So... I actually decided to expand a bit more on this story as a bit of practice for me. I recently got back into Steven Universe and decided to use my extra free time to write more of this. I may finish the fanfiction, I may not. Whatever the case, here's the second chapter, and here's hoping that I'll have the motivation to write a few more.

As soon as Connie had left his line of sight, Steven calmed down. Sitting down on the sand, his pink self faded, and his skin returned to its original color. He took in a few deep breaths and thought. He really did just beat Connie into a pulp and sent her off. Well, he did heal her, at least. But he felt that he might've gone too far. But at the same time, there was stress behind those actions. All that pain and worried just manifested itself into pink fury. Thinking back on the rightfulness of his actions, he was brought back into reality when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned his head and got to his feet.
It was Garnet.
Staring at him in silence, Garnet gestured for Steven to follow her. Understanding, he got up, and they started their walk home side by side. It wasn't that far but Steven felt like he had to break the silence.
"I don't get it. Ruby and Sapphire said I should go for it."
"You can't trust love advice from those two hopeless romantics." Garnet replied.
"Then why didn't you stop me?" He asked.
"There wasn't a future where you didn't hurt Connie." She replied once again. After that, Steven just stared at her. How could she be so calm when she knew all along that he would lay a hand on her. Surely she would've disciplined him, or became angry with him. But no. They continued walking up until they reached the steps to their house.
"Can- can we stay out here and talk?" He pleaded, hoping he could explain himself in the rare case that Garnet was angry at him.
"I don't see anything wrong with that."
And there they sat on the steps, staring at the night sky for a few moments before Garnet interrupted.
"You know how hurt Connie is." she started. "Not just physically but mentally too. You pressured her into marriage, and when she rejected your advances, you decided that hurting her was the best way to relieve your anger."
"I know," Steven said softly, looking at the ground. "I just wasn't thinking, and the next second I just had some... freakout, I guess." He rubbed his fist with his other hand.
"You have to apologize. Maybe she will forgive you." She suggested, turning to the boy and putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Maybe? Can't you tell me if she will or not?" he replied, getting a little annoyed. If she can see the future, why won't she use it to help him?
"Maybe. But it all depends on how you will apologize."
"Then tell me how to apologize!" He yelled out, his skin quickly flickering to a brighter shade of pink. Getting up, he turned to look at her.
"That is for you to decide." Garnet replied, her face remaining blank.
"Grrr, you're no help!" Steven screamed, his body now completely pink. "Why don't you make things easier for me?! You, of all people, should know what I'm going through!"
Hearing the commotion, Pearl and Amethyst open the front door to see what is going on. Noticing the two other gems watching him, he gets furious.
"And why do you two have to be in my business! Can't I ever have privacy?!"
"Woah, little dude." Amethyst interjected. "We just wanna know if anything happened."
"No! Nothing happened. Now leave us alone please. I'm still talking to Garnet." He yelled back, trying to calm down.
"I think I've heard enough, Steven. You have to learn how to deal with your anger issues." Garnet said, finally standing up. "We can't have you hurting anybody else."
"Wait, did Steven... hurt someone?" Pearl finally asked, confused from Steven's clearly furious state. Not only that, but she couldn't take her eyes off of Steven's glowing pink form.
Before anyone could say anything else, Steven yelled at the top of his lungs. Great, now everyone is going to know what he did, and he'll be labeled an out of control maniac! Thanks, Garnet, for not keeping your mouth shut. And thank you too, Pearl and Amethyst, for always butting into everyone's business.
Steven's scream made everything fall silent. They were all staring at him. Pearl's hand was covering her mouth, Amethysts was agape, and Garnet simply had her eyebrows raised in surprise.
His chest was rising and falling fast from the heavy breathing he was doing. His fists were clenched and held up, sweat beading down his face, and his eyes staring daggers at the three gems who did nothing to help.
And then he ran.
He didn't know what gave him the sudden burst of energy to just run away from home, but he did. He ran as fast as he could, as if he could just run from all his pain and anger. His legs burned and his lungs were taking in breath after breath as he carried himself onwards.
He stopped when he thought he was far enough, finally doubling over in exhaustion and passing out in a grassy clearing.
Unbeknownst to him, a tall, muscular orange gem picked up his unconscious body and took him with her.
