Chapter 2: New Begining
Three young kids laid in hospital beds. Two boys and a girl. One boy with black hair, the other with dark brown hair and the girl a blonde. The two boys had a tail which had startled a few people as many were unaware of Saiyans. Outside the room stood a man watching them through the window. He wore standard Jonin clothing and had his forehead protector around his head. He turn around to see and young teenage boy accompanied by a much older man. The boy had purple hair, wore a black shirt and grey pants and also had a Leaf forehead protector. The older man wore a hat and haori with a red, full-length kimono that is tied using a white sash.
"Is it them Gohan-Sensei?" The young boy asked.
"Yes it would appear so. They appeared just outside the village a few hours ago and have been in and out of consciousness. I was told that they seem to appear healthy. They're probably just drained." Replied the older Saiyan.
"So these are the three others you've been expecting?" The Third Hokage looking at the trio. "Anyone else from your world?"
"No. At least no one who actually came through that portal." Gohan told the Hokage. "When they awake they probably won't have any recollection of their past lives. That is something that they'll have to remember on their own."
"Wouldn't it better to just to force them to remember? All we're going to do is waste time if we wait until they remember. You know how long that could take!" Trunks shouted. Gohan looked at his younger friend and sighed. He knew what he had gone through in his timeline and what he had just gone through.
"Listen Trunks, I understand your frustration and I know you want to find a solution on getting us back home but that's something that I'm going to look into. Meanwhile, you need to get stronger. You still haven't been able to reach the heights you once did. And they won't be any different. This world is filled with dangerous foes and we all need to be able to look out for ourselves and each other. They are going to go into the academy to learn what they can to become strong."
The academy huh?"
"Yes Lord Hokage. That's also another reason I don't want them knowing about their past. They will have a harder time picking up a new form of fighting if all they remember is their old ways. And-" Gohan noticed a certain look in the Hokage's face. "What is it?"
"You know how the village elders have felt about Saiyans and even Danzo has his worries about you two. Enrolling them into the academy right now will cause a stir to be sure. Especially after what just happened here recently." The old man sighed heavily. "They will be permitted to enroll, if that's what they want."
"Those two boys are Saiyans. Fighting and getting stronger is in their blood. As far as the girl is concerned, she can hold her own against anyone here and she's not one to shy away from a fight." Gohan replied with a smile.
"Very well, what are their names." The older man asked
"Goku, Vegeta and the other one, we don't know here name. She just went by Number 18."
"Odd, but I suppose we can give her a name if she doesn't mind. Anyways, I best be on my way. I have work to do." With that the Hokage left the two Saiyans alone.
The two stood in silence. Gohan could feel Trunks' anger, sadness and frustration. Trunks had enough of doing nothing. He needed to find a way back home.
"I know Trunks." Gohan broke the silence. "I know what it's like to feel hopeless. I know what is like to loose a close friend but if you start reacting on pure emotion then you'll only end up hurting yourself. We have to be smart about this."
"I'm not some kid, Gohan-Sensei!" Trunks yelled. "We have them! We can finally find away back! Why don't you want that?!" Trunks felt his eyes fill with tears.
Gohan could see that Trunks had gotten to his breaking point. He had just remember everything not too long ago and that had taken a toll on him plus what had just went down in the village a month ago. Gohan put his hand on Trunks' shoulder.
"I do want to go back but we have no way of knowing if we can go back or how. That is why I'm going to leave." Trunks jolted his head upwards to look at his friend.
"Leaving? Where?"
"I'm going to explore the world. In all my time here, I feel as if I have barely seen much of this world. I'm going to every known and unknown region." Trunks was about to ask a question but Gohan answered before hand. "Yes, I'm even going to go beyond the Ninja Border. Like I said, I also want to go home. I'm going to find a way by searching for answer around the world.
Trunks was stunned by this news. He wanted to go but he knew the answer to that question.
"Won't it be dangerous?"
"Oh I'm sure it will be but I won't be going alone." Gohan said with a sly smile. "This journey is going to take me a few years. Hopefully I get back in time for them to remember who they are. Anyways while I'm gone, I want you to continue getting stronger in using your Ki and Chakra. I don't think we will see each other anymore, I'm leaving early in the morning, so I'll see you when I return." With a smile and wave, Gohan walked away. "Oh and make sure you train them during the full moon."
Trunks saw his friend leave, someone he had met as a child now an adult who resembled his master more and more.
'You're on your path Gohan-Sensei, so I must find my own.' He thought to himself. 'Full Moon training should be fun thing I guess.'
Later on that night Gohan had requested a meeting with the Konoha Council, which consisted of the Third Hokage, Danzo and the two village elders. He told them about the trio and how they would be enrolled in the academy. Gohan could feel the tension in the room.
"They are two Saiyans and the girl is someone who seems to have an endless amount of Chakra. These three will be a huge asset to our village. Trunks will take care of the two Saiyans' Full Moon training so they have full control but I will suggest having a seal on the three of them."
"A seal? What kind of seal?" Asked an older man with glasses by the name of Homura.
"For them to use their Great Ape form, they must use Ki. Without it, they can't transform. Seal away their Ki and break it when training. Plus, this way they don't have no advantage in class."
"That is a good idea but why put a seal on the girl? She isn't a Saiyan." Asked the older woman by the name of Koharu.
"No she isn't but she has the ability to use Ki just as well as Saiyans do. She may not look it but she's a power house." Gohan said.
"You said that Trunks would take care of their Full Moon training," The Third Hokage said. "Why aren't you going to take of that?'
"Well that is the reason I requested this meeting. I am leaving the village for a few years to see the world. There are answers that I won't find here." Gohan's response left them all in shock. He knew he might have some push back on this but he had to do this, one way or another.
"And do you think we will allow you to leave?" Danzo finally spoke. "You hold many of our village's secrets. Saiyans have been known to be deceitful. What makes you any different from the rest of them."
Gohan had never really like Danzo. For some reason, something about him just didn't sit right with Gohan. Before he could answer, he just smiled. The door opened
"Because I trust him." A man with long white hair walked in.
"Jiraya." Hokage smiled as he blew smoke out. "I was wondering when you'd step in."
"Hey old man, you know I like making an entrance. Anyways, Gohan asked me to accompany him on this journey a while ago. I just recently became free to do so. I trust this man as much as I trusted the Fourth Hokage. And for the next few years we're going to go on a training expedition to every known and unknown region. And I know you have your reservation but this man is honorable."
"I still don't like this idea." Danzo said as he got up and walked out the room.
After Danzo left, the five of them talked about what exactly they were going to be doing during their time away from the village. Gohan made sure to not anything about his true motives. Only Jiraya and the Third Hokage knew about that. After getting everything in order the two left before sunrise to begin their journey around the world. Gohan looked back at the village as they stepped further away from it.
'See you in a few years.'
