Marvel/DC: Dimensional Apocalypse

Chapter 2

"So, I guess you're wondering why I called you guys this late?" Asked Superman, rhetorically.

"Yeah! I was halfway through Die Hard 2!" Lamented Green Lantern.

"Oh yeah, that's the best one!" Said Flash. "Especially in the end when-"

"No shut up! I don't want spoilers!" Yelled Green Lantern.

"Barry! Hal!" Said Wonder Woman

"Why did you call us here, Clark?" Asked Bruce.

"Because of me." Said an echoing voice. Kent Nelson, aka Doctor Fate entered the room. "We have much to discuss."

"Doctor Fate? Where have you been?" Asked Aquaman.

"You've been gone for over 3 months!" Said Martian Manhunter.

"I have been away, communicating with an interdimensional sorcerer, known as The Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange." Said Doctor Fate.

"Doctor Strange? Sounds like a villain to me." Said Superman.

"Barry would know. One of his greatest enemies is known as Abra Cadabra! Hahahaha!" Joked Green Lantern.

"Hey! I'm not the one with an enemy whose pet cat destroyed you!" Countered Flash.

"Guys enough! Fate, do you have any way of letting him meet us?" Asked Bruce.

All of a sudden, a purple light surrounded the Hall of Justice. Doctor Fate started to hover in the air.

"Nelson, what's going on?" Asked Wonder Woman.

"What comes next, mere mortals cannot stop. The Legion of Doom is behind all of this. You must take the help of the other universe's heroes and stop them…"

All of a sudden, The Justice League found themselves on a different street, in a different city.

"Where are we?" Asked Aquaman. "And where is Doctor Fate?" He continued.

"One thing's for sure, we're definitely not in Metropolis." Said Batman.

The Flash stared at a billboard, which read:

'Welcome to New York, home of The Avengers.'

"Sooo, why exactly do you need my help?" Asked Peter to Tony, when they reached Avengers Tower.

"Doctor Strange called all of us. I have no idea why." Replied Tony.

They walked across the helipad and into the main room, which had a huge rectangular table, and at the head of the table, sat Captain America.

"Tony, Peter! Great to see you guys! Come on, the others are waiting." Said Steve, as he motioned for them to enter another room.

Inside the room were other heroes, like Daredevil and Hawkeye. Peter decided to sit next to Daredevil.

"Hey, Matt. Great to see you!" Said Peter.

Matt just turned to look at him with a tired expression.

"Oh crap! Sorry, I didn't mean it that way!" Apologized Peter.

Spider-Man's apology was cut short by a speech started by Steve.

"I suppose you are all wondering why I have called you all here. Well, Stephen Strange has said that he needs to inform us about something. But first, I must say something. The Lethal Legion is still at large. As you already know, the Lethal Legion consists of criminals like Norman Osborn, Red Skull, Taskmaster, and others. The Avengers need all of your help to put them away. Now I'd like to call upon Doctor Strange." Concluded Steve.

Stephen got up from the audience and walked towards the front of the room.

"These past few months, I have been talking with a being from an alternate reality, known as Doctor Fate. He has warned me of what's to come. His dimension is completely different from ours. An enemy group from his dimension wants to take over as many parallel Earths as they can. They-"

Before Strange could finish speaking, a huge tremor occurred.

"What the hell was that?" Asked Luke Cage.

"Apparently, according to J.A.R.V.I.S, it came from East Chinatown." Informed Ant-Man.

"Hey! Where did Stephen go?" Inquired Spider-Man.

The heroes looked around and realized that he had disappeared.

"Typical Strange. All right everybody! Let's go investigate these tremors." Said Iron Man.

"Avengers Assemble!" Yelled Captain America

The Justice League walked down the streets of East Chinatown.

"Looks like we're in a parallel dimension." Said Batman.

"In that case, shouldn't there at least be any of our counterparts?" Asked Martian Manhunter.

"No. According to the data I managed to collect on this world right now, The Justice League does not exist, and neither do our alter egos." Said Batman.

"You think Lex Luthor and his Legion of Doom is behind this dimensional shift?" Asked Flash.

"Doctor Fate did say that The Legion of Doom is behind all of this, so yeah." Replied Aquaman.

"I think right now, we should find this universe's heroes and ask them to help us." Said Superman.

As if responding to Superman's suggestion, The Avengers' Quinjet landed in front of The Justice League.

Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Ant-Man and Hawkeye stepped out of The Quinjet.

"I'm gonna ask this once. Who are you and why are you here?" Inquired Iron Man, pointing his palm at Batman.

"We're The Justice League, from a parallel Earth. You need to trust me!" Said Batman.

"And we're supposed to believe a guy dressed up like a bat?" Asked Ant-Man.

Captain America readied his shield. "Last chance for you to give up." He said.

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter stood in their formation, and so did The Avengers.

"Guess we'll have to do this the hard way." Superman muttered as both teams charged at each other.

Superman jumped in the air and aimed a punch at Daredevil, but Luke Cage caught Superman's fist and pushed him back. "You take care of the guy in the bat costume!" Said Luke to Daredevil, who nodded.

The Flash rammed into Spider-Man, who was sent flying into a seafood shop. As Peter got out of the shop, he precisely aimed a web at Flash's feet and pulled hard. The Flash stumbled onto the ground and tumbled down the street into a clothes store.

Wonder Woman charged with her sword, only for Captain America to deflect it with his mighty shield. Both of them fought fast, each trying to land a few quick punches on the other. In the end, Diana grabbed Steve by his shoulders and threw him on Luke Cage, who was busy fighting Superman.

Daredevil tried to land a punch on Batman, but both were equally skilled in combat. Every move that Batman tried, Daredevil blocked, and vice versa. However, Batman took out a Batarang and stabbed Daredevil in the leg, before spin kicking him in the face.

Meanwhile, Martian Manhunter had taken to the skies with Iron Man. Tony shot repulsor blasts from his palms, which seemed to have no effect on John Jones. However, John could not get close enough to hit Iron Man. Batman noticed this.

"John! I'm uploading a virus remotely into his suit. It will disable his flight and weapons system!" said Batman over his comms, as he uploaded the virus.

All of a sudden, Tony could not move, and was stuck hovering in mid-air. Martian Manhunter punched him a couple of times, before Green Lantern made a hammer from his lantern ring and hit Tony with it, sending him into a nearby building.

Aquaman was having trouble with Ant-Man, who kept alternating between big and small, so Aquaman could not attack him with his trident. All of a sudden, Green Lantern made a cage around Ant-Man and locked him inside, but Hawkeye aimed an arrow at Green Lantern, shooting him in the back. Enraged, Green Lantern made a huge hand construct and tried to hit Hawkeye, who dodged it, and instead, The Flash, who was fighting Spider-Man, got knocked out by it, and was sent flying straight into Iron Man, who had just gotten to his feet. Iron Man accidentally shot a repulsor blast towards Wonder Woman once he was knocked by The Flash, but Diana deflected it with her shield, and sent it to the sky, where it hit Martian Manhunter! John fell from the sky and landed directly on Luke Cage and Captain America, who were fighting Superman.

Superman had enough. He flew up to the sky and using his heat vision, created a huge divide between The Avengers and The Justice League.

"ENOUGH FIGHTING!" He yelled. "Would you Avengers please here us out?" Asked Superman.

Steve decided to give them a chance, and they explained how The Legion of Doom, from their universe had sent them to this universe.

"So you guys weren't the enemy group Doctor Fate told Strange about." Realized Spider-Man.

"So can we stop fighting and think of a plan to take us back to our dimension?" Asked Aquaman.

"Yeah. Let's head back to Avengers Tower." Said Captain America.

Lex Luthor, Reverse-Flash, Malcolm Merlyn, Deathstroke, The Joker and Sinestro arrived in the alternate dimension.

"So this is the universe where we sent The Justice League. Why are we here again?" Asked Deathstroke.

"Everything will be answered soon, Slade. For now, let's try and get rid of The Justice League and the heroes in this universe too." Said Lex Luthor.

"And how are you planning on doing that?" Asked Reverse-Flash.

"Both the superhero teams have just finished fighting. If I'm right, then they would head back to their base to regroup." Replied Lex.

He pointed his fist in the air, and a micro-missile popped out.

"Oh Lexy, I don't think that teeny tiny missile will do any damage." Said Joker.

"No, Joker. Merlyn International developed that micro-missile. One of them could blow up 20 square miles!" Said Malcolm, sinisterly.

"Set a course for 'Avengers Tower'" Said Lex, as the missile moved towards the tower.
