Lilia stood high on top of her Drapion's head, hands gripping tightly onto her prized telescope, looking the starry sky. Despite the long session of star gazing, the giant scorpion held it's head steady and never sway in the slightest. He is, after all, Lilia's strongest Pokémon. Well, Her only Pokémon.

From below, Lilia heard a voice calling out to her.

"Lia… Let's go home and sleep already…" Wind yawned through his snout.

Wind is a Pokémon, yet he can talk, not telepathically like psychic-type does, but physically, just like humans. He somehow learns to do it.

Even with all the years they have been spending together, there are still many mysteries about Wind. On thing's for sure, he's special. It's not like he's extremely rare type of Pokémon… not mythical… but more like a unique, one of a kind… like legendary Pokémon?

Lia and Wind met on that stormy night. From the stone egg, he hatched. Flora and Entro found both of them unconscious near each other. It was dawn then, and the darkness had vanished.

To this day, six years later, the darkness was never seen again. The two gigantic bird and dragon Pokémon were nowhere to be seen either. Flora decided to keep Wind, and he ended up becoming great friends with Irene and Lilia.

Lilia gained and lost irreplaceable treasure that day. At least, she got one more friend now.

"Wait! Just a bit more…" Lilia waved one hand down towards the ground, telling her friends to stay.

"You said that… how many times again? It's been too many to count!"

"Ah, sorry, sorry. Where's Irene anyway?" She said that without taking her eyes off her telescope.

"She went home long ago."

In the dazzling starlit sky, a single star slowly fell down, drawing an arc in the night sky.

"She could've at least told me… I'm done here anyway." Lilia hopped down from the Drapion's head to its back and to the ground. Her platinum hair lifted off by the wind before falling back on her shoulder. Her topaz-colored eye contrasted with her light hair and skin, making it standing out even more.

In Starlia region, there's a legend about shooting stars. It goes, when a star's life is about to come to an end, it will drop down to the bottom of the sea and sleep there with other stars. That place is called Star's Bed. If you go there, you can regain thing lost, or even be reborn.

"A shooting star, huh? I heard if you make a wish to shooting star, it will come true." Wind noted.

Lilia smiled at him, like how people smile when small child does silly things. "You've got to know what's real and what's not, okay?"

"I don't like your smile." He pouted. Lilia thought it was cute, so she patted his wing.

Wind have wing. A wing. Only one. His wing sprouted from right side of his back. It was white with soft feather. The wing really stands out, not only because he's missing one wing, but also because bipedal feline Pokémon or humanoid Pokémon like him normally wouldn't have wings.

A soft wind blew by. Wind extends his wing, feeling the breeze rushing through the feathers. His fur rustles subtly. It was cut short by Antares, the Drapion, who walked past and blocked the wind.

"I wish for the star to turn back! Nothing happens, see?" Lilia grinned while Wind remained silent.

"Um… Lia… I think it's really coming this way…" He pointed at the glowing dot that's becoming bigger.

"Huh… I've never seen a star like that…" She was about to bring her telescope to her eyes when Wind shouted.

"Oh, it's just some fireball." Wind calmly stated.

"Wahhh! Antares! Do something!"

Antares proceed to spit ball of venom at the ball of fire. Both attacks clashed and exploded, spraying poison everywhere. Wind then used [Whirlwind] to stop the poison from spreading.

The one who attacked them stepped out from the darkness of the woods.

"You guys, we have to get up early tomorrow…"

Once out of the woods, Irene and her Drakloak became visible. Her blue eyes almost closed from the drowsiness.

"Oh no! Antares, an enemy! [Sludge Bomb]!" Lia ordered her Pokémon.

And said Pokémon proceed to smack her in the face with its tail then walked away. It wasn't strong enough to hurt her, but he made sure she felt something.

"See? Even Antares wants to sleep." Irene grabbed her friend and dragged her towards their house. Lilia, who was plotting to work Antares to death, complied without struggling.

"Antares said 'enough of your bullshit'." Wind translated for her. Even though Wind's translation is usually a lie or an exaggeration, this one isn't either of those.

They quietly walked home together. No sound of talking, only rustling grass and leaves. At some point, even Irene's grip on Lilia loosen. Finally, Lilia broke the silence.

"Rene… I think I'm going after all…"

"…Chasing after myth? I don't even see what can come out of it…"

"Irene, Do you remember how I was attacked by unknown monster long ago…?"

"…"

"What if it attacked again? Last time, even Entro couldn't do anything, you were lucky it chased after me, and I was lucky the dragon fought it off."

"It's not going to come back. Wind, help me out here." Irene turned to the talking Pokémon for help.

"…I've been thinking this for a long time, but I'm with Lia on this one, Rene. That same night Lia was attacked, I hatched from that stone…"

The so called 'stone egg', after inspection, turned out to be just a regular stone. It was not special in anyway. Just a huge piece of rock. How Wind came out of that rock was just as much mystery to him as everyone else. But that's why he wants to know so badly. Even more than anyone.

"You can understand… right, Rene…?" Wind whispered.

"I can sort of understand your feeling, I guess…" Irene replied.

That feeling of wanting to know your origin.

That feeling of wanting to solidify your sense of identity.

Irene, was an orphan. She was adopted by Flora from a very young age. Irene, herself, always felt like she was an odd one in the family. She asked her adoptive mother one day, and her adoptive mother just told her she was adopted, and that she loved her like a daughter. Irene wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing.

Still, she loved both Flora and Lilia very much (Wind and all others Pokémon as well). She still called Flora mom. Lilia herself didn't mind about this one bit, but Irene felt something had to change. She wanted to find out her real parents, but that alone isn't enough. She wanted to become someone special. Her adoptive mother was strong trainer, and she looked up to her. That's why she set her goal to become Pokémon trainer, and eventually become Pokémon league champion.

Lilia's goal was completely different, though.

"I want to find out why that happened that day. About the bird and dragon Pokémon. I want to know about that monster, what it is, what's it's weak to... Then, maybe, just maybe… I might be able to kill it… Kill that thing, yeah…"

She was ambitious. Exposing the truth of the myth and chasing legendary Pokémon, something others before her have tried and failed. The reason behind it wasn't anything noble or pure like Irene, but the goal itself was even more ambitious, and dangerous.

"Snap out of it." Irene pinched her friend's cheek so hard she winced. That made Lia calmed down. "There's very high chance your effort won't amount to anything. And if there's really something behind those legends, that could be dangerous, you know?"

"You're the one who suggest to go on a journey."

"To challenge gyms! Fighting gym leaders and legendary Pokémons are very different!"

"I have Antares. He's strong enough to get mom's approval."

"I'll even go with her. We have the same goal." Wind stepped forward.

Irene stared the two down. They stopped moving and just stand facing each other. Many breezes later, the air was getting cold.

"…I can't stop either of you…?"

Both Lia and Wind nodded slowly.

"It can't be helped… I'll go with you guys." Irene sighed.

"Really!? YAYYYYY!" Wind celebrated instantly and high five with Lilia.

"We still have to take gym challenge, okay?"

"Whatever! Ahahaha! What suddenly made you change your mind?" Lilia closed in and crush Irene in her hug. Wind joined in, too. Irene's Drakloak pushed them out after a while, though.

"I can't let you guys recklessly charge into something like that, okay?"

""And? And? And?"" The two chanted together.

"…Don't make me say it…"

""Come on! Come on! Come on!""

"…And I'll feel left out if you go without me…" Her cheeks were colored with a tiny pint of pink.

Wind and Lia thought it was cute as hell.
