Fake Karakura Town

Hisagi was barely conscious as he was sent flying backward by Ayon. The massive beast created by those three Arrancar women. At this moment in time Hisagi barely had enough consciousness in his mind, before he felt a blade stabbing through him, and then the pain began to vanish.

Hisagi looked to see Hanataro gripping him. 'I haven't seen him since he went to go train with Unohona. He seems different somehow.' Hanataro looked like he had put on a little height, still shorter than Hisagi but there was no denying based on the grip Hanataro had on Hisagi. The young medic had grown in strength.

The monstrous Ayon that dwarfed the buildings, was chimeric with its antlers, its nearly mouthless hollow mask, and large frame. It loomed over them before a massive stone fist sent it reeling back, the stone fist belonged to some kind of golem creature.

"Lieutenant Hisagi, here eat this pill. My Zanpaktou, it can heal injuries, but it can't restore spiritual pressure. You get the others out of here, me and Ganju will hold off the Arrancar." Hisagi was surprised by the amount of conviction in Hanataro's voice. Though he could tell that there was nervousness in Hanataro. But Hisagi reluctantly nodded knowing he would need some time to recover his energy before he could leap back into the fight.

He downed the pill and then went to gather his fallen comrades. Hanataro looked to Ganju who had let his hair grow out during their training, and though his outfit hadn't changed much aside from less baggy pants. The man had managed to get more muscle definition somehow.

"Well, it's just us, this big guy and those gals," Ganju said as he cracked his knuckles. "Hanataro, how do you want to do this?" Ganju asked as he kept an eye on the Arrancar chicks. They seemed rather annoyed at their pet being knocked back. Save for the lone one far away, overlooking them all. She was tall and statuesque, and even if it weren't for her spiritual pressure, Ganju could tell she was strong. She just had this demeanor to her, and with her blonde hair and piercing green eyes, and tan skin. She stood out among everyone else.

"Well, I think we should focus on the big guy first. But at the same time, do you think you can create more of those golems to keep those three Arrancar occupied?" Hanataro asked as he looked down at his Zanpaktou, which had changed during his training with Unohona. Where once it had one gauge down the middle it was now a segmented gauge with five sections. There was only a tiny sliver of red energy filling the gauge.

'Back then it would have filled the gauge all the way. But since I've gotten stronger, and Unohona's training kept me exhausting myself beyond my limits. All of Hisagi's wounds only amounted to five percent.'

"No, I can't create that many while also keeping the big golem up. It would take too much energy. So with that in mind, I think we might have to split up." Ganju said what Hanataro had feared would be the case.

"Okay, so you want to take the girls or the big guy?" Hanataro joked to ease the tension.

"Well, I've been wanting to get a workout. So while I'm sad that I don't get to live up to my reputation as a ladies man, I will leave those fine creatures in your care." Ganju said while flexing his arms, and giving Hanataro a wink.

Hanataro laughed, glad Ganju could still joke around. He then nodded to Ganju and high-fived him, briefly clasping hands. Their grips were equally strong, and they nodded to each other. Before letting go of each other's hand and going their own paths to their respective battles.

Hanataro could already hear Ganju's massive golem fighting Ayon. Feeling the impacts from here.

"Five Percent and Stable. Remember Master, you have more than just me to fight in battle. Good Luck."

Hanataro inhaled and exhaled, gathering his spiritual pressure. He knew that in a group fight, he needed to not let himself get pinned down. But more importantly, he needed to make sure they didn't team up against him. From what he could tell from initial first impressions, it seemed the three women were able to work together but had a bad habit of bickering.

But among the three of them, his first target was clear.

Sung-Sun sighed as she watched her comrades bicker, her long black flowing in the wind. It was something trivial, no doubt about how Ayon was fighting that giant golem. She didn't really pay attention to their inane arguments.

Her lavender eyes widened as an unknown reaper appeared in front of her suddenly, slashing his Zanpaktou across her throat. But she didn't feel any pain, instead, she felt a strange tingling sensation in her throat as he followed his slash up with a kick sending her flying back.

Apacci and Mila stopped their bickering and went to attack the strange individual. Sung-Sun tried to warn them to watch out for his strange blade, but she found that she wasn't able to speak. She gritted her teeth, as the soul reaper caught Mila's broadsword with his hand, and used his zanpaktou to stab the leg Appaci was kicking him with stopping her dead in her tracks.

She noticed that the hand that he was using to block Mila's broadsword had a green aura around it. Though red mist was emanating from his, just like red mist was emanating from Appaci's leg.

Hanataro knew he needed to keep a cool head if he was going to get out of this alive. He had struck the snake woman Arrancar first because he had seen that she seemed to not only be the one to chide the other two from bickering, but she also seemed more cunning than her compatriots.

When he had slashed her throat he had expended a little of the stored energy in the blade from injuries he had absorbed so far to layer a custom medical kido onto the blade. That way even when her wound closed up, the kido spell would still be active in her system. The custom medical kido was something he had picked up from Unohana.

It was a numbing/paralyzing kido, much like the medicine Shinten. But thanks to Hisagomaru's ability to use the built-up energy to enhance himself or his kido. Hanataro could make it stronger beyond what he might have been ordinarily capable of.

It had been a surprise to learn that Hisagomaru wasn't just limited to firing off all the stored up energy in one burst. But it could be in controlled amounts for different situations. Hanataro had to end up using three percent of the wounds he had absorbed from Hisagi, putting him back to two percent capacity.

Then when he caught Mila's broadsword, which was no easy feat considering he used some more medical kido this time to strengthen his hand's skin, muscles, and bones. But the impact still stung, and the blade digging into his hand was quite worrisome. But it did leave him able to counter Appaci's kick.

"Current Capacity at Ten Percent and climbing. I would recommend backing up now before the third one gets you from behind. Try not to take any more direct hits from that tall dark woman with the yellow mane, you about nearly lost your hand. Even if I can heal wounds now. I would rather not take chances."

'Noted,' Hanataro did so, using his flash step to get away from the two. Just in time to dodge a cero from an angry Sung-Sun. Hanataro used his flash step to go upwards in the air taking the time to look at his opponents again. They were all currently in possession of one arm each, he knew that.

Having listened to them somewhat, between all the arguing they had going on. He was able to put names to faces. The snake looking Arrancar who looked like some kind of Naga with pale white skin, a slender frame, lavender eyes, and flowing black hair was Sung-Sun.

The angry tomboy looking woman who had antlers, and brown fur across all her pale body save for her hands, and some cleavage and her face. Was Apacci, and she was glaring at him with two furious brown eyes. Her jaw-length black hair was frazzled. Hanataro had been sure before her resurreccion she had heterochromia, it seemed that had changed when she entered her current form.

And the final woman whose strength had nearly ripped his hand off was nothing short of Amazonian, towering over the other two. With dark skin, a more pronounced figure, dark green eyes, and carrying a large broadsword. She was very much the definition of a lioness with her mask's golden long mane that reached behind her all the way to her feet. It was layered over her luxurious chocolate brown hair.

Hanataro knew he needed to finish this fight as soon as possible, his custom kido wouldn't last on Sung-Sun forever. And the other two weren't as dumb as some might expect. He couldn't let them catch on to all his tricks just yet.

His gauge was still steadily rising. Thanks to his training to use Hisagomaru's healing ability without having to do direct contact. All he had to do now was fill up the gauge, he was drawing from the injuries of the other fallen soul reapers. Now he just had to figure out how to fight these three off while the gauge slowly filled up.

He heard the heavy sound of a sonido and a slithering noise. As Sung-Sun appeared above him, lashing out with two snakes rushing from her sleeves at him.

"Hado One: Sho!" Hanataro used the simple Hado to push away the snakes before he heard another sonido. He bent backward and a broadsword narrowly missed his nose. He grunted as Antlers pierced through his chest, red mist trailing from his chest as his gauge continued to fill up.

Apacci for her part grinned. 'Finally got that tricky son of a-' Her thoughts were cut off as Hanataro with her antlers still in him, gripped onto her antlers keeping them in place. Then before she could react, he forward flipped taking her with him and slamming her into Mila.

"Sorry," She heard the soul reaper say as a sickening snap occurred, and her antlers were now shorter. Only her rage numbed the pain of the loss of her antlers, and the fact he had turned her attack against her.

Hanataro flashed stepped before Sung-Sun could launch more snakes at him. Taking the Antlers out of his body when he had the time. She only narrowly managed to pull them away from attacking Mila and Apacci. Though Sung-Sun was more surprised at the fact that the small reaper seemed to somehow be faster than when he had first appeared.

When he had cut her throat, she hadn't reacted fast enough due to being caught off guard. But now it seemed like he was getting faster as time went on. 'It must be that zanpaktou of his if my assumption is correct. The green aura is something separate from his zanpaktou. Most likely tricky kido, but the blade. It didn't cut me, and the gauge is filled with red energy from red mist. So does this mean it gains power from healing? A curious ability for a weapon.' Sung-Sun's eyes widened as she came to a hypothesis. 'Could it be that he is using that built up energy to increase himself beyond his normal limits?' Her thoughts quickly went blank as a slash of green energy went through her, and she lost consciousness falling from the sky.

"Current Capacity at One Hundred Percent. Was it wise to use so much built-up energy to knock her out? Based on the analysis she will be out for a few hours. And you still have the other two to deal with. With the current amount of power stored, you could, in theory, knock the other one out using the shinten slice with the remaining power. But then you would have one left to contend with. And there is no telling what their superior will do afterward."

Hanataro nodded as he watched the other two, he winced a little as he heard Sung-Sun's body crash onto a building. He would've liked to catch her, but knew that if he let his guard down for a single instant. Then it would be over for him, and now his speed and strength would take a dive until he built up enough energy again.

But he could tell by the look in Mila Rose's green eyes, that she had started to figure out his trick. She would have to be the next one to go. But her and Apacci were now on guard more than ever. Hanataro clutched his zanpaktou and raised it into a defensive stance, it was now or never.

Apacci let out a scream as she began charging up a red cero on the tip of her central horn. While Mila began forming an orange cero on the tip of her blade. Hanataro knew he only had one shot at this. He kept up his defensive stance, even when the women fired their ceros at the same time, causing the orange and red to mix in a pale purple light that seemed to consume him.

When the smoke cleared, a body was seen flying through the air singed and smoked. And seemingly lifeless as it crashed into the ground leaving a crater. Apacci grinned. "Guess we showed him huh Mila. Mila?" She turned around to see an unconscious Mila falling to the ground. And Hanataro stood before her, and he stabbed his blade through her arms, at the elbow joints. Keeping her from using her arms. "How did you survive motherfucker?!" She roared how as she uselessly kicked at him, her legs creating red mist where she hit him. But she wasn't content as she struggled and kept kicking and trying to get her arms away, only filling the gauge up further at a rapid rate.

"I asked Mr. Urahara for a favor. And he let me grab one of his duplicate dolls, I used that to take your attacks head-on, and masked my spiritual pressure so I could sneak up on you." Hanataro explained, and Apacci's mind raced back to a meeting where Yammy grumbled about this Urahara pulling a similar trick. "I apologize," Hanataro said as he grabbed her leg, and held her in place as the gauge slowly filled up. Until one of the segments was complete, and then the blade flashed green as she was rendered unconscious. Hanataro took the blade out of her, red mist trailing behind it as her slight wounds healed up.

At the same time, he saw what could only be described as a geyser of blood. As he saw Ganju's golem tear Ayon in half, getting rid of the chimera hollow. Hanataro smiled even as he gathered up the three female Arrancar and put them together on a nearby rooftop. His gauge slowly filled as it absorbed Ganju's injuries.

"So you've defeated my Fracción. Impressive Soul Reaper." Hanataro felt a chill go up his spine, as he heard the deep voice of the woman who had been standing apart from all of them. Her potent spiritual pressure was far greater than the other three women he had just fought, and with his gauge still under a hundred percent, he didn't know if he could survive her onslaught. "One thing puzzles me however, you didn't kill them." Her voice held an odd edge.

"I am a healer not really a warrior," Hanataro answered her and turned around shakily. "I don't wish to fight, but if I have to. Then I will fight but in the way, I choose to, not any other way." He said with conviction. And he didn't know if it was his imagination, but the eyes of the Espada woman almost seemed to hold some respect for him.

"Do you have a name reaper? I am Tier Harribel, Tres Espada." She unsheathed her odd-looking sword that seemed to have a hollow center and was rather short compared to his zanpaktou but was much broader than his.

"Hanataro Yamada. Seventh Seat of Squad Four." He raised his zanpaktou up in a defensive block, as Harribel nodded, and then moved at such an insane speed. That Hanataro barely moved his blade to block her slash, which came from the side. He grunted surprised that his zanpaktou was still holding together from the massive impact of the slash. Which had been strong enough to leave a crater in the building, and send him flying through the air.

He was moving at such insane speeds, that the air pressure was keeping him from getting a steady grip. There was then a heavy sound as Harribel appeared right behind him, and elbowed him so hard in his back that he felt his spine give out. He then plummeted to the ground and would have likely ended up dead, were it not for two things at that moment.

The first was the fact that even as she hit him, Hisagomaru was absorbing his injuries. But even at the fastest pace, it would be a few minutes before the damage could be repaired. And secondly, a building-sized sand cloud cushioned his fall, stopping him from the fatal impact.

"Hanataro just rest for a moment, I will take it from here." Ganju could be heard cracking his knuckles as the bemused Espada looked down at him.

Elsewhere Hitsugaya was looking coldly at the scene unfolding before him. And unsheathed his blade ready to enter the fray. But an old strong hand stopped him from getting involved.

"This is their fight. Retsu trained them herself, and until they're unable to fight. We shouldn't get involved." Yamamoto said with a stern gaze.

"But the gap is so immense they will die!" Hitsugaya protested to the captain commander. Who merely looked on towards the fight, as Ganju conjured up several sand duplicates, and fired off barrage after barrage of rocky spikes.

Harribel easily dodged each and every spike, with her sonido. Ganju coated himself in sand particles, just in time as she appeared in front of him slashing at him, and to her surprise. His sand armor actually managed to spark, as her zanpaktou ground against it.

"Hmm, I see that you're not half bad yourself. Are you a soul reaper as well?" Harribel asked curiously.

"HEH Hell no. I am Ganju Shiba, of The Great House Shiba. And I hate shinigami. My Pal Hanataro though, probably the sole exception." He shouted boldly to the heavens. Harribel chuckled at his boisterous nature, he reminded her of her fracción.

"Well, Ganju Shiba, as entertaining as this is. I can't tarry here." She said as her blade glowed with yellow energy. She leaped back pulling her sword with her, wherein Ganju formed a heavy stone wall. "Ola Azul!" The yellow energy in the hollow shape of her blade lept out in a slashing manner, and its power was nothing to sniff at. As it easily tore through Ganju's wall, and he only barely managed to sidestep it.

'This chick is beyond strong. She makes Ayon look like a wimp in contrast. I think this is the part where I lose?' Ganju barely had any time to process as she appeared behind him, ready to deliver the final finishing blow. When her blade was intercepted by Hanataro's own blade.

Ganju's jaw dropped as he turned around looking at Hanataro who looked worse for wear. His blade had three whole segments on the gauge filled up. Though his pack was nowhere to be seen, it seemed it had been destroyed in Harribel's previous attack.

"Three Hundred Percent and Stable."

Hanataro panted as he was locked in a blade clash with Harribel, his injuries were fine of course. But he knew that if he didn't watch himself, it was very likely she would end up killing him here and now.

"Ganju," He spoke up, getting Ganju out of his stupor. "Get the area cleared, and stay back. I think I will have to go all out." He said with a strained smile. Before turning to Harribel. "Would it be rude to ask if he could do that? I just don't want anyone in the crossfire, and besides no matter who wins the war will still be going on." Hanataro asked the taller woman.

Harribel seemed to consider his proposal and shrugged. "Very well then, if you wish for a one on one duel with no bystanders, very well." She then looked at Ganju with the second most piercing stare he had ever seen in his life. "If you try anything funny with my fallen comrades, I will make you pay." Her voice was thick with a deadly promise.

"No, I'm not going to try anything funny!" Ganju waved his hands in a frantic manner, while Hanataro sighed with a sweatdrop.

"Ganju." He chided his friend just a bit. And Ganju took the hint and went to go do what Hanataro had asked of him. Once Hanataro and Harribel were truly alone once again, which took several minutes. Hanataro did a few stretches and then got into a defensive stance.

"I don't think any of your kido tricks will work on her. If anything you will need every bit of power you can muster. At least now you're on a slightly more even playing field."

Harribel made the first move, using her sonido to get behind Hanataro. Who turned around with surprising agility, stabbing through the hollow center in her blade right for her right shoulder. It pierced her, and the gauge went up a fraction before Harribel leaped back, withdrawing it from her.

'As the gauge fills up, the attacks get stronger and thus more damage is caused which causes the gauge to heal the injuries faster.' Even so, Hanataro knew that attack had only filled up ten percent, he would need at least nineteen more good hits, and couldn't rely on just letting his injuries fill up the gauge itself. His injuries didn't heal nearly as fast compared to other people's injuries that he absorbed, it was the tradeoff. The difference in speed might not seem like much to a stranger, but he knew in this battle that difference in speed could be the deciding factor of life or death.

"Based on your Zanpaktou's gauge, I guess that once the other two sections are filled. You will have reached the limit." Tier spoke, and Hanataro didn't comment on her question. He knew that right now, Five Hundred percent was the safety cap for Hisagomaru, and going beyond would put them at risk. "Well, then it's time I get truly serious." She unzipped her jacket, and then she held her blade with the tip pointing downwards. "Destroy… Tiburón." A mass of tremendous spiritual pressure filled the area, as a rush of water cocooned around Tier.

Hanataro took the lull in time to run his hand along the edge of his blade, wincing as it left a searing pain even as it healed his hand. It only managed to get him up to three hundred and fifty percent. The watery veil then lifted, revealing Tier in her new form, and without her monstrous hollow mask obscuring the lower half of her face. She could only be described as beautiful, Hanataro knew that this form was more than looks, the power on display was like nothing he could've imagined.

Her zanpaktou's shape had changed to that which looked like a giant shark's tooth that she easily gripped in one hand. She lowered her blade directly towards Hanataro. "Cascada." Hanataro was slammed by a tidal wave of water that seemingly appeared out of nowhere as the entire area of the city he was in was submerged in water. His body glowed red as the impact of the wave had shattered most of his bones, he was barely able to move in the water. And his lungs felt like they were on fire. If he hadn't the split reaction time to breathe in some air, and did his best to hold it in. He would've likely died instantly.

He felt a flash of white-hot pain across his back, as she appeared behind him cutting him easily. The ease in which she moved through the water was terrifying. She truly seemed like a great beast of the ocean, and he was stuck in her domain. 'If I don't get out of here, she will finish me off!' Hanataro knew he had to somehow make it out of here. Harribel went for another slash, but Hanataro clasped his hands together. 'Bakudo Twenty One Sekienton!" A cloud of crimson red obscured her vision in the water, as she narrowly missed where he had been.

'Clever.' Harribel mused as she couldn't detect his spiritual pressure, and then she ascended upwards through the water. Looking for Hanataro, as it seemed logical he would go back to the surface where there was plenty of oxygen. But when she went above the water, he was nowhere to be seen.

For Hanataro hadn't gone upwards, but rather below. To one of the destroyed buildings, thanks to his training with Unohana his stamina and lung capacity had improved tremendously. And with a supplemental custom kido, he was able to create a small pocket of air in the destroyed building. It wasn't too large, but it gave him the chance to finally catch his breath. And let Hisagomaru continue healing up his wounds. 'It's really fortunate that Sekienton is blood red, letting my blood mix in with the color of it. And given its quick-acting nature, there won't be a trail leading to my hiding spot.' Hanataro grunted as he felt an odd pull, and then noticed an underwater tornado was forming sucking in everything towards it.

'Crap! She must have realized I was hiding somewhere, the force of that whirlpool if I get caught up in it. I won't be able to escape her!' Hanataro grimaced as he held onto a window frame. He needed just a little longer for Hisagomaru to heal his wounds. Every precious second counted towards the gauge being filled closer to its maximum safe capacity. But if the building he was in started to shift, a sign of the whirlpool growing strong enough to start pulling in buildings. He knew that five hundred percent wasn't going to be enough to fight her.

Still, five hundred percent was better than nothing. 'I hate to ask any more of you Hisagomaru, but…'

"Master you know I will always be there for you."

Hanataro smiled as the bladed glowed bright red, filled all the way up, and radiating so much heat that the very water around it was boiling. Hanataro used his flash step technique to leap out of the water, amazed at how fast and agile he had gotten now that he was at five hundred percent.

He, however, was still paying attention as he narrowly dodged some water bullets being fired at him from Harribel.

He knew that he couldn't let himself get sent back underwater, but that didn't mean he was safe above water either. He almost didn't hear her sonido over the roaring of the whirlpool still in the water. He blocked her weapon with his and held his ground as she attempted to shove him back into the water.

"I am impressed Hanataro. You've certainly held your own, and it's likely that if we kept up this fight as it is. You would slowly try to either beat me in Attrition or pull up one final trick. But I am afraid I must truly end this." She said pushing him backward with force, sending his feet skidding along the water's surface.

Hanataro panted as he felt his arms faintly burning, as they were repaired by Hisagomaru only giving him three percent.

"We Arrancar have many potent abilities, you've seen my Cascada and the ability to manipulate water. That is unique to me, but there is something unique to all Espada. And were this in Las Noches I would be forbidden from using it." Hanataro was blindsided as the water rose a level, and it clenched around his feet keeping him in place.

He then noticed her spiritual pressure flaring up as she brought up her free hand that wasn't wielding her blade, and bit into it releasing some blood. But the blood didn't drip into the water as one would expect, instead, it began to swirl in the air around a yellow looking cero, as it spiraled mixing in with the blood.

"This is Gran Rey Cero. The most powerful Cero an Espada can use outside of their released state. Farewell Hanataro." She then fired the extremely potent gran rey cero onto him, and the sheer power of it caused the water to ripple violently, and evaporate.

But Hanataro stood his ground, as he held his blade resolutely, a faint green aura surrounding him even as he could only see yellow all around him. He knew that this was going to hurt tremendously but he bore the pain, as Hisagomaru's gauge filled steadily. Little cracks began to appear, as time became an afterthought to Hanataro. Using his own spiritual pressure to keep up a barrier that kept the gran rey cero from completely obliterating him, but leaving enough so he could allow himself to be injured and those injuries would be fed to Hisagomaru.

It was a tough balancing act of also managing his spiritual pressure to not exhaust himself. And by the time the smoke cleared out, Hanataro was standing shakily with several serious wounds over his body, and his black kosode utterly destroyed leaving only the white shitagi worn and tattered.

"Warning at Critical levels. Energy Stored at One Thousand Percent."

Hanataro could feel the blade searing his hands as he held it, but he was still alive and standing. And Harribel was stunned at the tenacity of her opponent but based on the heavy amount of sweat, and the fact his blade looked like it was barely holding itself together. He wouldn't last much longer.

"You've fought well Hanataro." She said as the last of the steam of what was once the ocean faded, evaporated from the sheer power of her Gran Rey Cero. "Know that I Tier Harribel acknowledge you as a worthy opponent, and I will finish you off with my most powerful technique, a technique that only I and three others have truly mastered, and only the Espada are capable of doing in their released forms." She held up her Sharktooth blade, and the area around them immensely darkened, as a black and yellow cero formed at the tip of her blade. "Cero Oscuras." The entire area became enveloped in the dark yellow energy, as Hanataro was seemingly gone for good this time.

But in that split second before the cero hit him, he acted on instinct. And stabbed his blade into his own body, much to Hisagomaru's shock.

"MASTER WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! YOU KNOW I CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE ENERGY PAST ONE THOUSAND PERCENT!"

'You can't but I can... Zanpaktou and Soul Reapers are often said to be one and the same. And we're partners, and so I WILL SHARE THE BURDEN WITH YOU!' Hanataro let out a mighty yell, as red cracks began to appear on his body, as he began taking in stored energy from Hisagomaru, going to his own threshold.

"One Hundred Percent"

"Two Hundred Percent"

"Three Hundred Percent"

"Four Hundred Percent"

"Five Hundred Percent"

"Six Hundred Percent"

"Seven Hundred Percent"

"Eight Hundred Percent"

"Nine Hundred Percent"

"One Thousand Percent. Total Energy Stores at Two Thousand Percent."

Hanataro knew that this was the max he could take, and it was time for his final trump card. He hadn't used it at any point in the fights he had been in. Because of one fatal weakness in his final trump card, while he had been able to train himself to use his Zanpaktou past its critical stages more than once.

This next maneuver would ensure that at best he wouldn't be able to use his zanpaktou again for a full day, or at worst at the current state he was in, an entire week or more. "Hisagomaru, Overcharge times five!" He barely managed to scream out while being slowly consumed by the Cero Oscuras.

"Acknowledged. Switching to Overcharge mode times five!"

He took his blade out of his body, and then it glowed a bright red. It began to change shape in his hands, and he struggled against the torrent of the cero oscuras to lift up the elongating crimson shape, and then he lifted his other arm and gripped it as the final shape revealed itself.

His zanpaktou had taken on a new form, in the emergency release mode, it was often a scalpel. Its default mode was a standard katana with a gauge. But in the overcharge mode, it took on the form of an extremely long metallic grey and black sniper rifle, with no scope, and on the end of the long four-foot barrel, was a single bayonet, and placed near the sights was five glowing red dots.

Harribel could feel his energy rising, and put more energy into her ongoing cero. But she noticed that in the darkness of the oscuras, there he was burning a crimson red, his aura like fire, he seemed more fire than man at that point. Meanwhile, the red dots on Hanataro's rifle began to go black, as they were used up.

"Overcharging successful. Calculated Energy Storage at Ten Thousand Percent. Aiming Mode Initiating."

Hanataro's right eye soon became emblazoned with scarlet crosshairs, as he took aim for where he could feel Harribel's spiritual pressure the strongest.

"Target Acquired!"

Hanataro pulled the trigger, and the resounding boom of his overcharged shot could be heard. As the Cero Oscuras disappeared. And Hanataro was left holding his oversized rifle, panting while a stunned Hitsugaya was left looking at the remnants of the fight. He did notice faintly that Harribel was falling out of the sky, missing an arm. And Hanataro moved to catch her.

"Leave them be. He has won his fight and has the right to decide what happens to his opponents. And whatever happens next whatever it be, he will have to face what comes next." Yamamoto stated and Hitsugaya knew there would be no arguing with the captain commander.

After Ichigo Arrives.

Hanataro hadn't really paid attention when Ichigo had shown up for his big climactic fight with Aizen. Hanataro had been far too busy healing the injured combatants still alive and unable to fight. He knew the fight was still ongoing, but Hanataro knew that he couldn't get any more involved without getting in the way, he couldn't use his zanpaktou as little more than a big gun to whack people with or try to stab with the bayonet.

"You could have killed me with that last attack. Why didn't you?" He heard the soft voice of the barely conscious Tier Harribel.

"I am a healer, not a killer," Hanataro replied as he took off his white shitagi, and laid it over Harribel's torso which was mostly healed by now thanks to his efforts.

"You're a strange one, and why cover me with your clothes?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, I figured you would like some modesty," Hanataro said with a straight face. And for once in possibly her entire life. Harribel blushed somewhat while looking the other way.

"I'm grateful it was you I lost to I suppose. And my followers are they okay?" She asked wondering what had become of Mila, Sung-Sun, and Apacci.

"Ganju will be bringing them here at any moment. I just had to clear it with Captain Unohana first." Hanataro said while sitting back and covering himself with a green aura as he worked on healing what remained of his injuries.

"You're not worried that we won't just attack you again?" Harribel questioned half-heartedly. She thought the young healer was naive, and yet she couldn't deny that he possessed a noble heart. It was admirable in a lot of ways.

"Well after Aizen called all his Arrancar trash. I don't think we have to worry about you fighting for him anymore. Though I suppose you could fight for yourselves, though as it is at the moment. With that Shikai of his, there is no telling if you would actually be fighting him in person." Hanataro sighed. "Seriously why does he have to have such a busted shikai, I am half convinced he said it was just shikai to mess with us. Wouldn't be surprised if that is actually a Bankai."

"You're one to talk Hanataro. I thought that rifle was your Bankai." She said and his eyes drifted to his rifle and then he shyly laughed.

"Fair enough." He said with a smile and went back to thinking. Hanataro was cut off from his musings as Ganju arrived with the women slung over his broad shoulders.

Ganju carefully laid the fraccion down next to Harribel.

"You have a point, Hanataro. Still, do you honestly think Soul Society will let us leave here alive?" Harribel asked seriously and Hanataro looked downcast before a kind hand placed itself on his shoulder.

"Hanataro dear, why don't you tend to the Vizard next. I will keep watch over our Espada Patient." Hanataro nodded and bowed to her, and turned to Harribel one more time before leaving.

"Thank you for the fight Harribel." He said with honesty, and Harribel smiled as he left.

"You're right to be afraid Espada, and yet at the same time. Ichigo has changed Soul Society down to its core, from people like Hanataro rising to the occasion to Yamamoto working with former exiles. Perhaps you will be permitted to live." The motherly Captain sat next to Harribel, as the two watched the rest of the battle unfold. Though Harribel's eyes did search around for the strange medic, as he worked diligently to provide aid wherever he could.
