To address a few things that have been asked or that I though relevant

1/ Rustyrose currently is 15, he's born the same year as Laxus, which is X761, when canon starts he'll be 23. (Erza is 12 btw, which will make her 20 when canon starts if you didn't know her age or forgot.)

2/ this story won't be a Harem, I am not confident in writing Romance between 2 characters, so a Harem with multiple women and Rusty? Fuck no, that's a good way to make me go crazy and drop this story within the first 10 chapters

3/ I am open to suggestions, I actually encourage it. Whether that's a magic, a quest that's not part of canon and everything else Relevant to Fairy Tail, it'll really help me get some inspiration, especially if it's non-canon arcs idea, seeing as I really want to be original, but do not have the brain capacity required to create a complicated plot...

4/ don't be afraid to hit me with everything I've done wrong or can improve on, It'll hurt my ego a lot, but at least I'll improve slowly.

5/ Also, for me It's not Gerard, or Jerlal. I write it Jellal and I won't change that, you've been warned.

Chapter 2

Once we'd reached the road, I'd summoned one of those 4-wheel magic cars that team Natsu had used to get to get to Oshibana during the Lullaby arc. Of course, I changed the car to run on natural resources rather than my magic reserve. Solar powered cars are really useful when they're a fragment of your imagination that works however you wish them to.

Speaking of magic, I've come to the conclusion that only the summoning costs something, after all, I'd been using Pegasus Wings for 3 hours before running into Erza without feeling drained, and the entire time I was driving, I didn't feel a drain either. I could've teleported us directly to Magnolia, but I'm not sure how spells actually affect my reserves, I'd rather not try to teleport only to end up in a wall or in the middle of the ocean because I didn't have enough juice.

I also learned that food created by my magic, while having a taste, do not actually fill me, which left me still hungry.

Erza, after asking a hundred and one questions about my magic, had calmed down and taken to watching the scenery as we drove through the forest, it wasn't long before we'd arrived at the edge of the forest, a small board welcoming us to Clover town.

We both got out from the car, before I dispelled it with a wave of my hand, small particles of light being the only sign it ever existed and entered the town.

Clover Town, especially at this time of the year, looked truly beautiful and deserved its name, flowers blooming everywhere as far the eye can see, coupled with the shops on the streets, it was a picture you'd see in a fairy tale (Ah!). I'll admit that I gaped a little, Erza being no better, her head looking everywhere in amazement.

At one point during our search for the train station, we passed next to a Bakery with the door open. The scent of fresh bread and cake wafting caused Erza's stomach to grumble.

Despite trying so very hard, the look of betrayal on her face made me chuckle, "Hungry? We can buy something if you want." I said, Jewels (the currency, not actual jewels) appearing in my hand.

She looked around before saying, "Isn't that Illegal?"

I shrugged, "Who's gonna stop me? The Jewels won't disappear if I don't will them to, and no one's gonna notice a few more jewels in the market. Come on, I'll buy you a cake or something"

She stared me, a war raging in her visible eye, the choice between eating a delicious cake of her choosing and breaking the law, or staying a good hungry citizen. After a few more seconds in which I could see two mini-Erza, one with a devil tail and wings while the other had what looked like to be Fairy Wings, she finally relented and said "Strawberry."

I smirked and a few minutes later, we came out with sandwiches, with a slice of strawberry cake for Erza and a Vanilla for me. Both didn't last long, we slowly walked through the streets, enjoying the sun and scenery while following the signs directing to the Clover Station.

We finally arrived fifteen minutes later, it was bursting with life, people walking everywhere. We walked to the counter and bought tickets to Magnolia, luckily, the next train is supposed to depart soon.

We boarded the train a machine scanning our tickets to make sure we were authorised and found empty seats, our wagon was closed off, I locked the door to make sure no one would come in. The train departed soon after, leaving us in an enjoyable silence as the scenery flew by us.

I waited a while before calling out "Erza." she stopped watching outside and turned towards me, "I wanted to know, and you're allowed to just not answer but," I hesitated for a second before pressing on, "what happened to you? When we met you clearly weren't in the best state." I questioned.

She flinched and averted her gaze, rubbing the eye-patch where her right eye is.

"Hey." I called out softly, Erza slowly turned towards me, "I don't know what you went through, and you don't have to tell me, but know this, you're my first friend in this world and if someone hurt you, they'll wish they never did." I smiled at her.

She averted her eyes for a few seconds, before saying "I came from Rosemary Village..."

And so, for the next hour, I had an uncut, horrible retelling of Erza's life as an orphan, how Slavers attacked her village and captured every able worker to build a tower, with the goal or reviving the dark mage Zeref. I got a retelling of how she got her name, the friends she made and how they revolted to save her best friend Jellal who'd taken the blame for something he didn't commit, how Rob sacrificed himself to save her, how they managed to win against the magicians and save Jellal, only for him to be 'possessed' by the ghost of Zeref, how he threw her in the ocean, telling her to never come back or he'd kill everyone in the tower.

By the end of the story, Erza was crying softly, I got up and hugged her, "Hey, it's alright. You're alright. Let it all out, you need it." I said soothingly. For the next several minutes, I did nothing but listen to Erza crying on my shoulder as she let all the pain that accumulated for years of her life come out.

"It'll be alright Erza." I said, summoning a tissue and wiping the tears away, "It's horrible what happened and I hate that people like that exist, but I can promise you, we'll find a way to help save your friends alright? We know Jellal won't hurt them, he said so himself." I hugged her again for a few seconds before getting up.

"We'll get stronger and once we get the opportunity, we'll storm that stupid tower, save your friends and exorcise Zeref out of Jellal too. What do you say Erza?" I extended my hand towards her. "C'mon, I can see Magnolia from here, at this distance I can teleport us."

She looked up to me, nodded and grabbed my hand, I pulled her up, and she quickly finished wiping away the traces of her tears. I concentrated on my magic and visualized the Station of Magnolia that I saw in the anime, magic gathered around us and I called out "Teleport." A magic circle appeared around our feet, followed by a flash of bright light and we found ourselves in front of the Station, the train in the distance as it slowly approached.

I looked towards Erza and smiled, "Let's go find Fairy Tail shall we?"

She smiled back and responded "Yes!"

And so we walked away from the Station, Ignoring the weird looks people were giving us for appearing out of nowhere.

Next stop, Fairy Tail.

Shorter than I'd have liked, but I can't keep on going.

Y'know, this chapter wasn't supposed to be like this, It was supposed to be fluff between Rustyrose and Erza as they get to Magnolia, then Shelter by Porter Robinson came in my music playlist and before I knew it, I was writing Erza crying her heart out. I'm happy with how it turned out though. I think I did a pretty good job with the emotions (I hope.)
