Two weeks after joining Little Homeschool, things were still rough for Jasper; despite the fact that Amethyst had been able to insert her into Little Homeworld, everyone was still unsure or scared of her, maybe due to the fact that she was so intimidating by her own.
Nevertheless, she tried to make herself home, despite her rude ways of reasoning, and followed the advice that Amethyst gave her: starting that so talked training course.
So she started to prepare everything; she got some training facilities by renting them from a local gym with the help of Amethyst and prepared the adversiting flyers with Peridot, who was initially reluctant, but in the end she gave her help too.
The day when everyone was supposed to be present for the course to start, Jasper received a visit from an unexpected familiar face; of all the gems she would've expected to come, Garnet was not in her list.
"Well, Amethyst was telling the truth about the fact that you were actually starting a training course", said the fusion with a calm tone, "So, how are things going with it?".
If things between them would have been like the ones during the old days when they were enemies, Jasper would have never answered and probably started a fight; however, since times were different, she thought that she could have actually give it a try and talk to her normally, "Fairly well; the only things that I need now is that someone could get here and attempt my training".
"Can I volunteer for a try?", that question totally caught Jasper by surprise; she had always been convinced that Garnet was an unstoppable war machine since the defeat she got on the ship the day she came to Earth.
Hearing that the leader of the Crystal Gems wanted to train with her, however, surprised her more than the day she discovered the truth about her Diamond, "Ehm, sure you can, if you are able to keep on the rhythm and trust me; I won't go easy with anyone".
"No problem about that", replied her with a smirk.
By midday, many other gems including Amethyst, had join her lesson; Jasper felt a little uneasy about how she should've regulate her training, but thankfully Garnet volunteered to do the role of couch assistant, which somehow gave her an encouragement and a sense of being in control of the situation.
At the end of the session, many gems left the place satisfied and even complimented with the quartz warrior about her way of training, saying that they would've come again for more.
"Wow, at this rate I might gonna need more than one assistant for the next lessons", she thought, while wondering about what kind of training to do for the next lesson, before her attention was dragged by a gesture of Garnet, a gesture that was sending a clear message: we need to talk.
"Why are you looking at me like that?", she asked the orange gem, noticing the smile on the fusion's face.
"Nothing", replied the other, while still keeping the smile and adjusting her visor, "You've been a pretty good instructor today, I guess now even more gems will be present to your next lesson".
"If you want to be all that soft with me, then thanks for the help of today", replied the other, slowly warming up, "But seriously; with you there's always a reason to talk more than necessary, what do you want from me?".
"I know that you're still thinking about her", said Garnet; Jasper's face went livid after those words, which were immediately followed by others, "I know the you're still thinking about Malachite".
Suddenly, the air around them seemed to have frozen; of all the things that Garnet could have say, why she had decided to bring back that argument again?, "I wasn't thinking about Malachite; I got over it, I have no more desire of fusing".
"Are you sure about it?" "What do you know about it?", demanded rudely the quartz warrior, "How do you know how it will end?".
Garnet closed up to Jasper and took off the visor, revealing her three eyes, "Because you won't know how it will go, unless you do something, Jasper; every time I use my power to see the future, I always see multiple realities which I am not sure if they'll become reality or not, because I can only see the future and not control it".
"Then what's in store for me?", asked Jasper, "What does my future has for me?".
"The only way you can figure it out is to discover the path by yourself", replied Garnet, while putting her visor back, "Now, excuse me, but I have another lesson in program; we'll see again to the next time, or earlier if you want to talk more about it... And Jasper".
"What?" "Thank you for giving a try at changing yourself", said the fusion with a smile, before leaving.
Jasper remained perplexed after that talking; was it really possible that Garnet had somehow predicted everything? The only way she could have figured it out was that she had to discover it by herself though.
Author Note; Hey everyone, here we are again! I know that this one was supposed to be a one shot, but after reading one of the reviews, I've decided to make a little collection of these Jasper moments, in order to make her confront with some of the main characters (plus some extras), just to end the circle of hers with peace (and not only her; about this, you'll have to wait a little longer).
There's also another thing that I want to say about the series finale: it reminded me of the one of Gravity Falls.
Allow me to explain: both finales ended up in a majestic way, but the fact is that they ended in that kind of way that makes you feel like you want to have more from the series, Am I right?
Speaking of the finale, I think that Wiz Khalifa's See you again would have been an excellent song to play during the part where Steven drives away from Beach City.
