"Thanks."
Olivia took the pizza box from Abby and invited her into the kitchen.
"You said you didn't have any food. What is all of this?"
Abby pointed at the food on the stove. There was a pot of wild rice, steamed vegetables and grilled chicken next to a huge bowl of salad.
"I don't want that."
"Your mom cooks real food and you want pizza?"
Abby grabbed a plate and a fork. She had to get her own food now that she had a job. She wished her mom cooked like this every day.
"I have to throw the box away outside." Olivia said, taking a bite of the greasy pizza.
"So, have you talked to your fake boyfriend today?"
"It's not funny."
"I am going to laugh at your imaginary boyfriend."
"I know he's real. I don't know why you can't see him."
Abby took a few bites of her food and grabbed a napkin. "I want to see him."
"You know you can't."
Olivia shrugged and Abby followed her to her room. Of course Fitz was there sitting in his gaming chair playing a video game.
"Do you see him?"
"Yeah."
"Talk to him."
"No."
Abby laughed, "You're not that crazy, right?"
Olivia stepped closer to the mirror and slowly waved as if to get his attention. She yelled hi and Abby laughed. For a quick second, he looked away from the game and around his room. Did he hear her? He turned the volume down on his game and grabbed a handful of chips.
"Did he answer you?"
"No."
"You need a shrink."
"He is there. I'm going to prove I'm not crazy."
"Okay, how are you going to do that?"
"We can look him up on social media."
"You already tried that. He lives in your imagination."
Olivia was frustrated. What could she do when her best friend thought she was crazy?
