Three days ago, there'd been an alien incursion in Bellwood.
It had been a large, green skinned alien wearing yellow armour with a red omega symbol on the shoulders. The maw of the creature was filled with sharp teeth, with no lips.
The plumbers hadn't been able to identify it before it had exploded.
As it turns out, several incidents had occurred across the country, similar to what had occurred in Bellwood.
Right now, I was being brought to the president. This was becoming an issue that needed to be dealt with, and I wanted to nip it in the bud.
I was riding in a limousine, with someone else who wanted to see the President. Diana Prince, Wonder Woman. A beautiful raven-haired woman who hailed from the island Themyscira. It was built by the Greek god to hide Amazonian women from the rest of the world. She was wearing a mainly red costume, in the style of greek tunics, with blue thigh high boots that showed off some skin at the top. On her arms were two gauntlets that could deflect anything and blue sleeves that stop at her upper arms. Her black hair was tied back at the neck and just before the end. She wore a silver tiara around her forehead with a red star in the middle
"So, you're able to transform into these creatures?" she asked as we drove. I turned from staring out the window to face her. I was back in my costume, and my hood was drawn, "yeah, over 10 million alien species".
Diana seemed intrigued by my abilities. And I wanted to keep the conversation going. "Intriguing" she told me, in response to the answer I'd given, "we must spar some time". I turned to her with a smile, "I'd be happy to, maybe we could grab dinner afterwards". The ravenette seemed surprised by this, "why dinner?".
'Right' I thought 'Amazonian Island'.
"Like a date, it's where two people who like each other go and spend time together" I explained.
"And here I thought you were already seeing someone. Several someone-s" the third occupant of the vehicle said, causing us to look at him.
Steve Trevor, US army pilot. He had scruffy blonde hair and a jealous look on his face. He was here to introduce Diana to the president, though I had been asked to accompany them.
"You are correct, they're okay with it though" I confirmed. Diana seemed surprised by this, "only the gods have ever been wed to more than one woman". I turned back to Diana "we aren't married, the laws we have here don't allow it. We're just together".
The Amazonian warrior understood what I meant, though still seemed sceptical about the whole thing, "and are they okay with this?".
It's true that there had been some growing pains, at first. The more villainous, especially, didn't like the idea of sharing. But after the first few weeks, we managed to come to an understanding. "Why don't you come meet them after we're done here" I suggested.
Before Diana could reply, shouting started coming from outside. Multiple people were standing outside the fence of the White House, protesting something with a large doll hanging on the end of a stick. They started banging on the side of the limo and yelling something at us, waving their signs at us. "What's this all about?" I asked.
Before Steve or I could stop her, Diana had stepped out the limo and began to interact with the crowd. The shouting went down as the crowd slowly began to back away. I finally got a good look at the crowd and realised what was happening. The doll, as it turns out, was made to resemble Diana and the holder, who was an over weight man with short brown hair, had climbed on top of the car and was waving it around.
She wasn't the only one being protested. There were signs for Superman, Batman myself and just about every other hero in the country.
"My name is Diana of Themyscira. Tell me who you speak of and by Zeus they will taste my steal" the warrior princess told the frightened crowd, drawing her weapon.
There was a tense moment of silence where no one dared speak. The warrior turned to the portly man atop the car and her eyes widened. "You gather to protest me?" she asked them, turning to the rest of the crowd. I looked at the people from beneath my hood, they reminded me of the people who had gathered at Bellwood City Hall after Vilgax's first public appearance.
"You!" Diana yelled, thrusting her sword to point at the fat man atop the vehicle, "what is your problem with me!"
"You want the truth. You swing that sword with a smile and you scare normal people. And ya dress like a whore!" he exclaimed, before turning to me. "And you, you've been tearing that city a'your's apart for near twenty years. We don't even know how powerful you are, for all we know, you could kill every last one of us without even blinking and nobody'd ever know".
The crowd began shouting at us again. Diana had lowered her sword and began looking at the crowd around us. I wanted to just turn into Humongasaur and scare them away, but after last time and the media's reaction, I knew that wasn't a good idea.
Before I could react, Diana had taken her lasso and thrown it around the protestor atop the car. "This is not your truth, the lasso compels you. Now, tell us your truth" Diana commanded. The rope glowed a bright golden and the portly man began struggling against it. Eventually, though, he relaxed and told us 'his truth'.
"I cross-dress in a Wonder Woman outfit, it makes me feel powerful"
There was a beat of silence for everyone, as we took in what he had said.
Slowly, the crowd began whispering what he had said.
Diana and I chuckled at the situation, before she spoke to the portly man, "embrace your truth, my friend. My outfit makes me feel powerful too".
Steve came over and brought us back to the limo. I was about to get back in when the Biomnitrix started beeping at me. "You two go on ahead" I told them, before walking over to a secluded area.
I activated my communicator and held the device up to my ear "Omnium here, what's up?" I asked as his voice came through on my ear piece. "We've got reports of Superman fighting a Green Lantern and Batman in Metropolis" the voice of my grandfather, Max, informed me.
Using this new information, I transformed into Jet Ray, a red and yellow alien with wings, shaped like a sting ray, and took off into the air.
"Wait, I thought this sector didn't need a Green Lantern coz we were here" I asked my mentor. "We didn't, but since these disappearances started, the Core decided to send one here" Grandpa replied.
"Well, so long as he isn't as bad as the last one we ran into".
"I hear you, Max out" the aging man replied.
It didn't take long for me to reach the bustling city. Superman was facing down Batman and Green Lantern in a construction yard, with both of them looking beat to high hell.
Using Jet Ray's tail, I fired a green energy bolt between them and caught their attention. "All of you, stop!" I ordered.
They seemed to calm down enough and I lowered myself to the ground before turning back to my hooded form.
"What in the hell's going on!?" I asked.
And so, they explained it. Batman and the Green Lantern had come to investigate the alien computer they'd found in Gotham. Superman was fighting another one of the creatures when they arrived, and a fight had broken out between the three due to Batman holding the alien computer.
"Why did you just attack him in the first place?" I asked the Green Lantern.
He just awkwardly rubbed the back of his head.
"Great, a newbie" I muttered, pinching the bridge of my nose.
The four of us made our way to a warehouse to discuss the situation in private. "So, why are you three here, Metropolis is my turf" Superman asked.
"I got a report that said you were fighting a Green Lantern. Came to see what was going on" I replied.
"There have been reports of mysterious kidnappings across the country" Batman replied.
"We've had 'em here too, figured that was life in the big city" Superman informed us
"It's bigger than that. There have been Plumber reports of this all over the world, along with unusual energy signatures around the times. But there was never anything left behind"
Batman brought my attention over to him and held the computer out to me. "Can you figure anything about this?" he asked.
I took it from him and inspected it for a second. "It's not like any tech I've seen before" I replied, before placing it on the ground.
Crossing my arms, I felt the Biomnitirx begin the dual transformation. My body became metallic in nature, with pincers for hands and a large head. Atop the dome that was the upper half of my body were two large eyes that had a line for pupils. The metal that made up my outer skin was grey and I had six small legs coming out underneath me.
Using the combined intellect of Brainstorm and Grey Matter, I began work on the alien device, muttering words I didn't quite understand as I went.
"Well, I've deduced that it's designed to open some form of portal. There does not seem to be a relay signal so it's most likely to anywhere within a certain range" I informed the other three.
"Do you know where they came from" Batman asked.
"No, I could narrow down a part of space but that wouldn't do any good"
A green light flashed and I turned back to normal. "Do you think the disappearances and these things are connected?" Superman asked, turning to Batman.
"They're connected" Batman replied with the utmost certainty.
"So, these monster, they're..." Green Lantern began, as he held the device inside a green force field.
"They're soldiers. Expendable soldiers at that. Planting these devices at all costs, that's military tactics. We might be staring down the barrel of a full scale invasion" Batman informed us.
Green Lantern smirked at the Bat. "You're paranoid!" he insulted, "I'll just crack it open and see what happens". He created a giant hammer above him and placed an anvil beneath the device.
Before he could even make the strike, Batman grabbed his wrist and stopped him. "Without any idea what's inside? That's idiotic" he told the reckless newbie.
"HA, I'll show you idiotic"
Before either of them could do anything, the device began emanating a bright light and beeping rapidly.
"It's gonna blow!" the Green Lantern yelled, using a baseball glove to push the device as far away as possible.
The beeping and glowing kept getting faster and brighter, until it began expanding and opened up a bright yellow hole in the room, with black swirling around inside it. A seemingly unending amount of those creatures began pouring out of it, charging directly at us.
Green Lantern flew straight at them, his power concentrating on his arm to form a weapon. Though it didn't matter. As soon as he was in range, the creatures batted him away and straight into the ground. Reacting quickly, the emerald fighter sent a slab of energy at them and knocked one away.
As they came closer, I threw my arms together and allowed the transformation to begin. My arms split into two on each side and my skin became the hardest substance in the universe. While I was changing, Superman fired his heat vision at them and began tearing them in half.
Batman tried to punch one of them, though it didn't flinch. Four of them jumped on top of him and tried to get his flesh. My hands changed into blades and I slammed them into the creatures heads from the back, forcing their brains out through the new holes I'd made.
We kept fighting the creatures as they came at us, but it never seemed to end. No matter what we tried, they just kept coming. Batman saved Green Lantern from their clutches, and threw him into the air. His body became surrounded by a large mech that fired missiles at the creatures, but even that had no effect on their numbers.
Batman landed onto the mech's shoulder and turned to the Green Lantern. "Still think I'm paranoid?" he asked.
"Uhh, maybe a little less now"
I kept slicing them up as they came at me, but it still didn't do anything. For every one we killed, two or three more joined the fight.
I suddenly heard a voice on the emergency communicator. Grandpa Max's voice came through and caught my attention. "All Plumber's, code 10. We have an alien army attack Earth. Three locations, STAR labs in Central City, Metropolis and about five in Europe and Asia". I placed my hand against the Biomnitrix on my chest and informed the Plumber base of the situation, "this is Omnium. Superman, Green Lantern, Batman and myself are engaged with the alien force attacking Metropolis. We have it covered, secure the others". There was silence for a moment on the other end, before Grandpa replied "Understood, Magisters Rook and Levin will be dispatched to deal with the rest".
The fight eventually lead outside. The wall burst open and we were forced into the open. "Finally, some room to move" I yelled, before turning back.
One of the creatures took a swing at my head, but I ducked under it and stuck an explosive device to the back of it's head. The explosion went off just as I transformed again.
My entire body was made of an acidic substance, with a gravity manipulator above my head. I was shaped like a large, bipedal dinosaur with a long neck and about six foot in height.
The creatures came at me again and I allowed their blows to land. Their fists sunk into my body and suddenly started sizzling. They pulled back and roared in pain, before I swung my fist in a back hand and sent them sailing away.
"Ominum, the White House is under attack" Superman yelled at me over the sounds of the fight. "Okay, I'll head over there and see what's going on, stay here and keep an eye on the portal" I replied in a deep, gargled voice.
My body shifted into a large green blob and the anti-gravity projector began carrying me towards the capital of the country. From the height I was flying, I could see the carnage below. It was clear that this whole thing was coordinated, not just a random attack.
Once I arrived back at the capital, I realised something was off. The attack in Metropolis seemed way worse than this.
Higher up in the clouds, a large plane was carrying the president above the carnage. I could already see several of the creatures heading towards it.
They'd torn the door off the side by the time I got there. The size of my transformation had shrunk down to fit inside as I took a look at the destruction around me. The sound of gunfire and the whistling wind didn't match the expensive interior. Not to mention the bodies of security officers and VIPs littering the floor.
I heard the gunshots slowly go down as the security officers were killed, one by one.
My body left the ground again and I flew further in. "Mister President!?" I called out, in the hopes the country's leader had survived.
I heard a yell of fear coming from the floor below me. I quickly dove down a short flight of stairs into a metal room.
And there stood Diana, over a dead alien, with her sword raised and face covered in green blood. The president was behind her, with his wife cowering behind him.
"Stand back, creature!" Diana yelled at me, her blade poised to strike me.
I raised my arms in a defensive stance, but this proved to be a mistake. Diana spun her blade around and swung it at me, though it just passed right through my liquid body.
"Diana, stop it's me!"
The Amazonian's blade stopped mid-swing. "Omnium?" she asked, her head turning to the side.
I willed the Bionitrix to turn me back to normal and looked at the warrior.
"It's good to see you, all things considered" I told her, standing up from my kneeling position.
Before she could respond, I had transformed again. I was shaped like a velociraptor, with blue and black skin and balls on the end of my feet.
I used XLR8's speed and rammed into the approaching alien that had appeared behind the president. It was sent flying away from the blow.
Diana, taking the opportunity, flew at the alien with the sword raised. She released a warrior's cry before decapitating the alien creature.
Suddenly, two more aliens burst through the floor on either side of the president. Three more joined them soon after, destroying the walls and roof.
Diana launched her sword at the one from the roof. It sliced through two of them before I struck at the rest.
The president's wife ran away from the fight while one of the aliens had grabbed her husband.
Diana lunged over the top of the horde and I ran straight into it. XLR8 wasn't suited for combat against stronger enemies.
I knew who was, though.
A flash of green occurred and XLR8 was replaced with a red alien with four muscular arms. The eyes had doubled as well and shone a bright orange.
We fought the aliens as best we could, but just like before they seemed to keep coming.
Diana and I used our enhanced strength to slice limbs off and cave in their heads. Though we should have been more aware.
The alien that had grabbed the president found it's arm sliced off from one of Diana's blows, but this also pushed it out of the hole it had created.
Straight into one of the engines for the plane.
Almost immediately we felt the effects. The ensuing explosion had torn the wing off and we were clearly heading towards the ground.
One of the shocks had sent the president out of the hole the creature had gone through.
"Diana, take the plane. I've got the prez!" I yelled out urgently.
'Kawabunga!' I thought before I threw myself out of the plane.
The winds at this height were too cold, even for Four-Arms. I kept my head forward and my arms by my side in a pin-head position to keep myself going faster, allowing my weight and gravity to carry me forward.
The green light I was so familiar with turned my body into Jet Ray's and I began to fly faster towards the falling president.
It didn't take much to catch him. We were still quite far above the ground and I needed to return to the plane before more of those creatures overwhelmed the forces inside.
Diana had gone beneath the plane and was flying it straight, but the creatures were closing in on her.
One was poised to strike her while her arms were keeping the plane aloft.
Within seconds of the blow landing, a bolt of green energy struck the alien and burnt straight through it's arm and wing.
I took the president back inside before landing on the underside of the plane, my head pointed at the ground below.
I used my energy beams to keep them at bay, while Diana kept the plane going. "Ya know, you look amazing from this angle" I told with the warrior woman.
"And you don't look too bad yourself. When you're human" she replied, a flirtatious smile on her face.
Between the two of us, we were able to safely land the plane back on solid ground.
"Come on, we need to get to Metropolis. The aliens won't look for him here" I informed Diana as we began walking away from the plane.
"Why Metroplois?" she asked.
"Whatever's going on, it's focused there".
It took about four minutes to arrive back at Metropolis, using XLR8, and find Batman, the Green Lantern and Superman. The fight had moved from the warehouse to downtown and someone else had arrived at the fight.
A red spandex wearing man with a yellow lightning bolt on his chest had punched one of the aliens so hard, so fast, that it had almost created holes in it's armour.
Diana arrived soon after, tying up another of the aliens with her lasso and throwing it into three more.
It didn't stop them though, they carried on their attack.
Diana drew her sword and began slicing them up. One received a large gash to the stomach. Another had it's leg removed before her sword was shoved into it's head. The final was sliced straight through the middle and sent to the ground.
"Greetings warriors!" Diana called out to the others.
There was a moment of silence between Green Lantern and Flash, before the intergalactic officer yelled out something that made me think he had the mentality of someone half the age I already thought he was.
"Dibs!"
His body lit up green and he began flying towards the Amazonian.
I met him half-way, my eye brow raised.
"Ah, it's good to be back in the heat of war" Diana commented, oblivious to the Green Lantern.
During our moment of respite, the aliens had all began flying towards the bay. "Yeah, you better run!" Flash yelled after them, though anyone could see they were congregating.
"No, they're assembling. Waiting for whoever is behind this to launch the attack" Batman informed us.
Superman turned to the group. "Alright, now what?" the Man of Steel asked us.
"We should hit them hard before their boss gets the chance. The six of us struggled against the ones already sent. Their boss might be able to take us all down" I suggested, taking a step towards the water.
Before we could do anything, a large, metallic flying object slammed into a nearby building, before slamming into the ground in front of us.
"Incoming!" Lantern yelled, preparing for an attack.
The metallic object revealed to be humanoid in shape, though it looked like the aliens in design.
"He's mine!" Diana yelled, drawing her sword and charging at the metallic creature.
The humanoid stood to it's feet and I finally got a good look at it. It had half a man's face, with a buzz cut head, that showed fear in his only eye. "Diana, don't!" I cried out, halting her attack.
"I can vouch for that, he was at Star Labs" Flash followed on.
An eighth person joined our group. It was a muscular man with a red suit, a flowing white cape and hood over his head. A glowing lightning bolt was on his chest, attached to the top of his suit. Lightning was sparking off of him in arcs, though they weren't lashing out at anything. They were just circling around him.
"Hey, what's up. Shazam" he introduced after he landed in the middle of us.
He looked around at us, before his eyes widened at me.
"Omnium?" he asked in surprise.
I couldn't even get a word out before he had grabbed my hand. "It's a huge honour, I'm a big fan!" he told me, shaking my hand with vigour. "Good to meet you too" I asked, though I was slightly overwhelmed by the situation.
Superman coughed into his hand to get Shazam's attention. "Oh, right. I'm with him" he told us, pointing his thumb at the metallic humanoid.
"He's not with me" the metal man countered.
Green Lantern frowned at the new comer. "And who the hell are you supposed to be, Mr Roboto?" he asked.
"Who I am doesn't matter, what I know does"
"Which is?" Batman asked.
"I've… talked to their technology, I know their plan. They're terraforming the Earth. It's about to get ugly" he informed.
Batman seemed to understand what he was saying. "That fits" he commented.
"How do you figure?" Lantern asked, though he was missing the obivious.
"Well, for one thing the water's on fire".
We all turned towards the bay, where a giant ring of fire was circling around as every single one of the creatures followed it.
The water was raised into a typhon, before splitting off and allowing a large structure to come through.
Three more that were just like it came up around us. They were tall, and had five spikes coming out the sides of the top. The whole thing was glowing red energy.
The spikes broke off and revealed a large energy blaster pointed right at the night sky.
A blinding white energy suddenly fired out of the towers and into the stars.
"What are they doing?" Superman asked as the aliens began flying back towards the city.
"Can't be sure, but I know this. They're not killing anyone, they're harvesting them" Batman responded.
I thought about it for a second, before I turned back to the others. "That explains the abductions. They were taking people before, but why?" I asked.
"This isn't an isolated incident, it's happening all over the world" Flash commented.
Suddenly, the structure coming from the ring of fire raised higher into the air and released more of the creatures.
"We're too late. He's here".
A tall, humanoid creature with a face like smashed concreate came through the beam of light. His very being gave off an aura of intimidation, and he didn't even seem threatened by us.
The boss of the creatures began floating towards us over the water, his posture unchanging, as if all this was beneath him.
"I'm guessing that's the bad guy?" Lantern asked.
"Lucky guess" Batman told him.
"He doesn't look that tough" Superman replied.
From the right, three fighter jets came flying towards him. They each launched one missile at him, and the explosions were powerful ones.
But once the smoke cleared…
He was still coming, his posture unchanged.
Suddenly, two lasers came from his eyes and wrapped around his head.
We didn't even realise what had happened before the jets were blown up.
We were all silent.
This alien.
This monster.
The power he wielded was more than that of Superman.
"I am entropy. I am death. I am Darkseid".
His voice was one that commanded fear to rein throughout our bodies. The deep pitch rattled the very ground beneath us.
"Stand back and peep the light show. Green Lantern's got this!".
Before any of us could stop him, the fool had taken off with a spiked gloves towards the alien leader.
It was over in two blows.
Lantern's construct shattered on impact and he was sent into a wall, before hitting the ground.
Two of the aliens flew over and started beating on him. He let out yells of pain with every blow.
The sound of air being split occurred as Flash raced over and took down the aliens.
The rest of them started attacking after that. We each took on what we could.
My body transformed to have molten skin and a flaming head.
We grouped up to attack them, but they still kept coming.
Lantern, once again tried attacking, tried attacking Darkseid, but the same result occurred. Superman slammed his fists into the monster, but his face only moved with the blow.
The ring-bearer once again tried to strike at our enemy, but Darkseid merely grabbed his arm in a vice grip. A sickening crack was heard and Lantern released a cry of pain, before he was thrown away. Diana tried to attack him with her sword, but the blows only scraped against his armour. She was flung back from a single attack.
Thinking quickly, I jumped into the air and grabbed her in my arms. My flames became lessened as to not burn her and she returned to her feet once we touched the ground.
I took off at Darkseid, fire being concentrated in my hands, while Shazam tried flirting with Diana.
"Hey, Black Heart the Death Eater, or whatever your World of Warcraft name is, suck on this!" the red wearing flyer of the group yelled, before his lightning struck the villain at the same time as my fire.
Once again, the attacks did nothing. This time, though, he deigned to retaliate.
His eyes glowed once again and the same beams that had destroyed the jet were sent at Shazam. It clashed with his lightning, before pushing it back and sending the immature hero flying.
"Now what?" the metallic teen asked.
"Now, you die" Darkseid answered, his fists glowing with the same energy from his eyes.
"I don't think so, ugly!" I yelled, before jumping onto his back and holding my hands on either side of his head and releasing a highly concentrated stream of fire.
It did nothing though. He still slammed the energy the ground and destroyed turned the entire block to rubble.
My body had been returned to normal and I'd been flung away.
Everything was blurry.
The only thing I could even slightly make out was Darkseid standing over me.
I tried to get away from him, but I fell down as soon as I tried. My body rest against my legs while I watched the monster fly towards me.
"The bearer of the Omnitrix, brought to kneel" were his words.
I had to get out of here.
Within seconds, I found myself somewhere else. I was on the ground again, but the surroundings were different.
"Omnium!" I heard someone yell.
My vision slowly retuned as I looked around me. I was in a mostly undestroyed area, with the others standing around me.
"Ugh, what happened?" I groaned out, rubbing the back of my head.
"You suddenly raced over here as that blue velociraptor, then turned back and collapsed" I heard from above me.
I turned my eyes to see Diana's upper body over me.
Her breasts were practically in my face.
My head was in her lap.
I could tell I was blushing from the heat, but I was trying to look anywhere other than right above me.
"So, what now?" I asked as I sat up straight.
"They took Superman. Batman's gone to find him" Green Lantern replied, flying over some rubble.
I stood to my feet. "Let me guess, he wants us to make as much noise as possible to keep Darkseid busy?" I asked.
Lantern nodded, "how'd you know?".
"We've worked together before".
Darkseid was firing his laser beams at anything now, trying to destroy the city.
Flash was keeping watch while the rest of us prepared.
"It's time for some teamwork" the metallic man told us.
"Yeah baby, clap it up!" Shazam yelled, putting his hand between us.
We just stood there.
"What are you, ten?" I asked.
Flash turned our attention back to the situation, "what's the plan then?" he inquired.
"Well, he blasts those laser out of his eyes, right?" Lantern replied, pinching his chin in thought.
"It's steeled then, we blind him!" Diana yelled out as she pointed her sword at Lantern.
"That's as good a plan as any. Yeah, we'll follow and stay out of sight. I'll turn on the fireworks to get his attention. Princess and Omnium, you get within striking distance and stab that son of a bitch in the eyes" Lantern told us, following up on Diana's words.
"Like poor, damned Oedipus".
"Yeah, what the hot Greek chick said" Shazam said.
Flash wasn't entirely convinced, "and the invasion of monsters raining from the sky, what about them?".
Metal Man thought for a second, "I might be able to send them back where they came from".
"Good enough for me!" Lantern replied.
The ring bearer took off into the air. "We got this!" he cried out, throwing his uninjured arm into the air.
I crossed my arms to allow the Biomnitrix to change me. My skin became Taydenite, while my physique took on that of Jet Ray.
We each took off towards the villain destroying the city. Flash and Lantern were talking, while Metal Man and Shazam were in the air.
Diana and myself were taking a different route, trying to flank Darkseid. "So, dinner after this?" I asked the Amazonian.
"Happily" Diana replied.
I smiled at that. I'd had a thing for Diana since we'd met on Themyscira three months ago, taking her on a date and showing her 'Man's World', as she called it, seemed like a good place to start.
Shazam was the first to strike. He went in for a punch, but Darkseid simply grabbed him and allowed the lightning to arc off. Flash tried next but got knocked onto a nearby building. Barry started using his speed to jump from building to building and attack the grey villain.
Lantern tried to attack with his ring, but Darkseid throw one of Shazam's lightning bolts at him. "Get him out of there! His show-boating is going to ruin the entire plan" the emerald pilot ordered Diana, before realising what he'd said.
"Oh great, no I'Batman" he muttered.
Diana swung her sword at Darkseid, though it just bounced off it, like before.
Growing annoyed at the attempts to hurt him, Darkseid threw Shazam at Wonder Woman and knocked them both to the ground. Taking the distraction, I flew at him with raver sharp talons and tried to scratch at his eyes.
Flash aided in my attempt by running up Darkseid and kicking him in the chin.
I was able to get close, but one of the aliens tackled me out the way. I landed next to Diana and Shazam just as the Warrior punched him into the wall. "You are a warrior, not a child. Act like it!" she ordered.
"Yes ma'am" he muttered in response.
"Now follow me to victory!" Diana yelled, pointing her sword up into the air as a rally cry.
"She digs me" he said in response, before flying after her.
"She really, really doesn't" I told him, before joining the two.
All six of us charged at Darkseid together, ready to kick the crap out of him.
A large group of the aliens surrounded themselves around Darkseid, flying around him in a formation.
But we only needed one good it to take out both his eyes.
The aliens suddenly flew at us, followed by Darkseid's lasers.
Diana and I got taken out by the beams, while Lantern, Shazam and Cyborg, as we'd started calling him, were stopped by the group of aliens. Flash was the only one to get through. He sped through them and headed straight for Darkseid.
The monstrous alien tried to stop the speedster by firing his lasers at him, but Flash was able to dodge out the way. He began running in a circle beneath Darkseid, which created a vortex of water around the villain.
Flash used his distraction to punch him a couple of times, before running away. Darkseid tried to hit him with the lases, but Shazam had flown in and tried to attack.
He was sent into a building with a single punch and two lasers to the chest.
Cyborg and myself began flying around him. The metallic hero fired energy blasts at him, while Taydenite crystals bounced off his armour.
The signature beams began following us as we back away, though Diana blocked them with her sword.
A green blast of energy suddenly struck Darkseid in the back. He was sent flying away, but stopped just before he hit the water.
"Hey Darkseid" the culprit yelled, catching the alien's attention.
Lantern was floating in the air with a laser canon made from the power of his ring. "Eat this!" he yelled, before the weapon released a blast at the villain.
Darkseid began flying towards the ring bearer, ignoring the blasts going off around him. His eyes glowed the intense red as he simply flew through the construct. It broke into shards and the villain rose up behind the Lantern. He quickly threw up a shield between them, but it all proved to be for nothing as he was punted into the water.
Shazam sent two blows at Darkseid, which were easily blocked. Diana, however, took the chance. She slammed her feet into Darkseid and tried to put him into the water.
At the last second, Darkseid threw her off and made her skid across the water, till she used her flight to stop.
"Come on, giant. I'm getting bored!" she mocked.
Darkseid was unfazed by her words, and said simply.
"This world is mine"
Diana lunged at him, diving up his arm and wrapping her lasso around his neck.
She dragged Darkseid down, just above the water, before tightening the lasso. Darkseid tried to free himself, but it proved to be futile.
He fired his lasers at her, but she blocked the blasts with her gauntlets.
"NOW!" she yelled out behind her.
From the left of the two, I swooped in, talons drawn and scratched out Darkseid's eyes.
Using the distraction, Lantern made a submarine slam into the grey villain and send him flying.
"Holy crap, you did it!" Lantern yelled in celebration.
"Don't celebrate just yet, we still have to actually beat him" I replied.
The aliens brought their leader to a shipping yard. We followed them and watched as they guarded him.
It stood like that for a moment, until they parted and revealed their leader. It was clear the attack had hurt him, and he couldn't use his lasers for a while, but his vision wasn't impaired in anyway.
He was clearly angry at what had happened. Using an insane amount of speed, he burst forward and slammed me into the ground.
He didn't stop though, he began dragging me across the ground as he flew. The crystals on my back started scraping away, leaving a trail of glistening Taydenite behind us
My eyes glowing was his only warning, before I blasted Darkseid in the face with my own laser beams.
His grip on me loosened once I'd made spikes come out my body where he was holding me. Blood leaked from the grotesque holes that now resided in the villains hand. We'd ended up in a destroyed building, with a hole in the roof that allowed in moon light.
Flash suddenly followed us and tried to attack him, though Darkseid had predicted the attack. He jumped up into the air, just as Flash ran past him and punched the Scarlet Speedster in the stomach.
Shazam started firing lightning bolts at the villain, forcing him to cover his face. This allowed Cyborg to blast the ugly bastard from behind.
It only took a moment for Darkseid to refocus. Before we could blind, he'd grabbed Cyborg and thrown him through three walls.
Shazam flew over to Darkseid and punched him with both fists in the back, causing lightning to arc of the villain. He yelled in pain, before Shazam was launched away as well. Diana jumped up and struck Darkseid in the back of the head. Following through on the momentum, she slammed her fist into Darkseid's face and began launching him into the air.
We came out of the building and the alien army flew at us. Diana kept dragging Darkseid into the air, gracefully dodging the aliens as they came at her.
She stopped attacking him and allowed his body to begin freefalling as we each launched attacks at him.
Cyborg fired missiles and energy blasts at him.
Shazam launched lightning at him.
Flash jumped from building to building, punching and kicking at him as he passed.
I struck with a combination of Taydenite and energy blasts.
Lantern made a giant green fist that slammed him into a wall, and we all converged to deal more damage.
We ended up on the other side of the building, where Lantern, Cyborg and Shazam unleashed their ranged attacks at him.
Diana, with her lasso drawn, and I dove down towards him. She wrapped it around his neck and began tying him up.
Shazam had been charging up a lightning spirit bomb above his head, and once Diana had tied him up, he unleashed it.
It struck the dead centre of Darkseid's chest, and we each began attack the hulking brute.
More of the aliens began flying at us. We had to focus on keeping Darkseid contained, but the creatures weren't making it easy.
I began dual-wielding energy beams and Taydenite shards. The beams kept Darkseid at bay, while the shards pierced the aliens.
Suddenly, a huge burst of energy from Shazam knocked all the aliens away and gave us the room to focus on Darkseid.
"Flash, now!" Diana yelled at the speedster as we each struggled to keep him contained.
He looked around for a second, before running off and returning with a crowbar.
Just as Flash began running up the wall, Darkseid broke free of our containments. It didn't matter though. Flash was already in the air and had slammed his weapon into Darkseid's left eye.
Lantern quickly made a bed under Flash to cushion his fall.
Shazam fired a lightning bolt at the crowbar and sent the current surging throughout his entire body.
"Did it work?" the speedster asked as Darkseid screamed in pain.
The electricity became too much for the villain and he was sent flying down to the ground.
"Yeah, I think that worked" Shazam replied.
It only took a few seconds for him to be back in action though.
"Oh come on!" I yelled in frustration as we began flying away.
"Eye balls blown out and he's still standing. What else can we do?" Lantern asked while he fought the aliens.
"Find some way to send him home" Cyborg replied.
Diana asked how as she threw one of the aliens at it's comrades.
Cyborg started explaining how the Mother Boxes, the small devices that had been used to open the portals, worked. They opened Boom Tubes based on Darkseid's instructions.
"I didn't understand a single word you just said" Lantern informed him.
"Buy him some time!" I yelled in response.
Cyborg suddenly took off into the air and started communicating with the Mother Box he had stored. Doing this caused Boom Tubes to open up all over the world that began sucking up the aliens.
Flash was keeping Darkseid busy, who was chasing him around while slamming his fists into the ground. He stopped suddenly, when the omega symbol on his belt glowed red and a Boom Tube opened directly behind him. The portal slowly began sucking the alien in.
"Get him in there!" Diana ordered.
Wait…
That's it!
"Wonder Woman, buy me two minutes!" I yelled out as I turned back to normal.
My feet pounded against the ground as I looked for an open space.
The buildings were two close together here.
As the others fought to get Darkseid into the portal, I began cycling through my transformations.
A red blur sped through the portal and slammed into Darkseid while he was crushing Shazam.
"I am Darkseid!" the villain yelled at the red blur.
"I. Don't. Care" Superman replied, tearing as piece of alien armour off his chest.
The six of them each fired them attacks at Darkseid, forcing him back.
Though, everyone was surprised by what came next.
A huge flash of light occurred and my body turned into a giant's.
I easily towered over the buildings of the once bustling city, and my skin was pale as fresh snow, with red highlights.
"Now who's the big man?" I asked, my voice shaking the buildings.
Everyone was staring in surprise at the new transformation. No one dared move.
Except me.
I crossed my palms in a cross symbol and allowed the energy to flow through me. A huge burst of blue energy slammed into Darkseid, forcing him back into the portal.
Everyone started wailing on him with every they had. Diana and Clark threw punch after punch at him. Hal made a mini-gun and fired constantly at him. Barry ran around and punch him while avoiding everyone else's attacks. Bruce attached his belt to Darkseid's chest and activated two thrusters that almost got Darkseid through. I kept firing my cosmic ray at him.
Cyborg was working on closing the portal, but he suddenly yelled out "It's programmed but I don't have the juice to push it, I need a huge blast of power".
"Shouldn't be a problem" Shazam yelled out.
The two of them flew up into the clouds where lightning began to gather around them.
"SHAZAM".
A huge lightning bolt struck them that lit up the night sky and began charging the Mother Box.
Darkseid tried to drag Clark in with him, but everyone threw one last attack at him that finally closed the Boom Tube.
The structures around the city slowly began to crumble away as we regrouped down on the ground. "Nice job, kid" Green Lantern commented, placing his hand on Cyborg's shoulder.
"Where's Shazam?" I asked as I looked around.
"He took off, said he had a hot date" Cyborg replied.
"Riigghhtt. Who'd go out with that immature hot-head" Lantern inquired.
Batman turned to Cyborg, "what about the human victims?" he asked.
Cyborg stared off for a second, before he replied. "I can see them, just let me get this baby to Boom for me one more time" he closed his eyes before three Boom Tubes opened up and began dropping people into the ocean. "I got this" Lantern stated before he started catching people in a large base ball glove.
"He's good for clean up, at least. How do we keep Darkseid from returning" Batman asked.
"All those Mother Boxes were fried" Cyborg informed us.
"Then they won't be able to get back any time soon" Diana replied.
"Ahh, great. I need a nap" I followed up.
"It's a start".
Suddenly, people started walking towards up as Lantern re-joined us. They were each say something, so I couldn't make out what they were saying.
That didn't matter in the end though.
Their cheers made it clear what they meant.
They all started crowding around us to take photos.
It felt weird to be admired by the public.
Not a bad weird though.
The next day was a brighter one. We were stood outside the White House, listening to the president talk about the alien invasion.
"I can't believe people are no longer are afraid of us" Diana whispered to me.
"Yeah, feels good" I replied.
There was a moment of silence between us. I knew I had to do something. We'd been dancing around each other all night.
Slowly, I slipped my hand into hers and basked in the feel of our palms touching.
"I can certainly say, I've never met anyone like you, Ben" she said with a smile on her face.
The others started talking about what to do in regards to staying together.
"I say we stay together. Last night proved there's things out there more powerful than any one of us" I stated.
"Omnium's got a point. We need a contingency" Batman concurred.
The president suddenly turned to us, his hand covering the microphone. "Gee, I didn't even ask, do you guys have a name?" he asked us.
Nobody wanted to say anything. Until Shazam went to say something.
Safe to say, what ever he'd come up with couldn't be worse than what I'd been thinking.
"We're the Justice League"
A/N: Oh. My. GOD.
8000 words. About a month's worth of writing and one film out of 16. It's currently 2:30 am and I'm done for about a week.
Still, really enjoyable to write for and I haven't seen many people try and write something like this.
