Chapter 2

The walk to the ramen shop was nerve racking it took everything not to turn around and run, but he wouldn't give her up without a fight. This is at least what he kept telling himself. He wore his usual jeans, red t shirt and signature black leather jacket hoping she liked what she saw. Inuyasha knew the appeal was there, but the one he wanted to draw in was her for once he did he wouldn't let her go. He got there and looked inside seeing if Kagome had made it so he could make an entrance. To his luck she was there and looking more beatiful then he had ever seen her. She had her hair in a side braid wirh a enchanting summer dress that made her curves look more dnagerous and this had his heart racing faster then he thought possible. Putting on his smirk he walked through the door putting on the charm.
"Hey wench," Inuyasha said as he sat down
"Inuyasha!" Kagome squealed excitedly Kagome go up and hugged him in her excitement she didn't see how pink his face got.
Once she was done Kagome sat back down with the biggest, goofiest he had ever seen.
*Kagomes p.o.v.*
"Calm down woman," Inuyasha replied with a laugh
Kagome forgot how much his life sent a tingle up her spine. Yes she was engaged to hojo, but that didn't mean that her feeling for Inuyasha had died. for when he had got a hold of her this morning she has almost fallen out of bed. Thus the reason she took extra time to look good and now she realized it was gonna be comparing them again. She inwardly sighed maybe hojo wasn't it? In truth she had a month to figure it out.
"I know, but i haven't talked to you in what months?" Kagome replied teasingly
"To be fair i do run a kick ass bar which takes a lot of my time," Inuyasha boasted with a smirk
"Is that so? maybe i should get dressed up and come to your bar to find you?" Kagome questioned with a sultry undtertone which caused Inuyasha to almosr choke on his his water.
"Right i doubt your fiance would be ok with this plan," Inuyahsa replied back
"Well he travels a lot i doubt he would notice," Kagome stated in a sad tone
"On to happier topics? hows it going with everything else?" Inuyasha asked curiously
"Well I got promoted to executive chef at Shiko no Tama, " Kagome repled proudly
"That's great, I'm proud of you." Inuyasha answered with pride in his face
"Yeah so are mom, sota and grandpa. I haven't told him yet he is out of town until a week before the wedding," Kagome replied
"Seriously? that's bullshit! I will help you i don't mind," Inuyasha stated fuming
on the inside Kagome was temporally stunned at his offer she knew he was busy and this was a sweet gesture maybe she could use a little help.
*Inuyasha's p.o.v*
Inuyasha could kill the bastard for leaving this all on Kagome, but he was pretty sure that sango and her mom stepped in to help. Still it was crazy to jump in but it was just the shot he needed and damn he was gonna take.
"You mean it?" Asked Kagome
It was at this point the waiter came and took their orders Kagome got her usual oden and inuyasha his ramen of which her odrered 3 the man could eat.
"Of course i do. I help arrange or pay for anything you need just ask," Inuyasha offered, but Kagome didnt quite catch the extenet he meant
"Well there are a couple things...like a venue and cake I need someone to go with me to test out cake." Kagome suggested
"I can help with both and I'm free tomorrow afternoon? Shippo can cover me for a bit the kid does a good job," Inuyasha replied with a smile
"That would be great I will send you the details later tonight," Kagome said smiling
The rate his heart was beating couldn't be any faster, but the fact that he could take away some of her stress made him happy. The waiter came back with their food and they both ate in compainable silence enjoying that and the food. Inuyasha was so excited he would show up Hojo if it was the last thing he did starting with how he could be a better husband and every way.
*Kagomes p.o.v*
If she didn't already find him appealing this would have sparked it for someone who cared enough to do this was well worth this she decided would be an interesting way to see how this adventure was going to go. It was 1pm by the time she looked at her phone and realized that she should praably get back soon yet she didn't want to leave inuyasha for she felt a strong pull it got strong the longer she was there,
"I hate to go, but i need to get back," Kagome said with saddnes in her tone
"That's ok I'll see you tomorrow anyways," Inuyasha replied while paying for their food before she had the chance.
Kagome went to get up, but before she could he pulled her chair out doing his best to be a gentleman. Once she had her coat on they walked outside and hugged goodbye. Her whole body felt alive when he touched or looked at her, Kagome's blood was on fire and this was her final thought when she turned around to leave not noticing the look Inuyasha was giving her as she walked away on cloud nine.
