Hana P.O.V.
Sen'ohana, or Hana, or Deer was training with Rat. He was a newer recruit to the famous Team Ro, and a bit behind the rest of the elite ANBU Team. She looked up to the sky, sensing something coming. "Rat! Hold up." He stopped and looked into the trees where Hana was currently looking. The Torture and Intteregations head dashed out of the treeline. "..Ibiki Morino?!" Hana thought. He stopped in front of Hana, glancing over to Rat. Hana understood and gave him orders to leave. She turned back to Ibiki, wondering what this was about. Ibiki cleared his throat. "You need to come with me. Urgent business." Hana frowned. "I'm technically above you, as the head ANBU Captain. You interrupt our training, but don't tell me what this is about?" He looked around, then leaned closer. "Kakashi was asking for you, he.. Just please come." he said warily. Hana's expression didn't change a bit. "I don't know him very well," She said, her voice in the tone you use to mask your emotions, a commonly used method in torture. "So.. she's hiding something." He cleared his throat again. "You do know who I am, correct?" Hana sighed. "Yes, yes.." Ibiki continued. "Kakashi had a seizure and panic attack. He's in the hospital." Hana turned towards him, stiff as a board. Her eyes betrayed her shock and worry. "Fine." She said, a bit shaky. Ibiki was a bit confused. "What is their relationship?"
Hana and Ibiki appeared in the hospital room with a teleporting jutsu. Hana's hands clapped over where her mouth under her mask is. She threw the mask aside and ran to Kakashi. The next thing she did surprised everyone, including Kakashi's three students, who had entered to see what the commotion was about, and Guy and Lee, who had come right behind Team 7. She ripped down the now awake Kakashi's mask, and kissed him.
Everyone was frozen with shock. They watched as Hana's hand slipped behind Kakashi's head, and propped him up. The kiss lasted quite a while, and after their lips parted, she slipped his mask back up and leaned back. She started sobbing. "Kakashi... I told you to move in with me... This wouldn't have happened if you had just.." Kakashi looked at her intently and pulled her closer until their foreheads were leaning against each other. "No.. I know, I'm sorry." Hana continued crying. "Oh gosh, please don't scare me like that. I don't want Kirameku to grow up without a dad!" Kakashi weakly gave an eye-smile. "No, no, I won't.." Hana leaned back and turned towards the crowd that was staring at them in shock. "Heh...yeah... We're married." She said nervously. "Kakashi didn't want to tell anyone.." She turned to him "Prideful little-" She was cut off by Kakashi's wheezy laughter. "Ok, Ok.." He said. Hana got off Kakashi, looking back at their audience once more. "Well... I see there will be a lot of explaining to do! Uh.. questions..?" Tsunade spoke up. "Who without a dad!?" Hana laughed. "Our child!" She put her arm around her stomach. Only a month in, but we decided on a name already." Tsunade's eyes widened to their full extent. It looked like it hurt.
Everyone was in the most shock of their lives, while Hana seemed extremely amused and Kakashi had fallen asleep. A few more questions were asked, like, "How long have you been together?", or "Kakashi's in a relationship!?". Eventually, Tsunade blurted out, "Then why in the freaking world are you on duty!? What- What were you thinking!?" Hana looked surprised for a moment, then twisted her hands together in a seemingly embarrassed habit. "Oh.. I wanted to keep it a secret- well, mostly Kakashi, because people would have to find out who the father is but... Yeah, I decided it would be too suspicious to just ask for a freaking year off. I thought-" Hana was cut off by Tsunade. "Well consider it done! We're getting you and Kakashi settled and both off-duty! And make sure there are no buts from Kakashi- ya hear me!?" Hana gave a curt nod. Tsunade then turned back towards the crowd behind her. "OUT! THEY NEED PRIVACY!" Everyone scrambled out, except for Naruto. He wouldn't budge. Tsunade was about to use force when Hana spoke up. "You're Naruto, correct?" Naruto lit up. Kakashi-Sensei must've told her about him! "Yes, Hana-san!" Tsunade growled at his usage of respect towards her. He couldn't even call her Tsunade-san! It was always "Granny". What a stupid, disrespectful idiot! Hana smiled softly at Naruto and the fuming Tsunade. "You can stay and talk to Kakashi for a moment. It's alright." She directed the latter sentence at Tsunade, who was continuing to glare at Naruto. Tsunade stalked out of the room. If smoke could come out of your ears like in cartoons, smoke would be pouring out Tsunade's.
After the door was shut and all was quiet, Naruto came and sat down next to the now asleep Kakashi. This Naruto was different from the boisterous, quite silly, and overall idiotic student Kakashi had told her so much about. Of course, Kakashi didn't leave out the fact that Naruto was also a natural-born leader, and always (overly?) confident of his and his teammate's skills. But this was different. Naruto looked... troubled. He looked up from Kakashi's peaceful, well, kind of peaceful, complexion. "Why.. why a panic attack? He.. why..?" Naruto looked extremely confused. Hana was hesitant in telling him of Kakashi's past. "I think it's his story to tell you. I'm not sure if he even ever will... But maybe you can ask him when I'm around. I might just be able to help convince him.." Hana laughed softly. Naruto smiled, then reverted back to his confused state from earlier. "I thought ANBU were supposed to be.. Tough. And scary!" He said the last part with a slight shudder. Hana looked at him with a glint of sadness, but it was gone in an instant.
"Well, did you know Kakashi was in ANBU since he was 13, up until the year before you became a team? And he was an ANBU captain for most of that time." Naruto's jaw dropped. "WHAT!?" Hana shushed him, but Kakashi was already awake. "Huh..?" He said in a gravelly voice. Hana handed him some water. 'Thanks." He muttered. Naruto shuffled closer to the bedside. "Uh, I have a request, Kakashi-Sensei.." Kakashi looked up, wondering what Naruto had a request for. Hana was wondering if Naruto was going to ask about Kakashi's past, and was ready to butt in as soon as possible. But Naruto asked something very different.
"I-I was wondering if I could be like… your kid's Onii-san er somthin'..." Kakashi's eyes widened slightly, then he flashed a knowing eye-smile at Naruto. (If that's even possible...(Of course it is, it's Kakashi for Kami's sake!)) He was about to say something, but Hana said it first. "Oh Naruto, we would love that!" Kakashi glanced at Hana, then nodded. "Yeah.. of course, Naruto." Naruto opened his mouth again, hesitant. Now he was going to ask about Kakashi's past. "Um... Kakashi-Sensei… Well, Hana told me about how you had a panic attack and, well, I was wondering if you could maybe explain all that to me?" He asked meekly. Kakashi looked surprised, and Naruto and Hana, both perceptive, saw a flash of what looked like fear in his eyes. He sighed, looking resigned. "Well… I guess you should get Sakura and Sasuke." He said wearily.
After all of Team 7 was gathered beside Kakashi at his bedside, he started his story. "It all started when I was born. My mother was an Uchiha, she died giving birth, (there were a few gasps and sounds of pity at this) and, of course, my father was a Hatake. You may have heard of him, he was pretty famous." Naruto perked up. "Wait… you look like the White Fang! I have some old bingo books, he looks super cool!" (Don't ask how Naruto has old bingo books… he just does.)
Kakashi smiled. "Yeah.. but, anyway, when I was 4 years old, right before the 3rd Shinobi War broke out, my dad went on a mission. On that mission, he decided to save his teammates instead of completing the mission, and many believe that's when the war started. All because he saved his teammates, which is also against the Shinobi Laws." Sakura frowned. "I've always thought that was a stupid rule. I mean, wouldn't it be better to save your teammates so you have backup?" Hana nodded. "I think everyone thinks that. But we can't really do anything about it, can we?" They all agreed with them, and Kakashi continued.
"So, the village pretty much shunned him, and one day, he broke and committed suicide." The three genins gasped, although Sasuke's was hidden behind a cough. "That's horrible.." Sakura whispered. Kakashi continued. "After he died, the village turned on me. I was 6 when he.. did it, so it was a while before it settled down. It was only a few years ago when people fully stopped mentioning him, or me in distaste." Naruto stared at their normally lazy, weird sensei. 'I had no idea… he's...like me.'
"So, you guys know how I went to the Academy when I was 4, graduated when I was 5, and became a chunnin at 6?" The genins all gasped. "WHAT!?" yelled Naruto. Kakashi nodded, looking amused. "Well, when I became a Jonin, actually the day of, my squad and I went on a mission. I was on a team with an Uchiha, Obito, (Sasuke let out a tiny gasp at this) a medic, Rin, and my sensei, who eventually became the well-known Yondaime." Naruto jumped up at this. "Woah, cool!" He said. "I've always looked up to him. He's super cool!" Kakashi eye-smiled in agreement. (Again, only Kakashi could achieve this.) "Yeah. So, on that mission, Sensei left us three to infiltrate the Iwa nin, but Rin got captured and Obito wanted to go after her. I didn't," He frowned at this. "Because I strictly followed the rules after my father passed, but he told me this. He said, "In the ninja world, those who don't follow the rules are scum. But those who abandon their friends are worse than scum!"
The team nodded, recognizing that quote. "You taught us that on our very first day as a team, didn't you, Sensei." Stated Sakura. "Yes, I did. When he originally said that to me, I pushed my want to save Rin away, but eventually, I decided to go save her and Obito. I got there just in time to protect Obito from an Iwa nin, and the scar he gave me is this one." Kakashi pointed to the long scar starting from just below his hairline, stretching across his left eye and down below his mask. "Obito then activated his Sharingan, and saved me, since I had just lost the use of my eye. We went and saved Rin from where she was being held hostage in a cave, but the Iwa nin caused a cave-in and I was hit in my blind spot. Obito threw me to the side and was crushed. He gave me his Sharingan as a gift, and because Rin was a medic-nin, she was able to transplant the eye." Everyone looked slightly disgusted, Sasuke for different reasons, obviously.
"Moving on, about a year later, I went on a mission with Rin. Rin was captured again, and the Iwa nin put the Three-Tails inside of her." Naruto's eyes widened at hearing this. "Rin realized they wanted the Three-Tails to be released once we reached the Village, so when I used Raikiri she jumped in front of me and my lightning pierced her through the heart. That's when all the panic attacks, nightmares, and illusions started. Later that year, my sensei was named the Yondaime and I joined ANBU. I met Hana, and then, as you all should know, my sensei died during the Kyuubi attack." Kakashi's team of genin were in shock.
Naruto spoke up first. "Your sensei was the Yondaime!?" Kakashi nodded. "That's really cool! But… it's my fault he died…" Kakashi suddenly grabbed Naruto's shoulders. "No, Naruto. None of that was your fault. It was entirely a coincidence that you had that happen to you, and in reality, it shouldn't have happened." Sakura frowned. "What shouldn't have happened?" Hana shook her head. "It's an S-Class secret, honey. No more questions, or you'll be in big trouble." Sakura nodded frantically. Sasuke frowned at this but nodded as well. Naruto grabbed Sakura and Sasuke's hands. "Well, we'd better get going! Bye, Kakashi-Sensei, bye Hana-san!" He yelled. "Bye Kakashi." Sasuke muttered. "Oh, bye, I guess." Sakura said. Once they were gone, Kakashi let out a sigh. Hana looked over at him, and they locked eyes. Hana snorted and then they both broke out laughing. "Wow," Hana said after they had mostly calmed down. "They're really somethin', huh?" Kakashi nodded. "Yeah… they really are."
I fixed some errors, including the one kakashihatake7 pointed out. Thank you for letting me know, I really appreciate it!
