"Adrien Agreste!" Marinette shouted while running after him "Get back here!". Adrien just laughed while running away.
Alya and others were sitting on the bench and watched the sight in front of them.
"Uh, what did we miss?" Alix asked confused.
"What day is it today?" Alya asked her to see if she will figure it out.
"Friday" Alix said slowly and than something clicked inside her brain "April first. Oh".
Alya nodded and smiled "It looks like our sunshine boy pulled prank on her. I can't wait to drain the answers out of her. Or maybe even Nino if he knows something about this".
"If Nino knows what?" Nino asked her while approaching with Kagami next to him.
"About some reason that caused our friends to have such a funny day" Alya said and smirked at him "Do you know anything about this?".
Nino leaned closer and returned the smirk "Well, maybe I do know something about this. But I'm not saying anything".
"Why not?" Alya was taken back by this statement. She watched him as he stood straight up and placed his hand over his heart.
"Bro code" he said proudly and received chuckles from the girls "One of few things on this planet that are unbreakable". He bowed to her "Sorry to disappoint you".
"It's okay 'bro'" Alya said and poked him in the chest "I was going to ask Marinette anyway so-".
They heard a crashing sound behind them and looked in that direction.
"Gotcha!" Marinette shouted proudly as she tackled Adrien and pinned him to the ground "What are we going to do now mister Agreste? What do you say?".
"I- I-" Adrien whispered slowly. Marinette leaned closer to him.
"What are you saying?" she asked him with obvious notice of a tease "Are you trying to say ' I'm sorry'?". She notice Adrien slowly lifting himself up. Than she saw him grinning and she knew that she have fallen in his trap. Adrien quickly turned her to the side and got her of him. Than he got on top of her and now had her pinned to the ground.
"No Marinette" he teased "I got you. What are we going to do now?".
Marinette tried to get out of his grasp but she couldn't even move. Adrien wasn't holding her that hard and it didn't hurt her but his grip was still strong enough to prevent her from going anywhere.
"What do you think?" Adrien asked her softly and leaned really close to her face so their noses were almost touching. This sent chills down her spine and made blood rush to her cheeks and she blushed fiercely. She couldn't look away from his eyes, it was like they were dragging her inside space and infinity. She was brought back to earth after hearing Adrien chuckling.
"Sorry about that. I didn't want to make you uncomfortable" he apologized and offered her his hand "Come on, you will catch a cold".
Marinette looked at his hand and accepted it with a smile "Thanks". She got up to her feet and looked at the ground "Don't worry, I'm not uncomfortable. Not around you at least".
"Are you sure? I pretty sure that blushing is a sign of being uncomfortable" Adrien said and smirked at her.
"Don't worry I-" and than full meaning of his sentence got to her brain "I wasn't blushing! Not a one bit".
"Are you sure? Because I'm pretty sure you-" he wanted to tease her again but she interrupted him by poking him in the chest.
"I. Wasn't. Blushing" she said again and turned his back to him and crossed her arms. She heard him sigh and felt his hand on her shoulder.
"Okay okay. You weren't blushing" he said and turned her towards him "And besides, we will see it anyways when Alya shows us the video. Right Alya?".
Marinette quickly turned towards her friend and saw her grinning at her while keeping her phone in the air. "Alya! Give it to me!".
"Think fast Alix!" Alya shouted and tossed the phone towards her.
"Got it. Juleka! Here!" Alix than tossed it towards her and Juleka grabbed it.
"Rose!" Juleka tossed it towards her but before Rose could catch it someone else did it instead.
"Well well well, what do we have here?" Chloe asked them as she looked at the screen.
Marinette ran to her with pleading look in her eyes "Chloe please, give it to me". She saw Chloe glancing at her that back at the phone, that she started pressing few things on screen and when she was done she simply handed her the phone.
"You are welcome Dupain-Cheng" Chloe said and proceeded to walk away "By the way, it seems like you had a lot of fun". And with that she walked towards the exit.
"What was that?" Marinette said confused and looked at the screen "She deleted the video".
"She did what?!" Alya said and grabbed the phone from Marinette "She really did it! But we had perfect moment. Perfect video. Everything was perfect".
"Don't worry Alya" Rose reassured her "We will have another chance". She noticed Marinette glaring at her and Rose smiled at her. "Some day". They heard bell ringing and knew it was the time to go home. Marinette was in front with Adrien and they were laughing about something.
"I never thought that we would see them like this" Alya said out loud and others looked at her.
"What do you mean?" Alix asked her.
"They seem so normal around each other. I can't remember hearing Marinette stutter around him in quite some time".
"Well" Kagami joined the conversation "I guess she finally learned how to be calm around him. It took some time but at least it's done".
"I guess so. Finally" Alya agreed and turned towards her "What about you and Adrien? Everything okay on your side?".
Kagami sighted "We are okay. As you know we agreed that we couldn't go anywhere with our relationship, so staying just friends seemed like the best option. I'm not complaining but it's kinda hard to forget those feelings you know".
Alya nodded "I know. First love is not easy to overcome, but Marinette managed to do it and I'm sure you will do it too". She received nod of understanding and walked towards the exit.
Once outside they saw Luka standing at the bottom of the staircase waiting for Marinette.
"Marinette, hi" he said with a smile and waved to Adrien "Hey Adrien".
"Hey Luka" Adrien returned the wave and walked down the stairs with Marinette "So, what's your plan for today?".
Marinette kissed Luka on the cheek and sat behind him on his bike "Luka is taking me on Andre's ice cream, than we are going to the zoo and than we will go on the long ride around the Paris I guess".
"That sounds awesome" Adrien said happily. He was really glad for the two. Marinette finally found her prince.
"What about you Adrien?" Luka asked him "What are your plans for today".
"I don't have anything planed. Maybe some last minute duties but that's unlikely".
"You could join us you know" Luka offered but Adrien kindly refused.
"It's okay. And besides I don't want to interrupt your fun".
"Adrien, of course you wouldn't" Marinette said softly but he refused again "It's okay guys. Really".
Luka nodded in understatement "Okay Adrien, if you say so". He glanced at Adrien once again and drove away.
Adrien looked after them for a moment and sighted. He turned around and saw others looking at him with their arms crossed. "What?".
"What was that Adrien?" Alya teased him "Are you sad that she left?".
He was taken back "Sad? No, of course not. I'm glad that they are going to have fun".
Others frowned.
"If you say so" Kagami said sarcastically and received glare from Adrien.
"What's that supposed to mean?" he asked her.
"Oh. Nothing at all".
"Kagami?" Adrien insisted.
"Oh look" she said and pointed "My mother is here. I will see you tomorrow Adrien. Bye guys". She quickly run to the car before Adrien could stop her.
Adrien frowned and saw his bodyguard parking nearby "Well, I guess this is my cue to leave. Bye guys".
"Bye Adrien" they said and waved to him. As soon as he left Alya turned around towards others and growled.
"I swear to god, if it isn't for Marinette I would strangle sunshine boy. I just can't understand him".
"Calm down Alya" Alix said "He will come around. Someday".
"I hope you are right or I swear to god-" she shouted in direction of Adrien's house.
Back at Agreste mansion Gabriel was working in his office when Nathalie walked inside.
"Sir, Lila Rossi sent us this video. Take a look" she said and gave him her tablet.
He looked at the sight in front of him. Marinette chased Adrien and both of them looked like idiots. Gabriel smiled to himself and got up on his feet "Thank you Nathalie. I know what to do now".
Nathalie looked uncertain if this was the right thing to do "Sir are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, how will Adrien react?".
"It doesn't matter Nathalie" he reassured her "When all of this is done he will understand why I did this. Tell Adrien's bodyguard to be prepared. We are visiting Dupain-Cheng's tonight".
