Five years had past since Caitlin's ex coworker Hunter Zolomon had been convicted of attacking and raping her. He had been in Iron Heights since his arrest. He had been plotting his revenge not only against her but his traitor of a brother. He sat on a bench in the yard watching the other prisoners. One in particular caught his eye. Lenard Snart. That man was his ticket out of this hell. Snart was walking his way with a smirk.

"I heard you wanted to talk Zolomon." Said Snart

Hunter dropped his voice so the guards couldn't hear him.

"I know you are planning a prison break. I am going with you."

"Now why would I let you come with me? I mean you are the worst kind of criminal."

"Because if you don't I tell the guards and you won't be there to stop your old man from using your sister as a punching bag again."

Snart looked Hunter in the eye and knew that monster would do it. Hunter didn't really care about anyone but himself.

"Fine tomorrow night we make our move."

"Good. There are some people that I need to make pay for betraying me."

"Yeah if I were you I would steer clear of Central City they got two super powered heroes running around. They call themselves The Flash and Frost."

"That doesn't bother me. Even superheroes can die."

"Right."

Snart walked off scared to death of the creepy ex scientist.

Harrison Wells had disappeared from Central City shortly after his release from the hospital. STAR Labs was shut down and put up for sale six months later. Carla Tannhouser knowing that her daughter and son in law were using their new powers to fight crime and capture metahumans that were created in the particle accelerator explosion. Ones that were using their new found powers to commit crimes and harm others. Bought the building and other holdings for them to use as their base. The hole in the roof was repaired as was the damaged tower. Security was the state of the art. No one who didn't belong was getting in the building. Most of those that had been at STAR labs either left on their own or were transferred to other Tannhouser sites leaving only those closest to Caitlin and Barry working at the lab. Alex Danvers and Cisco Ramon were still working out of the former STAR labs site along with Caitlin. John Diggle still had access to the site as did Eddie Thawne and Joe West. Cisco was currently monitoring the police scanner and traffic cameras looking for any signs that Flash and Frost were needed.

"Hey Cisco what's going on?" asked Alex coming into the cortex.

"Nothing. Everything is quite for now. So what is our Frosty friend up to?"

"She is examining the latest samples she has taken from both herself and Barry. She also just took a blood sample from me. She will come looking for you soon. She is convinced that we may have been affected by the dark matter too."

"Damn Alex, I swear that woman is like a vampire with her blood samples."

"Why do you think David choose to work at a different site? I mean he was given the choice about working with us here. I mean he knows all about Caitlin and Barry's powers. But he only helps out here when he has to."

Cisco thought about the young lab tech. Once he learned to be more organized he and Caitlin got along rather well. But things changed after the particle accelerator explosion. David Turner cared for his disabled sister, who thanks to Caitlin no longer had crippling headaches. Jacquie Turner was a gifted artist who could no longer do her art the way she wanted after she was beaten nearly to death by David's biological brother Hunter Zolomon. Zolomon was an ex STAR labs employee that had attacked and raped Caitlin. While it had nearly broken Caitlin it had also woken both her and Barry up to the fact that they were in love with each other. It was not a surprise to any of their friends or families when they finally did get together. They had been married now for five years and had two wonderful kids. Their daughter looked just like her mom. As for their son he was his dad all the way. Though Danielle was a daddy's girl. She loved nothing more then to spend time with her daddy.

"Yeah well his skill are more of a use at the other lab. I mean we mostly deal with metas here."

"True."

Caitlin came walking into the cortex just then and smiled at Cisco.

"Cisco, I need a fresh blood sample from you." Said Caitlin

"Stay away from me you vampire!" said Cisco moving away.

Caitlin just looked at him waved her hand and the next thing Cisco knew he was on the floor having slipped on black ice.

"Damn it did you have to do that?" asked Cisco

"Yes. Now let me take your blood." Said Caitlin

"Fine." Grumbled Cisco

Alex just smiled. The way Cisco and Caitlin acted around each other was like they were brother and sister.

Barry was working in the CCPD crime lab when the alert came across his computer. He looked and felt his heart start to race. This was bad. Really, really bad. Four men escaped Iron Heights in the early morning hours. One car thief, one drug dealer. While bad were not the biggest deal. Lenard Snart or as Cisco called him Captain Cold. Still bad but Flash and Frost would be able to handle him fairly easy. But it was the fourth name that sent a chill down Barry's spine. More so then his wife's powers or Captain Cold's cold gun. Hunter Zolomon. The man that had made his best friend, the woman he loved more than anything feel broken. The man that had stolen not only Caitlin's sense of safety but the one thing she had to give to the man she loved. Barry wasn't sure what he was going to do, when Zolomon came after his wife. Because he knew for a fact that he would. Not that Caitlin was as defenseless as she once was. In fact if she wanted to be she could be very deadly. Though his wife was no killer. Her heart was too good to kill anyone, even the man that had really hurt her.
