The two Flutter Ponies took off and followed Sunny to a rock cliff by the ocean, away from Flutter Valley. Sunny pushed a rock and a door opened.
"Quick!" Lily said. "Before the door closes!"
Lily and Morning Glory made it inside the rock just in time. They stayed close enough to Sunny to follow her, but far enough behind her so she didn't know she was being followed. Sunny walked into a room and smiled evilly.
"Well, Rosedust," she said. "I have control over your Flutter Ponies. They're all bowing at my hooves, taking my orders!"
Morning Glory and Lily gasped. They saw Rosedust tied up, with duct tape over her mouth, preventing her to talk.
"What do you have to say to that?" Sunny asked. Rosedust try to say something, but all that came out were muffled shrieks.
"I thought so," Sunny said. "Don't count on anyone coming to your rescue, Rosedust. No one knows you're here."
Morning Glory backed up then and she stepped on a twig that happened to be in the cave, and cracked it. Sunny heard it, and looked around.
"Who's in here?!" she demanded. She turned around and saw Morning Glory and Lily in the cave.
"We were just leaving," Morning Glory said as she and Lily took to the air. They darted away. Sunny gnashed her teeth and followed them.
"Come back here!" she demanded. "I'll teach you!"
"Keep going, Morning Glory!" Lily shouted. "Don't stop until we reach Paradise Estate!"
"Right, Lily!" Morning Glory shouted.
"I'll get you, Flutter Ponies!" Sunny shouted, as she chased the two Flutter Ponies. "I'll get you!"
Morning Glory and Lily flew as fast as they could. Sunny was right behind them.
"We'll never make it to Paradise Estate without Sunny catching us!" Lily shouted. "She's practically on top of us!"
"We'll have to hide!" Morning Glory shouted.
"Where?"
"Down there!"
Morning Glory pointed toward a hole in the ground. It looked somewhat like a metal pipe.
"Okay, but first, let's lose her fake highness," Lily said.
Morning Glory nodded, and the two Flutter Ponies shifted to Utter Flutter, causing a cloud of dust from their wings to form. Sunny flew right into it, and immediately began coughing.
"Hey!" she shouted. "Oooh, I'll get you two for this!"
While Sunny tried to break out of the dust cloud, Morning Glory and Lily dove down, and ducked into the pipe as fast as they could. By the time Sunny reached the pipe, they were gone.
"Where are they?!" she shouted. "Ooooh! Wait'll I get my hooves on them!"
Sunny decided to go back to Flutter Valley for the time being. She was sure Lily and Morning Glory would come back there, sooner or later. Once she was gone, the two Flutter Ponies peeked out of the pipe.
"That was a close one," Lily said.
"Yeah," Morning Glory replied. "Now to head for Paradise Estate!"
Before the Flutter Ponies could fly off, they suddenly found themselves being pulled into a pipe by some unknown force. Immediately, they flapped their wings as hard as they could.
"What's going on?!" Lily shouted.
"I don't know!" Morning Glory shouted. "I can't fight it, Lily! It's too strong!"
"Hold on!" Lily shouted. "We're going down!"
The two Flutter Ponies screamed, as they were sucked into the pipe, heading for who knows where.
Morning Glory and Lily came out the other end of the pipe, and found themselves in a strange place, filled with what looked like mushroom houses.
"Where are we?" Lily asked.
"Maybe the Mushromp?" Morning Glory asked. "Look at all the mushrooms around here."
"No, I've been to the Mushromp," Lily said. "This doesn't look like the Mushromp! Maybe we're over the rainbow. And if we are, we can get Megan to help us!"
"This doesn't look like where Megan lives," Morning Glory said. "She lives on a farm. And this definitely isn't a farm!"
"But maybe we can find help here. Look, there's a castle. Maybe someone's inside."
Morning Glory and Lily flew up to the castle window. Morning Glory looked in and smiled. Inside was a humanoid mushroom, wearing a red vest, white shorts, and a white cap with red polka dots.
"Look!" she shouted. "It's a little mushroom man!"
"Yeah," Lily said. "We have to get him to open the window!"
The two Flutter Ponies tapped on the window. The mushroom man looked over, and his eyes grew wide. Then he ran and opened the window.
"Hey!" he shouted, as Morning Glory and Lily flew in. "Great. A couple of flying horses."
"We're Flutter Ponies," Morning Glory said. "My name is Morning Glory, and this is Lily. What's your name?"
"I'm Toad," the mushroom man said. "And let me guess why you're here. You're from a place called Ponyland, and you need help, right?"
"How did you know?" Lily asked.
"Some flying pony named Firefly showed up here saying she needed help awhile back," Toad said. "So what's your problem?"
"An evil Flutter Pony named Sunny kidnapped Rosedust and she hypnotized the other Flutter Ponies," Lily said.
"She took over Flutter Valley," Morning Glory said. "Sunny tricked the other Flutter Ponies to make them think she's our queen instead of Rosedust! You just have to come!"
"Sounds like you need the Mario Bros," Toad said. "Unfortunately, they're not here right now. They had to go take care of a plumbing problem in another warp zone, and our princess is busy, too. But maybe I can help you guys."
Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. Toad ran over and looked through the keyhole to see who it was.
"Uh oh," he said. "Both of you stand still. Don't move and don't blink, no matter what. Stay perfectly still."
"Why?" Morning Glory asked.
"It's Toadsworth," Toad explained. "He'll have a heart attack if he sees two talking ponies! Just stay still!"
Morning Glory and Lilly stood still. Toad opened the door, and another mushroom man entered. This one was much older than Toad. He had a white mustache, wore a pair of glasses, a purple vest, and a beige mushroom cap with brown polka dots on it, and carried a walking stick.
"Hiya, Toadsworth," Toad said. "Anything I can do for you?"
"Who were you talking to?" Toadsworth asked. "I thought I heard voices in here."
"No one. It was just the TV."
"What are those?"
Toad turned to look at whatever Toadsworth was looking at. As he predicted, it happened to be the two Flutter Ponies.
"Just a couple of miniature merry-go-round ponies," Toad said. "See, a friend of mine's giving a birthday party for his kid and I thought I'd rent the two ponies here for her and her friends to ride on for a few hours."
"They certainly look real," Toadsworth said, knocking Morning Glory on the head with his walking stick. Thankfully, she didn't move.
"Yes, very lifelike, indeed," Toadsworth said. "Very well, carry on, young Toad!"
With that, Toadsworth left. Toad looked out the door, and waited until Toadsworth was down the hall, and turned a corner, disappearing from sight entirely.
"Okay, guys," he said. "Coast is clear. You can relax now."
"Ow!" Morning Glory said. "That hurt!"
"I bet," Toad said, rubbing the bump on the pony's head. "So, shall we go to Ponyland?"
"Yeah," Lily said. "Hop on."
Toad jumped on Lily's back and she took off. Morning Glory followed and they flew through the pipe that led back to Ponyland.
