I'm never going to get tired of this. Elsa smiled as she glided on Nokk. She could just make out the shoreline when a pacing figure caught her attention. "It appears the reindeer herder is waiting for you, Mistress." Nokk's soft tone rang throughout Elsa's head. "So it seems." Elsa whispered as she grabbed her chest as her heartbeat began to pulse in her ears. Nokk quietly approached the shore quickly bowing to allow his mistress to easily dismount him. "See you soon." Elsa whispered with her head down to the water spirit. She lifted her head to watch him melt back into the water. Elsa turned and covered her mouth to conceal a small smile that couldn't be helped as she heard the reindeer herder mumbling.
"This is so stupid. I am so stupid. Like the ice queen needs me to escort her around. She's a spirit, no she's a Deity for Ahtohallans sake" Honeymaren kicked a small stone away from her in frustration. I wonder if I can retreat without anyone seeing me here. Honeymaren let out a gasp as her butt hit the ground as she was taken by surprise when a sweet voice answered her ramblings. "It would be nice to have some help to find my way back to the camp." Came a soft reply from the winter spirit. Elsa looked down at Honeymaren extending her hand to help her up. "Here." A deep blush spread across Honeymarens face when she realized Elsa overheard her. Fuck. Honeymaren thought. "Thanks" She reached up to grab Elsa's hand.
When her hand touched the winter spirits it wasn't what she expected at all. Her hands are as cold as ice, but so incredibly soft. Honeymaren thought to herself. A tingling sensation spread from Elsa's hand up her arm spreading like a wildfire throughout her body from the feel of the Nothuldras that grasped her causing Elsa to recoil and let go. "Ouch." Honeymaren replied as she found herself back on the ground in a loud thump. What was that? Elsa thought as her heartbeat increased; her magic humming throughout her body. "I am so sorry!" Elsa quickly apologized offering the reindeer herder her hand once more. "I'll manage." Honeymaren stated as she pushed herself off the ground. I wonder if she felt that too. Honeymaren smiled as the Spirits cheeks were tainted pink. I think so. Honeymaren internally smiled. Honeymaren lifted an eyebrow to the winter spirit. "Everything okay?" Honeymaren could barely stop the giggle that followed the taunting question."I'm fine." Elsa said quickly while looking away to calm her nerves. I cannot be attracted to a woman. She worriedly thought. Honeymaren broke the silence. "This way." Elsa's gaze followed her finger pointing towards the forest.
On the way back to camp Honeymaren turned around towards Elsa and asked "Did you enjoy your adventure?" Elsa was lost in thought looking around at the beauty of the forest. This forest is amazing. I can't believe I get to call it home. "Elsa?" Honeymaren tried again slowing down to a stop; Smiling at the oblivious winter goddess. This is the most freedom I.. Elsas thoughts were stopped as she slammed into a warm body that smelled of the earthy woods. Honeymaren rested her hands on Elsa's shoulders to brace the winter spirit. Her magic was humming again at the feeling of Honeymarens hands as she looked into the deep brown eyes of the woman currently inches away from her. "I'm so very sorry. I was just..." Elsa stammered out trying to pull out of the unfamiliar embrace. Elsa couldn't stop herself before she smiled at the look of Honeymarens dopey smile strewn across her face. Brown eyes got lost looking into icy blue ones. "Are you sure you're okay?" Honeymaren shook her head slightly trying to stop herself from staring. Her eyes are so warm. Elsa dreamingly thought. Honeymaren slid her hands down the ice queens sides stopping at her hips lightly tugging the spirit forward. Elsa closed her eyes relishing the feeling of her magic following the wonderful sensation. "Maren?!" Ryder called out in search of his sister. Shit! Elsa's icy blue eyes widened at the sound. Damn it. He has the worst timing ever. Honeymaren fumed. Elsa stepped backwards too fast and pulled them both down to the ground. "OMG, Why can't I function around her?!" Elsa groaned to herself unaware she said it aloud trying to right herself. "I could ask myself the same thing." Honeymaren replied while carefully detangling herself from the winter spirit. Elsa gasped at the comment. Did I say that aloud? Did she just agree?! Elsa looked down in horror as her cheeks flushed.
Ryder cleared the treeline just in time to see Maren pull the spirit upright. "Everything okay?". Honeymaren glared at her brother. "Yes, We were just coming back to camp, and we got... sidetracked." She carefully replied. Ryder smiled. "Hi Elsa. Did you enjoy your run?" Elsa cleared her throat. "Yes, Why thank you for asking." Years of practice of being a queen helping her hold her composure. Even if her body is still reeling from the feeling of Honeymaren pressed up against her. The three continued into the forest. "Dinner is about to be served. Rabbit stew. My absolute favorite." Ryder commented while approaching camp. "He'd eat anything that doesn't eat him first." Honeymaren stated. Elsa covered her mouth as she smiled at the pair. I already miss Anna. She sadly thought.
Elsa was hungrier than she realized. She had two bowls of the stew. "That was delicious. Thank you everyone for the food tonight." She praised the Northuldra. "It was our honor, Spirit." Yelena replied. "Let me see what we can do for your sleeping arrangements." She continued. "I wouldn't want to be a burden. Please. I can manage to make a shelter." Elsa fidgeted while looking at the older woman. "You are part Northuldra. That makes you one of us, so you are most certainly not a burden. If anything your presence is a blessing. The spirits have been assisting us again. You are to thank for that." Yelena said to the winter spirit. Elsa looked around the camp to see Bruni running around to each fire making sure all were brightly lit. Gale was even blowing around the excess leaves to clear the camp. "Maren can help you find a suitable spot for your dwelling then." Yelena finished and walked off. Elsa blushed lightly recalling this afternoon's adventures with the reindeer herder. Control yourself. Elsa thought to herself as her magic pulsed through her body.
Before Elsa could object, Honeymaren grabbed her hand again and pulled her towards an empty clearing not too far from camp, but would allow her to have some privacy. "I can go get some wood to start setting up a shelter for you." Honeymaren said while reluctantly releasing the ice queens hand. "No, please you all have done so much for me already. I can manage the shelter." Elsa paused. "But if you'd like could you bring me some furs for my bed area?" Elsa asked. Honeymaren walked off in the direction of her dwelling as Elsa got to work. Her powers were present like never before. She could feel them rolling beneath her skin. She raised her hands and her powers went to work. The structure was almost done forming by the time that Honeymaren walked back up, Woah, was the only thought that entered Honeymarens mind. Elsa looked at Honeymaren and smiled. When I made my ice palace it took almost all of my energy. This took almost nothing for me to make. She smiled proudly. The dwelling was the size of a small cabin. "Come inside." Elsa said as she walked into the front door. Honeymaren was dumbfounded, inside there was a strange looking bed made of ice, a table with two chairs, a fireplace and even shelves for her to keep belongings. "How did you know you could do this?" Honeymaren stated in amazement as she handed her an armful of furs. Elsa smiled and said. "It's not the first time I've created something with my magic." She winked and turned to the bed and arranged the first few furs for a mattress and pillow saving a large one for a blanket. Honeymaren was watching Elsa glide over the icy structure with no effort. She makes it look so easy. She thought as her feet slid a bit.
Elsa looked over to Honeymaren. Has she always been so damn tempting. Elsa thought to herself. Conceal. Don't feel. I need to get her to go before something happens like this afternoon. "Thank you again for helping me today." Elsa's queen like nature pushing forward. Honeymaren cocked her head to the side trying to figure out why her demeanor changed. "No no no, It was my honor, you're the fifth spirit after all." Honeymaren smiled. I'm an idiot. Of course she's being attentive. I'm the fifth spirit after all. Elsa's heart felt like it was being squeezed. Honeymaren's smile fell a bit when Elsa's eyes changed ever so slightly. "Did I say something wrong?" Honeymaren reached out to grab Elsa's hand. "I'm fine, just tired." Elsa simply said as she walked towards the front door. Honeymaren frowned at the response. "Well I will leave you to your sleep, your majesty." Honeymaren said. "Goodbye" Elsa said with an emptiness in her tone as she watched the Northuldra leave her ice cabin.
Thanks for the review. It helps me stay motivated for new chapters. ;)
