30 Pounds Larger
Alfred sighed contentedly as he typed away at his computer, Arthur's soft side pressed against him as his lover napped on his shoulder, breath warm on his neck. Alfred turned his head slightly and nuzzled Arthur's hair, breathing in his sweet-smelling shampoo while his fingers continued tapping.
Arthur had packed on the pounds beautifully this past month and a half. He was sleeping more now, often beside Alfred. This gave Alfred all the time in the world to cuddle England, to his greedy heart's content.
The heavy binge from the previous week had had a large effect on Arthur's body. While Arthur didn't complain, he was moving less and less. Though Alfred felt guilt, Arthur rather seemed to enjoy being coddled and carried about the house.
As Alfred pulled his nose out of Arthur's hair, he looked down at him. The belly was still taut and round from breakfast, though less so than an hour ago. His thighs took up about half of the two-person couch, lightly venturing onto Alfred's cushion and pressing America to the edge. Alfred didn't mind, of course. In fact, he loved it; having the entire length of Arthur flush against him as the older nation dozed.
Alfred felt eyelashes flutter against his neck as Arthur awoke an hour later. Alfred saved everything on a drive before shutting his computer and giving Arthur his full attention.
"Afternoon, gorgeous," Alfred whispered to Arthur, pressing a sweet kiss to the man's temple.
"Hello, dear," Arthur mumbled back as he turned his head to meet Alfred's lips. Alfred could taste the maple syrup from this morning on Arthur's tongue and moaned softly into the kiss, setting his palm on a role on Arthur's hip and squeezing with a gentle but firm hand. Arthur's cheeks went pink.
"Let's save that for tonight," Arthur patted Alfred's hand lightly, shooing him off with a smirk before he grabbed onto Alfred's arm with his own thick ones and leaned back onto his shoulder.
Arthur's stomach made a loud growling noise. The pair looked down at it and Alfred grinned knowingly. "Hungry?"
"Hush now, love," Arthur was still warm from his nap, amber irises glassy and lids half-open," You know perfectly well that this is all the product of your efforts."
Alfred stood, much to Arthur's distress, and held his hands up in mock surrender," Guilty's charged," he bent to twirl a tuff of Arthur's blond hair, "But I ain't complainin' none, sweetheart."
The superpower then left for the kitchen, grabbing a gallon of whole milk and 3 foot-long Subway sandwiches from the fridge, then to the cupboard for a box of Twinkies and a family-sized bag of Cheetos. He returned to the sitting room just in time to watch Arthur struggle into a more supported sitting position, though he hadn't gotten terribly far.
America set the food items on the coffee table before setting Arthur back properly and stuffing the space around his lover with throw pillows to ensure that the large man was comfortable.
At this point in Arthur's weight gain, his legs were pushed apart in order for his belly to sit in between them. Even then, the large mass spilled over his thighs.
The pair knew that this was not a healthy weight for a man of 5'4. However, they also knew that being a nation, it mattered not what you did to your body; so long as the nation's economy flourished, its foreign relations kept intact, no harm was befalling the lands themselves, the personifications had no physical long-term damage.
For this reason alone, the United States of America and the United Kingdom fo Great Britain and Northern Ireland had no worries. This business was horribly amusing to them, for if any human were in the same predicament as Arthur, their organs would have failed, their calves swelled beyond recognition, their spine snapped beneath the weigh and their skin one giant stretchmark.
And this is where I must stop this story, my lovely readers. I do not normally write this sort of thing, but I was bored one afternoon and felt an odd motivation to type this idea up. Do forgive me, but I cannot write this any longer. It was just as weird to write as I'm sure it was to read. I hope people who read this at least appreciated the mood changes, 'cause I dunno what the heck was goin' on there. ¡Adios!
