The beast suddenly attacked him and Shirou barely had enough time to duck out of the way of the deadly tail. The creature was obviously a wild animal and the manticore theory he thought of might actually be coming to fruition.

Deciding to analyze the situation he jumped back only for the creature to suddenly start shooting spikes out from its tail that travelled faster then it had a right to travel at and he wouldn't have been able to react to it if he was a normal human just strolling through the park.

He wasn't a normal human though.

Shirou threw Kanshou which the beast slapped aside with his tail but for Shirou that was just fine as the special ability of his two swords Kanshou and Bakuya was, they always returned to each other. That was one of the reasons it was his favourite swords out of all the deadly and overpowered swords in his arsenal and just like he predicted the white short-sword came back to him spinning wildly as it cut off the tail of the beast.

"MY TAIL DAMN YOU TOO TARTARUS" the beast roared in agony and Shirou was having a feeling his prediction that this beast was the Manticore of legend was seeming to become truer.

After all, no beast as far as he could tell could speak and it could clearly say coherent words even though it roared it out. Shirou quickly filed that away for later though, as he came blurring towards the beast faster then it could react and stabbed it right in the brains instantly killing it.

He would have interrogated the creature now that he knew it could speak but he had a feeling that it wouldn't respond to him very well.

Especially since he cut off its tail.

Strangely enough, though the beast dissolved into golden particles showing no signs of it being here which made Shirou curious. Why exactly did it disappear like that? He definitely knew that no beast should have dissolved into particles like it was a game. He put it in the back of his mind though as he had other thoughts to worry about.

'I need to find a human so I can see where I am.' Shirou said to himself

After walking through the forest and thankfully he didn't get interrupted like he did last time. It didn't make it any less creepy though as the forest was dark and mysterious with no source of light in sight. While he was walking he put his mind somewhere else and that was back to the beast.

The beast said Tartarus.

Wasn't that like Hell or something like that for the Greeks? He had a feeling that it was exactly that and he usually followed his guts in situations like this. Maybe the townspeople have an answer to his questions? He didn't know if he should ask them and risk them not knowing and he heard from his father about what happens when you expose the supernatural. That was one of the first lessons his father, Kiritisugu taught him never to expose magecraft as it could cause chaos and the clock tower will have to take care of it. He didn't like the idea of innocent people dying so he could get a simple answer to his questions. Plus he didn't want to attract too much attention to himself if possible.

He finally saw a light finally and quickly ran out and found that it was civilization.

But not the type he was used too. Nothing was Japanese around here and cars, trucks and shops looked completely different. He was sure he wasn't even in the same state anymore. He could see it would be a long time before he got home and finally went to bed in his futon. He shook his head at those depressing thoughts though as he walked out of the park. Absently he could see the park was called "Central Park" and of course he didn't recognize it. Not like it surprised him at all.

When he followed the pathway he saw that the buildings were tall, the city was bustling and a lot of restaurants were cooking food.

GROWL

Looking down at his stomach Shirou realized he hasn't ate much since Miyu was captured by Julian. He was too caught up in depression and ate the bare minimum at best. He knew that wasn't good for him but he just didn't care. Sakura tried cheering him up, but it barely worked as the only thing on his mind was Miyu.

Sakura.

Remembering Sakura's death by Shinji brought up a lot of hate bubbling towards the surface. Sakura's death filled him with overwhelming sadness as she was one of the prominent figures in his life. They were in the Archery club and despite what everybody thinks of him he wasn't oblivious to her feelings. At least completely. If he wasn't lying he actually had a small crush on her too as she was a beautiful girl and they spent a lot of time together. Shaking his head at those negative thoughts he returned to reality.

He moved at a leisurely pace, with no real idea on where he's going. It wasn't like he was expecting shelter to just pop up out of nowhere for him to stay in but it didn't hurt to try. People gave him strange looks but he couldn't find it in himself to care really.

He had wounds all over his body but he couldn't find it in himself to care. He may have looked like shit, smelled like shit and felt like shit but that wasn't important right now as hunger overwhelmed him.

After a while of walking through the busy city, he could feel someone watching him. If he wasn't a magus he would have definitely been none the wiser but he was. He was used to detecting the supernatural as that was also one of the basics Kiritsugu taught him. The person was stalking like how one would stalk a deer, waiting for the deer to let there guard down then strike like a lion.

He didn't like it.

So he did what any normal-sane person would do and he acted like he didn't notice someone stalking him and continued on like nothing ever happened. He found an alleyway and slipped through it and as he predicted someone was following him step by step. He turned around and saw the person following him.

The person who confronted him was a girl. A girl with silver eyes that shone like the moon. She had Auburn hair, not unlike him and had on a silver outfit kitted with silver boots, jacket, and tunic. A bow was strapped to her back and her eyes had that permanent anger in them that he bet she wore usually.

"Hey" he greeted cautiously tensing for an attack

The girl just glared at him with obvious hatred that showed she didn't care for his greetings.

"Who are you? You are Supernatural but you are not divine at all," she demanded.

"Just a simple guy" He answered vaguely tensing his muscles

She just glared at him and unstrapped her bow then aimed at him suddenly, and arrow of light materialized in her bow and she looked ready to strike now.

Shirou wasn't an expert senser but he could easily feel that the attack is about equal to a D rank Noble Phantasm so he thought of the best way to deal with it and that was to

"DODGE" his instincts screamed out at him

He sidestepped the attack which was a hairsbreadth away and quickly had to trace his swords Kanshou and Bakuya to block the arrows from reaching him. Each and every attack he either dodged or parried and she was getting irritated he could tell.

A women's temper is a difficult thing to control after all he shivered and dodged another attack. Just when he was prepared to go in and cripple her she summoned another arrow but this one was different and he could tell easily. This next attack was at least a B-rank attack compressed into an arrow. So he prepared his strongest shield.

Divine energy flooded the arrows and she shot it towards him ready to kill him. A blueprint came to his mind the shield that stopped Hector's spear. The ONLY shield that can stop Hector's spear.

"I am the bone of my sword."

The world shone in pink.
