"Hey handsome, something on your mind?" she smiled at him pulling him from his memories.

"Nothing" he smiled back still rubbing circles on her belly. "Just remembering they night you told me about this little angel" he said as he rubbed her belly. Hailey couldn't help but smile as Jay leaned in to kiss her. After a few minutes Jay began to move to get out of bed. Hailey groaned at the loss of his touch.

"Sorry love but I don't think Hank would be happy if I was late even if it is my birthday" he flashed her is most apologetic smile as he disappeared into their bathroom. Lying in bed Hailey felt the baby moving she was very uncomfortable but today was her husband's birthday and she wanted to carry out her special birthday plans. After a few minutes Jay came back into the room fresh from his shower he began to dress work. He was walking to the closet and noticed Hailey was rubbing her belly and looked more uncomfortable than before he had gotten up. Concerned he crossed the room and sat next her.

"Hailey are you feeling ok?" he asked sitting next to her on the bed.

"Yea I am ok. She's just moving a lot today."

"Ok. Take it easy today and rest" he said as he placed a quick kiss on her lips still worried, she wasn't fully telling him everything.

When Jay left for work Hailey got up and got ready to get the final things, she needed to finish her plans for tonight. She dressed and made her way out to her Jeep. After gathering everything she needed at the market she arrived home and was putting away the groceries. She was putting something away in the pantry when a sharp, tight pain radiated from her back and across her belly. She dropped the box in her hand and tried to breathe through the pain. When it passed, she picked up the box and placed it back on the shelf. She didn't think much of it and went on with her task. Once she was done, she was exhausted and hungry. She gathered some ingredients and made herself a salad. She was about to pick everything up and make her way to the living room to relax when she felt another sharp pain. Gripping the counter, she tried to breathe through it. When the pain subsided, she picked up her salad and water and made her way to her spot on the couch. She settled down and tried to relax.

Jay was doing some research for the case when his eye caught the picture on the corner of his desk. It was his favorite the one of him and Hailey on their wedding day. She looked so beautiful. Smiling he picked up his phone and sent her a text. Hey beautiful. I hope you are taking it easy and I love you so much. I can't wait to spend the evening with my girls. He set his phone down when Kim said she had a lead.

Hailey woke a while later seeing the text she smiled and sent him a message back Hi handsome, I am taking it very easy today. We can't wait to celebrate your birthday. Love you. Just before getting up Hailey felt the familiar pain she had experienced earlier start again. Although it was the 3rd time, she had gotten the pain she still didn't think it was anything serious. Once the pain had subsided, she made her way to the kitchen, turned on some music and started Jay's birthday cake. Once the cake was in the oven, she started on the frosting. After everything was finished and the cake was decorated, she started on dinner.

When Jay came home a while later, he spotted his wife standing at the stove singing along to the music as she cooked. She was wearing leggings, a dark blue top that hugged the curve of stomach and her hair in ponytail. He loved watching her he could do it all day. Having heard the door close Hailey knew it was only a matter of time before his strong, tender loving arms wrapped around her. She smiled as she heard him cross the kitchen to where she stood, and he did just that. Placing the spoon down she leaned into his embrace relishing in the feeling of his loving embrace.

"Hey, beautiful" he whispered as he tenderly kissed her neck.

"Hey, birthday boy. How was your day?" she sighed as his hand moved to knead the knots in her lower back.

"It was alright this case is a tough one" he sighed resting his head on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry baby let's try to enjoy the rest of your day" she said tilting her head up to capture his lips in a tender kiss. "I am making your favorite. Why don't you go take a shower and by the time you come back down it will be ready?" she smiled up at him.

He smiled and kissed her back "Sounds good".

While Jay padded off to shower Hailey worked to finish her cooking. A while later Jay came back downstairs making his way to the dining room, he noticed the lights were low and music playing softly in the background. He was about to walk to kitchen when Hailey appeared with 2 plates. "Babe did you do all of this for me?" he asked tears forming in his eyes.

Setting the plates on the table she moved closer to him. "Of course. I love you so much and I wanted to something special for you. You always make me feel so loved and happy and I wanted to make sure you felt just as loved and happy."

Jay cupped Hailey's face in his hands and kissed her passionately. "Thank you. I love you so much Hailey" he whispered in her ear as he held her close or as close as he could. He felt a jab under his hand and looked to Hailey and she couldn't help but laugh. "I guess some one wanted to say Hello" she smiled. Leaning down he placed a quick kiss to the spot where their little girl had just kicked. Hailey couldn't help but smile at the site. Not wanting to break the moment but she was hungry "Come let's enjoy our meal. Your baby his hungry" she laughed. He stood and kissed her again "Ok what the baby wants the baby gets". They sat and enjoyed their meal. Throughout the meal Hailey was feeling more and more uncomfortable but pushed it aside to enjoy the time with her husband. Her discomfort did not go un-noticed by Jay who was eyeing her closely. When they had finished, she stood to clear the table. While in the kitchen she placed the dishes in the dishwasher and prepared the cake. Once everything was ready, she picked up the cake and walked back to the dining room singing Happy Birthday. She placed the cake down in front of Jay who was smiling. Just as he finished blowing out the candles, he noticed her face change as she gripped her belly.

"Hailey?! What's wrong?" he jumped up from his chair and looked at her.

She stood there frozen not sure if this was really happening but somehow, she managed to find her voice. "I think my water broke" she looked down to her feet and back to Jay who had followed her eyes. Both met each other's gaze they smiled tears in their eyes.

Hailey just stood looking at her husband with tears running down her face "Our baby is coming". Jay leaned in to kiss her "Yes she is" he smiled.

Suddenly Hailey grabbed for Jay's hand as she doubled over with a contraction. He placed his other hand on her back and spoke softly "Breathe baby". After 30 seconds she stood back upright trying to catch her breath.

"Ok it's going to be alright. Let's change your clothes and we will head to Med". After helping Hailey upstairs to change her clothes and he threw on some jeans himself he helped her out her Jeep figuring it would be easier for her to get in and out. The drive to Med was on 15 minutes and he felt surprisingly calm but could see Hailey was trying to hold it together breathing with each contraction that wracked her body. He reached across and clasped her left hand and brought it to his lips. "It's going to be ok Hailey" he smiled lovingly at her.

"I know I am just nervous and excited all at the same time" she breathed as another contraction started.
