Paul's life is full with some ups and some downs. Everyone does. An example of that is digging around through the trash. A humanoid white tiger and was trying to find food. It was revolting, but it had no choice.
"Damn you, Spider-Man." The tiger said. This tiger is known as Fang, Francis Coinsith. He was once part of the Coinsith family, a family that excelled in everything and felt they were above others. That arrogance is what lead Francis to become Fang for he wanted to show he was better than Spider-Man. Now that Spider-Man is who he is today, Fang seems to have hit rock bottom and he blames all of it on Paul. "Spider-Man, when I find you, I will tear you to shreds for what you've done to me!"
…
Paul
Paul was making his way through his apartment. Just like Harris said before, it was a really nice apartment. He may not like that the city is paying him for what he's doing, but it certainly helps. He was just keeping the place decent, but stopped when he heard his phone go off. He looked and saw it was Thomas.
"Thomas?" Paul said as he answered his phone. "You want me to what? Open my window?" Paul could see where this was going and was annoyed by it. Paul walked over to the window and opened it up and a black suited Spider-Man came swinging in through the window and landed on the ground.
"And he sticks the landing." Thomas said.
"Why can't you come in like a normal person?" Paul asked.
"What's the big deal?" Thomas asked. "People know who we are now. So what does it matter if people see me swing in like that?"
"Because it makes you look less crazy." Paul said as the suit slithered off of Thomas into casual clothes. There was once a time that Thomas hated Paul. When Thomas came in contact with a symbiote, that anger grew and he became Venom. However, when he learned to control the symbiote, he became friends with Paul and they fought together. "So what's up?"
"I was thinking of hitting a club tonight? Are you in? You don't have a job that school gets us ready for." Thomas said. "You're living large with protecting the city."
"Stop making it sound like that. I do what I do because I have to." Paul said. "Sure. As long as there isn't any bad guys causing trouble, I'm free."
"Great." Thomas said. "Wait. Does Monica want to as well?"
"Probably not." Paul said. "She'll be covering a news segment on television soon and she's got a deadline for some other work to do. Why?"
"Because Lindsay is going to be there as well. We'll be hitting her club." Thomas said.
"Again. We might be her favorite guests, but there are other clubs in New York." Paul said.
"Come on. It's like our hang. It will be fun." Thomas said.
"Fine." Paul said just so he wouldn't be annoyed by this. Thomas liked the sound of that. "I'm just going to do a quick patrol around the city. You want to come?"
"Sure." Thomas said as his symbiote costume came back on. No matter what life throws at him, Paul's got to hold up his responsibilities as Spider-Man.
…
The City
Paul and Thomas swung through the city. They kept their eyes open for any sort of trouble. In a city like New York, trouble could be anywhere. They both landed down on a roof and didn't see much of anything.
"Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary." Paul said.
"Yeah because those punks know they're done for when we come around." Thomas said, but Paul glared at him for that. "What? Some of them are afraid of us."
"True." Paul said. "Things appear to be quiet around here. Hopefully, we won't have much to worry about if we're heading for Lindsay's club." With their backs turn, they didn't notice that Fang was actually creeping up on them.
'There he is.' Fang thought. 'Spider-Man. It's because of you that I was at the top of society and dropped to rock bottom. I will have revenge.' Fang didn't wait a minute as he went to attack, but Paul's spider sense alerted him of danger. He turned around and drove his leg against Fang's face and knocked him back.
"Francis Coinsith?" Paul said.
"The overgrown cat? What's he doing here?" Thomas asked.
"Spider-Man, I swear I will crush you for what you've done to me." Fang said as he went on the attack. He tried slashing at Paul, but Paul jumped back. Thomas helped out as he shot a couple lines at him and tried pulling him in his direction. "Stay out of this!" He slashed through his lines and cut them.
"He's as tough as ever." Thomas said. Fang pounced against Thomas and had him pinned down. He tried to claw at him, but Thomas was holding back.
"Bad kitty." Paul said as he kicked Fang in the face and knocked him back. Fang wasn't giving up as he kept trying to slash at him, but Paul jumped up and landed on his back as he kept pounding him in the face. After a few hits, Fang grabbed his arm and tossed smashed him against the ground, but Thomas hit him right in the gut and across the face to knock him back.
"Anything else you like to try?" Thomas asked. Fang was getting annoyed and decided to pull back.
"This isn't over. I'll crush you yet." Fang said as he retreated. Thomas walked over to Paul and helped him up.
"You okay?" Thomas asked.
"I think so." Paul said.
"What was that about? He wanted revenge for what you did to him?" Thomas said. "What was he talking about? You've beaten him and put him away before."
"That's not quiet it." Paul said. "You remember what he was like. He was an arrogant and spoiled brat. His family put so much pressure on him that he must have snapped from it and willingly mutated himself to prove he's better than me. Things have been going downhill for him ever since."
"Oh yeah! So he blames you for all that?" Thomas said. "What happened to him was a result of his own choice."
"Sound familiar? You blamed me for a few things when it was your fault." Paul said.
"Yeah…. It's just that…. That's only because…" Thomas was at a loss for words to get him out of this one. Paul just chuckled at his reaction.
"Forget it. Let's just keep our eyes open." Paul said. "Fang has a lot of issues, but I'm pretty sure he'll be back." Fang will be back, but Paul isn't going to let that stop him from having some fun.
…
Night
Later that night, Paul and Thomas was heading over to a club called Black and White and it was owned by their old friend, Lindsay. Paul and Thomas walked up to the club and some people that would love to get in cheered as they saw the two of them come by.
"I love this celebrity-like lifestyle. I don't get why superheroes never revealed their identities before." Thomas said.
"Thomas!" Paul said as he did not approve of what Thomas was saying.
"I know. I'm just kidding." Thomas said. "Still, you have to admit that there are some benefits to it." Both of them walked up front to the guy in front of the door.
"No entry unless….wait! You're Spider-Man and Venom! You're both amazing and spectacular!"
"Thank you. We're actually friends with the owner and we were hoping to go in and see her." Thomas said.
"Sure. She told me about you two. You two can go in at any time." The guy said and let them in, but Paul wasn't sure with those people out there.
"Hang on. What about the people outside. They probably have been waiting for a long time to get in." Paul said.
"Dude, a lot of cool clubs have lines like that." Thomas said. "Anyone would jump at the chance to get in like this." Paul just went with it and both of them had a look inside and saw it was a little fancy with a black and white color-scheme.
"Wow. Lindsay has been doing really well to get this place." Paul said.
"When you're a hero like her who is also hot, you tend to draw in a crowd and get some cash coming in." Thomas said. Paul had a look around and saw people dressed better than they were.
"You feel like we're underdressed?" Paul said.
"You think?" Thomas said as he held out his black shirt. "This isn't even a shirt. It's the symbiote. I haven't worn an actual shirt in a long time." That was a little weird to Paul.
"Hello, boys." Both of them saw Lindsay dressed in an elegant black dress. Lindsay Harning, also known as Blite. She may have been part of a criminal group called Rainbow Gang once before, but ever since she met Paul, she tried being a hero. She was also in love with Paul.
"Hey, Lindsay. The place looks great." Paul said.
"Yeah. You really made yourself big in New York." Thomas said.
"Of course. Being Blite is fun, but this is where the fun can continue." Lindsay said. "Where's Monica, Paul? Didn't she come as well?"
"No. She had some work she needed to do." Paul said.
"Really? Oh well." Lindsay said as she caressed his face. "Just come get me whenever you want to dance or anything." Lindsay walked away from them and went to check out her own little club.
"Man. She's got it bad for you. She still isn't over you." Thomas said.
"You think? I've seen her with other guys." Paul asked.
"Yeah. Maybe a couple boy toys or such to make your jealous. I can see you're the one that she wants. She's waiting for the opportunity so she can have you for herself." Thomas said. "What exactly do you do to get these girls to fall heavy for you?"
"Don't know, don't care. I'm with Monica. I'm really in love with her." Paul said. "We've been together for all these years."
"I know, but you know how Lindsay likes to play with fire when it comes to you." Thomas said. "Speaking of girls that were in love with you, have you heard from Jean lately?"
"Jean? I know she went to ESU for a couple years, but she transferred to a different school to exploit that scientific brain of hers." Paul said. "I haven't seen or heard from her since. You think she's doing well?"
"Maybe and there's a chance she might still have feelings for you." Thomas said. "Keep in mind that things might get ugly between those three."
"I know what I'm doing. Things have been fine since Monica and I were dating." Paul said.
"You really don't get girls, do you?" Thomas said. "They're probably hating each other in silence or something." Paul didn't really know what to think about that.
"So are we going to dance, have some drinks, or what?" Paul said. Thomas was just giving Paul a hard time, but he went with it.
…
Fang
Fang retreated to an old apartment and it looked pretty rundown. He saw that his life was a miserable one and he blames all of this on Paul. He just can't see that he did this to himself. Fang couldn't help himself, but think back to how it all went. He pleaded and appealed to his parents, but his own parents turned him away. They actually disowned him.
"How did this happen to me?" Fang questioned. "I was at the top in the wealthiest family, the Coinsith family. Now it's all gone. My money, my praise, my valuables, I want them all back." Fang just continues to let greed and arrogance blind him. He heard a knock on the door and had a feeling he knew who it was. "I told you to back off with this payment thing."
"I'm here to offer you some payment." Fang didn't know who that was. He answered the door and it was surprised as to who it was.
"Christoph Silvio?!" Fang said. Christoph Silvio, the owner of Silvio Industries. He's also a crime boss known as White Streak, making illegal deals and such. He created some of the villains that Paul and his friends fight to try and take control of the city.
"You really don't seem like you're doing well. By the way, while I'm here, I insist you call me White Streak."
"So what do you want?" Fang asked.
"I heard that you've been having some problems." White Streak said. "I'm here to help you with them. I understand that Master was the one that made you who you are, but I'm here to actually help. I'll pay well and you don't have to worry about money again."
"Keep your money. I don't need charity." Fang said as he walked past him.
"That pride and stubbornness of yours will be your downfall." White Streak said.
"I'll feel better once I crush the one that is responsible for this." Fang said. Fang just can't see things beyond his view. He's going to crush Paul and have his revenge.
…
Paul
"Later, I'm going to call it a night." Paul said as he was leaving.
"Already?" Thomas asked.
"We need our sleep too." Paul said. "I also want to see if Monica will be available soon. Later." Paul was on his way home. As he was walking, he was trying to figure things out. 'It's a little unreal how much has changed over the years with people too. It's pretty cool. I was surprised when Lindsay said she wanted to start her own club and it's a big hit, but what we do is part of the reason. So why does it feel so wrong? People aren't suppose to know who we are, but I was unmasked when I was fighting Goblin. This goes against what you told me, Peter. You would never allow this. So what am I suppose to do?' Paul kept walking with him being stalked. "There's no point in sneaky on me. I have spider sense that alerts me of danger."
"At least I know who to look for under the mask." Fang said as he dropped down behind him. "Now I can tear you apart."
"You really blame me for what happened to you? You did this to yourself, Francis." Paul said as he turned to face him.
"I'm a member of the Coinsith family. We excel in everything and no one is above us. Especially not some common folk like you." Fang said.
"There's nothing common about me." Paul said. Fang had enough of this talking as he leaped right at him, but Paul jumped right over him. He shot a line and went straight to the rooftops.
"You're not getting away!" Fang said as he started to climb his way up the building. He made it to the top, but was met with a kick to the face. Paul got changed and was ready.
"I think it's time someone declawed this cat." Paul said. Fang growled and has had enough of him. Fang swung his claw at Paul, but Paul ducked down. Paul tried kicking his legs, but Fang jumped. Fang came down and pinned Paul down by his neck.
"I'm going to tear you piece by piece for everything you've put me through." Fang said. Paul shot a couple lines behind them and pulled, but Paul wasn't getting free. "I'm not letting go!"
"Fine with me." Paul said as the lines were connected to a ventilation shaft. He pulled as hard as he could and it broke off with it hitting Fang in the back. It allowed Paul to get free and drove his knee under his chin. Paul jumped back and faced off against Fang.
"I swear I'll destroy you." Fang said and unleashed a mighty roar.
"You've got a lot of issues." Paul said.
"Enough! I'll stick my fangs into you!" Fang said. He leaped at Paul, but Paul ducked down and rolled under him. Fang stuck his claws into the ground, but he had too much momentum and went over the roof with him holding on.
"Fang!" Paul said as he was going to try and help, but he felt his spider sense going off again. "What now?" That was when he was blasted by white lightning and knocked him down. "Urgh… What?" Paul managed to get back up, but he saw that Fang was gone. "I recognize that electric blast anywhere. What's White Streak doing with Fang?"
…
White Streak
"There we go. We should be okay." White Streak said. He changed into his armor and was able to save Fang.
"Why did you help me?" Fang asked.
"As I said, I heard you were going through a hard time." White Streak said. "I know it was Master who gave you your powers, but I can make good use out of them for both of us. If you agree to work with me, I can help you."
"I don't need help." Fang said.
"Really? You were given these powers, but the person who gave them to you hasn't done anything to help you." White Streak said. "I'm different. You want it all back, do you? You want to destroy Spider-Man, get back to where you once were? I can help you. What do you say?" He held out his hand. He played with Fang's wants and desires. White Streak is seeking control over the city and he'll do it one person at a time if he has to.
