Prelude 1:

Villain Kids' Past

Cloud layer of Jupiter, Ministry of Fates and Destinies, 1st floor, Great Hall of the Fates, May 30, 2015 15:00

At the front of the Great Hall of the Fates was the High Dais and at the zenith of the High Dais, which was about twenty times the height of the tallest tower at Beast's Castle in Auradon City, was the High Table and seated at the High Table was the Council of Fates and Destinies, twenty-five of the most powerful beings in the universe: to the immediate right of what obviously Lady Fatea's seat was her husband the Supreme Military Governor's empty seat. To his seat immediate right sat Lady Clotho, Lady Lachesis, and Lady Atropos. To Lady Atropos' immediate right sat Lady Urðr, Lady Verðandi, and Lady Skuld. To Lady Skuld's immediate right sat Lady Nona, Lady Decima, and Lady Morta. To the immediate left Lady Fatea's seat sat Lady Shai and Lady Hemsut. To Lady Hemsut's immediate left sat Lady Diana, Lady Luna, Lord Apollo, Lord Helios, Lady Neaera, Lady Aurora, Lady Sol, Lady Athena, Prometheus, Lady Phoebe, Lady Hecate, and Lady Roma. All of the Councilmembers arose from their seats as Lady Fatea and the Supreme Military Governor walked briskly towards their respective seats and sat down, signaling to everyone else to sit down. Once everyone was seated on the long couches that dominated the ground floor of the Great Hall of the Fates in long rows wide enough for ten people to stand shoulder to shoulder between them, every eye among the Council's guests turned towards the High Dais where the Councilmembers looked down at them with obvious disappointment in their eyes. It's clear that the AKs, four VKs and the Heroes have something to disappoint them, but even Mal couldn't put a finger on what it was.

Finally, the Supreme Military Governor spoke up in his usual calm voice. "We have gathered you all here to watch a trilogy of three movies that center on the four Kids from the Isle of the Lost in order for all of you to better understand each other."

At this, chaos gripped the assembly as the group began to whisper in a fearful manner amongst themselves, in particular the VKs and their AK friends. But it all calmed down when Lady Fatea loudly cleared her throat. When all was quiet once again, it was she who spoke this time with an regel edge to her kindly voice. "The first movie called Descendants lasts approximately 124 minutes and is set in the present day until after Young Prince Ben Coronation. The second movie called Descendants 2 lasts approximately 101 minutes and is set about two years in the future. The third and final movie lasts approximately 124 minutes and is set from about three and half to four and half years from now and it will cover Ben and Mal's wedding and the birth of their daughter."

Chaos once again took over the assembly. Some, like Queen Leah and Chad, were throwing venomous remarks at the VKs, others, like Mal, Ben and his parents, were merely trying process the immense information dump that was Mal was going to give birth to a daughter in about four and a half years, while still others, like Evie, Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Jane, Fairy Godmother and Lonnie, were fangirling about the fact that Ben and Mal where going to get married and will have a daughter. But it all calmed down when Mal loudly cleared her throat and glared at everyone with a look that reminded some of the heroes of King Adam when he was still a beast that it was frightened everyone into silence. However, Mal surprised everyone excluding herself and her mate by simply saying in a no-nonsense tone of voice, "we will watch this movie trilogy as it might talk some sense into some people who might use it as ammo for bullying my family and I that we aren't our parents." Turning toward her father who looked very proud of her, she continued her train of logic, "although I have to ask Daddy: how will we remember the information we are about to see when we leave to return to our reality?"

But while Mal stared up at her dad waiting for him to answer her question, she ignored all of the looks of pure shook that everyone was giving her except for Ben, who was totally relax, and Audrey, who was mustering her courage to actually apologize to both Ben and Mal. It was not so much her statement followed by her question that shocked everyone there except for the Councilmembers, who looked like they'd been expecting it and were debating amongst themselves who should answer her question, no it was the way she asked her question, the way a soldier might ask a superior officer for authorization. It was Fairy Godmother who broke the silence rather than one of the Councilmembers, however, as she both stated and answered Mal's statement and question respective. "I assure you, Mal, that I will not be allowing anyone to bully you four children when we return to Auradon Prep," she said to the Purple haired sixteen-year-old girl who just nodded her head in response to that statement before FG carrying on talking to her daughter's pseudo sister, "and I'm sure that the Council of Fates and Destinies have their own brand of magic that will protect the information from being erased from our minds so that we don't think that this viewing is just bad dream and undo all the progress that we've made in understanding each other."

Mal once again could only nod her head before Audrey caught her and everyone else's attention by clearing her throat loudly enough that the entire Great Hall had to turn heads in her direction as she where an alien from Venus that had just descended from her spaceship to mingle with the mere humans. Aurora upon seeing her daughter stand up and walk over towards were Mal and Ben sat on the front row of couches with a look on her face that surprised Aurora, Philip and Leah who was still glare at Mal as if she were Maleficent herself: a look of guilt and shame. "Mal, Ben," said Audrey in a low quiet voice that was so out of character for her that it surprises everyone who know her, "I'd like to apologize to both of you for my behavior towards you since the Villain Kids' arrival at Auradon Prep. I was just afraid of what Grammy would have done if I became friendly to her sworn enemy. I hope that someday you will forgive me."

But before Mal could say anything, she looked up at the High Dais at the Councilmembers and saw they were getting annoyed at the constant interruptions and grabbed Audrey by both arms and pulled her down causing her to sit next to her and Ben. When everyone including Audrey looked questioningly at her, Mal simply tilted her head towards the Councilmembers in answer. With every eye in the audience on them, the Councilmembers all tried and absolutely failed to mask their annoyance behind their patented mask of calm neutral facade, but ultimately failed to do so as their faces were nearly cracked open by their annoyed expressions. "Now, if we are quite done with the interruptions," said Lady Fatea all the while glaring at them all, "we have a few rules for you lot to follow: firstly, there will be no yelling insults at anyone during the viewing of the three movies. Secondly, you will not be allowed to get up from your seats until the end of each movie. Thirdly, there will be a restroom break at the end of the first two movies. And finally, you will be allowed to talk amongst yourselves in whispers just keep it down, ok…good."

And with that, a 50-foot wideX25-foot tall TV screen rose up from the middle step that was between the audience and the Councilmembers. Most of the Heroes and their kids were shocked at what was playing on the widescreen tv.

"Dalmatians!" Carlos swore as alarm bells sounded throughout the building that he was in.

"Dalmatians?" Lonnie asked of the VK in question as he wasn't a dog hater…or was he?

"His Mother taught him that all dogs are vicious pack animals that eat little boys who misbehave." Ben answered in Carlos' stead as the boy in question was too red in the face from embarrassment of his old swearword being broadcast to the whole school.

Jay came running down the hallway of the rundown building they were in.

There was no doubt in the minds of the Heroes and their kids that they were seeing the Isle and its condition for the first time. Although Ben didn't seem surprised by it.

"RUN FOR IT!" Jay yelled, not even slowing down to wait for Carlos. Carlos turned to see what Jay was running from. As so as he saw what or rather who it was, he took off like bunny rabbit being chased by a hunter.

Carlos screamed as he ran past Jay, yelling that he was going kill him someday for this. The two boys raced through the ratty street of the Isle with two descendants of Rosco and DeSoto as well as Gaston's hunting dogs hot on their trail.

"OH. MY. GODS." Jane said in terror as Carlos was the nicest person Jane know at Auradon Prep, if you don't count the few times where Audrey would help her get back up after someone tripped her and sent her books flying, heck even Ben and the other three VKs were nicer then Chad and far few of the Tourney players were most of the time.

Speaking of Chad...

"Get 'em." The Blond-haired Prince said to the TV screen earning him a look of hatred from Jay, Lonnie, Mal, Ben, Evie, Doug, Adam, Belle, Fairy Godmother, King Charming, Queen Cinderella, Aurora, Phillip, Jane, and surprisingly, Audrey, basically everyone who was on Team Bal and by extension Team VK was glaring at him but couldn't do anything more than that at the moment.

"You just had to steel from Mr. Sikes and Gaston smuggling Inc., didn't you?" Carlos glared at Jay every chance he got as the two boys darted in and out of shops and weaved their way the streets of Villainberg, the only permanent major city on the Isle of the Lost.

"Come on Carlos get real here. Word on the street is that there is a way off this Hades pit that's only known to those two scoundrels. Whether it's a rumor or not, I could take that chance. Besides, Mal would kill me if I didn't at least try to find a way off this Hades pit of an Island." Jay and Carlos pushed past a vendor and knocked over the boxes of supplies that were laned up outside his shop in an effort to slow down the vicious dogs, but it was all for not as the dogs in question kept on their tails.

"Jay," Mal grumbled into her hands, "I'm not your dad for Gods shake, I wouldn't have killed my enforcer. I just would have been highly disappointed in you."

"I know that, Mal." Jay muttered from the corner of his mouth back at her, "I just wanted Carlos to realize the gravity of the situation."

"And it clearly worked." Adam said to both of them with a chuckle which in turn caused the two VKs to freeze up for a moment before laughter erupted from their friends/family.

"Well did you learn if it was true or not," Carlos asked the older teen his anger the older boy completely forgotten as the idea of getting off the Isle was like a dream come true for him.

"Does it look like I did?" Jay asked indicating the pack of vicious dogs, "I was caught by Gaston and Mr. Sikes before I could find out whether or not it was."

And Carlos realized that his dreams of getting off the Isle were never going to come true as Auradonians only sent their trash to the Isle.

"You guys do realize that if we had known that you lot wanted off the Isle so much," Ben said his voice filled with emotions that nobody could place, "we would have gotten you guys off long ago."

"Well we didn't know that, Ben," Mal said with a sad smile, "but thank you for your kind words."

At that little statement, the Royal Families of Auradon look at her with sadness written all over their faces but their attention was drawn back to the TV screen just in time to witness what happened next.

Carlos and Jay both saw Forbidden Castle up ahead and ran up to a metal grate in the base of the outer certain wall which led to the Castle's basement where the two remaining VKs were waiting for them. Both Mal and Evie looked up at the boys expectedly as if they were expecting them much later which they probably were.

"What did you two do?" Evie asked them very slowly but also very excitedly, "Is it true? Are we going to out of this Hades pit of an island? Please, please, please say yes."

"Sorry to burst your bumble, Evie," Jay said to her, "but I got caught by Gaston and Mr. Sikes and had to abort the planned evacuation of the children of the Isle."

One could hear a pen drop; it was that silent in the Great Hall. The heroes and the AKs couldn't have believed that four VKs had planned to evacuate all the Isle's children, while the VKs were looking anywhere but the Heroes and AKs.

"We've been planning Operation Cinderella all month." Mal snapped at Jay, "the only reason we left Carlos out of loop is because his mother hasn't let him out her sights until today, oh and Shrimpy could have followed you guys and told mother our planned evacuation of the Isle's children and I would have been killed by mother's own hand for being weak and treason against the Kingdom of the Isle of the Lost and every tenth member of the evacuees would have been kill."

There was silence among the assembly watching this documentary did so with wide eyed horror and fear and mistrust and hatred among some of their numbers **cough, cough, Leah and Chad and their few allies, cough, cough**. The Kingdom of the Isle of the Lost? Was that what the Isle Kids call their former homeland?

"Alright," Jay snapped back at her, "I get that you want to get off the Isle as soon as possible, but this operation isn't going work out for six reasons. First of all, this is the fourth attempt to evacuate the children and cripple the military of the kingdom down to five percent. Second of all, the Isle children are losing hope of getting off the Isle fast after the last attempt failed spectacularly. Third of all, even if we did pull it off, we would be sent back as disobedient runaway children and we will all die all the same. Fourth of all, I got caught before I could have found out the truth of the rumors. Fifth of all, there are dogs outside and Carlos fears the animals. And sixth and last of all, it is late."

"Fine, Mr. Smarty Pants," Mal said to the shock of the other VKs before she pouched him clean in the jaw, "you are relieved from Operation Cinderella command staff."

"M," Evie said in a cautious tone of voice as she was the first to recover from her shock, "he wasn't trying to be insubordinate to you, he was stating the facts."

"Fine," Mal said, "we won't do it and Livy will have to die in the Hades training camp life along with two-thirds of Isle's current recruitment list which we barely survived. I thought you were all better than this better than our parents. Guess I was wrong to trust you three to be on my side."

"Mal," came three shocked voices.

She gave no response as she left the basement and entered the training yard of the Forbidden Castle and began beating the living tarp out of the straw dummy that look a lot like Prince Philip and Princess Aurora during their victory dance over Maleficent with a golden iron spear. Six times she removed a limb from the dummy and by the sixth time the dummy was on the ground. The words "stupid", "useless", "unreliable", and "unworthy" all left her mouth.

"Mal," Belle said to the girl in question, "there was no need for snapping at and calling your friends no better than their parents and then walking out on them. True, what you said would've happened if Ben hadn't persuaded Adam to allowing you four Isle children into coming over from the Isle but there was no need to be rude about."

Mal didn't give any sign that she had heard Belle. As if putting distance between herself and the royal family not already by her side would lessen the pain of the upcoming insults when the movie revealed their parents plan to invade Auradon…not! She just didn't want admit that she was in the wrong.

"Got to get Livy out of here, and they don't want to do out of fear of my Mother finding out," Mal mutters to herself after cooling some her tempter on the straw dummy, "and it's easy for 'em to say as they don't have a baby sister to save from certain death."

There was an uproar at this as the three VKs that were Mal's friends/surrogate siblings, Royal Families of Auradon, the AKs and the Councilmembers were enraged that Mal saw her friends/surrogate siblings as not motivated to help her smuggle her baby sister off of the self-styled Kingdom of the Isle of the Lost. After letting them carry on for five or so minutes, Mal teleported herself, Ben, and Audrey upstairs to the balcony that overlooked the Great Hall, which is where the three of them would remain for the rest of the current movie or when cooler heads prevailed while the rest of the assemblage was busy throwing what Mal took as insults. In reality through it was more of an angry outburst at her comment about her friends/surrogate siblings. They had noticed Mal's overly protective nature, but it was overshadowed by her comment about her friends/surrogate siblings.

"Mal," Audrey said nervously, "I know you're mad at everyone down there but is it really necessary to teleport us up here? I mean Grammy and my parents are probably going the first ones to notice that we're gone from our seats in the front row."

True to Audrey's prediction, a scream of "where's Audrey?" erupted from Leah, Aurora and Philip followed by a "where's Ben?" from Belle and Adam followed by a "where's Mal?" from the rest of VKs and AKs. Mal and Ben just chuckle at their friends.

Fortunately, for the three's friends, they realized that Mal took their outrage as insult throwing. And they along with the rest of the audience began to calm down enough to actually watch the movie. When Mal felt that was safe for herself, Ben and Audrey to return to their seats, she teleported them back with Audrey having little highlights of purple in her hair which no one noticed until the allotted restroom break.

Mal is next seen in her baby sister's nursery humming to little Maliva, who looked like a baby version of Mal (green eyes and dark purple hair), a lullaby.

Mal:

Sweetie, don't cry mommy here for you.

It's time for you to close your eyes, dear-heart.

It's going to be alright, mommy's got you sweetheart.

It's time you close your eyes sweetie.

Sweetie mommy is here for you…

There was a great aw from every woman and even a few men in the audience while Mal blushed as red as a ripe tomato. Ben just chuckled lightly at Mal's reaction.

"Mal," came Maleficent voice from downstairs causing both Mal and her sister to jump with Maliva screaming loudly after being scared their own mother, "I'm going out on the town. You are in charge of the dreadful creature tonight don't blow it."

"dreadful creature?" Fairy Godmother ask as through it hurt to hear those words used to describe such an adorable little one.

"Mom's not a fan of raising children," Mal said to the shock and horror of everyone not from the Isle, "including her own, so the fact that she could have someone else babysit her kids always made her very happy. Usually I got stuck with tending Livy in the afternoon after getting back from my duties in the Isle's military, which mainly involves overseeing the training of the next generation of villains…"

"WHAT?" Adam yelled.

'oh shit, I guess I am going back to the Isle sooner then I planned for,' Mal thought to herself, 'I guess I've got come clean.'

But fortunately, for her through, Ben came to her rescue.

"Dad," Ben said in a dangerously calm voice, "Mal's getting uncomfortable by your yelling and probably thinks that you guys are getting ready to ship her back to Isle. For Gods shakes Dad, you're not a beast anymore."

"I am sorry, Mal," Adam said after picking his jaw off the floor, "I shouldn't have yelled it. After all, as Ben kindly pointed out, I am not a beast anymore."

"Thank you, your Majesty," Mal said, "for your kind apology."

Mal still wasn't used to apologies and complements as she had never made her birthgiver proud enough to earn her full first name…not that she wanted to anymore but her birthgiver had her on a long leash so that she couldn't do anything but complete the stupid steal the magic wand mission.

"OK, Mom, see you later," Mal yelled, "don't have too much fun terrorizing people."

"Is that your mom does all day every day," Audrey timidly asked Mal.

"Yep," the girl in question answered her formerly biggest rival for Ben's affection, "one-time mom came home at near eight in the morning having spent the night before beating up anyone caught outside their home doing anything from little kisses to full blown make out seasons in allies. If she caught you doing anything lovey-dovey then you would black and blue."

There was silence so thick one could cut it with a sword. Mal gulped as she thought that she had crossed a line with her statement but in reality, it was her casual reference to Maleficent's anti-love attitude that caused the Great Hall to fell silence.

"Mal," the Supreme Military Governor said to his sixteen-year-old demigoddess daughter, "Maleficent isn't your mother. Instead, your mother is Aurora but you were kidnapped by the so-called reform villains and Maliva is a clone of you created via black magic and sorcery as an insurance policy should you die before your twenty-first birthday. Oh, and Audrey is your younger twin sister."

Again, the Great Hall was silent as everyone there (not including the Councilmembers, of course, as they had known this little information) tried to wraps their heads around the revelations that Mal and Audrey were twins and add in the fact that Mal had a clone of herself who was disguised as her much younger sister. Aurora, Philip and Leah had their collective jaws on the ground.

"WHAT?" yelled Mal and Audrey once they recovered from the shock of the biggest reveal of their young lives.

"It's true, my dears," Lady Fatea said in an attempt to bring order to the Great Hall, "after ten long years of searching for young Mallory as they know you as, Mal, they gave up on the hope that you would be returned to them."

"Maleficent is," Mal ground out, "going to pay for lying to me about being my mother and about my daughter being my sister."

"Agreed," said all of the Heroes, "she isn't going to get away with this outrage."

"Mal," Ben said into her right ear, "please, don't let revenge cloud your judgment, I don't want to lose your kind and gently nature to a revenge spree."

"Oh, Benny," Mal said in reply, "I promise to not let revenge control me in anyway, but Maleficent isn't let her guard down as she holds my daughters live in her hands. If she doesn't get what she desires most, Livy will die."

"WHAT," came the yell from every Hero and AK in attendance for the viewing.

"Can we just watch the movie alright?" Mal timidly asked the Heroes and the AKs in the audience who agreed to let the matter drop for now.

"Great Gods above and below the Earth," Mal groaned while trying to claim the crying Maliva down, "Maliva Red-Rose, please claim down, mommy here for you."

This claimed the baby down enough that Mal could finally put her sister to sleep in her crib. And she finally turned her attention to the doorway where Jay, Evie and Carlos all stood ramrod straight awaiting her judgment like disobedient soldiers about to be court martialed for insubordination and almost mutiny.

"I'm not going court martial the best staff this side of the Kingdom of the Isle of the Lost," Mal told them with finger jabbing each one of the three in the chest, "but due your actions earlier this afternoon, Jaydan and Carlos Oscar De Vil, I'm forced to take your spears and assign you, two clowns, to training with the newbies starting in the morning while Evie Queen, for back talking to your commanding officer, you will be on kitchen clean up duty for the next six day starting in the morning. Am I understood?"

"YES MA'AM," the three answered in unison before Jay and Carlos handed over their spears.

"Why did you just take their spears," Ben ask Mal, "when you could have taken them their parents? I mean it's good that you're lenient towards them, but it's should be their parents' job to punish them."

"Ben, if I had taken them to Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella," Mal said to him with a sigh as he had asked the very question that she had that no one would ask, "they wouldn't have survived to make it to Auradon General Hospital even if the ambulance got to the scene and no one would call the hospital of the country that was responsible for imprisoning everyone on the Isle."

"Mal is right, Ben," Adam said to the shock of all of the other heroes, "I'm sure that you are think that the Isle is the same as Auradon in that the Villains would love their kids as much as us heroes love you kids, but if Maleficent is any indication, the Villains don't love their kids."

"oh," was all Ben could say before the Supreme Military Governor cleared his throat causing everyone to turn towards the Councilmembers.

"Now on to the main feature of the movie," he said with a chuckle, "for this part was the prelude."

And with that said, main movie began playing.
