I haven't written a story since 2016-ish. I really wanted to get back into writing but I didn't think I was good enough and was kinda stalling for about a year. I don't know if this is a good starter for this story, but i had think idea for a couple weeks and decided to try writing fanfiction again. Since Warriors seems easy to write about and I came up with this cool AU, so I decided I'll write about this. I kinda really pity Breezepelt, and I think he's pretty cool if you exclude his evil arc.

I don't know how far I'll go along with this story and I don't have the whole story planned out in my head but this story takes place around the time The Sight took place.

It was the coldest leaf-bare Crowfeather had ever experienced. It had been a couple moons since he last spoken to his true love, Leafpool, the ThunderClan medicine cat.

To keep his loyalty to his clan, Crowfeather had to take a mate. There was a young and mateless she-cat, Nightcloud. He didn't really love her but he had to pretend he loved her. Crowfeather doesn't know if she loves him or not but he doesn't really care.

Crowfeather heard pawsteps from behind and saw his mother, Ashfoot coming toward Crowfeather. She looked worried and was nearly out of breathe.

"Nightcloud is giving birth! We need you to come back to camp." Ashfoot came to a stop next to Crowfeather.

His gaze went to the direction of the camp. When Nightcloud gave the news that she was expecting, he was surprised and really didn't want to feel the responsibility of taking care of tiny versions of his mate that he doesn't even love.

"I'm coming."

Ashfoot and Crowfeather made it to camp. The first thing he sees is Emberkit and Antkit tussling in front of the nursery. Kestrelkit was following Barkface as he was coming inside the Nursery, maybe to help out Nightcloud.

Coming into the Nursery, Whitetail was whispering softly to Nightcloud, and Barkface was beckoning herbs to the nursing queen.

At the belly of the black-furred queen was three tiny kittens. One was black-furred, just like his mother. The second one was a pale gray kit and the third was a gray tabby.

Nightcloud looked up at Crowfeather, "we have a she-kit and tom-kits."

He felt hurt when seeing her smile. He didn't love her or the kits but she looked like she loved him, looks like she couldn't lie. Crowfeather crouched down and looked down at his kits.

"WindClan will have new warriors in no time." Crowfeather purred.

Whitetail backed up, "calm down, Crowfeather they're just newly-born kits!"

Nightcloud settled her head on her mossy bed, "How about we go ahead and name them?"

"Alright." Crowfeather agreed.

Ashfoot settled down next to Crowfeather, "Never thought I'd have grandkits of my own." She looked at Nightcloud, "mind if I name one? Crowfeather isn't really good at this kind of thing."

Nightcloud purred, "sure."

The WindClan deputy gently nose the gray tabby, "I'd like this one to be Hopkit." She looked at Crowfeather, "I haven't forgotten about your father. Deadfoot used to be named Hopkit, it would be nice to remember his memory through this kit."

"I think thats a great idea." Nightcloud meowed. She looked fondly at the pale gray she-kit. "This one is Marigoldkit."

Crowfeather looked at the black-furred tom-kit. He didn't like the idea of being in the responsibility of naming a member of WindClan. 'Nightkit? Darkkit? Blackkit? No, it doenst sound right. He is a member of WindClan, maybe Windkit? Not right either. WindClan... wind... wind..'

"Breezekit." Crowfeather named.

He curled up next to Nightcloud.

Kestrelkit looked at the litter of kits before scampering after Barkface and Whitetail.

Ashfoot whispered to Crowfeather before leaving.

"Good luck."
