As promised, Elias got some sleep for a few hours. As he stretched and ruffled his hair, he remembered today was THE day. He quickly got himself ready and walked out to the hallway.

"Morning," Adeline yawned as she came out to the hallway and rubbed the sleep out of her eye.

"Good morning," Elias greeted her and walked down to the kitchen.

"Did you get any sleep?" Adeline asked him.

"Yes I did," Elias said as he opened the door for her and saw the cooks were already up and getting things ready for the day.

"Good morning, your majesty! Good morning, Adeline," Olina, the chef greeted them as she stirred in some oatmeal, "Would you like something hot to eat and drink?"

"None for me right now, thank you," Elias said.

"Elias come on, you still have things to do. At least have some toast and some tea," Adeline said to him.

"Ok just a little," Elias agreed as he sat down at a table with her, "Is Kristen up yet?"

"Yes, she was in here earlier looking for carrots for Sven your majesty," Olina said as she put down the tea service and some toast with butter and jam for them to share. Then she poured them both some tea.

"Oh good! I was hoping she was up," Elias sighed in relief and sipped some of it. "Mmm. You were right."

"I usually am," Adeline smirked and started eating a bit of the toast.

After they had their mild breakfast, Elias got a bowl of oatmeal and some tea for Kristen to have for her breakfast. He made his way to the stables, the stars overhead started to fade. The big reindeer liked to make himself home there and even have his own stall. The smell of the hay tickled his nose as he walked to Sven stall and knocked on the door.

"Kristin, are you in there? I brought you some breakfast," Elias asked her and then heard some rustling.

"Elias? Uh, just a second," Kristen exclaimed.

"Hey, are you ok in there?" Elias asked in concern.

Then Sven came barreling out of there bellowing. Elias jumped back to avoid getting hit by the door or having Kristen's breakfast all over him. Sven was dripping wet with soap suds on him. He groaned and then shook himself.

"Sven, stop!" Kristin exclaimed but it was too late. Water went everywhere and Kristen groaned, "Oh uh sorry."

Elias peeked out from hiding behind the door and gasped at the sight in front of him. Kristen was standing before him with her hair slightly wet but done up in a ponytail and she was wearing...a dress! A sky blue top with short sleeves and brown bustle with a red sash. And her skirt was dark brown with teal motif along the edge. And she was wearing brown flats instead of her normal boots.

Did she actually-

"Yup! I took a bath! And Sven did too as you can see," Kristin proudly said to him and then looked at him quizzed, "Uh what's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that? Is it the dress? I just thought since it was Aaron's birthday-"

"Shh! That's supposed to be a surprise," Elias shushed her and then chuckled, "I'm sorry for staring but. You clean up well and...you look beautiful."

"Oh thank you," Kristin put a strand of hair behind her ear and looked at the bowl in his hand, "Is that for me?"

"Oh yes! I thought you might want some breakfast before we got everything ready," Elias said as he gave her the bowl and mug of tea.

With that the two of them headed back to the courtyard. It still needed to be decorated and ready before Aaron woke up. As he walked through the doorway, he smiled at the sight of the preparations coming along with Kai and Gerda's help. Kristen walked over with Sven and started to work on the banner.

"Note to self, freeze the fountains so they look great in the courtyard, " Elias said to himself as he looked around.

Gerda and Kai had set up colorful balloons, flowers on the tables and lots of streamers. And the flowers were all of Aaron's favorites, sunflowers. As Elias looked up at the sky, he saw the sun was just starting to rise and shine on the rooftops.

"Whew a bit warmer today," Elias said as he wiped his brow, "But the fountains will help cool things off here. Wait a moment, something's missing. THE CAKE! Where is the cake?!"

"Elias relax! It's coming just now," Adeline quickly held his hand and pointed to the baker coming with the cake on a cart, "See? It's here."

"Ohh good," Elias said as he put his hand on his chest to calm down.

"Just as you ordered your highness," The baker said as he presented a four layer cake with light blue icing, white swirl designed and edible sunflowers on the sides.

"This is wonderful," Elias said as he looked it over.

"I am glad you're pleased, sire and I know the prince will love it as well," The baker said and bowed his head.

"Be sure to come back when the party starts," Adeline called out to him as he left.

Elias used his powers to make a small statue of Aaron on the top. "So lonely. Nah," He shook his head and this time made one of the two of them. But they were in their formal attire standing next to each other.

"Stiff," Elias cringed.

"You two were a little awkward during your coronation," Adeline nodded as she looked at the statues.

"Hmm I'll do a different one, " Elias said and then made an action one but this was Elias holding Aaron in his arms while Aaron blocked something.

"Oh no no no no, not that!" Adeline quickly said and shook her head.

"Yeah no," Elias exclaimed and tried again. This time it was the two of them smiling and ice skating together.

"That looks good, " Adeline smiled and put her hand on his back.

"I guess but I don't know," Elias shrugged.

"Relax, it looks great," Kristen said to him as she finished working on something.

"I just want it to be perfect, " Elias said as he looked the cake over more.

"Speaking of perfect, check this out," Kristen cheerfully said as she got down off a ladder.

Above her head read a sign painted in different colored letters HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON. In fact some of the paint was still wet and dripping in places. A drop of it fell on Sven's muzzle and a bit on Kristen's cheek. Elias looked at the banner with uncertainty, but politely smiled.

"Kristen, are you sure I can leave you in charge here?" Elias asked as he brushed off some of the paint on her cheek.

"Absolutely," Kristen said in confidence.

"Because I don't want anything to happen to this courtyard," Elias said and adjusted some of the silverware.

"What could happen?" Kristen shrugged.

Elias sniffled a bit and wiped his nose with the back of his hand.

"It's all set," Kristen proudly said as she looked around.

"I wish you wouldn't stress so much about this," Adeline said to him as she finished folding the last of the napkins, "You're gonna make yourself sick if you keep this-"

"Olaf, what are you doing?" Elias exclaimed and held out his hands.

"I'm not eating cake," Olaf muffled as his face was now covered in blue icing with chocolate crumbs and he held his hands in front of him like a child.

"Olaf..." Elias shook his head and came over to him.

"But it's an ice cream cake," Olaf exclaimed hopefully.

"And it's for Aaron," Elias said to him like you would a naughty child caught doing something they shouldn't.

"And it's for Aaron," Olaf repeated contrite and then spit out the icing to stick it back in place.

"You know, I just noticed something. Are you nervous?" Adeline asked him in concern and then felt his forehead, "You look paler than usual."

"I'm fine, I promise," Elias assured her and then looked at the clock, "Ok it's time!"

"It's time," Olaf excitedly said and then looked confused, "For what?"

Adeline changed her dress with her fire powers. Now it was a dark blue dress with blue flames along the bottom.

"Wow Adeline, you look beautiful," Elias complimented her and then turned to Kristen, "Okay, you sure you got this?"

"I'm sure," Kristen nodded.

"Don't let anyone in before we're ready," Elias said and then used his powers to freeze the fountains.

"I won't," Kristen tried to assure him.

"And don't touch anything," Elias anxiously said as he popped back in.

"I'm just gonna stand here," Kristen said as she put her arms out.

"I'm probably gonna walk around a little," Olaf said as he looked around the courtyard.

"And keep an eye on that cake," Elias called out from the hall.

"Ooh," Olaf exclaimed as he sat down to look at the banner.

"He thinks you're an idiot," Kristen pretended to be Sven for a moment and then changed her voice back. "Well, clearly he's wrong. Ooh! Ooh! Whoops. Whoa, " She cried out as she bumped the table with the cake on it.

Olaf chuckled at her as Adeline gasped and held out her hands to stop the cake. When it didn't fall she sighed in relief and then looked at Kristen.

"What? It's fine," Kristen said as she had fixed the statue back.

"I can't read," Olaf said to them as he looked at the banner, "Or spell."

"I'm sure Elias or Aaron could teach you one of these days, Olaf," Adeline said as she looked at the castle and thought about how Elias looked earlier. "I don't want to spoil his moment with his brother, but I think I'll keep an eye on Elias. Just in case."

Meanwhile in Aaron's room, Aaron was sound asleep and snoring. His hair was all mushed up and a big drop of drool came out of the side of his open mouth onto the pillow. He had one arm up and the other down by his chest.

"Psst. Aaron," Elias whispered to him as he popped up by his bed.

"Yeah?" Aaron sleepily asked as he smacked lips.

"Happy birthday," Elias smiled at him and got closer to him.

" ...to you. " Aaron smiled and sang.

"It's your birthday," Elias said and rubbed his back to wake him up more.

" ...to me. " Aaron corrected himself as he started waking up, "It's my birthday."

"Come on," Elias laughed and yanked the blankets off him.

"It's my birthday?" Aaron gasped as he woke up completely and sat up.

"Mmm-hmm. And it's going to be perfect," Elias told him as he stood back for Aaron to get out of bed.

Elias led him to his closet and brought out a brand new suit for the occasion. Aaron chuckled in delight at the sight of it when Elias unzipped the cover. The suit was a white shirt with a lime green vest, sky blue pants with bright yellow sunflowers on the bottom and a dark blue belt around the waist.

"Oh wow Elias, you had this made for me?! It's perfect for the summer solstice. Hey did you know that it's the summer solstice right now, I mean today," Aaron said as he went behind the changing screen and started to undress.

"And it's your birthday too," Elias nodded to him as he waited.

"I know but this suit, It's just perfect. And you remembered I love sunflowers," Aaron exclaimed as he looked it over before putting it on.

You've never had a real birthday before. Except of course the ones you spent outside my locked door.

So I'm here way too late to help you celebrate. And be your birthday date if I may. , Elias sneezed and then two mini snowmen appeared. They smiled at each other and ran off.

Elias, I'm thinkin' ya might have a cold. , Aaron sang to him as he came out and started brushing his hair.

"I don't get colds," Elias shook his head, "Besides... A cold never bothered me anyway.

With a flourish of his hands, he used his powers to give his own suit a twist with some help from some flowers. His suit was now a forest green color with some magenta flowers decorating it and a big one in his lapel. He looked at his brother's suit and gave him a bit more flair with his powers and put a sunflower in his lapel as well.

"Ohh, fancy," Aaron said as he looked himself over and then in the mirror a moment.

"Just follow the string," Elias smiled as he held up the end of the red string.

"Wait what?" Aaron asked him in surprise as he saw the same string he had looked for two weeks ago.

I've got big plans I've got surprises for today. , Elias sang as he followed Aaron down the hallway.

Aaron crawled under the table following the string up to a suit of armor. He gasped at the sight of a beautiful watch.

Nothin' but nothin's gonna get in our way," Elias put the watch on his wrist and led him further down the way, I've worked for weeks, planned everything within my power. I even got Kristen and Sven to take a shower. If someone wants to hold me back. I'd like to see them try.

Aaron followed it to the wardrobe at the end and opened it. Inside was a beautifully crafted clock. As it struck the hours, a little figure of Olaf popped out saying "Summer!". He chuckled at how clever and cute the gift was.

I'm on the birthday plan attack. I'm givin' you the sun the moon, and the sky. , Elias lead him outside to some sunflowers in a decorative pot. He gasped in delight at them and then he saw something.

"Oops! Little bee," Aaron warned Elias.

"Oh no. If that bee stings him, it could ruin his birthday," Elias saw as he saw it getting closer and then moved to shoo it away, "Achoo!"

As he sneezed, the bee left and five more mini snow men appeared in mid air and dropped to the ground.

"Huh, well that scared him I guess," Elias thought to himself and then took Aaron's hand so they could move onto his next present.

Neither one of the brothers noticed that the mini snowmen joined the others in the courtyard.

Meanwhile down in the courtyard, Kristen and Sven were napping with Olaf until they saw the little snowmen going by. Kristen tried to stop them from getting to the punch and then dumped the whole bowl of it on herself and Sven. Olaf was having a blast with the two of them.

"Little brothers," Olaf squealed and hugged them to him. And then gasped in delight as five more came back to him.

The little snowmen he had in his arms didn't look pleased about the hug and were delighted when Olaf dropped them to pursue the other ones. Kristen was trying to keep them under control.

I'm making today a perfect day for you. I'm making today a blast if it's the last thing I do. Elias sang to Aaron as they made their way outside the castle now.

Aaron and Elias were on a window washer's wooden platform and Elias was lowering them down. Adeline meanwhile was outside and smiled as she pulled on the string to bring up a picnic basket. Aaron examined it closer and gasped in delight.

"Ooh sandwiches," Aaron exclaimed and pulled it close to them, "These are perfect for lunch!"

Adeline chuckled at this excitement and winked at Elias. Then she smiled at Gerda as she came in to straighten up Aaron's room.

Aaron spotted them both and waved to them. Gerda looked up and saw Aaron outside with Elias. Then she screamed right in Adeline's ear and ran out of the room.

"Kai! The prince and the king are outside by the window!" Gerda hollered down the hall.

Outside the boys burst out laughing at her antics. Adeline laughed as well and then looked outside.

"You should probably get down before you have an accident or cause Gerda to have a heart attack," Adeline laughed.

"Ok ok hang on," Elias chuckled as he wiped his eyes and adjusted the pulley to lower the platform to the ground.

As the platform landed on the ground with a thud, Elias yelped as he stumbled a bit and rolled into the grass followed by Aaron and they ended up on top of each other. And the picnic basket dropped right on Aaron's boys laughed as they got up and Aaron set the basket on the side. Adeline came outside after seeing them roll down the hill and laughed at the sight of them with leaves and grass in their hair.

"Hey Adeline, you want to make grass angels with us," Aaron asked her.

"Grass angels?" Adeline asked him curiously, "Don't you mean snow angels?"

"Yeah but..." Aaron said and then looked at Elias.

Elias smirked and then made a small batch of snow on the grass for them.

The three of them plopped in the snow and then spread their arms above their heads. As they stood up, there were three imprints in the patch. Aaron picked up his basket and looked at them.

"This is my best birthday ever," Aaron said as he sat in the grass and pulled out his sandwich, "So you guys want to split this with me and have lunch?"

"Sure," Elias said as he sat next to him and divided it up into thirds.

"Yeah I could eat," Adeline said as she took one third and took a bite of it, "Mmmm best sandwich."

"Mmmff," Aaron said with his mouth full of his third.
