Chapter 2
Luffy and Zoro are sailing towards Orange town, taking the time to get to know each other.
"I'm glad you can navigate because I have no idea how to" Zoro says eating an apple.
"Oh so how have you been travelling around east blue" Luffy asks his first mate having read of Zoro's exploits
"I originally came out to sea to find a certain man. But I got lost and had to hunt pirates for bounty to survive. I have just been wondering around." Zoro answers him
Laughing at Zoro luffy says "Oh I get it you're an idiot"
"Oi" Zoro says irritated
"Sorry, sorry" Luffy starts to calm down from his fit of laughter. "Well while I have basic navigational skills, we still need to find someone who specializes in it. Besides that we need a doctor, a cook, a shipwright, a musician…"
"Huh why a musician?"
"Cuz pirates gotta sing Zoro" Luffy responds getting a blank stare from Zoro
"Oh a bird" Zoro points up above them
"Good some meat" luffy says pointing towards the bird. Tobu Shigan. Delivering a headshot.
"Oh you have impressive sniping skills there captain. Zoro says impressed as the bird falls dead into their boat
Taking out a knife to defeather it Luffy responds "yeah kinda, when I was preparing for my journey I trained and mastered as many skills as I could for combat. As well as the basics for survival."
"Hey help us stop your boat!" some men in the sea yell at them
"Looks like some people stranded at sea captain" Zoro says
"Yeah we're relatively close to orange town so maybe they just sank fishing or something" turning to them luffy shouts "We aren't going to stop when we pass by climb on board" luffy begins to row the boat towards them
"Heh. Your climbing skills aren't bad" Zoro says to the three pirates
Drawing for their weapons they turn on the captain and his first mate. "Hey stop the boat, this is the pirate buggy-sama's territory" the leader says
"What?" a pissed off zoro asks
A short beating later
"Hohoho, we didn't know you were 'pirate-hunter zoro' and his captain. We're really sorry" the now three beaten pirates apologize as they row the boat in the direction of orange town.
"Why are you three in the middle of the ocean" Luffy asks them
"Well you see the three of us just finished robbing a ship and on the way back…"
Flash back starts
"Wahahaha, so much treasure"
"Who would have thought such a small ship would carry so much loot"
"Maybe buggy-sama will greatly reward us"
"Hmm what's that little boat doing there?" one of the three buggy pirates ask
"There' someone fainted at the side of that boat" they sail closer to the boat
"Oh it a girl?"
"Hey what's wrong are you almost dead?"
"Ahh, am I dreaming. I actually found someone in this vast ocean." The girl says looking faint. "I don't know who you guys are but please give me a cup of water. And if it's convenient please provide me a small piece of bread, I was in a shipwreck. If you want money I'll give it to you" she says points to a chest in here boat
"Sure we'll save ya"
"But can we see that treasure chest first?"
"Sure please take whatever you want, but please give me water first" the girl responds
"What's your hurry let me take a look at the treasure first"
"Yeah we'll save you don't worry"
"Since you guys seem to like it so much I'll give you the boat too as a bonus" she says now smiling on their boat
"Ah that woman took our treasure and our ship"
"Hey this chest is empty" they shout upon realizing the girl's deception
"There's a bit of dark clouds towards the south. Found a cloud approaching, the storm following, the wind will pick up and then that boat will sink. Bingo" the girl shouts as everything goes according to plan
Flashback ends
"And that's what happened, terrible huh?" the leader asks them
"It would take masterful levels of navigational ability to do something like that" Luffy tells zoro
"Yeah I wonder if she'd join us" Zoro responds
"Shishishi that's the plan, let's see what kind of person she is" Luffy turns to the buggy pirate trio. "Oi what does she look like" he asks them
"Uh she has orange hair, a white shirt with blue lines and orange shorts"
"Yeah and she is cute" they reply
"We gotta find her before going back to buggy-sama"
"Who's buggy" Zoro interrupts them
"He's our Captain, Haven't you heard about Buggy the Clown? He is a man who has eaten a devil fruit" the leader answers
"Devil fruit?" Zoro says
Seeing the shore Luffy gets up walks over to the three "well thank you for the information" he says before throwing them into the water.
"That's dirty" they yell in the distance
"Orange town has nearest port around so if we're lucky she went there to dock. I'll explain the devil fruits while we dock" Luffy says to zoro getting a nod from him
Orange Town
"I can't believe things like that really exist" Zoro says as he and Luffy walk down the streets of orange town
"I know it defies logic but they definitely exist I encountered one when I was a kid." Luffy says when suddenly an orange haired girl comes running around the corner, bumping into him, with three pirates chasing her.
"Oh 'boss' you're finally here, I've been waiting for you to save me" the girl says to luffy
Looking her over luffy sees that she matches the description perfectly as well as a map in her hand. "Yeah sorry for keeping you waiting" he responds with smile shocking her. She tries to run off but luffy quickly grabs her hand stopping her movement. "Now that you're 'boss' is here just sit back and relax"
"So you're her boss huh? How dear you steal from captain buggy" they shout charging luffy.
Seeing that Zoro has his hand on his katana luffy signals for him to wait. As quickly as the pirates reached Luffy was as quickly as they were beaten to the floor.
"Wow you're really strong, you beat those guys with swords bare-handed" the girl exclaims behind Zoro
"Shishishi thanks, I'm Monkey D. Luffy and this is Roronoa Zoro, who may you be" Luffy asks politely.
"I am a thief who only steals treasure from pirates, my name is Nami want to be partners?" she asks
With a smile luffy responds "Yeah let's find a place to talk?"
Later in a house
"I see so that pirate buggy has plundered this entire village" Luffy says
"Yeah and this map I took from him leads you to the grand line. My goal is to get a hundred million beli so I can buy back a certain village. You guys are strong if we team up I could use your power to steal even more treasure from pirates there" Nami tells them
"We are going to the grand line as well" Zoro tells her
"Nami you wouldn't happen to be a navigator would you?" Luffy asks
"Of course I am the best navigator in the east blue. When it comes to navigation not many people know more about it than I do, especially since I love sea." Nami boasts
Luffy looks to zoro and nods, which Zoro returns. "Well come sail with us, Nami join my pirate crew." Luffy says with a smile
"Pirate!? No way!" Nami yells "Never mind since you're a pirate I don't want to join your crew" Pausing she looks at zoro. "But I don't understand why is 'pirate-hunter' apart of a pirate's crew?" she asks him
"Well he helped me out of a bad situation and now I'm his first mate. It's pretty interesting" zoro tells her with a smirk
"Listen Nami you said you are a thief who steals from pirates?" Luffy takes off his hat and looks down at it "ages ago a friend gave this hat to me, and I swore to become strong and gather up a strong crew to defeat him" he says putting it back on his head "This hat is my most precious treasure"
As luffy finishes Nami starts at him he doesn't seem like a blood thirsty pirate. "Hmph pirates this, pirates that, people these days. The things I hate most in this world are pirates! But I love money and tangerines!" she shouts losing her cool again
"Money huh? Well we're going to take down buggy and take his treasure for ourselves. But if you join us we'll give you 50% if you team up with us, more like partners" Luffy says causing Nami to pause and Zoro to look at him
I can agree to team up with them for now and then wait for my chance to take all their treasure for myself. Nami plans "Okay sure it's a deal, so how do you plan to take out buggy?" Nami asks
"Are you sure about this Luffy" Zoro asks getting a strange vibe from Nami
"Of course Zoro, I'll trust her until she proves otherwise" Luffy tells him. "An all-out frontal assault, you mentioned that he has a cannon that can wipe out a street in one shot? I want to push him to use it. I want to see it for myself" luffy says getting up. "Zoro and I will deal with the heavy hitters while you take care of the small fry."
"Now wait I didn't say I would fight" Nami protests following them outside the house.
"Well given that you have been stealing from pirates and are able to outrun them I would say you can at least defend yourself. If you don't agree to help then the partnership is off, don't worry if we see you in trouble we'll step in right away. So what will it be Nami?" Luffy stares at her
"Fine" Nami grumbles promising herself to take them for everything they have
"Welcome to the crew" Zoro teases her
"I'm not part of your crew!" Nami shouts making luffy laugh as they walk to buggy's location.
Buggy's base
"What! You lost track of that map thief? You three strong men chase after one thief and end up like this!?" Buggy screams outraged
"We're really sorry captain, but there was a really strong guy with her he was her boss and he wore a straw hat" the pirates make excuses
"Die a painful death" Buggy screams
"Pirate Captain Buggy I have come for the rest of your treasure!" Luffy shouts at the top of his voice
"Huh who is that" Buggy asks looking down at luffy from his rooftop
"Captain Buggy those are the people we were telling you about" His subordinates tell him
Seeing his appearance Luffy continues to shout "Oi red noise I am talking to you"
"Whose noise are you calling red?" Buggy shouts back him "Boys prepare the "Buggy special cannonball! Give these bastards a flashy death" Buggy orders his men as they bring a canon around and load it with a cannonball that has the his Jolly Roger painted on it
"Oi Zoro get ready to move out of the way let's see what they got" Luffy orders
"Aye Captain"
"What are you doing what do you mean move out of the way? That's a cannon you can't out run it!" Nami screams at luffy
"Stay close Nami" Luffy commands "Oi red noise you think a little cannon ball is going to save you" Luffy baits buggy
"Alright show them it power!" a ticked off buggy commands as he men fire the cannon ball at trio below them
*Boom!* As the cannon fires Zoro goes right and luffy grabs Nami and goes left avoiding the impact. Turning around they witnessed the devastation of the cannon ball. It had reduced a dozen houses to ruble far more powerful than any normal canon ball. Upon seeing the destruction Nami what heavily sweating, Zoro had his mouth open, and luffy after getting over his shock smiled.
"Zoro we are definitely taking those cannon balls" Luffy says putting Nami down
"Captain Buggy they are still alive" one of Buggy men reports
"You idiots did you miss? Whatever go down there and kill them flashily!" Buggy orders his men as they draw their weapons and charge
"Get ready Zoro, remember to look out for Nami" Zoro nods. Luffy sees Nami still on the floor staring at the destruction from the Buggy ball "Nami, they are coming, they did this to the people of the village, get up and channel whatever you are feeling into taking them out. Don't worry about injury we are here trust us" Luffy says snapping Nami out of her stupor.
As the pirates charge Zoro runs forward ready for action and beings to slice them up. "Oi zoro don't hog all the fun" Luffy says leaping in the middle of a group of six pirate. He elbows one caving in his temple, kicks another breaking his leg, lashes out with another kick to the ribs of a different pirate launching him into a build, head butts pirate number four, two punches knocks out five and six.
Nami seeing luffy and zoro go through over two dozen pirates in moments leaves her in shock. They're so strong, I can understand zoro living up to his reputation but where was this guy all along?
"Oi let's get that girl, she looks like the weak one in their group" one of the buggy pirates suggest prompting a group of five to rush Nami. Reaching slightly under her shorts she takes out three segmented pieces of a staff and combines them. Swinging she hits one on the side of the head as the others dodge. A pirate that jumped to dodge her swing brings down his cutlass in a cleaving strike forcing Nami to bring up her staff to guard leaving her open. Looking to her left she sees a pirate point a pistol ready to shoot her. Before anyone could react luffy appeared next to said pirate with a punch to the head nearly killing him. Speeding pass Nami he knocks out another pirate.
"Good job Nami, continue" Luffy says leaving the other two to her.
"Captain Buggy we can't beat them, that is pirate hunter zoro" one of the pirates scream
"Oh have you come for my head Roronoa Zoro, if I kill you my name will become even more famous" Buggy approaches Zoro
Glancing over to Luffy, Zoro receives a nod. With a smirk Zoro rushes buggy and cuts him in three with little resistance.
"He died really easily" Zoro says looking at buggy's now segmented body.
Looking around Luffy noticed that the few buggy pirates remaining were laughing. Then looking at buggy's body he sees no blood.
"Time to finish this up, though it's weird you guys should be worried your captain just got cut down" Zoro says with his back turn to buggy.
Suddenly one of buggy's hands, grasping a knife, launches towards Zoro. Feet away from piercing Zoro's back Luffy brings his foot down on the hand, shocking everyone.
"So his devil fruit power allows him to separate and use his body huh?" luffy says releasing pressure on the hand as it flies back to a now standing buggy.
"Hehe you did pretty well catching on so quickly" Buggy compliments Luffy
"Captain allow us to deal with them" says Beast Trainer Mohji – the vice-captain of the buggy's pirates riding his beast lion Richie, and Cabaji the Acrobat the commander of the buggy pirates.
"Oh you two huh? Sure give them painful deaths" Buggy allows
Coming up behind luffy was a Nami covered in cuts and bruises. "Oh Nami you did it good job Shishishi" luffy laughs
"What kind of partner are you making me fight those last two by myself" Nami shouts irritated
"The kind that wants strong crew members" Luffy replies as if it's the simplest thing in the world
"Who says I want to be monsters like you guys and who said I was a part of your crew" Nami continues shouting
"Enough of this I'll avenge the pain you've caused to my crew buggy's pirate fleet commander Cabaji the Acrobat" Cabaji exclaims charging forward towards luffy on his unicycle with a saber in hand. As he approaches to thrust at luffy, zoro steps in and blocks the attack with one of his blades.
"If it's swords I'm all for it" Zoro replies
"It's an honor Roronoa Zoro as a swordsman I get to slay you" A confident Cabaji retorts
"Zoro you take care of the cycle guy and the man with his pet lion over there, I'll deal with buggy" Luffy says
"Aye captain" Zoro smirks
"Nami get back the real fighting is about to begin" Luffy says only to find Nami already missing. "It's just you and me now red noise" Luffy turns to buggy
"Who are you calling red noise you bastard!" Buggy yells taking out his knives "Cabaji, Moji I will kill this flashy bastard" Buggy concludes
Zoro vs Cabaji, Mohji and Richie
"Oi Cabaji don't hog all the fun" Mohji says coming up next to them riding Richie
Seeing Zoro look over to his vice-captain Cabaji spits fire in Zoro's face "Acrobat Technique Fire Trick"
"Get him Richie" Mohji yells seeing Zoro jump back to avoid the fire. With a Roar the Lion raises it paw and brings it down intending to maul Zoro.
Bringing up his sword Zoro stops the attack dead in midair surprising everyone apart from luffy. "Hmph you're going to want to get off that Lion to have a chance at beating me" he says to Mohji
"Acrobat Technique Murder Mist Trick" Cabaji rapidly swings his cutlass in a circular motion against the ground raising a smokescreen
"Some trick it's just a cloud of dust" Zoro says as the three enemies hide in the cloud. Out the cloud Cabaji jumps out intending to cleave Zoro in half, Richie has his paw in the air to hit clobber Zoro, and Mohji has his whip extended halfway to Zoro's location. Quickly Zoro aims for the beast tamer and his pet lion. With two slashes and a punch to the skull Mohji welcomes unconsciousness, immediately he appears in front of the lion and downs it with three slashes.
"Roronoa Zoro, go to the next world. Acrobat Technique One Hundred Tops Typhoon" Cabaji yells in rage throwing spinning tops at Zoro "Acrobat Technique Wall Riding" he begins to climb the side of a build as zoro easily cuts up the tops. "Acrobat Technique Midsummer Fire Crackers Ignition: Direct Stab" Cabaji says ready to bring down his sword on Zoro using the momentum from the descent of height to generate power
"Enough of this, I'm tired of fighting people with such pitiful skills." Zoro says preparing his attack
"Then let me finish you off with real sword skills" Cabaji yells as he gets closer to Zoro
Timing Cabaji Zoro brings his swords up "Oni Giri" he slashes Cabaji with his three swords drawing blood from each slash
"Damn it the world's best pirate at the likes of a common thief so shameful" Cabaji laments as he falls
"Not a common thief but pirates" Zoro says looking down on him
Buggy vs Luffy
"You mean you guys are pirates?" Buggy asks luffy
"Yeah we are heading to the grand line" Luffy answers
"So that's why you stole the map, that place isn't exactly somewhere nameless pirates like yourself can go as they please. So what are you planning to do there you wanna go have a sight-seeing tour?" Buggy ridicules luffy
"I'm gonna become the pirate king" Luffy answers with a straight face, shocking Buggy and Nami who after gathering the Buggy pirates' treasure was hiding behind a building watching the fights
"Don't kid around you idiotic fool, you become the pirate king? Then I'm a god! The person who'll get his hands on all the treasure in the world will be me don't even dream about it!" Buggy shouts
"Why don't you try and stop me then buggy!" Luffy challenges
"Seeing your straw hat reminds me of a guy I knew a long time ago, that impudent red haired guy" an annoyed buggy says
"Ohh you know shanks?" luffy asks Then again which pirate doesn't' know shanks, he has been famous for a long time
"If I know then I know, and if I don't know then I could also not know anything at all" Buggy answers slyly
"Oh so you're an idiot" Luffy says riling up buggy
"You're the idiot you saw that cutting attacks don't work on me, you won't even get close." Buggy retorts stomping his feet revealing there to be blades in the tip of his shoes
"Maybe I saw what I saw and if I did then I saw it or maybe I didn't see what I saw and if I didn't then I didn't see anything at all." Luffy responds with a smirk
"Hmph flashy bastard Bara-Bara Windmill" Buggy launches the lower half of his body in a spinning motion towards luffy.
Dodging out of the way luffy sends several Rankyaku that separates buggy's head from his body, slices his head vertically in two, horizontally separates his upper body isolating his chest cavity and cuts his heart in half. He jumps back to observe.
"What are you doing you butcher!" Buggy screams putting himself back together this guy is too fast and what the fuck where those are blades. Does he have swords in his feet?
"Oi Zoro did you see that? He doesn't feel any pain, or bleed, and vital strikes don't even slow him down. Shishishi this is interesting" Luffy turns to Zoro while pointing at Buggy
"Ah yeah" Zoro says a bit taken a back himself
"That means he is not healing, and he can separate and put himself back together infinitely. It's like he is ignoring reality when it comes to cutting attacks. I would guess that thrusting attacks are also useless due to its connection to bladed weapons."
"Kuhahaha of course I ate the Bara-Bara no mi, although I'm surprised you figured it out so quickly. That's why you attacked with slashing techniques huh to figure out how my power works " Buggy says
"Hmph If I did then I did but If I didn't then I never did" Luffy says causing Buggy to seethe, Zoro to laugh, and Nami behind that certain building to smile a little but worry inside.
This is a crazy fight, he is up against that monster and overpowering him, but at the same time making fun of Buggy. Also I thought he was just another pirate but he is smart, in one action confirm what he needed about buggy's power accurately. And those moves he's using I've never seen anything like them before did he also eat a devil fruit... He's like a monster. I can't carelessly take from these guys
"Die flashily bastard Bara-Bara Cannon" Buggy launches his left hand, with knives between his fingers, at luffy's head. Slightly moving his head to the side luffy dodges the move but hears the sound of a tear in his hat.
Taking off his hat luffy sees the small tear and instantly the environment changes as luffy's eye gain a sinking darkness. "How dare you mess up my treasure" Luffy says in a leveled yet menacing tone.
I thought he was the type of guy who wouldn't get bother by anything but now it feels like I'm face to face with a deadly beast. Nami thinks breaking out in a sweat. What made it worst for her was Luffy's towering and athletic stature making him look similar to a certain monster she hates.
"Try and protect it then" Buggy says as it brings his detached hand back around intending on skewering the hat.
Moving out of the way completely Luffy makes another observation "So you can also change the trajectory of your detached parts mid-flight. You messed up shank's hat this 'fight' is over" Luffy tells him
"So that's shank's hat I thought it looked familiar. That bastard ruin my plans" Buggy goes on to tell luffy the story between he and shanks.
"I don't care, Soru…" Luffy begins as he moves so fast no one in the area can keep track of him and appears in front of buggy "go to sleep pirate captain Buggy" He says cocking a fist back
"Bara-Bara Festival" Buggy separates his entire body out of desperation to avoid any hits
Grabbing his neck Luffy starts to squeeze choking him "Looks like you either can't or forgot to separate your neck from your head idiot. It's also good to know your body can still feel pain separated."
"Bastard Bara-Bara Cannon" Buggy sends his bladed limbs at luffy hopping to hit him.
Letting go luffy moves out of the way of the knives as buggy catches his breath. Suddenly he speeds over to buggy again and collides his fist into buggy's temple almost knocking him out. "I'm wasting too much time on you" Luffy says
"You bastard wait till I put myself bac-" Buggy is cut off as kick to the side of his detached head sends it threw a building and buggy into unconsciousness.
"Idiot" Luffy says as the air around him shifts back to normal. Looking around luffy starts to gather up the body's dismembered parts and ties them up. "I can't believe devil fruit powers work even when the user is unconscious" Finding a cannon luffy shoves them in it and launches them into the sky.
"Oi luffy what are you doing" Zoro asks
"He'll wake up in less than an hour if he really was on the same crew as shanks. He has to work for his body back, for messing up my hat." He answers "Nami you can come out now" Luffy looks towards her
He knew where I was the whole time and never gave any hints of that. Nami thinks feeling cautious of Luffy as she steps out He feels different now though. "Good job partners, I got their treasure these two bags are worth about ten million together" She says happily hugging one of the bags
"Shishishi good job Nami as agreed you can keep fifty percent." Luffy says picking up the other bag. Walking into the buggy hideout luffy comes out a few minutes later with three crates of Buggy Cannon balls "So would you like to stay with us?" Luffy asks handing a create to Zoro
"Yeah you guys are strong and I could make a lot more money with you two around. I guess it can't be helped, I'll accompany you for now" Nami answers and Luffy smiles turning around to head back to the harbor.
"Wait!" an old man in tan armor and a spear shouts stopping them. "I was watching everything that happened from a building other there." He slightly bows his head with tears streaming down his face. "As the chief of this village I thank you for saving us!" he says gratefully
"Shishishi don't thank us old man just live as best as you can from now on" Luffy says as they walk to the port with Nami staring at him in something akin to awe.
On the sea outside of Orange town
Luffy, Zoro, and Nami are together in a boat Nami took from the buggy pirates.
"Luffy where is your treasure.?" She asks him
"I left it at the harbor" He tells her
"Why did you do that?" Nami comically asks, alarmed she grabs a seated luffy by the collar
"Because Buggy destroyed their town, they need all the help they can get to rebuild" Luffy answers simply causing Zoro to look up surprised and start to laugh
"That was my treasure you idiot, the next time you do that I'll kill you, what kind of pirate gives treasure to a village to help it out any?" Nami asks shaking luffy and screaming
"Shishishi that was our cut of the treasure remember Nami? And as a pirate I get to choose who I want to be and what my actions are. Besides you'll have to get a lot stronger if you want to kill me Nami." Luffy answers laughing causing Zoro to laugh even harder seeing him out smart Nami
"What you're laughing? Shut up!" She punches Zoro on the head
"It doesn't hurt" Zoro replies stoically
"Shishishi come on Nami show us your skills direct us to Syrup Village in the Gecko Islands" Luffy pointing out towards the sea
Port at Syrup Village
"Why did you want to come to this small village luffy?" Nami asks him
"When I was young I meet an awesome sniper and he told me his son was in this village, I'm going to recruit him" Luffy answers as they get closer to land
"We're going to need a better ship if we're headed to the grand line." Nami reminds him
"Yeah I hope there is someone who can sell us a ship here" Luffy says as they dock their boat
"How are you going to buy a ship without money luffy?" Nami asks concerned about his answer
"Who said I have no money?" Putting his leather bag on his back luffy points at it. "On my way to recruit Zoro I beat this pirate and took her treasure, unless all the ships here are over one million beli I think we'll be fine" Luffy finishes as they disembark.
"By the way, I've been kind of wondering. Who are they?" Zoro asks pointing towards four people
"Hey wait don't just run away" A long noise teen shouts at three fleeing children
"Ahh they saw us!" the children scream running away
"I am Usopp, head of a huge pirate fleet and ruler of this village. My people and servants heap praises upon their captain's name, the great captain Usopp." The boy shouts putting on a false bravado. "If you're thinking of attacking the town think again, my eighty million followers cannot be stopped!"
"You're lying" Nami flatly calls him out
"Ahh busted" Usopp screams holding his head
"Shishishi calm down we aren't here to hurt you or the village. You are Usopp son of Yasopp right?" Luffy asks him
"Huh? Yeah how did you know?" he asks luffy
"I'll tell you over a meal. I take it your village has a restaurant?" Luffy suggests
Village Restaurant
"What you want me to be your crew member?" Usopp asks surprised
"Yup and a huge ship" Luffy answers biting into a large chuck of meat as Zoro is drinking sake and Nami is having a certain beverage
"Wow what a great adventure, but why me just because you knew my dad?" Usopp continues
"Well partly, your dad is one of the best snipers in the world, you should have inherited some if not all of that natural talent. With a lot of hard work you'll be able to surpass him. Besides that you need to be a decent person" Luffy finishes as Nami stares at him

"Well we don't have any big sailing ships or anything here, but if there's a ship I know the one place that'll have it." Usopp says vaguely
"The one place?" Nami asks interested
"There's one huge mansion in town. The folks there are way richer that everyone else, I know the owner of that house. The owner, if you can call her that, is just a pitiful young girl. She is sick and weak and bedridden" Usopp explains
"Eh why would a girl like that own a mansion?" Nami asks
"Waitress more food" Luffy orders
"And sake" Zoro chips in
"Are you guys even listening" Usopp shouts before getting on with his explanation. "Sadly about one year ago she lost both parents to sickness, all she had left was a massive fortune, a huge mansion, and an army of servants. Even with all the money and luxuries in the world you'll never find a more tragic situation."
"Forget it, let's give up on finding a ship here. We can try a different town" Nami says
"Yeah no need to bother her with our request if she is not up for it" Luffy decides
"By the way you said you wanted me to join your crew? I will if you make me your captain" Usopp says confidently
"No thanks" The trio says shutting down Usopp
Kaya's Mansion
"Um Clahador?" A blonde bedridden teen girl says
"What is it mistress Kaya" the shady butler asks
"I want to see usopp-san" Kaya says solemnly
Village Restaurant
"Hey pirates what have you done with our captain Usopp?" Three small children ask shouting with wooden swords in their hands. "Give the captain back"
"Whew! The meat was delicious!" Luffy exclaims with a sinister smile
"What meat? What did you do to him?" The children ask frightened
"We just ate him" Zoro says with a sinister smile of this own
"Gyaaa cave witch!" the children screaming looking at Nami before passing out
"You say the stupidest things" Nami yells at Zoro as both he and luffy laugh. "And you I thought you were mature than that" She turns to luffy who just shrugs, eventual the children come to…
"It's time?" they ask
"Yeah he said that and then he left" Zoro tells them
"Oh yeah he's going to lie" The children says as they begin to explain the situation with Kaya and Usopp
Kaya Mansion
"Not again you want to see Usopp? The butler Klahador says
"Why not? I want to talk to him" Kaya retorts
"I cannot allow it how many times must I say this? He is the most rebellious no-good rascal in the village talking with him would be a bad influence on you" the butler says
Later
After the butler leaves Kaya hears a knock on her window. Looking over she sees usopp "Usopp-san" she exclaims happy to see him
"Hey lifeless as usual I see" He greets her
"I'm sorry I wanted you to come inside as a guest, but Klahador-san just won't allow it, he's not a bad person really." Kaya tries to make an excuse for the butler
"Nah, I'm fine out here. Can't breathe in that stuffy house, and besides I'm a valiant warrior of the sea" Usopp lies
"So what adventure is today's story about" Kaya asks excited
Village Restaurant
"I see that's what he's up to huh? Shishishi well he seems like he'll be a nice fit in my crew" luffy says getting up "All right then, let's go to the mansion and request our boat" Luffy says as Zoro begins to follow him
"No! Didn't I tell you to give up on that already" Nami shouts at luffy
"Tell me to give up on it?" Luffy repeats "You don't order me to do anything Nami" Luffy says to her with a stare that leaves no room for argument.
Kaya's Mansion
"Hello forgive our interruption we have a request of the lady of the household" Luffy announces. Receiving no answer luffy forcibly opens the gate walking into the grounds "We're coming in"
"Nothing stops him" Nami sighs out defeated
"Hahaha, I have chosen to follow an interesting man" Zoro says walking behind luffy
One of the children interrupt Usopp in the middle of his tall tale. "Huh what are you guys doing here" Usopp asks caught off guard
"Who is that?" Kaya asks
"Forgive our intrusion mistress Kaya my name is Monkey D. Luffy. We, that is my crew and I, have a request to purchase a ship from you" Luffy says to her
"A request of me" Kaya says interested
"What are you doing here?" the butler shouts coming around the corner "You can't simply barge into the mansion like this"
"Listen Clahador-san these people are…" Kaya begins but is interrupted
"I do not care if there is a reason, I will hear it afterwards" the butler rudely cuts her off
"Oi are you not a butler here" Luffy asks him
"Yes I am the head butler…" He tries to respond
"I thought so and yet you have so rudely cut off your mistress when she was talking to you. She does not appear to be a child to me. And I am aware of her illness." Luffy says walking closer to the butler "You do not know our reason for being here for all you know we could be offering her a service to cure or treat her illness or recommending someone who can. Additionally the aggressiveness with which you cut her off seems somewhat extreme for someone who is ill and continuously bedridden. But worst of all you also interrupted my conversation with her making you an obstacle" Luffy finishes directly in front of the butler towering over him with a vicious aura about him daring the butler to challenge him.
This is a pirate Usopp thinks to himself in awe of the change in atmosphere
It happened again it feels like I should be afraid but he doesn't really look angry just annoyed. Does he always keep this part of him hidden Nami contemplates looking over luffy
Turning back to Kaya Luffy see her looking almost afraid "My apologies mistress Kaya I don't like people who behave so rudely especially when they have no place in a situation" Luffy says as she gives him a small smile signifying her ease
"Oh you are usopp-kun aren't you" the butler finally says after feeling the oppressive air from luffy disappear. "I've heard the rumors about you, you have quite a reputation in town."
"Oh why thank you. You may call me captain Usopp if you wish, as a means to show your respect" Usopp starts in a delusional manner
"The guards tell me they catch sight of you around here every once in a while. Is there a reason for that?" Klahador asks pushing up his glasses
"Ah yes well you see, I saw this legendary mole burrow under the mansion so I went searching…"
"Fufu I see that you certainly do like to flap your tongue. I have heard about your father as well, you're only the son of a filthy pirate. I wouldn't put anything past you, do not come near the mistress anymore." He cuts off Usopp
"Did you say filthy" Usopp asks getting angry
"You and the mistress live in different worlds. Is it money you want, how much?" the butler goes too far
"That's enough Klahador-san apologize to Usopp-san" Kaya shouts furiously
"I feel sorry for you, you hate him don't you? The foolish treasure mad father who left his family and the village behind." He continues
"Klahador-san" Kaya shouts
"Don't you dare say another word about my father" A hurt and angry Usopp snarls
"Why are you getting so worked up about this? How sad, I expected you would make up another of your special little lies such as my father was actually a traveling salesman or we're not really related…"
"Shut up!" Usopp shouts as he charges forward and punches the butler in his face sending him to the ground. Shocking Kaya and the children
"See that? So quick to violence, like father like son" The butler eggs on
"Be quiet. I'm proud that my dad was a pirate! I'm proud that he was a valiant warrior of the sea! Just like you say I am a troublemaker, but I cannot pretend that I'm not proud of my pirate blood!" Usopp shouts proudly "I am the son of a pirate"
"You said pirates are brave warriors of the sea? Don't twist the truth, it's because you have that kind of savage bloodline that you like to lie so much and use violence whenever you are enraged. I believe you only get close to mistress Kaya for the money, who cares what your motive is the fact that your father is a pirate is more than enough reason for me to kick you out"
"I dare you to say that again" Usopp grabs Klahador by the collar with his fist cocked back
"Usopp-san please stop, please don't use violence" kaya shouts stopping Usopp "Klahador isn't a bad person he's just concerned about me that's why he's a little extreme."
"Get the hell out of here, savages like you are not welcomed here. I'll let you off this time but I warn you don't come back here again" Klahador chases Usopp away
"Fine I understand I'll leave without you telling me to. I'll never come back here again" Usopp says walking away
"Usopp-san" Kaya says worried
"Let's go" Luffy says walking away glancing at Kaya and her butler
Later
Kaya is in her bed coughing as Klahador walks in for her lunch time. Giving her a story as to why he behaves the way he does with seeming disregard about how she feels or the fact that he works for her.
Syrup village shore
Usopp is sitting under a tree on a cliff looking out towards the see "Hey there you are" Luffy says hanging upside down from a tree shocking usopp.
"Why can't you be normal?" Usopp shouts at him "Earlier you said you knew my dad. Where is he now?"
"On Red-Haired Shanks' ship on the grand line. But where specifically I don't know." Luffy answers
"I see on that Red-Haired Shanks' ship huh? What Red-Haired Shanks!?" Usopp screams surprised
"Yup Yasopp was a very popular pirate in the crew. He was the best sniper they had." Luffy reminisces about his time with Yasopp
"Is that all really true? To tell you the truth even though he left me for the sea I'm always proud of my dad. But that bastard Klahador looked down on him. He looked down on my pride" Usopp
"Yeah it's funny how much you learn by watching a situation unfold. There is definitely something strange about him. Anyway are you giving up on seeing Kaya?" Luffy asks
"Dunno maybe if that butler apologizes and begs me, then I'll consider it" Usopp dramatically sighs out
He wouldn't really let his pride stop him from helping her would it? It's not like she chased him away Luffy contemplated until something below catches his eye. "Oi Usopp look down that." Luffy points to the shore
Looking down usopp sees the Butler and Jango the hypnosis. "What is he doing here" a shocked usopp asks
Jango and Klahador
"Jango, I told you not to draw the attention of the villagers, why did you sleep in the middle of the street?" The butler says to him
"How can I attract any attention? It's not like I look weird or something" Jango responds
"So are you all prepared for it?" Klahador asks
"Of course we can start operation assassinate Mistress Kaya any time" Jango replies
"Assassinate is such an ugly word"
"Ah yeah accident we'll call it an accident isn't that right Captain Kuro" Jango asks the now relieved pirate captain Kuro
"Captain Kuro, I gave up that name three years ago, don't call me by that name again. You are the captain now" Kuro orders
Usopp and Luffy
"I think I've heard the name Captain Kuro somewhere… I think he's the pirate famous for his careful planning before robbing and plundering. But I heard he got caught by the marine three years ago and got executed" Usopp informs luffy
I've never heard of him which means he was only big here in the east blue and nowhere else. I never took the time to pay attention to small timers. Were luffy's thoughts as he continued to observe the conversation
"I still remember that day, it simply shocked me. You said you were going to give up being a pirate and made me the captain. Everyone thinks that captain Kuro has been executed by the marines. But actually you hid in this little village and told us to come here in three years' time. Before when I worked for you there were always a lot of benefits that's the only reason I worked for you, I can get a good share this time right?" Jango asked
"Yes if you succeed you'll get your share" Kuro promises
"Good leave that girl to me" Jango says confidently
"Killing her is not enough you have to make sure it looks like an accident. Before you kill her you have to hypnotize her and make her write my name into the will. 'I will leave all my wealth to my butler Klahador' this way I can openly claim her wealth. I've spent three years getting everyone to trust me, and as soon as she writes the will no one will suspect me" Kuro explains
"Just for this you spent three years being a butler? If I were you I would have just robbed them straight on." Jango says
"If I had done that I'd still be an outlaw and the marines would still be chasing me." Kuro somewhat cowardly admits
"This plan can get me tons of money, plus I won't have the marines chasing me. I like using my head to find a peaceful way to settle things" Kuro brags
"Hahahahaha peaceful way to settle things? You mean murdering her entire family is a peaceful way?" Jango laughs out loud
"Hey, What entire family? Kaya's parents died naturally that was outside of my plans." Kuro defends
"Whatever let's not argue over this. Anyways, you just need to send the signal our ship has been anchored close by for almost a week, they can't hold back any longer" Jango informs him
"Horrible I've heard a horrible plan. Kaya will be killed too the village will be under attack, not good not good at all" Usopp murmurs scared next to luffy. Getting up Usopp starts to sprint to the village
Syrup Village
Nami and Zoro are with the three children in Usopp's 'Crew'. Suddenly they see Usopp sprinting down the road "Ah that's the captain" the children comment as Usopp runs by
"Wasn't luffy with him?" Zoro questions
"Is he still mad at the butler for looking down on his dad?" Nami wonders out loud
"No his expression is different" the children say
"Yo Usopp pirates" Luffy suddenly appears with a smile. "You should probably go with your captain"
"Yeah the captain looked worried, let's go see why." The children say leaving after Usopp
"Zoro, Nami we have a pirate invasion coming…" Luffy says as he explains the situation to them.
"Wait luffy you said that Kuro was with a weird looking guy called Jango" Nami asks getting a nod from luffy. "He was here not too long ago and he actually managed to hypnotize those three children but he also accidentally hypnotized himself."
Pausing a moment luffy thinks over everything he has learned and put it all together. "Ok I understand what's going on here now. We're going to stop those pirates from entering the village an allow Kuro to expose himself. Informing the villagers of it won't be any help." Turning towards the direction they docked at luffy continues "Come on let's get to the boat and hide it away."
Out on the Coast
"Tomorrow morning we'll destroy this village" Jango announces to the pirate crew
"Hail to Captain Jango" The pirates cheer
Later
Luffy, Nami, and Zoro are sitting beneath a tree at a corner of the village as Usopp walks by.
"Hey everybody" Usopp puts on a face
"Captain we heard about the pirates we came to help" The three children approach with wooden swords.
Having experience everyone's reaction to him trying to warn them Usopp decides to one again lie. "Wahahaha what pirates? Just like all the other times of course it was just a lie. I was just having my revenge on that butler, by making up stories about him being a pirate." Usopp proclaims while laughing
"What is was just a lie?" the children asked surprised "Captain shouldn't make up lies just because of this, that's not honorable. Yea I feel the same way. Me too. No matter how mean that butler is… Captain I never thought you would make up lies to hurt others." The children say disappointed as they walk away to go home.
Later at the shore – night time
Usopp tells Luffy and the crew what happened when he tried to warn every one of the pirate invasion including kaya. "Because I used to lie all the time no one believes a word I say now" He laments
"Regardless those pirates are definitely going to attack in the morning. What will you do Usopp" Luffy asks looking down at Usopp
"Since everyone thinks I'm a lair, I'll protect this village myself and prevent the pirates from attacking. In order to protect the village then this will just become one of my lies" Usopp declares. "I love this village, I want to protect everyone, how can I just watch everyone get killed" Usopp breaks down crying into the palms of his hands
"You are a pretty good guy, you lied to your crew so you can do this alone" Zoro compliments smirking
"Good I'll definitely lend my help then" Luffy says with a smile
"You already told us to butt in Luffy" Nami says with a playful sigh "But first things first all their treasure is mine" Nami declares
"What? You guys are willing to fight with me? Why?" Usopp asks
"I do what I want" Luffy answers simply
"You look scared" Zoro says
"Idiots I'm the great Captain Usopp, why would I be afraid?" Usopp shouts getting up with wobbly legs.
"Listen Usopp we are helping because you showed courage" Zoro says to Usopp as he tries to calm his shaking legs
"They out number you, and this is the perfect opportunity to see your skills in action" Luffy says making an observation. "Say what type of weapon do you use Usopp"? He asks
"Umm well I have never actually shot a rifle or pistol before, I just used my slingshot" Usopp says showing them his slingshot
"Hm very well as long as you're skill with it I suppose." Luffy says a slight bit skeptical
"By the way Usopp, the northern shore were we docks our boats, I want you and Zoro to stand guard over there just in case they show up on that shore instead of this one" Luffy said gaining everyone's attention
"Ahh I forgot about that entrance" Usopp slightly panics holding his head in his hands
"Shishishi don't worry about it. If they show up there fire a smoke signal… you have a smoke signal yes?" Getting an affirmative nod Luffy continues. " Good I'll see it and come flying with Nami."
Flying? Nami wonders
"Wait a second Luffy how will they know if the pirates show up on this end" Nami asks
"Ehh doesn't matter I can deal with them myself" Luffy nonchalantly picks his nose
"Oi" Zoro protests
"Shishishi relax Zoro, If they don't show in one hour after sunrise then everybody head to the opposite shore first and then to the center of the town if we don't see each other or the pirates." Luffy plans
"Sounds like a good plan Captain, come on Usopp" Zoro compliments as he takes Usopp to the northern shore
Kaya's Mansion
In the mansion the now revealed Kuro betrays and attacks Merry leaving him in a pool of blood.
Out at sea – Black Cat's Ship
Jango and the rest of the Black Cat's crew awake to prepare for invasion.
North side shore of syrup village
The sun breaks out the horizon signaling dawn. "Oi Usopp is that a ship out there?" Zoro questions struggling to see an incoming vessel in the distance.
"Eh?" Usopp responds pulling down his goggles. " Y-y-your right Zoro" Usopp fumbles with a smoke pellet that he puts into his slingshot and first into the air.
"I'll cut them down" Zoro says with a smirk as he takes out two of his katana.
South side shore of syrup village
"Shishishi did they really just let you get away with their treasure cuz you showed them a little leg Nami?" Luffy laughs as Nami tells him a story of some pirates she swindled
"Yeah they thought I was going to be their woman" Nami recalls in-between laughs. Suddenly Luffy stops laughing for a moment as he says a trail of green smoke up in the sky.
"Hm seems like the pirate came from the north side" Luffy observes as he grabs Nami by the waste and puts her on his left shoulder. "Hang on Nami we'll be there in a few seconds, oh and try not to scream too loudly." Luffy says to a momentarily stunned Nami.
"Huh what do you mean put me do-" she is cut off with a…
"Geppo" as Luffy starts to step on the air rocketing towards the northern shore, all the while Nami can barely comprehend what is happen.
North shore (6 seconds later)
*Thud* Luffy lands next to Zoro surprising him and scaring the life out of Usopp
"Oi what the hell was that?!" Nami screams at Luffy as he puts her down
"Y-y-you can fly?" Usopp mumbles from his shocked position on the ground
Slightly cocking his head to the side Luffy answers. "No I was just stepping on the air, using it like a springboard of sorts to mimic flying". He answers as if it's the most simple thing in the world.
"But that's impossible!" Nami and Usopp shout at him in unison
"If it were impossible then how did I just do it?" Luffy counters eliciting a full belly laugh from Zoro who has just recovered from his own shock.
"Because you're a monster" they shout back at him
"Well, that's kinda hurtful" Luffy pouts making a point to look Nami directly in the eyes.
"Oi the ship is docking" Zoro points out cutting off any further antics.
"Alright men go slaughter the entire village and meet up with captain Kuro!" Jango shouts getting a shout of " yeaaa!" as the fodder pirates jump off the ship and begin to charge.
"Usopp let's get an example of your sniping skills" Luffy says pointing towards the charging pirates.
"Ah" Usopp says with determination as he takes out a handful of bullets, and fires them from his slingshot hitting four pirates in the head knocking them all down.
"There some people on the slope" a random pirate exclaims seeing the straw-hat man and his companions.
"Who are you?" Jango asks from the back.
"I'm captain Usopp and if you come any close my 100 million crew will kill you all!" Usopp lies
"Eh 100 million really?" Jango asks surprised
"What an obvious lie" a random pirate says
"Eiii they found out" Usopp panics turning to the others
"Oh it was a lie? How dare you lie to me! Men charge!" Jango says pissed off.
"Shishishi what stupid guys, Tobu Shigan Oren" Luffy launches five air bullets at the charging pirates piercing them completely through leaving exit wounds.
"Wh-what the hell was that!?" the pirates shout looking at their downed comrades and back up towards Luffy.
"Nami same rules as last time. Zoro… feel free" Luffy instructs them.
Rushing ahead Zoro blows back the remaining pirates as Nami turns to Luffy.
"Seems like Zoro has it handled" Nami says coyly
"Hm shame about that, cuz if Zoro finishes them all off however will we continue to work together and split treasure" Luffy responds with a smirk.
Grumbling about stupid monsters Nami says "fine" and runs in drawing her the segment staff assembling it and knocking out a random pirate that got by Zoro. Bringing up her staff Nami blocks a sword slash from another pirate before hitting at his legs and following up with a strike to the Adam's apple send the pirate tumbling back down the slope.
Kaya's Mansion
Sitting by the steps to the entrance of the mansion was the pirate captain Kuro. "Why are they late? Those idiots should know what it means to ruin my plans" he says getting up and adjusting his glasses using the palm of his hands "If they dare forget about my plans I'll kill then all" Kuro says to himself as he begins to make his way towards the northern shore.
Northern Shore
"Who are these guys?" Jango asks himself seeing the deteriorating situation around him
"I didn't know you guys were this strong" Usopp complements
"Of course" Luffy responds
"Don't tell me you guys are done from just one attack." Jango says to his crew as they struggle to get up breathing heavily and bleeding. "If the enemy is strong we just have to be stronger, look into my pendulum, when I say 1, 2, Jango all your wounds will be healed and you'll be much stronger" Jango instructs as his men start to be hypnotized.
"Ohhh hypnosis? Well it actually work?" Luffy wonders somewhat fascinated.
Tucking his hat down to hide his face Jango begins "1, 2, Jango." He hypnotizes his entire crew
"uwhoooooooh" the men shout as they gain latent strength and have wounds heal. Going over to the cliff one of the pirates punches it causing the cliff to split and break apart
"They were just shakily a minute ago but now their fine and super strong". Nami along with Usopp freaks out
"Get them men!" Jango orders as the pirates start to rush the cliff
"Oi Nami you guys stay back we can handle this" Zoro says as he rushes forward and starts cut down the pirates.
"Shishishi I'm glad Zoro decided to join me" Luffy laughs as he brings a foot up. "Rankyaku" Luffy launches his cutting attack that travels above the pirates and strikes the wooden mast head, in the likeness of a black cat, of their ship causing it to fall on a group of the pirates
"Hey buchi come look our ship head is wrecked" a voice from on board the shit shouts
"Wrecked how did that happen?" responds another voice
"Oh right we still have those two" Jango says with a sinister smile a bit relieved.
Kaya's Mansion
Kaya wakes up from a nightmare about an evil Usopp. Going to the kitchen she finds Merry lying in a pool of blood, who informs her about Kuro, his true identity and that he attacked him. Leaving her Mansion shakily she heads towards the shore knowing the truth.
Northern shore
"Sham, Buchi come down" Jango shouts promoting two men to into the sky and lend next to him. One being chubby and dressed in cat attire with the other being skinny with long hair legs dressed similarly.
"Hehehe you guys are done now the Nyaban brothers are our strongest team" the pirates chuckle from the ground.
Seeing the new arrivals Luffy becomes irritated. "Oi Zoro let's finish this now so I can go find Kuro and deal with him, this is becoming annoying" Luffy says getting a nod from Zoro as he puts his third Katana in his mouth
"Finish us? We'll show you!" Sham charges Zoro from the left as Buchi jumps into the air. Coming up Sham attempts to claw Zoro only for it to be blocked as Buchi comes in with his special heel drop "Cat technique Buchi's drop kick" Buchi says attempting to crush Zoro only for him to move out of the way creating a cracked ground beneath Buchi.
Stepping back Zoro puts his hand swords over his mouth blade and swings forth a forward descending slash "Tora Gari" cutting down both of the brothers.
*Crunch* almost immediately Luffy drives his knee into the sternum of the downed Buchi shattering the bone. Pointing towards Sham he punctures four holes into him "Tobu Shigan Oren". Looking towards Jango he continues "you're next"
"What the hell is happening here!" Kuro shouts as he appears at the top of the slope to see most of his crew decimated and bleeding.
"Rankyaku" Luffy ignores the shout and sends the air wave at Jango that slashes him across the chest completely taking him out of the fight. "Seems like you're the only one left Captain Kuro" Luffy says finally acknowledging him.
"You're that straw-hat guy… Now that you took out Jango how am I supposed to get Kaya to sign over her will to me!" Kuro shouts at Luffy infuriated.
"Clahador stop this!" Kaya shouts from behind Kuro as she appears
"Kaya what are you doing here?" Usopp shouts/Kuro asks.
"I spoke to Merri. He told me everything" she responds
"Oh he is still alive? I didn't show him any mercy" Kuro admits shocking her
"I'm sorry Usopp I can't believe that Clahador is a pirate" Kaya admits with teary eyes
"Never mind that now, you need to get our of here" Usopp screams
"How can I when you are fighting for us, even with how we treated you?" she cries back. "Clahador if you want my money I'll give it all to you, please just leave the village" she tries to negotiate
"I can't do that Ojousama this village also provides peace for me. I want money and peace of mind" Kuro tells her
Pulling a pistol out she says "leave this village"
"Ah you've gotten stronger over the years. Do you remember all those boat rides we took together, or times when I took care of you when got a fever? All that was so that I could kill you today." Kuro shatters her heart causing the tears to spill and Kaya dropping the pistol
"You bastard" Usopp yells jumping at Kuro trying to punch him in the face.
"Ah Usopp-kun, I haven't repaid you for the punch you gave me the other day. It really hurt a lot". Kuro raises his hands preparing to cut down Usopp with his claws
"Usopp!" Nami and Kaya shout in worry
Appearing to the left of Kuro Luffy delivers a punch to his temple sending him flying into a nearby tree. "Lets gets this over with Kuro". Luffy says looking at the now downed and bleeding Kuro.
Struggling to get up Kuro says "your fast much faster than I thought" Kuro starts to sway back and forth looking dizzy but…
"Huh that stance don't tell me that's the captain secret technique, the shakushi" a random pirate exclaims.
"Let me show you the terror of a pirate who has come close to death and survived." Kuro boast before he disappears to most in a burst of speed. Immediately trees in the area begin to get sliced up as well as claw marks showing up along the cliff side until the first crew member is cut follow by several more.
"Ahhhh Captain please stop". A pirate shouts out
"It's no use when he uses that he can't tell the difference between friend and for" another pirate screams before he is cut down as well
"Please captain spare us" the pirates plead as they all get cut down regardless of their mobility.
On the side Nami, Usopp and Kaya are terrified at the display as from their perspective it seems as if an invisible force is slicing up everything in the area. The only two able to track Kuro's movements are the straw-hat boy and his first mate. To Zoro is seems as if Kuro is sprinting around the area while to Luffy he might as well be jogging.
"Pathetic" Luffy spits seeing Kuro finally approaching him "tekkai" Luffy hardens his body as the claws decent upon him causing them to shatter. Grabbing Kuro by the head, in what appears to the others as out of thin air, Luffy slams him into the ground head first cracking his skull and creating a spider web design underneath them. "Goodbye Captain Kuro" Luffy say pointing a finger towards him
"No this can't be the end of my ambitions" Kuro mumbles out
"Tobu Shigan" Luffy punctures his left lung sending the pirate into unconsciousness.
Dropping to her knees Kaya cries silently overwhelmed by all that has happened
"Y-y-you did it you beat Kuro so easily" Usopp exclaims.
"Was there ever any doubt?" Zoro asks coming up from the cliff sheathing his swords.
Grabbing Kuro by the neck Luffy throws him at the remaining individuals of the black cat pirates. "Take him and leave, oh and do try to never come back to this island again or I'll kill you all" Luffy calmly stays as an aura of death lingers around him.
Frighten the pirates struggle to grab their near dead captain and leave. Turning towards Zoro Luffy smiles and says "Hey Zoro how about some food and sake"
"Hmph sounds good to me captain". Zoro replies with a smile.
Seeing Nami with a bag of treasure Luffy asks "hey Nami where did you get that treasure?"
"Huh? Oh from the pirate's ship" she answers hugging the bag
"…when" Luffy says
"Just now" Nami says
"…uhuh" luffy replies with a sweat drop. What speed
In the village restaurant – later
Luffy, Zoro, and Nami have just finished going through half of the restaurants food and sake when Kaya shows up. "Oh this is where you guys were." Looking at Luffy she continues "I haven't gotten the chance to properly thank you for helping us out, but if you follow me…"
Northern shore
"Ooh your giving us this ship Ms. Kaya?" Luffy asks seeing a boat
Giggling she responds "Just Kaya is fine Luffy, and yes additionally I also stocked it up with all the essentials for a voyage."
"It's a Caravel" Nami informs excitedly
"It's called going merry" Meri informs them from beside the ship. "It's a Caravel and uses a staysail the controls are in the back." Meri informs them as he explains how to operate the controls
"This is an awesome ship, thank you Kaya, Merri," Luffy says with a small bow
"Oh no no it's quite alright" they respond a little flustered as Nami looks at Luffy with a small yet conflicted smile.
"Stop me please!" Usopp shouts as he comes tumbling down the slope with an extremely over packed backpack, holding his hand out Zoro catches Usopp as he comes near mumbling a "thank you".
Seeing him Kaya understands. "So you're going out to see Usopp-san"
"Yeah I have to leave now before I change my mind. Please don't stop me." Usopp replies
"I won't I figured you would want to do this, it makes me really sad though." Kaya says
"But hey next time when I come back to this village I can tell you about all the adventures I had and not just lies." Usopp tries to cheer her up.
"Yeah I would like that" Kaya smiles
Turning to Luffy and crew on the going merry he says "Well, safe voyage guys hope to see you somewhere"
"What are you talking about" Luffy questions
"Get on board idiot" Zoro adds
"You're already our Nakama" Luffy confirms
"I-I'm the captain right!?" Usopp fist bumps into the air and shouts
"Oi I'm the captain, Zoro is the vice captain understood?" Luffy asks completely serious.
"Y-Yeah" Usopp nods
"Good then let's set sail" Luffy shouts to the heavens as they being to leave port.

A/N: Second chapter done. As you can see Luffy is for the most part going to coast through the east blue because not only does he have power but he also has technique and versatility. For Doriki levels I'll only give levels to new combatant characters or update an active characters Doriki. Meaning if a character gets stronger or time I'll put that at the end of the chapter. Also if a character isn't in a chapter then I'll not announce their Doriki. Now some of you may have noticed that Luffy took something of buggy's that'll come in quite handy in the future.
