In the White House; President AP was sitting in his office when his Vice President Joey Felt entered.
The president noticed it.
"Any good news?" said AP.
"Nope, your poles took a big drop because of your impeachment trial." said Joey.
AP groaned.
"Typical, this is why you never hire a house speaker who is jealous of you." said AP.
"No duh. Doesn't help that we're from Canada and that only US born citizens can become president." said Joey.
AP nodded.
"But I don't understand, I've been a good president and you a good Vice President." said AP.
"True that." said Joey.
"How am I going to get my aproval numbers up so that I can do another term in office?" said AP, "I'll need someone to paint me in a great light to the public."
Then Pauline Bell barged into the office.
"I couldn't help but overhear, I may know who you can get to help you out." said Pauline.
The two looked at Pauline.
"Who?" said Joey.
"How about that blue hedgehog who hangs out with Meek from time to time whose awesome film I just saw." said Pauline.
AP became shocked.
"Sonic?" AP said before scoffing, "Forget it, I'm talking about making me good, not having someone take the spotlight from me."
"Why would he be good to bring AP's numbers up?" said Joey.
"Because he had a brief stint as student body president of his school, and during that short time, he managed to boost morale by making school work be done on iPads, every student got high fives from their school mascot, and had a vending machine that dispenses milkshakes and smoothies installed." said Pauline.
AP nodded.
"Very well." He said, "Bring him to the White House immedietly."
"Yes Mr President." said Joey.
He and Pauline walked off.
"And make sure the driver doesn't put a scratch on the limo." said AP.
Meanwhile with Sonic; he was sleeping on a tree branch when Gwen appeared.
She knocked on the tree.
This caused Sonic to wake up and fall on Gwen.
The two were groaning and looked at each other to see that Sonic was on top of Gwen.
"You know, you should really stop doing that." said Sonic.
"I know." said Gwen.
He got off Gwen and looked at her.
"What is it you want anyways?" said Sonic.
"Just wondering when you'll be home is all." said Gwen.
"Soon." He said, "Unless someone calls me to the White House."
Then a limo with tiny American flags on the front appeared before stopping.
"Huh, what a coincidence." said Sonic.
The back door opened up; revealing Joey and Pauline were sitting in it.
"Get in." said Joey.
"Isn't there a law about getting into cars with strangers?" said Sonic.
Joey groaned.
"Just get in here, the president wants you." said Joey.
"Look, as much as I want to help out the president of the United States of America, I've got things to do and-"Sonic said before being interrupted by Pauline.
"We've got a portable hot dog cooker and some chili." said Pauline.
"I could reschedule all those things and see what the puppet wants." said Sonic.
He got into the limo.
Gwen became confused.
She shrugged it off and entered as well before the limo drove off.
Later at the White House; Sonic and Gwen entered the oval office and sat down at two seperate couches.
The two looked around.
"Huh, not what I was picturing." said Gwen.
"It's the White House, what'd you expect?" said Sonic.
"You know the great thing about living in the biggest house at the nations capital?" said a familiar voice.
The two became shocked and looked at the desk as a chair turned around, revealing President AP was sitting at it.
"Everytime someone destroys something, I'm not the one paying for the damages, it's congress or the house of representatives who're paying for it." said AP.
Sonic sighed.
"If this is about your bed being replaced by a portable grill, I had nothing to do with that. All I did was place an order for one, someone must have got our orders mixed up." said Sonic.
AP raised an eyebrow.
"Huh?" said AP.
"Nevermind." said Sonic, "Why'd you summon me?"
"I need your help boosting my approval numbers." said AP.
Sonic nodded.
"Okay, but why?" said Sonic, "It's only March, and you don't have much to worry about till November."
"They're down as a result of my impeachment trial." said AP, "Also, have you seen any of the candidates for the democratic party?"
He pulled out a remote and pushed a button on it, showing a video of Atomic Puppet and Nuclear Kid fighting a giant monster.
"The president and his VP are superheroes, they're in office because the previous president looked to much like Donald Trump. But what happens when the heroes who try to protect us turn against us." a voice said before it changed to a picture of the two heroes looking evil and surrounded by fire.
Sonic and Gwen became shocked.
"Jesus." said Gwen.
"America needs a man who won't turn against anyone and cares about the people." said the same voice before showing a picture of an elderly looking man looking on over a hill followed by the words Calandam 2020.
"I'm Caladam Bender and I approve this message. And I'm not doing this because I'm upset about some superheroes ruining a birthday party I had when I was six years old." the same voice said before AP turned the TV off.
"What do you think?" said AP.
"He's corrupt." said Sonic.
"Totally. He basically just admitted to a childish reason for hating superheroes." said Gwen.
"Something seemed familiar about that." said Sonic, "But where?"
"Maybe the Muppets?" asked AP.
"No, that guy had lost his sense of humor." said Gwen, "This guy might be upset because one of the superheroes destroyed his cake."
"Yeah probably." said Sonic.
"Anyways, I need Sonic to run my campaign rally so that my numbers boost and everyone forgets about my impeachment trial." said AP.
Gwen nodded.
"Okay, looks like we'll be here for a while." said Gwen.
"Well for starters, we'd better find your VP and tell him the good news." said Sonic.
He ran out of the office.
The hedgehog appeared at a door and opened it up only to become shocked by what he saw.
It was Joey and Pauline making out in a coat room.
He then closed the door without the two noticing.
"As if walking in on Eda in a hot tub with Hermit wasn't bad enough, now I nearly walk in to see a proven fan theory on the short lived show Atomic Puppet." said Sonic.
Gwen appeared.
"You find him?" said Gwen.
"Nope." said Sonic.
Gwen was confused.
"Seriously?" said Gwen.
Sonic then slipped a red tie on the door handle without Gwen noticing.
"Of course I am." said Sonic.
