I woke up to Naruto's arms wrapped around me. "What the…" I mumbled as I tried to wiggle out of his grasp. After a few minutes of struggling, I managed to set myself free and wander into the horror that was the kitchen. "There's nothing but ramen here." I mumbled as I opened another cabinet, "Or here," I checked each and everyone of the cabinets, nothing but ramen.
"I guess this was to be expected." I changed into the clothes I bought yesterday: simple jeans, a black top and a black leather jacket, snatching my purse on the way, I grabbed a few hundred ryo and shoved them in my pocket, writing a note for Naruto, telling him that I was off at the supermarket. "I can't let him live like this…" I mumbled as I opened the door, first thing that I saw being a green flak jacket. "Going somewhere?" asked Kakashi, suspicious.
"Supermarket. Were you standing there all night long?" I asked, noticing the circles under his eyes. "It's none of your concern. You said someone was going to pay Hokage-sama a visit. Who?" I laughed at his face. "Pay me and I'll tell you." this time it was Kakashi's turn to laugh. "Pay you? I don't think so." I shrugged as I pushed him out of my way, "Then I have no interest in making business with you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have groceries to buy."
Kakashi blocked my way once more, "I'm coming with." was all that he said as he started to walk behind me, his gaze tearing holes into my head. "Can't you just walk beside me, it feels weird if you're behind me." I mumbled as I picked a few tomatoes and onions and paid the man some money for them. "Here take some more tomatoes, you're way too skinny, sweetheart." said the man as he handed me some more tomatoes. "Thank you very much sir!" I exclaimed as I made my way to a stand that sold eggs. "Three cartons of eggs please." I said as I handed the woman a hundred and fifty ryo for them. The woman took my money and handed me the eggs with a smile on her face.
"It's the english girl, here's another egg for you." she said as she handed me the egg. I smiled at her, "I guess we were bound to meet again since your village is near Leaf." I smiled at the woman and nodded, "Indeed. It must be fate." I chuckled as I turned around and went back home. "English? What is that?" asked Kakashi with a suspicious tone, "Nothing you need to worry about, Kashi." I mumbled, deciding that my british accent was more comfortable for me to speak with, "Kashi?" asked the silver haired shinobi, "I believe in the power of nicknames." I chuckled. "Since you watched me all night, I'm assuming you haven't eaten anything. Would you like to stay for breakfast?" the silver haired man nodded, "Only so that I can make sure you're not causing any more damage that you have to." he said, "Just admit that you're hungry" I sighed in frustration.
"Naruto! I'm home!" I called as I noticed that the house was… cleaned? "I think we may have entered the wrong house." I whispered to Kakashi, the shinobi didn't say anything, just stared at the apartment in shock. "Ah, Aelia! You're back! I cleaned up while you were gone. Figured that since we're living together now, I can make a few changes around." he shot me his signature grin while I looked around and noticed the trash cloet was about to explode. "You shoved everything in the Trash Closet didn't you?" I laughed, "Big time. It can explode at any moment." replied Naruto as he accompanied me to the kitchen.
"Sensei? What are you doing here?" asked the blonde boy, "We bumped into each other at the supermarket and I invited him for breakfast since we didn't have much time to bond ever since I joined the team." I smiled, Kakashi just nodded, not surprised at all. "Well then… What's for breakfast?" asked the silver haired shinobi, trying to change the subject. "Scrambled eggs with tomatoes, onions and bell peppers. It's a classic breakfast where I'm from." I lied, the recipe is actually for the turkish menemen, it's delicious so I hope they like it.
"What? Sounds gross!" pouted Naruto as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Eh~ Don't knock it till you try it! It's really yummy, you know!" I whined, looking at Kakashi with pleading eyes. "You'll try my food right?" I asked, "Since Naruto-nii doesn't like my food." guilt tripping Naruto is probably the only way I'll ever get him to eat healthy so I might as well try, "H-hey now I never said I didn't like it…" mumbled Naruto as he hesitantly took a bite of the food. "It's good!" he exclaimed as he gouged down the food on his plate.
"H-hey now, don't eat so quickly, you'll choke." I interjected as while shooting Kakashi a desperate look. The shinobi just shrugged and enjoyed the show. "I hate you, you know that?" I mumbled under my breath as I started to clean the dishes. "What was that?" asked Kakashi, "Nothing. Will we be going on a mission today? I'm bored." I said, Kakashi thought for a bit, "I guess I could ask Hokage-sama." he mumbled. "Why do you respect that guy so much anyway? He is a horrible person and you know it." I said. "Whether I respect him or not isn't the issue, he's the Hokage, the strongest shinobi in the village. He sacrificed so much for us." his answer was vague to me, "He used Naruto as a scapegoat and you know it."
I finally sighed, "And you're using him as a way to live. You both exploited him." That sentence made me turn around in anger. "Don't you ever say I exploit Naruto. Unlike that Hokage you like so much, I didn't make the entire village hate him to save my ass." Kakashi flinched at my sudden change in behavior while Naruto continued to eat, somehow death to our conversation. "You're giving him false hope that he has a family." Kakashi whisper-shouted, it was so funny I had to laugh. "Let me tell you something about family," I started, "They hurt you, that's all they do, just abuse you until you fool yourself into believing that it's just their way of showing affection. Blood isn't always thicker than water. You of all people should know that."
Kakashi stayed silent as he handed me another dish that needed to be cleaned. "I'm done with the dishes. I'm gonna go out." I said as I silently took my apron off and walked towards the door. "I'll come with you." stated Kakashi until he was struck with one of my ice cold glares. "No. I need to be alone." was all that I said as I walked out of the apartment, heading towards the Yamanaka compound. I knocked on the door, expecting Inoichi to open it but instead getting his beautiful daughter. "My, my, if I'd known the Yamanaka's had such beautiful daughters, I'd want to be one myself." I joked while Ino just laughed along. "I'm Ino. Who're you?" she asked, her voice sweet like honey, "Uzumaki Aelia, pleasure to meet you."
I said as I extended my hand to shake hers, Ino rejected the polite gesture and pulled me in for a hug instead. "Nice to meet you, why don't you come in?" she stepped away from the door and let me inside the huge compound, "Don't mind the mess, I have a few friends over at the moment," she said while an exhausted look made its way onto her face. "You said Uzumaki, right? You must be the sister Naruto has been telling us about. I would've never guessed. You just look… more mature you know?" a laugh escaped my lips "I guess you're right." we joked around for a while until my eyes finally locked on my target. "Ah, Inoichi-san!" I called, the man turned around, recognizing my voice. His eyes filled with recognition as he called me over to his side.
"Aelia, Ino, I see that you two have met." he says, his gaze fixated on me, "We have indeed, she's so different from Naruto!" she exclaims, linking her arm with mine, "We're going to go shopping together. Right Aelia-chan?" her eyes were begging me to say yes, so, I agreed. "Yeah, my wardrobe isn't the best and Ino-chan decided to help me with that." I said, scratching the back of my head. This is so awkward.
"Of course, you girls have fun. But Ino, don't forget about your guests. Why don't you present Aelia-san to them?" he asked. "You're right, I'll go get them." exclaimed Ino with a smile on her face as she left me alone with her father. "So…" I started, trying to break the awkward silence, "I researched that word, bisexual was it?" I instantly froze. He's going to lecture me. I just know it. "I don't want to talk about it okay? It makes me uncomfortable." Inoichi simply nodded but he kept pushing. "I just want to say that it's alright. If you ever want to talk… as the only person who understands you since, you know, I've been inside your head, I think I can help you deal with all the trauma you're shielding yourself from. Just think about it okay?" All I did was nod before Ino, Shikamaru and Choji all entered the room at the same time, getting stuck in the door frame. "I just have to assume this happens a lot." I giggled as I pulled Ino free.
"Well, Aelia-chan, meet Choji and Shikamaru." she said as she moved away so that I could see her friends better. Shikamaru shot me a bored look while Choji kept munching on his chips. "N-nice to meet you all!" said as I bowed, "I hope we get along well." and with that Ino told her farewells to her father and friends and dragged me to the mall. "Oh, we're really going to the mall." I mumbled, "Yeah I knew I had to take you the moment I noticed you were wearing that black leather jacket with those jeans. Trust me you'll be out walking like a queen after this." said Ino as she dragged me inside a fairly expensive looking shop. "Here, try this on!" she exclaimed as she shoved some clothes into my hands.
I entered the trying chambers and noticed just how well the clothes fit me. What she gave me was a simple black sports bra, a fishnet shirt to wear on top, some black leggings and… I don't really know if I should be offended by this but a mask. I wore the clothes and left the changing room, Ino showed me a thumbs up with a smile etched onto her face. "You look so good!" she complimented as she took my hand in hers and spun me around, "Now we go to Tenten's shop and buy you some weapons." she said as we paid for the clothes which according to her were the "average price of clothes" these days. I sighed as she dragged me to Tenten's weapon shop.
"Wow," was the only thing I could say as so many weapons caught my eye. I noticed one spyderco knife and immediately grabbed it, liking the feeling of it in my hand. Ino handed me a basket where we were supposed to buy the weapons we would like to purchase in and continued to shop, "Ino-chan," I called out, "I think this kunai would look great with your whole aesthetic." I smiled as I handed her a kunai with a dark purple hilt and a silver tip. "I think the hole in the tip is to put poison into but I'm not sure." an embarrassed chuckle left my lips as I said that.
"Oh Aelia-chan!" said Ino as she pulled me close and pointed towards a katana, "Don't you think this one is so pretty! You should get it!" she encouraged me to go and check it out. It was indeed extremely beautiful. The blade was silver and had a dragon drawn on one side of it, the hilt was dark red as if it was soaked in blood. "I am so buying this!" excitement lit my eyes as I walked to the counter and paid for my stuff. "These are excellent choices, Miss." said Tenten, "I can see you'll be coming here often, may I have your name?" she asked with a welcoming smile on her face. "Uzumaki Aelia." I stated before grabbing my new weapons along with Ino and running inside the nearest mall, we both laughed right before starting to check out a few clothes we saw.
"These are all so pretty!" I exclaimed as I checked the price, "Nevermind." I chuckled, I noticed Ino staring at something until I noticed that the thing she was staring at was Sakura. "I heard you guys were fighting over Sasuke." I said, "Why? He isn't even that good looking. I mean if you look really closely, you can notice that his hair kinda looks like a duck's butt." I joked. Ino choked on her laughter before getting noticed by Sakura. "Aelia-san? What are you doing with InoPig?" Sakura asked, truly curious. "Isn't it obvious, Billboard Forehead? We're friends!" she exclaimed, linking her arm with mine.
"O-oi," was all that I could say before the two started bickering, "You're already trying to steal my Sasuke-kun so you might as well stay away from my friends!" screeched Sakura while Ino replied with a "It ain't my fault your friends like me better than you." I stopped listening after that until the two finally screamed, "Aelia, say something to her." all I could do at that moment was stare at them, dumbfounded, "You do realise you're letting some duckass-looking boy ruin your friendship right?" I asked, knowing that there was going to be a chance for them to either laugh with me or gang up on me together. Thankfully the two chuckled before the three of us started to continue shopping but this time, together.
