Chapter2: The Dark Descends part 1

[Author's Note I know that we got introduced before, but I wanted to make this chapter take place during Volume zero next chapter will be my own twist on Volume 1}

(Chocola POV)

I was walking down to the living room where I saw master talking on his phone with someone however when I hoped it was Shigure, but it was a nurse from general Falls Hospital. I stood in the shadows and in silence.

"I sees well I guess we should see him?" master said. "Aright thanks, goodbye," master said as he hung up and put his hands over his face. "I failed.," master said breaking down. I walked out of my hiding spot and hugged my master. "His dying Chocola I can't do anything."

"He? Who are you talking about master?" I said perking my ears up. He turned to me and whispered the name I stopped hugging him and backed away covering my mouth. "Ace is he can't, he can't be gone! He can't be dying!?" I shouted my tears now falling down my cheek.

"It's true though his dying and going to die all because you are too weak, but if I was in charge of us, I would make sure he lived." I heard a dark voice similar to mine say from behind me. I turn around and a shadow version of myself with glowing red eyes holding two knives and wearing red bikini like armor with thigh high black boots and my hair is black as night.

"who are you?" I asked and before I could blink shadow me charged me and had a blade at my neck.

"I'm you just stronger, and you can't avoid me for long," with that she slit my throat then I woke up falling out of my bed.

[Minaduki household 12:00am]

Unable to calm myself I run down stairs and plan to take some medicine ace got for panic attacks. When I get down there, I see ace laying on the couch with the TV on Toonami, asleep. Seeing my friend, I ended up calming down and walked over to him before deciding to lay next to him. There was enough room for my tiny self to cuddle him.

I never knew why I would do this, but I can't help, but think that Ace and Master are one in the same and it would be months before I would learn how many of my thoughts are true. I just couldn't help, but feel warm in Ace's arms and I fall asleep.

[Minaduki household 10:30am]

I woke up to find vanilla and Coconut smiling I soon realized why ace had his arms wrapped around me like his hugging a plush toy. I giggle before booping his nose waking him from his sleep.

He moved his arms away from my waist and yawned. So being the friends we are me, Vanilla and Coconut all tackled him in a group hug before our three other sisters joined in. Ace was now covered with us Cat girls and we all giggled and gave him individual kisses on the cheek okay except Cinnamon who kissed him straight on the lips before blushing.

Ace smiled and I could tell Cinnamon was going to be busy later which kind of hurt, but I still can't choose between ace and master so I had no right to be so jealous. Master walked in and got us off him as we had to get ready for today. Ace as I probably mentioned before, is the bodyguard of the shop and makes sure we don't get harassed or lewded by customers.

(Ace POV)

As the girls worked diligently, I watched as always as I saw the busy Cat Girls do their thing. We had an important person coming today the head of the Alucard family and mistress of the Blood Knights Rachel Alucard. I was a bit nervous mainly because she has recruited me despite my sensei's wishes.

I was broken from my thoughts when Cinnamon came up to me looking a little worried. "Ace-sama, are you okay? You look a little sick." Cinnamon said touching my forehead checking my temp. 'You should sit down for a bit; your anxiety is making you sick." Cinnamon said in her sweet and shy voice. She's been my friend longer than Chocola and Maple infect I knew her even before Shigure took her in.

(Flashback)

It was a normal summer day and I finished my patrols for the day as I headed back to Rachel to report when I see a kitten with lavender hair getting chased by some black dogs. She was pretty beaten up, her knees were banged up, her little dress was torn and she was covered in dirt and dried blood. The dogs were on her heels as she lost a shoe, crying for help. I drew my bow and let an arrow fly and as it split into three light arrows cutting the dogs off and the little Neko tripped as I caught her.

"I got you sweetie, calm down." I said as she cried and buried her face in my shoulder. I held her and picked her up. "It's too dangerous out here at night let's get you safe. I said as some fellow knights shot the dogs full of arrows. I took the still crying kitten to the Blood knights HQ. I went inside as the kitten quieted down in my arms. Rachel entered the room and the scent of roses was strong.

"I see you brought in another stray? Give her to Valkenyhn and get her cleaned up. I rather not risk her staying dirty and getting sick." Rachel said. The Kitten gripped my shirt tightly. "Or you can take care of her yourself." Rachel said looking at the Kitten with pity.

"I shall my lady, I feel bad enough for her." I said carrying her to the bath. She kept a tight grip on me as she settled down.

(Flashback disrupted)

Before I could continue the flashback, an explosion goes off two blocks down making everyone stop and freeze. Sensing trouble I ran outside and saw an armored figure impaling a local and throwing him to the ground. I drew my sword and ran at the figure holding a sword of flesh and steel. Seeing me he charged at me and our swords met causing a shockwave that shook the buildings and bakery. I slid back from the force. The figure stabbed into the ground as a soul wave burst forward. I blocked it with an energy shield but the dark power of his sword broke it and sent me into a car. I was dazed.

"You will make a fine sacrifice boy." The figure said and thrusted forward but before he hit, Chocola got in the way her close and hair were black and her usual amber eyes were golden. She wore a revealing black dress with matching stockings and heels. "My, dear child. You have a hardy soul. Allow me to take i…" The figure gets cut off as a rapier separates him and Chocola. Chocola looked up as she was very upset.

"Back of Nightmare, Lord Alistor wants this girl alive and well the boy isn't ready yet." A young man with silver hair and black angel wings flew over us. "I am Raphael Crowley and you Chocola…no Heavns feel are my prey now let the dark descend." Raphael said.

Before falling asleep, I see dark clouds roll in and then everything went black.
