Chapter 2: Getting Settled
"How is this one?" Whitespot meowed. Whitespot was looking forward to training Featherpaw. She is eager to learn. He thought.
"This is the one." Featherpaw meowed as she padded into her new den. "Not too much room, but not too little. It is packed in enough so no rain will leak through. All we need now is moss! Where do we get moss?" Featherpaw meowed.
"Just pass the highrock, you will see a big oak tree, By the oak tree there are lots of fallen trees with tons of moss. Make sure to grab dry moss and shake it so you aren't sleeping with bugs and ticks." he told her "That isn't fun, trust me." He meowed cautiously. As they padded toward the highrock, Beechstar walked up to them.
"How is the training going?" He asked.
"We were just about to get moss for her den." Whitespot told him.
"Have you shown her the borders yet?" Beachstar asked.
"Not yet, we were planning to do that tomorrow." Whitespot meowed as Featherpaw walked behind the highrock.
"Better catch up with her! Only StarClan will know how far she will wander!" Beechstar meowed jokingly. Whitespot nodded and ran to Featherpaw. As he went behind the highrock, Featherpaw walked right into him with a mouthful of moss.
"Sorry Whitespot, I couldn't see." Featherpaw meowed.
"It's alright." Whitespot meowed. "You should have seen my first day of being an apprentice!" He giggled a little. He helped Featherpaw gather all of the moss and walked to her den. They placed all of the moss and Featherpaw laid on her new bedding.
"It is really comfortable!" Featherpaw meowed.
"You've done a lot today. Grab something from the prey pile and rest up. Tomorrow is a big day. We go hunting, I show you the border, and I teach you some fighting moves." Whitespot meowed.
"I can't wait!" Featherpaw meowed. "See you tomorrow!"
