Chapter 2

Neddie and Kyle arrived at the theater to see Freddie chained to the doors holding a sign that read 'Save the Theater'. A crowd of people filmed it on their phones from across the street.

"Save the old theater!" Freddie chanted. "Down with coffee houses! Up with movies!"

"Dad?" Neddie asked. "Where did you get the sign?"

"Your grandfather brought it to me," Freddie replied. "Stop the coffee house! Save the theater!"

"Mr. Haskell," Kyle said. "Why are you doing this?"

"This theater has a special place in my heart," Freddie said. "I remember committing my first scam with my old man here; selling Raisinets overpriced in the auditorium."

"Mr. Haskell," Kyle said. "The theater has been closed for three years. If we restored the theater, people would just keep on going to the big Imax theater. We'd have to close this place down again."

Kyle looked at the crowd.

"Wouldn't you rather have a coffee house?" Kyle asked the crowd.

"Of course we would," a man replied. "We're just filming this weirdo to show people how stupid he is."

"Good job, Dad!' Neddie shouted. "Not only are you ruining my chance to sell over-priced coffee products, but now I'm the son of the town weirdo!"

Neddie ran off.

"Wait, Neddie!" Freddie shouted. "I was the son of the town weirdo and I turned out fine!"

"Mr. Haskell," Kyle said. "I'm going to call the police if you don't unchain yourself this instant."

"I'm not scared of the police!" Freddie shouted. "Save the old theater!"
