"What happens now?"

Adrian was sprawled on Marinette's floor, staring up at her as she spun nervously on her desk chair. She had been slightly nervous and jumpy since they started going out.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, we know who we both are now. So, do we just keep it a secret between us?"

"I guess so."

Marinette stared out of the window over the chimneys of Paris, all the way to the Eiffel tower. They had fought Hawk Moth up there once. Did he know their identities, what would happen to them if he did?

"We should go see Master Fu. You do know who he is right?" Adrien said, sitting up suddenly.

"You know who Master Fu is?"

Dating Adrien and knowing he was Cat Noir bought up so many new discoveries every day, Marinette just hoped that they were the only ones learning things about each other.

Adrien was already at the door. He grabbed Marinette's hand and pulled her out of the room, and away from her thoughts.

"I see," muttered Master Fu. They had told him the whole tale in glorious detail.

"So, what happens next?" Marinette asked.

Master Fu looked up at the two superheroes. Adrien looked unconcerned and happy, but Marinette looked anxious. Clearly she was worried about Hawk Moth.

"I'm afraid it is the time for change now," Master Fu said, "I can no longer guard the Miraculous. One guardian has never been enough and since you two know each other's identities, now seems like the perfect time."

"But what will happen to you?" Adrien looked concerned now.

"I will retire. There is a place for old superheroes to go. I want to go there, a rest will be nice."

"But the kwamis-" Marinette started, but she was cut off.

"The kwamis are yours and Adrien's to care for now. Keep them in your home Marinette, they will be safe there."

"And me?" asked Adrien.

"You will have my books. I will need you two to read them, they tell you everything about the miraculous. There are also the recipes for the potions you need to give your kwamis special powers."

"But Master, what about me?" It was Wayzz.

"I am sorry, my friend, but you cannot come with me. Marinette will care for you. You won't be able to leave the box though, as there will be no one to wear the bracelet."

They talked for some time then left. Marinette took the kwami box with her. She manged to get home before she started crying.

Adrien went home feeling as sad as Marinette, but soon realised that Master Fu's books were fascinating and stopped feeling upset. After all Master Fu had been perfectly composed as he said goodbye to Wayzz and gave up his miraculous. Adrien read long into the night. So long that when he woke, Natalie had been into his room, and seen a certain book, lying on his pillow.
