I was happy to be on the S.S. Tipton knowing I wouldn't have to live in the same room as Zack. I'd miss Cody, but that wasn't anything new. Him, and I were almost like twins ourselves. The only other problem I had with Zack is the fact that he blamed me for everything he would do wrong.
"Cassidy, my how you've grown. However, if you're on board that must mean the devil twins are on board too." Mr. Moseby hugged me before eyeing me with terror in his eyes.
"Mr. Moseby, it's been two weeks. I haven't grown that much, and yes they are. Zack is mainly the evil one." I said correcting him with a small smile on my face. I was prepared to share a cabin along with ready to unpack my things. I just didn't know who my roommate was going to end up being.
"I've gotta prepare everyone on-" Mr. Moseby didn't get to finish his sentence.
"Mr. Moseby!" Mom, Cody, and Zack shouted coming into view with smiles on their faces.
I should have scurried off before Zack could see me, and start a glaring contest. I was sick of arguing, and fighting with him, but being nice to him wasn't something that worked with him. I couldn't do anything right in his eyes, and that really upset me more than anything else.
Mr. Moseby started screaming.
"He's happy to see us!" Cody shouted with a happy smile on his face.
Zack was busy shooting daggers into me with the glare he kept giving me.
Why was it always this way between the two of us? What had I done to make him hate me so damn much? Sighing, whatever happiness I had been feeling evaporated instantly.
"I'll see you later." I spoke to no one in particular with my eyes on the floor. I didn't even bother telling my mom goodbye since it wouldn't have mattered anyway. I made my way to my room, and fell onto my bed on the brink of tears.
"Well, well, if it isn't Cassidy Martin. My favorite girl."
I shot up with a smile on my face recognizing that voice.
"James Perez?" I smirked.
James Perez was the younger brother of Brandon Perez, and we were the same age. He was fit for someone my age, and good looking. He smiled showing his pearly white teeth to match those sky blue eyes, and his dirty blonde hair.
I might as well have melted at the sight, and charm of him. I rushed over to him, and threw my arms around him in a warm embrace.
"Looks, like we're going to be sharing a cabin. There are no more available ones, and it's good to see you again. Where are your overprotective twin brothers?" James said breathing into my hair.
Everyone was taller than me, and I was a short thing.
"Sharing a cabin? And, they were saying goodbye to our mother the last time I checked. Why?" I cocked an eyebrow with a playful smile on my face.
A horn blew while I still waited for James to answer me.
"Yes, and I only ask because, I'm kind of concerned about you." James whispered letting go of me, and moving towards the only available bed.
"What do you mean concerned, and why?" I asked thoughtfully. I kept my eyebrow cocked, and thought back to the night we caught mom kissing Brandon.
...
"Why aren't you three in bed?" She asked with a cocked eyebrow.
"Have they eaten?" Brandon asked her curiously.
She took her eyes off of us to look at him, and look around the room. Her eyes grew wide with realization, and she pulled something out of the oven.
"Here you go!" Mom shouted giggling while holding up one of the oven racks.
Brandon shook his head in disbelief.
"Order food, and I'll put your mother to bed." Brandon told us, and he helped her to the bedroom.
Was she drunk?
"This is all your fault. If you weren't adopted let alone born, our mom would still be sane." Zack glared at me.
Was he seriously blaming me again? He was the oldest. He should be blamed for ruining her life.
"Zack, don't." Cody warned knowing it was going to be another bad fight.
"You cannot blame everything on me. You were born before I was even adopted. Damn it, Zack stop blaming me for your problems!" I shouted back getting really tired of his hurtful words, and false accusations.
"I'm not an ungrateful selfish little brat. You are!" Zack yelled at me with spit flying from his face into mine.
Seriously?
Cody watched helplessly. He wasn't sure what to say. He didn't know what to do.
"Maybe, your problem is that you need to get laid. Maybe, you wouldn't be such a whiny little bitch all of the time." I spat back with hate clear in my eyes, and tone as I pushed him so hard he fell on the floor.
"Calm d-"
Zack shot up so fast, and tackled me to the couch holding my arms down on either side of my head with a glare in his eyes.
I glared back just as harshly.
Cody began pacing back, and forth anxiously.
I saw a flicker of something unrecognizable in his eyes before disappearing. I didn't know what it was, and didn't want to.
"What the hell is wrong with you three?!" Brandon shouted at us causing Zack to let me go, and get off of me.
I continued laying where I was as a cold shudder passed through me. I sat up, and looked around.
...
"Earth to Cassidy!" James was waving a hand in front of my face.
"Yes?"
"Wanna go to the SkyDeck?" He asked.
I nodded my head, and we were off.
