legs were different, his back set of limbs much longer than his front limbs. However, he was still instantly recognizable with his plush purple and indigo counterparts and the fiery red bow tie tucked into the fur at the base of his neck.
Bonnie also seemed surprised at Foxy's change. "Foxy! You're enormous!"
"Well, that's just rude! I've always been the scrawniest bot outta the crew!"
"Foxy, I didn't mean-"
"I know whatcha mean. That thing grabbin' ya tryin' ta eat ya?"
"No." Bonnie smiled, and long, flat teeth shone in his indigo muzzle. "I just woke up in this thing. It smells delicious, actually."
Foxy gave a wry look. "I dunno watcha smellin', but it ain't tasty." To the fox, it smelled wet and soft. It didn't smell bad, but it wasn't exactly sweet, either. "How 'bout I'll just free ya." He shuffled his hook toward Bonnie's foot, flinching at the wetness. He had expecting to get shocked in the presence of water. Unless… he wasn't a robot anymore.
His heart beginning to thump in a panic, Foxy hastily yanked on Bonnie's foot, freeing it but yanking it slightly in process. He had to find Freddy; the brown bear knew this was going to happen. He knew about Golden Freddy's spell. But Foxy didn't want to find him to get mad at him. He wanted to figure out if there was a cure.
"Ow ow ow ow ow! Easy, pirate!" Bonnie winced, sitting on the ground and rolling his ankle to check if it was broken.
"We need to find Freddy!" Foxy nudged Bonnie with his muzzle to get him going. But the rabbit didn't move. "What's wrong? D'ya break somethin'?"
Bonnie shook his head. He looked embarrassed. "I don't know how to walk right." Foxy instantly knew what he meant.
For presentation, Foxy walked around the small clearing on his four legs, twisting his hook occasionally so it wouldn't get stuck in the ground. "See? This be what walkin' feels like ta me." Bonnie looked down at his unproportional legs. He stepped forward with a tiny paw, and gradually began to walk. It looked awkward, and Bonnie shifted his position. To Foxy's great surprise, the rabbit bounced up and down. He landed with a big grin on his face.
Foxy did have to admit that that looked better. Why? He couldn't tell. With the fox and the rabbit walking together, they set out in search of Freddy. It didn't take long to find the big brown bear. Foxy was nothing compared to Freddy, who was so big Bonnie was merely the size of his paw. Like everyone else, he had an attribute from his animatronic self. A comically tiny black top hat perched on his wide was concern in his blue eyes.
"Wha's wrong?" Foxy asked when they came up to him.
"Chica… or who I think is Chica… is stuck in a hole." Freddy motioned with a huge paw toward a small rabbit hole. A cluck sounded inside the hole. Foxy and Bonnie peeked in, squinting to see through the dark tunnel. There was a bright yellow chicken inside, with her signature "Let's Eat!" bib still on. She seemed wedged into the hole.
"How did you get in there?!" Bonnie said with obvious confusion.
"I don't even know," she chirped. "I woke up like this. Hey, Foxy."
"Eh?"
"Can you use that hook to dig me out?"
Foxy looked at his hook. He didn't exactly enjoy the wet earth, and he shuddered. He glanced over at Bonnie.
"Great Scott," Bonnie muttered. "Hold on, Chica, I'll get you out."
Foxy made a strangled noise in hs throat. "I never said I wouldn't do it! I looked to ya fer encouragement!"
Bonnie strugged his violet shoulders and set to work. His small paws dug away at the dirt and roots. He widened the hole until it was big enough to squeeze out of. Chica popped out with a small flutter of her wings. "Thanks, Bonnie!" She smiled. Bonnie blushed, a bright red color that almost matched Foxy flooding over the rabbit's cheeks.
"Wonderful! The band is reunited!" Freddy said happily. They all turned to look at him. Foxy frowned.
"Be there notta slight problem, Freddy?! We be changed into...wild...things! Sure, we be reunited, but that don't help with the curse Golden Freddy set upon us!" He hadn't meant to get mad, it had come naturally. "By the way, ya knew Golden Freddy was gonna do this, huh?"
"Actually...no." The others gasped. They wanted to believe Freddy was joking, but the serious look in his eyes said otherwise. "I mean, I knew he was going to cast a spell, but not one like this."
"Then howd'ya know to stay awake?"
"That's how it is with every spell. Naturally, I didn't expect to be transfigured and flung into the middle of nowhere." The bear glared at Foxy. "So don't get mad at me over something I can't control." There was a brief silence.
"...What do we do now?" Bonnie asked.
"It's obvious," Freddy exclaimed. Foxy snorted. Of course the bear had a plan already. "We find the restaurant and talk Golden Freddy into changing us back, and then we can forget all this ever happened."
"Like I'm ever going to forget this," Bonnie mumbled, staring down at his paws.
Foxy's eyes narrowed. "So lemme get this straight; We're somehow gonna find the restaurant afta being put in a random place with absolutely no idea of where we should be goin', and even if we do find the place, it might take a lil' more than talking ta change us back afta what we said 'bout Golden Freddy."
Freddy made a low, growling noise in his throat; a bear sound that made Foxy shiver. "Well, I'm sorry if not everything is right in the world, Foxy. Life isn't perfect."
"It was before we got here."
Freddy raised an eyebrow. "Remember the Bite of '87? Would you call that perfect?" The fox slunk down in defeat. The Bite was far from perfect.
"You know, guys, instead of just standing here talking about the problems of life, shouldn't we, I don't know, find the restaurant?" Chica said.
"Good idea," Foxy replied quickly, smiling. He whirled around to glare at Freddy. "Ey, Freddy. Since ya already have a plan, and act like ya know everything, how 'bout you show us where the restaurant be?"
Freddy was taken back. "Ummm…" The bear swiveled his head to the left, then the right, almost making his top hat fall off. He pointed in a random direction. "It's that way." Foxy gave a loud sigh.
Bonnie and Chica seemed to make no objection. They headed in the direction Freddy had pointed at. Still slightly confused, Freddy quickly followed. Foxy, disgruntled and ticked that they actually had no idea where they were going, trotted on after.
