Chapter Two: Investigation, I Quirked Up

Inspired by Song: Little Poor Me By Layto

At sixteen Shouta was very used to a lot of things being a given. Like being questioned why he wasn't in school to wondering when his next yelling match with one of his older siblings would be. Even to the groundings, he'd get. Today wasn't one of those days with his family but it was one with the Authorities who stood in front of Shouta attempting to be 'big' and 'bad' to threaten him for the right responses. Shouta even told the truth that he was homeschooled. Mother and Father were very adamant about that given his unique useful gift. Shouta didn't enjoy public schools anyways. Too strict and too... goody.

Shouta wasn't a very good 'group' person either and his siblings were as far as he could tolerate in reality. The cops here were just driving him batty with their 'fake' attitude when in truth they should just outright state 'Did you run away' or 'Are you skipping school'. The explanation Shouta gave was very straightforward, very logical in explaining everything they'd yet to ask before Shouta questioned them why they were bothering him instead of bothering those who were more suspicious than Shouta was. A teen just strolling down the street sipping a soda; very suspicious; insert severe dry voice of a comedian here, please.

Thankfully Shouta watched them walk away but un-thankfully it was only because as they were getting more aggressive a Hero just 'happened' to be walking by. 'Happened' is in the world of suspicion because Shouta knew from looking at Hero routes that this Hero didn't even belong in the area he was casually walking the sidewalk of and that 'said Hero' was off duty. Why he was all glammed up and dressed to the nines in his Hero attire Shouta wouldn't know. Why Said Hero was waving happily to the cops before smiling brightly at Shouta, Shouta didn't know. Why the said Hero was the one who had the damn Banana hair, and the reason his ass and back was rather painful this morning after a few hours under not only Alain's attentive 'needs' but Nick's later for a few minutes of interaction the day before, Shouta didn't know.

WHY the damn Hero was trying to be chummy and happy... SHOUTA DIDN'T FUCKING KNOW!

So with a glare, a flick of a wrist, a bird of a finger flying high, Shouta said promptly, "Go fuck yourself." and turned to leave only to have a sudden 'whiny' Hero saying his name in a way that had Shouta's spin twitching and his cock 'happily stirring, WHY WHY WHY WHY WHAT THE FUCK!, Shouta didn't even know but he stilled and the Hero was just damn happy about that.

"Ah, you do love me, Shouta!" Present Mic teased, "Come on, let's go get something to eat. You look like you haven't eaten since last Wednesday." Something about the whole 'sentencing' and 'phrasing' seemed off for normal conversation, an itch and tingle in the back of Shouta's mind, but overall it just 'felt' normal because... Exhibit A: Suinzain Family habits.

And that would be almost accurate, as Shouta glanced down at his soda to think of the last real meal he ate outside of his drinks with his family and the rare protein bar Tinra shoved in his hands. In truth, Shouta's family, when they were on missions, had the mentality of 'fend for yourselves'. Shouta gave two shits about it and was lazy enough that Shouta had literally nearly starved once on a mission. Not in his body, oh no, but in Shouta's borrowed body.

Shouta just was too lazy to get up to cook or order in. It was why his family when Mother or Father was around were always forcing Shouta to eat... And Midoriya was cute when he was a fussy butler/slave. Midoriya's mother was the same. Shouta ate rather well with the two being more his personal servants back home. With a groan, Shouta followed, by a hand dragging him that was wrapped around his shoulders like a vice grip from the much MUCH taller man to a restaurant. Well, Family-style small diner. Shouta looked around at the bright popping colors before to the man who was flamboyantly ordering a meal for the two of them. In a ... rather annoying flamboyant way that made Shouta wonder how the guy wasn't dead yet. Heroes in his world were not this stupid. The 'Present Mic' of his world was obviously not 'stupid' like this one. This one was too trusting of his surroundings not to fear the strangers that might just jump out and kill him quickly. Too trusting of Shouta because he looked like 'His' Shouta.

Stupid Hero, but the food was delicious!

Shouta was halfway through with the food before realizing he was being stared at and flushing, "Yes?" Shouta swallowed his food before speaking again as he began eyeing up into the rather goofy grin on Present Mic's face. "What?" Shouta slightly snapped.

"Sorry... Sorry... just, wow. Brings back memories when my Shouta ate as a Teenager." Shouta quickly slotted that into his book now knowing the Aizawa Shouta of this time was the same age as this Present Mic apparently. So roughly between twenty-five and thirty-five. So more years under his belt as a hero than the Suinzans' were used to. Underground Hero meaning more experience with dealing with kidnapping, being held hostage, and obvious 'abuse'. Who knew how often the guy was a target of some sicko.

Wait... Shouta really didn't want to know that actually. Shouta was going to be spending some time in the guy's body to get his information. He really didn't want to know more than the work he was going to be suffering already.

Taking a few more bites, lengthening the chewing, Shouta spoke again with a frown on his face, "You keep comparing me with someone I don't even know. It's very 'Nice' of you but I got no 'reference' of this fella." Shouta almost spat out the word 'Hero' instead of Fella but it was a fast correction in his mind's manuscript to correct as Shouta spoke with a hesitant 'unfriendly' demeanor.

The Hero laughed, a bit too high, and Shouta reached out touching the skin on the wrist available making the 'lie' of his quirk being touch active to dim that laugh until it was just a loud but more muted honey tone... Erm... Ignore that last bit.

"Sorry. Sorry... I can get way too excited." Present Mic beamed moving his wrist from Shouta's grip which was a light hold more than a tight constraining one. "Man you two would get along!"

Shouta sighed because that was true. He might get along with them, he might not. Usually not. Once he got the chance to talk to them after a mission, Shouta avoided killing in their bodies, he had the chance to talk to each of his 'others'. They all despised Shouta.

They all wanted death after what his family did to them. Shouta... was always a bit sad about this. He hid it, Shouta was wonderful at hiding things like this, but to know that in some form or another he was a disgusting 'trash heap' exclaimed by many of the alternate Aizawa Shouta's had lowered his self-esteem a great deal. It was why Shouta had so little care for himself as he once had in the past. It was a bit self discriminating in reality. The more Shouta's 'other selfs' brought him down the more Shouta himself felt down. Maybe that was why Shouta wasn't as bothered about being his brothers' sexual partner often. Or why he forgave just how badly he got hurt in some situations.

Or why Shouta loved being violated while being tied up and unable to do anything. Almost like a victim.

Damn it! This is why Shouta hated talking to Heroes! Shouta hated internally realizing how shitty his life was and Heroes did that because NEVER in his entire time jumping worlds, being Shouta's 'other selves', and trying to talk to them were they anything but Heroe, those who didn't know Shouta was a villain impersonating a hero for a wicked evil deed! Shouta himself had to imitate each person Shouta became and then learn they didn't see Shouta as anything more than 'shit' that could rot and die and they'd laugh happily. They'd laugh happily in a body not beaten up, not suffering much other than malnutrition... and happy to go on their way because they didn't' 'kill' the Aizawa Shouta's in their world, he didn't ruin their reputation and Shouta did his best to let them live their life normally. They weren't allowed to kill the person he impersonated because Mother and Father didn't allow that. There was a balance always at play at each universe they visited.

"Hey, Shouta, you alright?" Shouta blinked, lifting his head up where it was staring at his ice water for an obviously long time as the small puddle under it was obvious now. Shouta's scowl was deep pulling the edges down further than usual on the corners of his lips and his eyes felt dry but Shouta weakly nodded, "Kid, if you're not feeling good you can just tell me. I wouldn't mind walking you home."

That had Shouta almost tensing in fear but he forced relaxation on his shoulders and muscles, "No, no sorry just got lost in thought." Shouta lifted his head up, "Just what you said about me being similar to your 'Shouta'. I just can't picture that."

"Eh?" The Hero leaned in, "Why do you say that?"

"Well... I was adopted. From the records my parents have, it looked like it was from around this area of Japan." Shouta almost whispered this part remembering 'WHY' he was thrown into the system when he was a kid. WHY he suffered for two whole years bouncing around home to home. From abuse to abuse before being adopted. Shouta was a villain in all their eyes and Shouta couldn't figure out why in all the other worlds he was a Hero. Shouta really wanted to know yet those Heroes always repeated the same Mantra all others in his world said: 'You're a disgusting Villain, go kill yourself'.

"Wow, that's a coincidence." Shouta almost snorted at the Hero but he looked up, "Yeah, but I'm not that shocked. My quirk is 'weak' and stupid. A villainous one. Of course, I was given to the system." Giving a soft sigh he leaned back head falling as well to put a crank in his neck as Shouta looked up at the ceiling and Shouta just took in the diners old yellow plasterboards. "Hey, why don't you meet my friend!"

Shouta jumped his head snapping up to stare a bit dumbly at Present Mic, "Wha-?" because just how trusting does one stupid Hero have to be? A sob story, albeit real, got him willing to cough up Aizawa like a cat with a hairball? The hell was this Hero on!

"Yeah! Come on! I'll send him a quick message and we'll meet up at ..." Present Mic swiftly pulled out his phone and began to type like his life was on the line. Fingers flying across the touch screen in a blur, Present Mic's tongue poking out as he worked, and the grin on his face lighting up his eyes. Shouta was just confused. This world was more 'bright and cheery' than any he'd been to before.

Shouta didn't want to see the underworld now. Not if the opposite had to be equally dark to this bright light.

"He said he'll meet us at 'Pawfect Meowfee'." Present Mic smiled, "You like cats?"

Shouta didn't know. He never owned one, "No clue."

"Allergic?" Present Mic nervously asked.

"Wouldn't' know. Never been around them. They're Not exactly my family's favorite." This made the man laugh and nod with an understanding soft, and very adorable, smile.

... Present Mic was not adorable. Shouta really needed some sleep if he was thinking a Hero was 'cute'.
