Chapter 2

I woke up in a white, gooey, tiny, room. As I looked around the room, I noticed it was in an oval shape. "What the heck." I thought to myself. "Wait, it's like an egg!" I tried kicking at the walls, and it broke through! I stepped out of the egg and looked around at the area I was in. It looked like I was in a different part of the cave Parker and I were in earlier. As I looked around, I noticed another egg. I walked over and broke the shell. Inside was Parker!

I pulled him out and tried shaking him awake. "Parker!" I whisper-screamed. "What?" He mumbled. "Wake up!" I said as I continued shaking him awake. "Why?" He groaned as he tried to roll over. "Now is not the time for a nap." I scoffed. "Fine." He said sitting up "Wait, where are we? What happened?" He asked looking around. "I think we're still in the cave" I explained "Okay, but what happened?" he asked. "Don't you remember?" I asked, shocked. "Remember what?" "The skeletons, chickens and that one giant chicken." "The skeletons and chickens I remember, but not the giant one." He replied, looking confused. "I don't know, but I think there's something weird going on," I remarked. "No, giant and evil chickens are completely normal" Parker said sarcastically. "Whatever, let's just get out of here," I said. "Wait, what about our weapons?" "Oh, right. Let's look for those first." I then helped him up and we began looking for my sword and his bow and arrows.

Parker

As we looked, I began thinking about our friends and family. "How long do you think we've been out?" I asked while observing a small tunnel. "I don't know. Dad's probably worried about us." "Yeah," I replied. "Hey, over here!" Jasmine called from the other side of the room. She had here diamond sword and bow and arrows in her hands. "Good job. Where'd you find them?" I asked her taking the bow and arrows from her hands. "In this little cave." She said triumphantly. She was standing in front of a little cutout, almost like a shelf. It looked man-made. "Huh, I wonder who made that." I remarked, "Or what." she replied, "Now let's find a way out of here!" She said. I just nodded my head in agreement. We then began looking for a way out.

We began to talk about our friends while we looked for an exit. People from a village have been going missing starting about a month ago, and sadly, several of our friends have gone missing as well. "Do you think the same thing happened to them?" She asked, referring to us being kidnapped by the chickens."I don't know, but it seems likely." I responded. "I wonder why they haven't escaped yet." She said thinking out loud. "Maybe they haven't woken up yet," I replied. "Maybe they won't wake up" She said quietly. We stopped talking after that. I began looking around again and noticed a stream of light above us. "Hey, look up there!" I exclaimed as I pointed at the light. She looked to where I was pointing, and then looked to me excited. "I looks big enough for both of us to fit in!" She squealed excitedly. "I know, but how do we get up there? It looks pretty high up." I pointed out. "Hmm, good point." She answered, her brow furrowed in concentration. "Let's look around and see if there's anything we can use in here," I suggested. She agreed to this, and we split up to look.

As I looked around, I noticed another little shelf thing. In it was an iron pickaxe. I grabbed it and ran back to find Jasmine. She was waiting for me back under the light with a rope in her hands. "Perfect!" She cried out. "Here, give me the rope," I told her. She handed it to me and I tied it firmly to the handle of the pickaxe. I then swung it up to the hole. It took quite a few tries before getting it through the hole, but it finally did. I gave it a few tugs to ensure it wouldn't fall. "I'll go first, then I can help you up, okay?" "Okay" she agreed. I then began climbing the rope. It was harder then it looks, and I almost slipped a few times, but I finally made it out of the cave. "Alright, come on!" I called Jasmine. She then climbed the rope (much faster then I did I noticed) and then I helped her up. "Alright, where are we?" she said looking around. "How would I know that," I replied. She ignored the remark. It looks like where not too far from the oak forest. The oak forest is the forest right behind our village. She was right I thought as I looked where she was looking. "Alright, let's start walking." She declared. "Yup," I replied. And with that, we began to head home.
