Chapter 2

The Gamer?

Camden and Midoriya, with the sleeping Hado on their shoulders, arrive at Camden's house and open the door, "Mom, I'm home, Izuku and Hado are with me." A woman with long brown hair poked her head out from around the corner with a smile before seeing Hado is asleep, sighing as she looks at them slightly annoyed, "Another encounter with Bakugo?"

Midoriya looks at Camden's mother before looking back at Camden, "A-Another?" Camden's mother, Rinda, sighs, "Hado and Camden have had quite a lot of fights with Bakugo throughout the school year they can't help but to fight him when he is bullying someone, I'm surprised the director of the school hasn't called me to tell me about it personally, or recommend that I take disciplinary action." Hado wakes up and sleepily says, "The principle doesn't care about those that have weak quirks, how much do you think he cares about those that are quirkless?"

Camden responds, "He doesn't, that's why we have to protect the others because the adults won't, one day I will beat the attitude out of Bakugo. It makes me so mad that he thinks he can step on those with weak quirks or those that are quirkless, so I can't help but fight him, even though I don't have any fighting enhancement quirk like yours Mom." Rinda sighs as she crouches in front of Camden, "It is okay, you still have a chance to have a part of my quirk, you just have to develop it first, your adorable little kid body wouldn't be able to handle it." Midoriya looks at Rinda confused, "What quirk?"

Camden looks at Midoriya as he explains, "My mom's quirk is an enhancement type, it allows her to be able to multiply her physical capabilities to become stronger, or something along those lines. I wish I had that quirk." Someone walks through the door behind them. "Are you saying my quirk isn't cool, son?" Camden " Dad! No no, I didn't say that I love your quirk. I am just saying it doesn't help in a fight. I am sorry, dad."

Chado (Camden's Dad) "It is okay son, I know what you meant and your mom is right you might develop it in the future, your mom thought she was Quirkless till she was 18, she was in the middle of the last match in a martial arts tournament, though I forgot which martial art it was." He chuckles as his wife looks at him with an annoyed expression, "It was a karate tournament, Chado." He smiles sheepishly before continuing his story, "She was having trouble with the last opponent because he was a quirk user, able to increase and decrease his muscle simultaneously. Almost had her beat when she hit him in desperation to get him off the mat… Let's just say her anger caused her quirk factor to activate and sent him flying out of the ring. She won because of it actually." Midoryia looks at Rinda with an amazed expression, "Wow, I wish I had a quirk like yours, ." Rinda looks at Izuku with a gentle smile, "Oh Izuku, you don't have to call me that, we have known you your whole life, please call me Rinda."

Hado stands up straight as his body finally finishes processing his quirk, and the information that he learned, "I'm surprised it came with a tutorial, though it was bloody creepy." Camden looks at Hado, "How can a tutorial be creepy?" Hado looks back at him and smiles, "Well…"

Flashback to after Hado fell asleep

Hado's POV

I woke up to see that I was in the same place I fell asleep, I thought they left me behind so I yelled in frustration, "He convinced you to leave me behind, Izuku? I know you like to prank me Camden, but really? You left me in the street!?" I screamed before stopping, noticing something weird, 'It's the middle of the day, why isn't there anyone around?', I walked up to the store seeing that it was open… but vacant. 'Okay, that's weird, the owner of this shop never leaves it open, without him there to watch over it anyway.' He then saw a weird screen pop up in front of him, making him scream and fall to the ground, [Quirk unlocked: Gamer, put host's mind into Tutorial ID (Instant dungeon) to learn the basics of his new abilities.]

He looks at it confused before tapping the pop up and seeing it vanish before seeing a status sheet appear in his vision, [This is your status sheet here you can see your strength, agility, dexterity, intelligence, wisdom, Charisma, and luck stats, as well as you name, title, health bar, stamina, and MP (locked until you have reached level requirements). You can also see your experience bar underneath your level, you are right now level one, so you will need to win fights or complete quests in order to level up] a quest notification appeared in front of his vision.

Do you accept?
Yes/No

I looked at the screen confused before shaking my head and tapping the yes option, the screen disappearing, being replaced by a relatively blank screen with 2 pictures. [This is your skills menu, at the moment there are no skills available to you, though you will be able to get them through everyday actions, and certain skills will already be advanced based on how you used them before you developed your quirk. At the moment, you have 2 skills, the gamer's mind and the gamer's body. Click them in order to see their descriptions.]

I tap on the icon with me in a full lotus thinking that I was dreaming, [Gamer's mind: Your life has become a game. You now are able to see the titles, names, and levels of those that are within 10 levels of you, any higher and they will be replaced by "?". You also think like a gamer controlling a video game character, able to act calmly in situations that would make any normal person panic, you also have high resistance to mental attacks, and no longer need sleep.]

He blinks before nodding, 'that explains the letters above my head, and the fact that I'm not freaking out.' He looks in the window, [Hado Soul Kades, lv. 1, {The gamer}]. He taps the other icon, this one with his body surrounded by an aura , [The gamer's body: You now have the body of a game character. You no longer will receive cuts, bruises, or even stab/bullet wounds. They will instead be shown through your health bar instead, though a bullet to the head will have a high chance of killing you unless you ********** (Error, cannot reveal information, requirements not met). You now have access to mp and stamina bars to properly manage yourself in a fight.]

I blinked before seeing a shard of broken glass on the ground and, though hesitant, picked it up before placing it against my hand, "Please be true and not a cruel joke." I slide the sharp end of the glass across my hand quickly, not seeing any cut form but crying from the pain, 'It hurts so much.' I looked at my health bar and saw that it did a small amount of damage since it was only on my hand, [45/50 HP]. He watched his health go up a point and looked at it confused before seeing that he was able to regain a point of health every couple of minutes, 'that's a slow recovery time.' [Bonus quest complete: tested the gamer's body skill by causing self injury. Reward: skills unlocked:

Pain tolerance lv.1 (0/100)

The ability to take damage without flinching/ showing it.

Sharp weapons resistance lv.1 (0/100)
The ability to lessen the damage of sharp weapons, slashes, cuts, stabs, the damage of each of these will lower the higher the skill is.
]

I looked at the 2 new skills with a shocked expression, 'I'm glad that I am crazy enough to try something like that. And if I'm going to become a hero, I'm going to need to train these up.' [For thinking wisely about your future safety you have gained +2 to your wisdom stat.] I looked at the notification before nodding, "So I can increase my stats by doing specific actions, like thinking about my future actions for wisdom, to increase my physical stats, I'll have to do physical activity, and intelligence, probably studying, though my luck and charisma will be hard to think of… maybe if I learn how to barter it will help me train my charisma stat. And maybe with luck…"

I take out a quarter and flip it, "Heads", I catch it and slap it onto my hand, 'it was heads nice.' [+2 to luck for correctly guessing the face the coin would reveal] [Bonus quest completed: Wow, you actually figured out how to level up even the Charisma and Luck stat, lucky you. Quest rewards: 1 basic and 1 intermediate skills:

Bartering lv. 1 (0/100)
You are able to convince someone to give you a discount or even convince someone to do something for you
Higher your Charisma stat/ skill level, the more of a chance you have of it working successfully.

Gambling lv.1 (0/150) {Intermediate}
You are able to see if someone is bluffing, or are able to bluff yourself whilst gambling, good cards seem to like you more than the other's, and as the saying goes, "It's only cheating if you get caught."
Luck and Charisma/skill level affects how effective you are at gambling as a whole, not just for poker or slots.

Notice: The skills Lie-detecting and bluffing will no longer be available to unlock since Gambling is a mixture of the 2]

I looked at the new skills before smiling and yelling in happiness. "I have the most versatile quirk EVER!" I jump in the air happily before tapping the screen and moving to the last part of the tutorial… the inventory/customization screen.

"I have an inventory, though there seems to be only 10 spaces available to me at the moment." I looked at the customization tab and saw a lot of options to change my looks before moving back to the inventory screen, "I'll look into that later." I was about to close the inventory screen and complete the tutorial when I saw an item in my inventory and selected it, [Would you like to use the AI voucher? Yes/NO] I pressed the yes option and a voice started speaking to me shocking me for the 3rd time, 'Hello, I am your System Administrator and Manager, though you can call me Sam, I will be working with you for the rest of your life, I hope you will be able to find me useful.' [Bonus quest complete: Use the secret AI voucher that was in your inventory. Reward: Personal AI assistant, SAM, she can help you when you are feeling down, or take over when you are knocked unconscious though she will be severely limited unless ********** (Error, requirements not met for information to be given)] I stared at the message and smiled, 'I hope you enjoy your stay SAM, I hope we are able to become good friends.' I close the last screen and I get a quest completed screen.

[Quest Completed!

Bonus quests:
Test the Gamer's body (2 basic skills)

You used the secret item before the quest was over (AI assistant: SAM)

Potential quirk growth stunted until 10 years of age

Bonus quests lost permanently]

[Due to completion of the tutorial, The Gamer is being removed from the ID]

I looked around as the world around me cracked and broke as I woke up in Camden and Izuku's arms, 'Well… that was an experience.'

Back to present after explaining what happened

"And that's about it, now I am a video game character with possibly limitless potential. Though, I will have to train it up in order to access MP, though everything else is relatively unlocked, though I don't think I will mess with the racial settings." Camden and Izuku look at him happily, before yelling loudly, "Training Montage!"

That's how I learned about my quirk, and how I started to train to be a hero, a couple years later, Camden learned the true possibilities of his quirk, which we originally dubbed limit breaker, though we changed it to perfect human since it made more sense in the end.
