"Like hell you are, get away from him!"

Lovino hissed at the demon who stared at him slightly surprised. Never in his career as a demon lawyer he had been harassed by a simple mortal.

"There's no need to get aggressive! Please follow me inside"

An angel with brown hair and green eyes said, with a cheerful smile as he stood between Ludwig and Lovino.

"Huh? Who the hell is this lousy bastard?"

The German took a step back from the insane Italian and stood beside the priest, who looked very disturbed.

"Hola, I'm Antonio and I'm your angel lawyer, now why don't you follow me to my office so we can have a chat?"

Feliciano was lost in his thought, not even focused on what was going on right in front of him, he just stared at his brother, concerned.

"I'm not going with you anywhere without my fratello!"

The angel shook his head, helding Lovino by his wrist and pulling him forcefully out of the toom.

"Don't worry you'll see him later".

Antonio said with his usual friendly smile, dragging the Italian away.

"You bastard, you're going to break my wrist!"

He complained while being taken away by the Spaniard.

"Should we get going?"

The German asked, leaving the room and walking into a hallway where multiple offices were. Feliciano followed him while looking down on the floor.

"Your full name please".

Ludwig demanded, pulling out a scroll from his desk's drawer and opening it on the table.

"Feliciano Vargas".

The Italian replied shyly, still staring at the ground.

"Profession? A priest I can tell".

The demon wrote it down on the yellowish paper with a quill. The Italian remained silent, he was terrified by this man, he had never been so close to the personification of evil.

"Now, tell me the cause of your death".

The priest took a deep breath before looking up and staring into the German's eyes before starting to tell his story.

"I was poisoned".

Ludwig raised an eyebrow and scratched his chin, what an unusual way for a religious man to die, what was the story behind it? He wandered.

"By who and why?"

The Italian, visibly uncomfortable began pinching his hand to calm himself down so he could explain to his lawyer everything that happened.

"It all started on the Easter service, I was preaching as usual when someone in the crowd caught my eye. A beautiful girl from Seychelles that just arrived with her fiancee, Arthur Kirkland. He asked me personally to be their guidance before getting married and of course I happily accepted. But then things got a bit out of hand when Michelle and I began having private meeting".

The Italian paused, his cheeks getting red and his palms a bit sweaty. It was so embarrassing to admit such a thing, but he had to tell his lawyer the whole truth.

"Eventually we developed a more personal relationship and one day she told me that she had broken her engagement to Arthur. She then asked me to flee with her back to her island, but I couldn't accept her proposal. My place was at the church and I couldn't abandon it. That day she left feeling upset and the next week, he appeared in my office to tell me that he had gotten back with her-".

Feliciano was interrupted by Ludwig who completed the narrative.

"So he poisoned you as a way of revenge for sleeping with his fiancee".

The priest nodded, that was exactly what happened although he didn't really appreciate the way the demon phrased it.

"Am I going to hell for this? I broke my chastity vow and committed so many sins".

The German was puzzled. It sure was an unusual and different case. On one hand he broke the vows he made when joining priesthood and on the other hand he had dedicated most of his life doing good deeds in the name of god. It was obvious that the priest would want to get into heaven, but it was going to be a tough fight.

"You want to go to heaven right?"

The Italian nodded, feeling hopeless that this demon could help him in any way.

"It's going to be difficult, I'm not going to lie about that but I'll try my best".

Feliciano's lightened up, at least the German was willing to do his best to save him.

"But just in case things don't go as planned, there's a solution".

The priest was curious, and was willing to hear Ludwig's proposal.

"You can give me your bother's soul in exchange for making you go to heaven".

Lovino's soul? Why did he wanted that? Feliciano couldn't understand anything that was going in.

"What are you going to do with his soul?"

The German sighted, were all the priests that curious and annoying? At least this one was kind of cute.

"As a demon, I get one more year of life for every soul I drag to hell. I can't take yours since you're going to heaven but I can your brother's instead of yours".

Feliciano finally understood what was going on, this was some dirty trick that the demon was trying to play, and he wouldn't go on with it.

"No way! Lovi has just as much opportunity as me to get into heaven".

The Italian argued, which caused a chuckle from Ludwig.

"You think your brother, the gangster, is going to heaven? His hands are spilled with blood, he is doomed".

The Italian was offended, who did this demon think he was? Just because he was a fornicator and a great sinner didn't mean he was going to sell his brother's soul just so he could be in heaven. He would never betray Lovino in such way, his fratello was his only family since their nonno passed away many years ago.

"No! I would never do that to Lovi".

Feliciano shouted, getting up from his seat and about to walk out of the German's office.

Ludwig didn't understand what loyalty was, after all he was just a demon and all those concepts were new to him.

"Wait, I apologize Feliciano, and I also need you to sign on this paper".

The brunette turned around, he took the quill gently and dipped in ink before signing on the yellowish ancient scroll. He was still upset about the suggestion made by his lawyer, and Ludwig could tell.

"Now I'm going to need some of your blood".

The Italian was mortified, what was this demon even making him sign? It wasn't a contract right? He glanced at the scroll, but the title stated clearly that it was an authorization sheet for the lawyer.

"Don't worry, I'm not making you sign anything shady, but I still need some of your blood to certify that you are authorizing me to be your defendant. It's just the underworld paperwork".

Feliciano was still trying to process everything Ludwig said when he got closer and took his hand gently, making the priest began trembling, what was this demon trying to do? Then he bit the brunnete's index finger with his sharp fangs.

"Ah!"

The priest gasped, his eyes a little bit watery from the pain, looking at his bleeding finger as Ludwig took it and pressed his finger on the scroll, leaving a bloody fingermark beside his signature. Feliciano was taken by surprise once more when he found the demon sucking on his bloody finger, which terrified him and at the same time excited him in some way.

"There, now the bleeding will stop in no time".

Ludwig licked his fangs while staring at his client.

"You don't have to fear me".

On Feliciano's face a small grinned appeared. It was the first time he was smiling since he arrived at this place. The German looked away when the priest smiled, he had a warm and welcoming smile. In his many years in the business he had never seen a smile like that. It was almost celestial, how come this guy wasn't an angel?

"I'm not scared of you Ludwig. I'm just a little bit overwhelmed by this situation".

He explained, relaxing his tensed up shoulders and pressing himself against the cold stone wall.

"I understand, this is a difficult moment for any mortal, but don't worry, you'll only be here for 2 weeks as maximum".

The German was trying to calm Feliciano down but instead it backfired.

"2 weeks? That's longer than I expected, where am I supposed to live or even eat?"

The demon sighted, this priest was so nervous all the time, does he ever relax?

"You'll be living with all other others in a lovely church that I'm sure you'll find familiar and about food, you don't need any, you're dead".

As cold and harsh as he may sound. It was the truth, Feliciano didn't even need to sleep or go to the bathroom, dead people really didn't have much to do.

"I guess you're right, I am dead after all".

The brunette sounded a bit down. The demon assumed that being reminded that you're dead and worthless wasn't something nice. He felt bad for the priest, perhaps he should be a little nicer to this man who was so sensitive. He also understood that the way he died wasn't exactly pleasant and he must have so many questions that will forever remain unanswered.

"Take this".

Ludwig took off a garnet ring and placed it on the Italian's thin and pale hands. Leaving the brunette speechless.

"Whenever you need to see me, you just have to recite a simple chant: Crystal me debeo accipere potest, per aerem et mare super terram".

The Italian nodded, of course he understood the spell in latin. It meant: Crystal take me where I must be, through air over land or sea.

Before the priest could even thank him, they were interrupted by the yelling and shouting from the office next door where Lovino and the angel were.

"I think it's time for you to go".

The demon snapped his fingers as he disappeared and Lovino bursted into the office with the angel running behind him.

"Feliciano, where is that bastard lawyer of yours? We're leaving this damn place immediately!"

Antonio flapped his wings, standing behind the priest.

"You're brother is angry because I told him that he most likely will go to hell, and I can't lie about it because I'm an angel".

He explained, Feliciano wasn't even sure how to deal with everything that was going on, thankfully the rest of the mortals showed up, which distracted his fratello.

"Is there really no way Lovi could make it to heaven?"

Antonio paused for a second before shaking his head.

"He probably won't but I'll try my best for him. He's a fightsy one but so adorable!"

Suddenly a demon appeared, a tall one with silver hair, holding a pipe in one hand and the other one dragging the American.

"Gather around visitors of the purgatory, you will now be transported to a place where you can all test and get ready for your session at court tomorrow".

And just with that, followed by the Russian throwing Alfred on the ground, the 6 of them were in a rundown church in the middle of nowhere without any angels or demons.
