Mike was talking to his friends when she came in. It was like the whole world had stopped Hawkins was a small town, he should have known her. She was shorter than him and her big, brown eyes seemed to dart around the classroom. She looked nervous and Mike-
"Earth to Mike: Earth to Mike"
He snapped out of his thoughts.
He blinked, confused.
What was his name again?
What was he doing here?
"What are you looking at?", Dustin asked, following his gaze.
Lucas, who was always looking for ways to torture him, immediately started to tease him.
"Oh, naughty boy", he said, with a smirk on his face.
"Ugh, shut up Lucas, you're being so immature."
Lucas and Dustin continued to bicker again.
As if she had sensed whom the conversation was about, she looked at the Party blushing slightly when her eyes fell on Mike (or was it the lights?).
He didn't even notice the teacher entering the classroom
"Class, this is Ms. Jane Hopper, she is new to town. Jane, you can sit near Mr Wheeler here."
Mike stole glances at the girl through the class, without paying attention to the teacher at all.
He had never spent a class like that.
