Wulfstan followed the lead of the Dwarven Party, making their way through what was no doubt an extremely large cavern to the native dwarves but which in his eyes was little more than a small cave in comparision to the hallways of the erstwhile Great Forge. They had walked not an inconsiderable amount without Conversation when they halted before the entrance of what appeared to be a cave.

The Commander In Chief hesitated for a moment and said "Lord Thunderwind, while I have no doubt you can fit in this cave with a bit of adjustment, what about your Dragon Companion over there, surely she can't come with us?"

Wulfstan chuckled and said "That shouldn't be a worry, being a Primal Dragon, and a direct daughter of a Dragon God, she should be able to assume any form she wishes, isn't that Right, Brythigga?"

Brythigga shook her head in what would be considered an approximation of a nod from the perspective of the Dwarves, and in a blinding flash of light, which momentarily stunned the dwarves, she had transformed into what could be considered an Old Woman, but if anyone noticed closely, they could make out that the word 'frailty' was diametrically opposite to what her womanly form was.

While dressed modestly in attire suitable for Dark Elf Rogues, it was not hard to see that she possessed well-toned muscles and had a back ramrod straight, and had a face which one could call compassionate and caring. However, if one chose to see even further, they would notice that her eyes themselves were primal and were pools of raw, unbridled, and raging power, and capable of instilling a fear In anyone who dared to look for too long.

The Commander shook his head and said "Right, please stick close to the party your Lordship and Lady…Dragon? The cave itself poses little in danger apart from poisonous gases in some tunnels, we however have maps which enable us to take the safest path through here, and avoid getting lost in the Labyrinth."

Brythigga clicked her tongue in displeasure and said "You can refer to me as Lady Brythigga, my species is merely Dragon, not my name."

Wulfstan chuckled heartily but though he did not doubt the competency of the Dwarven party to ensure they were not inadvertently trapped in a part of the Labyrinth he silently casted the 9th tier spell Bless of Titania, which summoned a Fairy Queen to lead them through the safest path through a dungeon, and then cast Perfect Unknowable on her, in rapid succession so the Dwarven party were not put on edge by the sudden appearance of a glowing Fairy.

The Commander nodded and led them through the path, while Wulfstan considered what exactly could this world entail, it was clear it was not Yggdrasil come to life due to how the Dwarves did not recognize him being their High King, which was a masterful flair that all dwarf players had accepted during his time in Yggdrasil. So he could understand that it was a different world. Though he did not understand how Tier Magic still worked here if it was not a world built around players and their skills and magic like how Yggdrasil was. He realised he needed to find someone whom he could talk to about all this and perhaps discern the history of how Tier Magic came to this world, even though he was not a magic caster.

Something then clicked in his head, Brythigga herself was the daughter of Malassa, a dragon entity similar to Arkath who somehow existed outside Yggdrasil and all its worlds, some plot of the Shitty Devs which many considered to imply a sequel centred around the Dragon Gods and the worlds they had spawned. While he considered it was possible they were now in the world of Arkath, what really interested him was that since she claimed to be smarter than the highest mortal geniuses by a large magnitude perhaps she knew what world they were in.

"Brythigga, he spoke" while simultaneously manoeuvring them to the hind of the party so that they were not overheard, "Do you have knowledge of the world we are in? I do not recognize it, and I know you asked me if Arkath had remade the world but perhaps you know more and may have not recollected the knowledge yet."

Brythigga considered this for a moment before what could only be described as a flash of recollection appeared on her face. "Yes, now that I have breathed in this world's scent, differentiating it from the mortals and objects alike I recognize this scent; it is powerful, untamed, and most of all…..dangerous. This is most definitely a primal world, a wild world. The scent of wild magic lingers, wholly different to the Tier Magic we are both used to. My immunity to it remains, and you also have immunity to any direct effect they may have due to your possession of Fulmination, but you know what that implies, yes?"

Wulfstan considered and said "Since only Fulmination counters it, Wild Magic is par on course with the power of World Items?"

Brythigga continued "Yes, but indirect effects like the destruction of the continent you stand upon or so can still hurt you, Wild Magic is even more dangerous in a sense, yet more limited in its application. I myself have sacrificed the ability to use any spell in exchange for immunity to all, so I myself cannot use Wild Magic, but it would seem the users of this system are…. Somewhat reduced in number. That is all my assessment tells me."

Wulfstan nodded and noted that they had come out of the cavern during this lengthy conversation and were now crossing a narrow, unsteady path over a sea of molten rock. He peered into the abyss and noticed what could only be described as an Angler Fish with hands instead of a lure swimming leisurely into the abyss. He cast the spell "Discern Enemy" on the fish and was satisfied to notice it was only a mere Level 46, it could not harm him even if he did not possess an immunity to fire.

In curiosity he further cast the same spell on his dwarven brethren and was shocked to notice every single one of them were below Level 20, with the Commander in Chief being level 18 and the highest, but mainly possessing skills in commander jobs as expected. This was an unexpected development, he asked the Chief "Is every dwarf in your kingdom on par with you or are there stronger exceptions?"

The chief seemed dumbfounded and if anything, slightly miffed, he spoke "We are the strongest Dwarven party in all of Feoh Ger, don't make fun of us your lordship. I understand you are a mighty warrior, perhaps as strong as a Prime Frost Dragon if not superior to be able to tame another dragon but that does not mean you can make fun of us."

Wulfstan smiled and raised his hand in apology "I beg your forgiveness, I meant no offence, but I do not understand how my race has come to this. Perhaps you offset your comparative weakness with Runemagic?"

The Chief was still confused "Runemagic? The only use for runes is to enchant weapons is it not? We cannot actively cast them in middle of combat, and to be frank, Tier Magic enchantments are superior."

Wulfstan was truly shocked, and spoke, In somewhat of an angry voice "Do not speak of Arkath's gift in such a light manner, surely you know of the Rune of Dragonform? The Rune of Resurrection? The Rune of Etherealness? The Rune of Elemental Immunity? And other combat rune magic?" and when he had finished speaking he noticed they had now crossed the passage and had made it to the front of a large Abyss seemingly connected to the one which he had found himself at the beginning of his transposition.

The Chief was completed dumbfounded at the mention of combat runes, and so Wulfstan thought it would be easier to show it rather than explain and so he activated the Rune of Dragonform while shouting its name and unleashed his killing intent. Some visual effects of the Rune were that an ethereal, glowing body of a dragonoid would surround him and provided +100% to his Defense +100% to his attack and +50% for one attack he performed or one he received. Fulmination seemingly responded to his activation of the Rune, and unlike the game sheathed him completely in Lightning, and not just his eyes, truly giving off the presence of a God of Lightning.

His Defense had skyrocketed to 200, and his attack to 170, there were almost no standard enemies in Yggdrasil he could not obliterate with a strike from Fulmination during this stage. But the cost was it brought down his Agility and Resistance to 0, meaning he had to be extraordinarily close to land the blow, and making him incredibly susceptible to elements and skills he possessed resistances to.

The Dwarves were brought to their kness, and were prostrating, completely unwillingly out of sheer fear at the power and intent that was being released from Wulfstan. There was no doubt in their minds he could destroy the City with one Blow from his axe due to how powerful he felt right now. And then suddenly, the intent was shut off, and Wulfstan returned to normal. He had only released a fraction of his killing intent so as to ensure that the dwarves did not perish out of terror.

"Please get up, I did not mean to drive you to your feet, I unwittingly took your lack of knowledge as sign of affront to the patron deity of all dwarves, though I should have remembered that you do not even know of his existence."

The dwarves rose up, significantly more wary, for they had realised that the person in front of them was someone who could be said to be on par with the Sorcerer King, that magnificently powerful undead who could do almost anything.

The Commander swallowed his pride and said "It is fine, I bid you to come with me to the Regency Council along with Lady Brythigga."

And so they went, to meet with the Regency Council, for it was one incredible thing to host an unreasonably powerful giant who claimed to be a sovereign, but it was entirely another when the aforementioned person claimed not only to be a sovereign, but to be of the same species as them, and the sovereign of all sovereigns of their species.

The commander waived the inspection for Wulfstan and Brythigga, clearly exercising his authority.

"Then, your lordship, my duty commands me to make a full report to the Council. May I request you to wait here for a while?"

There was no reason for Wulfstan to refuse the request, moreover upon consideration of the request It would be well if someone explained his sudden appearance to the Nation.

"Where should we wait?"

The commander glanced to one of the dwarf guards, and the man stepped forward.

"The waiting room is right yonder that way. Permit me to escort you there."

And so Wulfstan acquiesced to the guard and allowed himself to be led to the room, which was somewhat cramped. It probably would not have been cramped if he was not a Thane. He looked around and came to the conlusion this must have been the largest and most luxurious guest room in the building, the ornaments around them were all exquisitely crafted and looked as though they might actually come to life.

Though they still could not hold a candle to what Winterwind could produce, they were still pretty impressive and something he could proudly state was made by Dwarven hands.

He spoke to Brythigga "You must have noticed how weak the members of this World seem to be, yes?"

She nodded in the affirmative and said "It would seem that it is exactly so, though they spoke of that Sorcerer King person as if he was extraordinarily powerful, judging by their standards I'd assume him to be a specimen of level 50 to level 70. Though if he's a skeleton, that means he could be an Elder Lich or if sufficiently high level, an Overlord which would mean he's level 80+"

Wulfstan grunted in agreement and decided to inspect his attire to see if it was satisfactory royal for what a High King would appear to be, considering the requirements of the scenario, he stashed away the Skull of Markal in His Inventory and instead equipped the High Crown of the Forgemasters, a crown made of Scarletite and Star Silver which boosted his MP in similar vein to what the Skull did. It also had 40 runes on it which granted it mainly properties in the durability field.

He then wiped off the minute layer of Dust that had somehow found its way on to Fulmination, which he slung around his back into the exquisite jewel encrusted Apoithakarah Scabbard that had been constructed for the exact purpose.

Brythigga then equipped the Royal Cloak of Tuidhana, supposedly the ancient cloak of a dark elf Queen who turned away from the worship of forests and truly began what could be considered Dark Elf Society. It was very regal and constructed from the Scales of the Meteoric Turtle, a boss in Yggdrasil which was famous for having an unique move where it increased its defence, jumped into the sky, and crashed down like a meteor, causing a party wiping amount of damage to everyone in an area.

The Dwarven soldier sent to show them into the room arrived again just after the two of them has finished adjusting their attire.

Wulfstan was led to a room where the Dwarven Regency Council awaited his presence.

Splendacious in his complete Winterwind Panoply, Wulfstan decided to completely essay the role of a ruler and strode forth with his chest of considerable girth upthrust. His back was ramrod straight, his head was held high, and there was no doubt that his bearing could be considered one of a sovereign. The crackling radiance from the lightning in his eyes glowed, in ebb and flow, truly giving an impression of power.

He did not possess anything akin to what could be considered a royal sceptre nor anything similar but the crown he wore was enough for the purpose.

The Dwarves he encountered had turned somewhat pale, not exactly nervous but their postures could be considered apprehensive if not curious.

Of course, that could be accounted for seeing as to how he was not only a king, but one of their species whom they had never heard of before.

"Announcing the arrival of Wulfstan Thunderwind of Clan Winterwind, Arkath's Chosen, Lord of Lightning, Grandmaster of the Runemages, High King of the Runelords, and High King of the Dwarves."

He could hear the Dwarven announcer from the other side of the door. Wulfstan entered the chamber.

It looked like a conference hall, and there were seven dwarves there, with what appeared to be an empty seat as well. He had learned their names, posts, looks and features from the commander in chief.

Though he didn't speak it aloud, even among his race, famous for looking extraordinarily similar, these dwarves seemed to carbon copies of one another.

There was the High Priest of Earth, who controlled all magical affairs.

The Commander he had accompanied, who was responsible for military matters.

The Cabinet Secretary, who handled matters which did not fall under the jurisdiction of the other leaders.

The Brewmaster, signifying a leadership position of the Dwarf's favourite pastime of alcohol.

The Master of Caves and Mines, who could be said to have the most power due to his influence over mining.

And finally the Merchant's Guildmaster, whose guild could be said to have a rising fortune once more due to new trade relations with the Sorcerous Kingdom along with being in charge of foreign affairs.

These were the seven of them, originally eight, but the Forgemaster, incharge of Forges, had supposedly ran away from the nation, and he had not gleamed the reason yet.

Wulfstan decided to introduce himself with his primary title

"I am the ruler of the Great Forge of Arkath, the High King of All Dwarves, Wulfstan Thunderwind."

The Dwarves sprang into motion, seeing as to how courtly etiquette of inferiors not addressing kings directly was being satisfied. "We bid you welcome, ruler of the Great Forge of Arkath, your majesty Wulfstan Thunderwind. May we humbly offer you a seat? Along with a seat for your follower?"

Wulfstan nodded, and he was ushered to what could be considered the birthday boy's seat. He sat down with his bext approximation of regal aplomb, though he obviously could not be sure he had done it well.

And so the Dwarves gave their names which he slotted in his mind, and decided to instead refer to them by their Titles.

"Please allow us to welcome you to our Kingdom, though we must enquire if thou truly art one of Dwarven blood? Please do not consider this question to be borne of rudeness, but merely a humble request from us of your august person."

Wulfstan chuckled and said "If only to allay your fears, my brethren, I shall take on my original form, before I became a Thane" and so Wulfstan disabled his Thane oriented classes for the duration of the meeting, reverting him to a rotund dwarf all of four feet in height. While his regal bearing had most definitely not diminished, he noticed the tense expressions on most of the dwarves to be fading away.

"I see, We would be glad to be of service to Your Majesty – to the Great Forge of Arkath. However, before that, we pray that you can tell us the reason for your visit to our country. Unlike the visit of the previous sovereign, the Sorcerer King we do not have a briefing from the Commander."

The Master of Caves and Mines had spoken, and it was not hard to see his unyielding determination was palpable. But seeing as to how powerful a dwarf Wulfstan would have been described as, this mild hostility and suspicion was to be expected.

"Firstly, I would like to begin by stating that I do not wish to impose my sovereignty over this Dwarf Kingdom as well, my domain spans nearly the entirety of the country of Svartalfheim, with my capital being the Great Forge of Arkath. I may be the High King of all Dwarves in my worl…. Continent. But I do not think it can be justified if I were to become your sovereign as well."

The Regency Council nodded, it was good that they were not an item of conquest, which further alleviated their tension. But the fact Wulfstan had said continent cause them to raise their eyebrows in surprise.

Wulfstan considered how he could further explain his predicament without arousing suspicion to his otherworldly origins and decided that a forging experiment perhaps would make the most sense.

"As to how I came to be in the domain of your kingdom, I am not entirely aware, The Great Forge had just finished producing a large scale mechanical portal joining our capital with the capital of the Vassal State of the Hill Dwarves, Dwargon. As sovereign of the kingdom, It was within my royal duties to inaugurate the initiation of the functioning of the portal. It activated, but there seemed to be a problem. Being the Mightiest Warrior of the kingdom myself, I strode forward to perform…. Percussive Maintenance when suddenly I was teleported, along with companion Brythigga here."

The Regency Council nodded, somewhat in understanding, but more at the fact they were amused due to the utilization of percussive maintenance; truly indicative of the fact that Wulfstan was a dwarf, and not an impostor.

He continued, in the same regal voice "So I would pose this question you esteemed Dwarves, where exactly am I? How far is Svartalfheim from here?"

The Merchant's Guildmaster spoke "Pardon me, Your Majesty. While we have not heard of Svartalfheim, it would not be amiss to assume you are now in an entirely different continent. You are in the Dwarf Kingdom of the Azerlisia mountains, between the countries of the Baharuth Empire, whose capital is Arwintar and the Re Estize Kingdom, whose capital is Re-Estize.

To our south, we have the Sorcerous Kingdom, whose capital is E-Rantel. The Baharuth Empire is a Vassal State to the Sorcerous Kingdom, but this is only a recent development. We maintain trade relations with both the Empire and the Sorcerous Kingdom. To the South of the Re-Estize Kingdom you have the Slane Theocracy, a religious kindom which is bordered by the Elf Nation to the West and Draconic Kingdom to the East. To the Northwest of the Re-Estize Kingdom we have the Argrand Council State, ruled by several Dragon Lords, and having a multitude of races present there.

Further east of the Elf Kingdom, you have the Roble Holy Kingdom, which follows much of the same principles of the Theocracy but is separated."

Wulfstan did not recognize these names from any of the 9 worlds, so he was finally, thoroughly sure that this was infact a different world, a New One.

He proceeded to ask "Who are the rulers of these nations?" due to the fact that there was a possibility that there might be kings from Yggdrasil who had somehow been brought here as well.

The Guildmaster nodded in response to the query and said "The Baharuth Empire is ruled…. managed rather by the Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El Nix, who can be considered a very competent ruler. The Re-Estize Kingdom is ruled by King Rampossa the Third who is regarded as a weak but charismatic ruler. The Slane Theocracy's ruling structure is of the Pontifex Maximus at the very top, and directly below him 6 Cardinals.

The Elf Kingdom is ruled by a powerful Elf King, and the Draconic Kingdom by Queen Draudillion, who is said to be a satisfactory ruler. And as for the Sorcerous Kingdom, it is ruled by the Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown."

As soon as those three words were said, it was if the penny had dropped, several emotions flooded Wulfstan, he understood that it meant that some member of Ainz Ooal Gown had been brought to this New World, and this member had already setup a kingdom, when he had performed their final delivery a few hours prior to the end, the only one who had received them was the Guildmaster Momonga, with whom they had a relationship which could be described as business oriented and cordial and even borderline friendly.

He considered who could have donned the name of Ainz Ooal Gown and realised it must be Momonga himself, to mostly signal to other players of Yggdrasil who might have found their way to the world, that there were in fact other players. It was truly a name change whose intentions were backed by fiendish intellect.

And the more he heard of the details of the Sorcerer King's accomplishments he realised, Momonga must be an extremely smart individual to have been able to gain a city, ensure no rebellion, procure a Vassal State far larger than his own kingdom and more. Wulfstan was in awe that one person who merely played a game could be of such intellect and depth when brought to such unfamiliar circumstances. He had to meet Momonga if only for the reason that it was another player.

Wulfstan Spoke "I thank you for your assistance; I have decided that the best course for me would be to approach his Majesty, The Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown, he seems to be a Magic Caster of Unparalleled Talent and Intellect. He can perhaps aid me if in my quest to return to my kingdom."

"However" Wulfstan tightened his face and put on a serious expression, "Where are the runemages? The runesmiths? I See no evidence of their existence in this kingdom?"

The High Priest of Earth spoke, in a manner so as to not cause offence "There are no Runemages your majesty, perhaps your kingdom is far ahead in the development and utilization of runes then we ever were. But we have long switched over to Tier Magic and its enchantments.

The few runesmiths who remained, are now under the service of the Sorcerer King. Do not worry, he seems to be a magnanimous ruler, if that is possible of the undead and has merely taken them under his wing to supposedly regain the lost arts of runelore."

Wulfstan pondered this predicament, while he could not expect that Runes would forever stay a secret, this was an interesting development. Especially if Ainz knew of some lost arts. He would have to see what was happening with his own eyes.

He thanked the Regency Council for providing him with an escort to the external Fort they produced and considered what to do next.

He spoke to Brythigga "Well, this is interesting, atleast others like me have made their way to Yggdrasil, even if it is not Bregas nor Duncan. Though the fact that it is Ainz Ooal Gown scares me. They have a multititude of World Items, perhaps even two dozen, and who knows how many of them are of the Twenty."

Brythigga agreed, though she was but an NPC in Yggdrasil, she knew of Ainz Ooal Gown's existence and their fearsome reputation, it would not be wise to antagonise them in this world. Perhaps allying with them would even have benefits so she spoke "You're right you dolt, now transform back into your normal form, you look strange like this. While I am curious of these Dragon Lords of the Council State, the fact that one of your kind exists so close to our current location is not an opportunity we can pass up. We should make haste."

And so when they had made it past the gates of the fort, and the Dwarven Retinue, comprising the Regency Council as well, bid them farewell, both of them assumed their true forms, with Wulfstan enabling his Thane Classes again and Brythigga turning into a Black Dragon once more.

Their destination was E-Rantel, and their objective was to secure an audience with Ainz Ooal Gown or Momonga, a man who seemed to be of astoundingly fiendish intellect. But things were already in motion which could throw a spanner in their plans, namely, a certain mentally deficit Paladin. For Ainz was entertaining Remedios at that very moment.

And so a second chapter of The Lord of Storms takes place. Like I stated in the previous chapter, Wulfstan is not superior to Ainz by any margin, they are both in the same bracket, and if they were to duel, Ainz would probably win due to his superior tactics.

I'll probably be updating this somewhat frequently so be sure to be on the lookout.

Also, thank you for the reviews!

Wulfstan's friends may or may not be present in the New World too ;)

Here's Some Runemagic I've made for the Fanfic. I've tried to ensure it's not too op and fairly balanced :

Combat Runemagic :

Rune of Healing: Heals the Player for 15% of the player's original HP over 1 minutes

Rune of Initiative :The cooldown time for player skills is reduced by 20%

Rune of Channeling : At the end of every combat the player regains 100 Mana for every designated Ally standing in the aura of at least one of the player's rune, can refill the MP bar temporarily beyond its limits if sufficient allies are present.

Rune of Charge - Player speed increases by 100% until the end of the attack used in conjunction.

Rune of Berserking - Player will perform two Identical Attacks instead of one against the same target next attack. Can only be activated if at 70% or below of original health.

Rune of Exorcism - Dispels all the negative effects (debuffs) imposed on the player or selected entity (only those that can be dispelled basically). Chance of success depends on comparative statistics between the two parties involved.

Rune of Magic Control – Player or applied entity will have a chance to steal random positive effect imposed on the enemy target in attack once at the cost of losing a positive effect as well. If there are no positive effects affecting the player using this rune, the enemy's stolen positive effect does not apply to the player.

Rune of Etherealness – Player or applied entity gets immunity for any one particular skill utilised at the moment by hostile targets. Negates even skills which bypass regular immunities. Cooldown time is 500 hours.

Rune of Elemental Immunity - Player or applied target gets immunity to two random magical elements until the end of combat but can still take indirect damage. Costs 20% of the player's HP to utilize even if it is a different target.

Rune of Resurrection - Resurrects the selected target or the player themselves and brings it to 40% of its original health but can only be applied before combat commences. Cannot be applied during combat.

Rune of Thunderclap - Selected player or entity will have a chance to inflict the Thunderclap effect to the enemy in attack once causing cooldown timers for skills or spells to increase by 50%. The chance is dependent on comparative battle strength.

Rune of Dragonform – Player or applied target gets +100% to its Defense, +100% to its attack and +50% to magic-proof for a duration of time encompassing one attack it performs or one attack it receives. Cannot be applied on Draconic Entities. For the duration of the rune, reduces agility and resistance to 0.

Rune of Battle Rage – Player or applied target will have a chance to perform a Melee Attack against all nearby enemies once bypassing defense skills at the expense of one's own defense skill.
