The sun bared down on them as the four a trudge through the desert. Marcus was a few steps ahead of the three Avengers who all kept their eyes on the younger man. Natasha didn't trust him and if the time came she would be ready to fight when they're not on his turf. Clint didn't like Marcus, the kid would talk down at him and treat him like a child because he can make instant sand castles. Steve hasn't decided how to judge the kid, he hasn't done anything to make him trust him or be suspicious of him. Horus flew above them in the clear blue sky.

"So, are we there yet?" Clint asked. When Marcus didn't reply the archer began to click his tongue.

Marcus rolled his eyes with a sigh. He's known these people for less than a day and he's already decided who he hates the most out of the three. "Are we there yet?" The archer repeats.

Marcus suddenly stopped and the three heroes all stopped in alarm. The younger quickly turned around and Clint nearly flinched at the action. Marcus quickly walked past the three before he looked down.

"What is it?" Steve asked stepping next to the young man.

"There's something under the sand, something...big." He replied before walking backward. "Step back."

The others quickly took a few steps back to be behind him. They watched as Marcus raised his arms. The ground began to shake beneath them, they struggled to keep their footing to stay standing. The sand began to blow away and the ground began to cave in. The caving ground began to form a pit as the more sand was swept away. After a few short moments, the pit was nearly 30 ft deep and still digging. Marcus glared at the ground as he continued to dig deeper before he gasped and stopped digging.

Natasha was the first to step forward to see what he was looking at. She followed his gaze and saw what appeared to be a crystal tip to a black pyramid. "A pyramid?" She asked.

"Feels like it." He nodded.

"This far from civilization?" She wondered.

"Pyramids are made to protect the bodies of dead Pharaohs, why this one is so far from any city is beyond me." He replied. "I'll keep digging to find an entrance." She nodded.

Steve stepped forward to stand on the other side of Marcus. "I don't get it, we're where all the sandstorms are but the sky's been clear all day."

Horus circled above them from the sky before letting out a loud 'kak, kak'. Clint was the first to notice before he looked around and his heart nearly stopped. "Careful what you wish for, cap." Clint chimes in getting their attention. "Storm incoming."

The three climbed out of the pit and saw a large wall of sand that touched the sky coming at them. "That is not a regular sandstorm." Marcus says as he watched in awe. The wind began to pick up the storm came closer. Red flashes of lightning broke through the dark clouds of sand.

"We have to find shelter." Steve says authoritatively.

"Go." Marcus replied. "I'll slow it down." He informed before he walked towards the incoming wall of sand.

Steve quickly grabbed his arm and blue eyes met grey. "Are you sure about this?" He asked unsure of the plan.

"I don't think there's another way." He replied before he moved to walk away but Steve kept his grip.

"There's always another way." The soldier says sternly.

"Maybe but this way will probably be fun." He smirked before breaking out of the grip and walked towards the storm.

Natasha turned around and saw Steve stand frozen as he watched Marcus walk towards the storm "Cap, we got to find cover!" She yelled over the blowing wind but Steve just stood. "Steve!"

Steve snapped back to reality before turning around. "Mars will buy us some time. We'll take cover behind those rocks." He points at a small range of rocks. It's no bigger than a small car but it's better than nothing. The pair of spies began to run for the rocks. Steve was going to follow but Horus swooped down with a loud 'kak, kak'. Steve watched as the bird hit the crystal tip of the black pyramid.

Clint turned his head to look at the storm but instead saw Steve jump down into the pit. "What the hell is he doing?" He asked as he stopped running.

Natasha followed suit as she saw the storm. She looked at Clint who looked back, they both nodded. They ignored the coming storm and ran down the pit and saw hit the crystal with his shield. "What are you doing?" Natasha asked.

He kept on hitting the crystal "We have to get in." He replied.

"Steve there's no way in." She objected.

Horus glided down and landed on Marcus' shoulder. 'Kak, kak!' He screeched into Marcus' ear taking his concentration off of the storm. "Dammit, what?" He asked looking at the falcon.

Horus flew off his shoulder before diving into the pit. Marcus got the message and quickly ran to the pit. When he made it he saw Steve hit the tip of the pyramid with his shield as Clint and Natasha tried to get to stop. He groaned before walking down to them.

"I told you guys to run!" He yelled at the three heroes.

"Tell that to ice for brains." Clint replied.

"Steve you guys have to run." Marcus said to the soldier who was still hitting the crystal. He saw the storm less than 20 ft away from them. "Steve!" He got between stepped before Steve and leaned on the crystal.

Suddenly the wind stopped blowing. The four stood shocked in silence. They all looked up and saw that the wall of sand was nowhere in sight. Marcus pushed himself off the crystal and looked around confused. The crystal suddenly shined a bright white light. The four of them all covered their eyes as the light shined brighter before a sudden force pushed them all back making Marcus' sight go black.

There she was in her white dress, flowing in the desert winds. She held his hands as the sun shined above them. Her dark eyes met his and he felt hypnotized. She lightly pulled him forward. "We will be together soon my love." She says as the sand around them turned black. "And the world will be our empire." Her skin turned grey, markings trailed her body, her eyes turned to gold before they split into two.

His head began to hurt and he pulled away from her. He fell to his knees and clutched his head. She knelt down and took his head into her hands. "It hurts, I know. Let me take the pain away." She leaned in. "Let go and give in." She whispered.
